About This Class

In this class I am hoping you are close to publishing your class if you already don't have one published but the next important element of your class is of course getting students to enroll.

Your class doesn't do any good by simply sitting and not getting any enrollments nor student engagement in your class.

In Part 4 I will cover some of the reason why your class may not be getting enrollments as well as some things to keep in mind and ways to tweak your first class to set it up for success.

I understand the struggle of getting enrollments into your first class so this is why in Part 4 I will be giving you insight into how to make your first class a success.

If you are ready, click the enroll button and let's jump right into talking about why your class isn't getting any enrollments.

1. Introduction To When Your First Class Isn't Getting Enrollments: Hi there. Welcome to part four of creatives teaching on skill share. So in this section, you should already be planning if not having your first class published. But what happens when you don't get any enrollments or you were getting some enrollments and then also in your enrollments stopped in this class? We're gonna cover just that. We're gonna take a look at what to look at when you're enrollment stopped. What you can change to boost your romance. And some of the reasons why you're enrollments may have stopped. So if you have your first class published and you are ready to take a look at the enrollments to keep an eye on your class to make sure it's getting consistent enrollments, go ahead, Click that arrow button and I'll see you on the inside. 2. #1 Thing To Focus On: So let's get right into it for your very first class. I personally would recommend that you let 50 to 100 students in for free. Now, what typically most teachers want to do is get 25 students and get enrolled into the revenue system with skill share and change their class to premium. But here's the thing. This is your first class. You do not have any social proof. No one knows who you are. No one knows what type of classes you're gonna be teaching. All they know is that you have this one class that only has 25 students in. If you were a premium member that paid monthly on skill share, would you enroll in a class that only has 25 students? I personally would be leaning towards a note because that's telling me this class is not as popular as some of the other classes. Now think about this long term. The most popular classes on skill share have 10,000 plus students enrolled, so given away 50 to 100 slots in your class four free is gonna be a great way to get social proof. That's a big number. You went from singles, two doubles and now finally triple digits. As far as the students that are gonna be following you that are gonna be getting a notifications that's big. And to some, it might seem, while 100 people, that might be hard to get, but it really is not. That is the start of building social proof, but a class that has ah 100 students is way better than having only 50. So I know that you want to start earning money from your classes for the premium members than a role in your classes. But first and foremost, before you jump all the steps to get into making revenue on your class, you need to focus on building social proof. 3. Get Your Class To Trend: So the first reason on why you're enrollments may have stopped could be something to do with the skill share trending system. So with the trending system, whenever you publish your first class, the 1st 2 weeks is when your class has the highest chance of getting a lot of enrollments. After two weeks, it just drops off. So when you see the trending tab in skill share, those are the classes that are either new or very popular and still trending, so getting your class to trend is very important. Therefore, getting your 1st 25 students within the first week is gonna be essential. I would even say challenge yourself to get 25 students within the 1st 3 to 4 days just so your class can get onto the trending page and have more eyes on it. And with more eyes that are gonna be on it, the more students you have visiting your page, the higher chance you have of students enrolling in your class. So when the two weeks is up, if your class hasn't been trending that well hasn't been getting a lot of enrollments, you're probably gonna be dropping down the trending page and your class is now gonna be slowing down enrollments or completely stopping if your class doesn't have social proof. 4. First Reason Why You're Not Getting Enrollments: another reason why you're enrollments may have stopped or you're not getting as many enrollments as you hoped that you would in your class is because of your preview video. Now, in Part three, I talked about the importance of your introductory video that is gonna be your sales video to get the student hooked and enrolling into your class. So when you click on your class and you go to view stats, how many people are visiting your page and how many people are enrolling? If you have a lot of people visiting your class, that is a very good sign that probably says that one. Their interest in the topic and to you probably have a good thumbnail, but the preview video did not convince them that they should enrol in your cost. So with your costs, do not be afraid to change up your preview video. Get feedback from other people, whether it's family, whether it's friends on what you could do to change your preview video to help boost your enrollments. Because if you do not have a solid preview, video students will not enroll. That's the bottom line. So if you're not getting enrollments, I highly suggest switching up your preview video 5. Second Reason Why You Aren't Getting Enrollments: The third reason for why your class may not be getting enrollments or your enrollments may have completely stopped is due to the fact that your class doesn't look active, so the number one thing on skill share is engagement. You want students to enroll in your class to watch your class, to leave a review, to post a project to leave a post in the community section. That would be the ideal student. Now most students are not going to do all those things, so I would highly suggest aiming to get six or more reviews for your first class. You as a teacher should be posting in the community post a welcome message welcoming your students and any additional information you want to provide to the student that is related to that class. The last thing I would recommend is posting an example project. So as you go through my classes, you typically see I am the 1st 1 that has a project in my class because I highly encourage students to post projects. But students may sometimes overlook this project area because there is nothing there yet when they click on your class. If they enroll in your class, they'll be watching the class. They can go in and look at the project that's already there and decide if they want to contribute by posting their own project or even if they want to give your project. Ah, heart. All of the's different components make your class not only look active, but you are now engaging the students in your class. So the future students that take a look at your class some of those things may be a contributing factor to whether they enroll or they don't enroll. 6. Third Reason Why Your Aren't Getting Enrollments: so another reason why you may not be getting enrollments in your first class or your enrollments have completely stopped is due to the fact that your class is no longer in the right category or the students have already looked at your class, and they now are skimming over it. So that tells me one thing. Change your category so typically, if you're a creative person, you have multiple category options to choose from. My creative classes, depending on what I am teaching, can be in the crafts, the design, lifestyle and even this Siri's can be in the film category. So if your class is not in the right category, you will see that your costs is not getting enrollments or if it's been there too long. After the two week period, you will see your in Romans drop. So I suggest going into a different category to present your class to a different category and get fresh eyes onto your class in hopes of boosting your enrollment. A good example is the Siri's. So when I started posting these Siri's I posted into the crafts because it had do with creativity and creativity, is a subcategory of crafts my class. Is that not? Do so Well, so then I was thinking OK, this is obviously not my target audience. I switch my class to design and lo and behold, I started getting enrollments So it's OK for your classes to be in different categories. Don't feel like you only have to stay in the crafts. You Onley can stay in the fashion. You can only stay in the film. Feel free to change it up to find your target audience. 7. My Personal First Class Checklist: now in conclusion, I want to share with you my personal check list off. What I would do with my first class one is to get at least 100 students in my first class with six or more reviews, you're gonna welcome the students in the community section of your class and you're going to post an example project this way by having goals. You are not stuck. You are not at a standstill. You're always looking at your class from different angles to see what can be changed up to continue getting enrollments into your first class. 8. Continue Learning With Me : Hi. You have now reached a in this class. So what did you think of this class? If you enjoy the class, I would love to see a thumbs up review from u. I love all my students feedback. It helps me plan for my future classes. So now let me show you a couple things related to my profile. So the first thing when it comes to class recommendations, I will always have a post under this community tap that will show you what other classes you can take by me. But at this moment, I have over 47 different classes and how you can find out what other classes you can enroll to is by simply clicking on my profile name. And this will open up my page. And if you're a premium number, it's not going to cost you anything extra. And you can enroll in these at any time so you can press the Seymour and there you go. Any class you're interested in, Simply click on it and start watching it. So thank you once again for enrolling in my classes. I hope you had fun. Learned a lot of new stuff.
