The following lessons will provide you with helpful insights and all the means to create a beautiful glass painting will be going to use acrylic colors which are highly accessible, and you can find all the links to the materials we recommend in the class description. The project that we prepare for you for this class is painting a beautiful, dreamy unicorn color in Busted. Let's start now. 2. 2. Art Supplies: I supplies name for this class. You need the following our supplies. Paper. Pass it. He raised her marker glass and its frame. A cruel ex painting set. Paintbrush. She's wooden's cure Tape. Caesar's Carter. We know cleaner paper towel, water bottle palette, rag metallic paper. Feel free to add that here. If you have some golden paper or in your paper laying around, use one of those. Or if you have a liner instead of marker, use it. You've got the point. 3. 3. Rules of Glass Painting: essentially for glass painting. Less painting has forced simple rules that are mandatory. If you don't follow them. The results can be quite bad and, most important, difficult. Correct. If banking on canvas, wood or paper gives you the opportunity to cover your mistakes, glass painting would first rule. Wait until the colors are fully dried before painting on top or in juxtaposing. If you hurry, you risk ruining your painting. Like in this example, you can just suppose toe wet pains if you want to create a Grady Int vote. Second rule. Transparency is magic. Think about this rule as a very intuitive one. What's amazing about bless its transparency, So think to play with transparency, as you can observe in these examples. Third rule. This is a common rule for painting, drawing and writing always started painting, having in mind that you shouldn't touch it with your hand while working on it. For example, if you're right handed, start from the top left off the image and if you're left handed, start with hope right off the image. Keep a piece of paper underneath your hand tow. Avoid transferring oils from your skin unless the natural grease off your skin. No matter how hard you wash your hands, the oils are still there will prevent the paint toe a deer on the glass surface. Fourth rule. The details need to be added. First, Think about bless painting as a inverse process off the paper would or canvas painting, for example. Here you can see the white added before the yellow, the yellow before the blue and the blue before the green. Layering is the key. If you are familiar with for the shop, think about layers in this program and how they function painting on glass. 4. 4. The Outline Design: that line design. First, you need a now outline design for your glass painting. You can create one, as you can see in the video, or you can download a free one from the Internet, for example. Ah, coloring page for Adel's works just amazing. Be aware off the dimensions off your piece of glass, and the doctor dimensions off the design while printing it. For this class will use a new unicorn design that is also available in the documents attached to this class. If you want to create your own model, use a pencil and a piece of paper trays, the dimensions off your glass on a piece of paper and for your imagination. - After you drew your image, use a marker or a liner to clear your design lights. - Remember that you are going to paint on the back off the glass so everything will be mirrored if you're designed. Contains letters or numbers. Remember to mirror them accordingly. 5. 5. Cleaning properly the glass: cleaning. After you decide on your model and you have gathered all the our supplies clear glass with a window cleaner or rubbing alcohol on paper towers. Wait until is fully drive to start painting. If you're extra clumsy or you are painting with your child, please put tape on the edges off the glass. They're sharp and they can be harmful. If not handled with care, better be safe than sorry. 6. 6. Preparing you palette: you can use as a pink, different objects that you have around the house. You don't need to invest in one. It is best if the surface is no trolling color, something like quite transparent or a light gray. This way you can see the shades that you create correctly. I have a few plexiglass pieces, and I use them since forever. You can easily peel off the acrylic panes from them on, and they're like new. You can use ceramic plates, all plastic cutting boards. Casserole leads ex cetera. 7. 7. The Outline Tracing: After you have cleaned your glass and prepare your palate, it's time for you to start painting. Place your glass on top off your design and start tracing the outlines. Using a tin brush. Be careful. Starts from the opposite corner to your dominant hand and trying to place your hand on top off wet paint. Remember the rule after you finished the outline, wait for the paint dry, and if you want to correct some parts, use the sharp end off a secure and stretched. 8. 8.1. The Details: start adding the accents and the details that you want to see first. Usually the light colors are added, but you can add also their colors. Depends on your final. Remember to think about the layers for our class project. We need to add the light accents along the black outline and to paint some white kid stars around the unicorn also contouring the face off the unicorn, starting with its life parts. Don't forget to check how the front off your painting looks like. Remember that you're working on the back so you only see the bad yearning to see the face. 9. 8.2. The Middle Tones: remember about the important part of using the transparency of place as your ally. Play around with different shades off color and imagine the shadows off the unicorn. Here are not that many rules beside B s. Creative as you can be, there's no mistaking creating a full of colors. Don't forget to leave some clean surfaces to fill them in the next step. 10. 8.3. The Backgrounds : the backgrounds start painting, then backgrounds use colors that are in contrast with the details that you previously painted. For example, the stars pop up on this with a marine blue right. Apply the paint a little bit transparent. The metallic paper that you're going toe ad next really reach the surfaces. 11. 9. Framing and The End: start preparing your friend. Use the same acrylic panes and pick a shape that is again in conference with your painting . Contrast is important. Think about being and young. - After the painting is fully dried. Apply a metallic known or a bright shaded paper on the back. Put your glass painting into your friend and clean the front with a paper towel and the window cleaner. We hope you enjoyed painting on last week. 20 Towards feel free to ask All questions that you have in mind about the technique will be more than happy to follow up. Thank you for taking this class.
