About This Class

Welcome to the Garnet Hoops Earrings class! This class will take you step by step through making a pair of beautifully shaped earrings with rich red garnet briolettes hanging below. This is a solder-free project, but we will be using some of the soldering kit to make a pair of extra long head pins that hold the garnets in place.

This is one of a series of video classes, each one showing you how to quickly and easily make a lovely pair of earrings - sometimes two pairs - as part of my #52earrings challenge. I have challenged myself to design and film tutorials for 52 pairs of earrings in 2017, and I'd love you to join me.

In each video I will show you the materials you will need, explain the tools and equipment and go through all the steps needed to create your own lovely pair of earrings. Along the way I will share with you the same hints and tips that I teach in my jewelry making classes and private tuition so that you become more confident with your techniques and design skills with each class that you watch.

This class is for intermediate jewellery makers as previous experience of wirework would be useful.

The equipment needed for the project is explained in the videos and also listed on a downloadable document that covers all of the tools that I will use in future earrings video classes as well so you can plan ahead! All the equipment listed can be used for a variety of other jewellery making projects.

Jewellery Designer, Tutor and Writer

I have been making jewellery for as long as I can remember, and have been passing these wonderful (and addctive!) skills on through my classes for nearly 20 years. I am self-taught and like many people I started with wire and beads. Learning how to solder, however, opened up a whole new world of jewellery making! There is something so magical about watching solder flow through a seam, joining two pieces of metal together smoothly.

My studio is in Southampton, on the South Coast of the UK. I design and make jewellery for galleries across the UK, teach regular and popular jewellery design workshops, and also offer private tuition. My jewellery design projects have been published in both UK and US magazines and books.

1. Garnet Hoop Earrings - a no-solder project: my name's John. I'm a jewelry designer and chief. Okay, welcome to the garnet groups. A pair of earrings, this class. I love her drop earrings with lots of movement in them on a pair of beautiful, faceted Garnett Rio that's at the bottom. This is a no soldier project, but we are going to be using a few pieces from soldering kit. Most importantly, the small blowtorch. We're going to be using that to form a pair of very long head pins that are going to be used to attach the rear that beans to the rest of the earrings. This class is passed 52 areas change. I've challenged myself design and film tutorials for 52 different has of earrings throughout the year. I'd love you to join me in the change. Look out the hashed like 52 airings in Facebook. So if you're ready, let's get started on Hubble. For the equipment of iTunes, you bench need to make the area 2. Garnet Hoop Earrings - equipment: section class. I'm going to show you the tools that you're going to need to make the earrings. I'm going to be using a Sharpie and the ruler to mark out the length of rectangular wife. So I'm going to cut for the hoop of the bottom of the earrings. They're going to cut that wire with the jurors sore and support my work on the bench. Paige, with the apron underneath to catch the dust 30 can be recycled. I've got two hammers here. I've got the Swiss style, the cross peen hammer. This I'm going to use. Put a texture into the silver. Andi, I've got the round face plan ish ing hammer that I'm going to use to hammer the ear wise. Give them a bit of strength. Andraz some hammering The silver is going to be supported on the bench block with the leather cushion underneath to help keep the noise down a little bit, I'm going to need to use the needle file to round off the edges off the rectangular weir and to smooth the end piece of wire on the air, wise to make it comfortable for them to go through your ears I've got four different sets. Suppliers Onda pair of wire cutters here as well. I've got to flat lows pliers going to be using those for various jobs. A round nose pliers I'm going to use for starting to form the ear wise. Andi. I've got a pair of stepped suppliers, or sometimes called bail forming pliers here that I'm going to use. Both shaped the rectangular weir That's the bottom of the hearings on also helped me form the ear wires. We're going to need to drill three holes in the retain your the wire for the various other parts of the earrings to attach on Tooth. Um, I'm going to use my little electric bench drill because, well, I like using us, and it's very quick and easy to use, but you can use any hands, Jill. Instead, I'm going to be using a 0.9 millimeter drill bits in there. Although this is a no sort of project, we are going to get a few pieces in the soldering