About This Class

This class is taught by Adam Englebright. He works as an analytics consultant for Measurelab, based in sunny Lewes, UK, helping clients figure out how to track their website, setting up and maintaining tags and analysing the resulting data. He works mostly with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, using spreadsheets and R for more advanced analysis where necessary.

The class is designed to introduce you to some of the basics of Google Tag Manager. It will cover the initial setup of a Google Tag Manager container, the underlying theory behind what makes up the Google Tag Manager container, taking a look at tags, triggers, variables and also the dataLayer, the creation of a simple Google Analytics Pageview tag and then previewing, testing and publishing the tag. This course is designed for people with no prior Google Tag Manager experience, and should give them a foundation on which they can further develop their Google Tag Manager skills.