kit because we're going to be making a couple of very long head pins to attach the Bria. Let's at the bottom. But the very bottom of the airings. Although we're not gonna be doing any soldiering on this project, you are going to need a few bits as the soldering kit. I've got a pair of er section two eaters Hold the while I'm working with it and a pair of brass tweezers to put the white in and out of the pickle. The tweeters are sitting on a couple of soldiering bricks on bond. They are intensity young, couple off site tiles order that she's going to add a bit of fireproofing to my work desk. We're just going to need a small blowtorch for the project, but I've got the high technical quench pot for cold water on my slow cooker. But for the safety, Pickle says, I can call the work down and clean it up. Remember, Sterling Silver has got 7.5% copper in it, and that's reacts with the heat and oxygen. The flames because copper oxides, the safety pickle, helps clean out off, and it works best and fastest when it's a war. The plastic sieve is there because it can save you a little bit of time and trouble. I'm going to drop the finished head pins inside the sieve in the quench brought to call them down and then put the sieve in the safety pickle. It would just mean that I don't have to go fishing around at the bottom of the quench pot or the safety pickle forward by small, thin head pins if you're going to follow that tip. So please make sure that your sieve is just plastic. You don't want any metal bits in there. Otherwise, they could cause problems that could actually discolor the silver when it's inside the pickle. Last but definitely not least our powers Safety glasses. You've only got one pair of eyes. Please do look after them. 3. Garnet Hoop Earrings - materials: the's of materials that you're going to need to make a pair of earrings for this class. The hoop that's going to swing below the ear wires is going to be made out of rectangular weir. This wire is four millimeters by no 40.84 millimeters, And it's why that I find very useful for a variety of projects. What alternative duty? Much angular. Why would be to use a piece off very thick, round wire, say, two millimeters or thicker on, then toe hammer that, or to send it through the rolling mill to flatten it into a more rectangular shape? I'm going to be making the air wires out of no 0.8 millimeters as usual, a nice thickness toe hold its shape but not too sick to be uncomfortable as it goes through the holes in your years. And I've got some off cuts of chain on DSA, um, small 2.5 millimeter jump rings to attach the ear wise toothy hoop made of direction here wire. I've made sure that the links of the chain is I'm using are big enough for no 0.8 millimeter wire to pass through. If you didn't have any suitable off cuts chain. Then you could perhaps just use a row of jump rings. Instead. I've got some lovely faceted Garnett. Really? Let's to hang below the hoop on the earrings to fish everything off. Obviously, only going to be using two of these. Somebody find the best match pair after the selections I've got, but they just look lovely or piled up together. So I thought I show you them like this, but I'm going to be using the no 0.4 millimeter or 26 gauge wire to attach the re elects to the rest of hearings. 4. Garnet Hoop Earrings - sawing the wire: way. Use a Sharpie on the ruler to mark 2.5 century, 25 millimeter length from the end, off the rectangular. While I'm gonna cut that off and then going to mark a second mark the same length uncut that off. But the reason why I haven't marked the first on the second and then cut them off in turn is that if I went slightly off the off piece here off the line here when I was soaring across then the second mark would be inaccurate. So it's like you best take your time, Mark one. Cut it, Motley. Second cost it. So we're going to support the work on the bench peck so that I can get the blade up in the cutout section here and cut first out? No. Okay. No. Remember, when you're soaring, you want to hear nice, smooth, rhythmic sound. You don't want to hear a loud a harshest sound. That would mean that the blade was getting stuck. That would be caused by you putting too much pressure on the blade. This well, that blade do the work for you. Just a nice, smooth, rhythmic sound. And it would cut through quite nicely. You may have noticed that was the end. I moved my fingers so that I had a finger either side of the cut line. That was to support the work little bit better as I was cutting it out. So remarks the second to house centimeter length Now. Yeah. There you go. That's the start of the year rings. Theme ends. Need firing to needing them off for, Nor city. Make sure they are both the same length. But I'm actually going to text you them first. Because if I were to file them and then hammer them, the ends would get distorted again and I'd have to refile them. There's no point doing the same job twice. So when a text you first on their neat in the ends up 5. Garnet Hoop Earrings texturing: way texture. The earrings of my favorite cross peen hammer on cross peen just means that the hammerhead goes straight across straight lines. That's going to give a series of lines going down the silver. I'm gonna have to be careful when I hammer using this, that I do hammer even the on basically just having evenly going down the middle of the silver. I don't have a more on one side than the other. Cassette was actually changed the shape of the silver a little bit because the silver actually moves at right angles. The head of the hammer that's a silver so as his hammer goes straight across right angles, is up and down that way. So if I hammer going up and down the silver quit stretch a little bit so far to have on one side more than the other, that changed the shape of the hearings, which sometimes it's nice to do deliberately. Andi, I do have a new wings class that would teach how to do that if you want to do that. But this time I actually do just want to keep them straight. Se That's one was in C. It has stretched it out a little bit, so we have to make sure that I hammer them both of the all the same length. Or maybe even do a little bit firing to trim a longer one off in for a while. But the hammering shooter should end up with them being same length. I go both the same length. This one has actually got a little bit of a curve in it again. Just hovering just like the curving that way off. See, not in. He's much my hand, which is a little curve that way. So hammering you put more bit more down that age. The shorter edge has, uh, has got it lined up. Nice again, Andi. They are both as close as I can Make it with a hammer the same length. So next job is to file the ends to get them nice and smooth. 6. Garnet Hoop Earrings - filing: thank you. Need a file to smooth and round off the edges off. The wives was rather them off because I don't want the sharp corners on here cause they be a little bit uncomfortable. So it's going to make sure that see ends. Ah, fairly square. First of all, I don't have to be completely perfect because they're not gonna be Soldering joins up with the soldier together but still want them. That's a really obvious angle. It's useful to look at them from both sides when you're checking the angle as well. I'm happy with that. So now some guns do is sweep across. Just take that corner off. Just remove any birds as well, just sweeping across the end. Well, I come doing at the moment holding the wire, so I holding the file at about 45 degrees to the What I just sweeping cross like that just helps to get rid of any birds that might have formed as I've been firing the wire. - And that took less than a couple of minutes. But that's really is an important step in making the earrings. It does give them a much nicer look and feel the next thing I need to do is Mark. Why want to drill the holes that will attach the other components of these hopes on what she drew them? 7. Garnet Hoop Earrings - drilling: way. Really Use the ruler on the Sharpie to Mark Weir won three holes to be drilled on one of the links of wire. Andi. Now I'm going to do the same to the second I marked the midpoint. These pieces of why has actually grown ever so slightly since there being 25 millimeters and 26 millimeters, not a massive amount of growth with it doesn't make a difference when you wanting to find the exact middle. So I found the midpoint drew up from mid point on, then put a line across just by eye to find the mid section there and then again by I just point, put a dot a little bit maybe a millimeter millimeter and 1/2 in from the end, where I'm going to still holds either end for the change or touch on. Then this is where the bead is going to hang below. So I'm going to use first ones that guide two marking out second, everything lined up nicely lying down. And then it's the mid point. My point there. Just use something for me to a match from drilling. Andi. Okay, so three holes to be drilled on each. Andi. I'm going to be using lying our civil bench drill to help me do that, because that's going to keep the drill nice and upright. Drillbit. Nice and upright. Andi. It's nice and Quicken et to use, however, a handrail would do the job just as well. Two most important things when using an electric drill like this. Number one where I protection because it would only take one little thing flying up. Teoh it. Who's damage? So you want to protect yourself and got one pair of eyes on. Second thing is to take time lying everything up nicely on Don't rush it. So I've got the silver supported on a very old, beaten up piece of wood. Andi and he's a handle on the edge. So the side of the eventual just to lower the drill, bit like so on. Guy moved of silver to so that that mark would be nicely underneath. I hope it. So what's bit busy? Silver got such my finger and moved it move. I didn't want it to soak everything lined up there. Now the fuel goes on way. One home in the hole at the other end, with a bench trial like this. You don't doesn't punch the hole. We don't wanna go controlling with the handle and try and punch the hole out. You know the drill bit. Find the biting point and then guide it through so that it start to cut on. Lower it down further. Ah, second hole was lying it up as I was bring the drill bit down as it was spinning, which, with a bit more experience, you can do which, if you are just starting to learn how to use one of these, then get everything lined up and then turn it on again. A bit more experience. Bring it down slowly and get everything lined up. If you bring the drill bit, tell. So there's the first section with three holes in, so I do the 2nd 1 too much. - So we go both pieces of wire with the three host drilled in them. I just need to shape those, and then that's that part of the year in complete 8. Garnet Hoop Earrings - shaping the hoops: I'm going to shape the lengths of Rectangular Weir with a set of stepped Mandel or bail forming pliers that you see here. Unlike having around knows, they've got three different sized circular sections on one knows, and on the other side, this fits quite flat on its protected here with a piece of tubing. By the way, every now and again this picture tubing get so beaten up on de so worn away that I replace it. I just replace it with the length of tube ings I got from a shop that sells kit for fish tanks just the length of aquatic tube I bought about a meet several years ago, and you see, it doesn't need much, so I still got quite a bit than me to left. But what this does is allow you to hold the wire quite firmly and bend it around this section without putting any marks from this side of the place that cushions the wire, quit and protects it. So I'm going to do around this way. Easier to set up is put that middle section so it's it's lined up neatly in the middle of the virologist section. Revenge around the largest section are making certain that the UnTech stirred side is going to be only inside the curl. I'm holding it firmly that allows me just to bend the's round. Still a check. That's a nice, nice, even shape. I'm happy with that. So three these really do make the job nice and easy. You could use a knitting needle or a wooden down pro, even the barrel of a pen. But these made the job really nice and easy because they grip the wire tightly to help you to get a nice firm hold on. Such a short piece of wire went down like that on the other side. We'll double check. Hadn't quite so see, I put them up from here, having quite bent those ones round as much as thes. There's just case of putting it back on back. Um applies pushing tunes with further so we owe to Nice even shapes quite easy to form using these pliers. So now it's time to make the other sections of the earrings 9. Garnet Hoop Earrings - making the head pins: Ah, cut to lengths of approximately 12 centimetres off the north 120.4 millimeter or 26 gauge wire on. And I'm not going to pull up one end of each piece of wire on that is then going to sit in site. Or we threaded through the hoop that was made out of rectangular wife with the middle hole on the ball. Well, then stop the wife from slipping all the way through. So, essentially making a very long head pain on, and I'm going to hold the wire in the reverse action tweezers while I work well, I've got everything set up safely. So on white handed I've got the blowtorch on my left. The quench prosper, my right Seiken melt the wire and then pushed in the quench pot on I've got the area behind me, protected by a cup of extra fire bricks. The flames Not very big, so it's not going to go very far, but it's still better be safe than sorry. Some return this song, and if I showed up how tweeze is the flame, we'll see here. But just the tip of the blue cone there turns up a bit more. Okay, so holding the white just inside. Well, there we go. Very race thin wise. That brought up very, very quickly. So I just held. It just incites the tip of the blue or so just outside, just in front of the tip of the cone just inside the flame. It's balled up already. I'll show you close up like strong seeking seems a bit more clearly because it does boil up very, very quickly. This sickness of wire that guy. So we've got to extra long head pence and see the board up ends Over here can see whether bit dirtier, so that needs to. They need to now go in the pickle to clean up Andi. Then I'll be able to use them to attach the re elects to the earrings. 10. Garnet Hoop Earrings - making the earwires: touch to 4.5 centimeter links of the North 0.8 millimeter wire with 20 gauge wire to make the wires on. The first things I'm going to need to do it turned a small loop, Which one end of each piece of why I'm going to use the round nose pliers to do that and hold the wire about search. Of course, of the way down the nose suppliers. Remember the further towards the handle you go, the bigger the loop. You're going to make Andi have my fingers some close to the pliers. So got most unsure of the wire. I forgot my finger and some back here, this piece of wife. What will about what? Over placing bends where I don't want bends to be. So it's going to bend the wire round, depending wound and chill. It is reaching itself again. Andi. Then going to do is put the chip suppliers back in the loop, holding on to this theme just inside a long tail just inside. Just pull back so that it then like so that's and I hope Andi. Instructions of how to make an eye loop are attached. The class materials they can see this step by step clear photos. I'm just saying to this one and about search, of course. The way down twisted way round so that the cutting the wire touches this long stomach in, puts the ship with applies back inside the loop. I just put it back on itself. So that's the start of the year wives. We're to looks at the bottom on those loops. The ones who were going to use to attach the chain to, uh, the actual so goes loop one end of each piece of why now and what I tried to do. Put that in the middle as well. That's one of the jump rings that I'm going to be using to attach the other end of the chain to the rectangular weir. So try to make the loops not too dissimilar, incised to that. Jump a ring just to keep everything balanced. Put that one away again before I lose it. The next thing I need to do is turn this on his wife back on itself to form a U shape. Andi, I'm going to use the stepped pliers to do that for me. I'm going to binge the wire around the middle section here, so I'm going to hold They're wire so that the loop is just sticking out. So don't want these to be very long. Ear wise. Holding applies still, but bending the wire around my finger and thumb. It's one Andi going. Hold it so that the group was just sticking out. But I just don't want shack before I finish forming the loop. What they are. The right height. Yeah, happy with that? The working back in the right place finish spending that wire around. Don't worry. By the way, if the loops get twisted around a little bit and they're not forming their not facing the right direction, they're only wire and you can use her flat nose applies just twists and background where they should be, so I'm going to use the flat. Those supplies, for now, is just and use the width of the pliers. The guide hoat applies at the end and want to eat it. Drink that way up. Just spending backwards. You can see the difference. They just put a little kink on the end of the wire. It's a little professional look and just spend what's that place. So So I'm doing just rending applies ever so slightly just left that bit of wire out. But at the moment, those pieces of wire at the end of quite sharp they're not going to feel very comfortable. We're going to your ISS, so just continues the needle nose. So the needle file Just smooth the road off the end. Use your fingers as much as your eyes to help you make certain a little nicer Smooth one to Okay, The last thing we still these is too. Make the middle bit stronger. I'm going to hammer the front section there. This with a flashing hammer Rusty. My work is usually the bench block on the other cushion. Just that tiny bit of hammering is enough to help the ear wise to hold their shape. So one data pair of Iwas I didn't make them too long because the earrings have got quite a bit of lengths to them already. Didn't want to add too much extra length. So now that everything's made, I need to put it all together 11. Garnet Hoop Earrings - adding the beads: way, taking the extra long head pins out of the pickle now so nice and clean and ready to use they just under 11.5 centimeters long. Now we started off with about 12 centimeters on that. They use a little bit of links to melt the bulls. On the end, they are still a fair bit longer than we're actually going to need. So I deliberately cut them off longer because it's easier to hold on and wrap around the wire if it's a little bit longer. And remember, nothing truly goes to waste. Whatever I trim off will be up to use to make sense of a shorter hedge ping or to ball up into a ball of wire to decorate another port. Yet so because threats the wire through the middle hole in one of the, uh, use or hoops we formed, you can see won't go all the way through. Let's stop place so on and going to the region. One of the brio. That's by the way, the reason why we using no 10.4 millimeter wire is that the whole in these Bria Let's is really small. If you're really that's a little bit bigger than months time using you might be able to get away with not 0.5 millimeter wire. But there was no way that these were going to go through the holes in front, which I had to do with. Go through the pile off Garnett realists I showed you in the material section and check to see which ones would allow the wife through on. Then from that solar pile. Work out my best match, my best pair. Now what going to do next is a wrap the wire around the top of the brio that on there's a step by step photo tutorial that never touch the class materials that will help you to do this. Help you get it clear a look. The only difference is that the tutorial starts with warming a loop at the end of the wire , and we don't need a loop because we've got to stop her here. The board at the end of the wire, holding everything in place. So I am going to do that is just bend while up. So just bench it around. So the wire he's now sitting up along side the talk of prayer that on and the reelect is hanging down. You know the hit on and going to do next. Trickiest thing is getting a grip on this. I'm going to start doing is wrapping this length of wire around the chocolate, the rare that's I'm going to to First of all, though, he's just wrap it around the top, just anger, everything in place they can. You got to see this a lot clearer on the step by step photos, but hopefully casinos. I wished in focus that I've taken the wire up the other side of real right up to the talk and just wrapped it around the chopped just underneath where this spread changing piece of water is. What I'm going to do now is continue wrapping the white around down. The read Is that how it's in places? But more doesn't wiggle about as much sense doing at the moment. Andi hides the holes that the why is, but it's rude to do. Forgive me if you can't see all of this, because this is all very small, and my fingers are, though, that they're not the biggest ring of the world are going to hide some of this, but that's what you gotta set by step pictures for. So it's gonna continue wrapping this round the most difficult thing. He's holding everything this still as you can whilst working it around. And actually, the reason why I'm doing this step next rather traction, the chains or the on the ear wire is that you don't want too much being in the way when I'm wrapping around to see now how that's started to rap down. They took the beat. What's holding You? Said What savory now, So moving around quite so much because I caught to the top of the bead inside this rap section, I'm going to continue to a little bit further. Don't really see there that I can still see whether be the why is coming through the whole of the talk of that. So I'm going to continue rocking that round that you see. I've still got a nice length of why they're to do that with That's enough Now, sort of going to do now as again you'll see in the step by step pictures is I'm going to take this bit of wire and take it back up to the top just like rich in place. So you work it around, think one more time in place and then take it up to what? Sorry, How to focus. Takes up to the top. Just rapids around. Took we need not a little bit, Not least like him. You touch trim off in a moment. So again, I heard the wind through. That's how in place read through. If I can find this teeny title hole like so it's holding the beach. If you need to use a pair of flat nose pliers to help you pull the wife through, it's very small. It is Ray Friedly. Too much to do. I'm actually going to have to do there. Went out a shot to get the wire cutters. It's just trim that little bit off. Has it got to? To me, Ben's initially it wasn't going through the beach smoothly. Stewart. Why there another reason for cutting off while we need that we go since I got those people , but it those little bends in the wind. That's all it Wasit was stopping it from going through the top of the real that, But that's all the way through now. So what breathe at just below the beach. This country burned the wire up. And who is what? Look the other side on and wrap it around. So it's It's security at the chop when you say it's still wobbling around a lot. So again, what I'm going to do now is continue wrapping it round the fitness, but is getting it. How tightly when you start the ripping you see there start to wrap it around the top of the beach, continue down. You might find it easier. What's Everything's a bit more secure. Twist the beach twist the whole thing round, like so, so interesting. Beat their own says that putting the wire around. But once everything secure and take the wind back up to the top. Wrapped around that. This bit of wise little bit shorter than the other. Works to trim a bit off. So I'm just gonna use the applies to help me grip into their Okay. Both reads held in place, so trim off he mostly access. Why one shame off the excess were being breaker for not to cut through any of the rap sections. There's too, really let's held in place underneath the hoops of why, so that I need to touch the chains on the air. Wives 12. Garnet Hoop Earrings - finishing the earrings: way different components of hearings, mate. Now it's time to put them together. I've actually shortened the length of chain by three or four links on each piece because, as they were originally, they were a little bit too long for the design, so shortening them just kept everything better in proportion. So what I need to do now is use the jump rings should touch one end of the chain toothy rectangular. Why hoop on the other end of the chain needs to be attached to the ear wise, like in his two pairs of black. Those pliers to open up the jump rings. Who these air? A small ones. They're difficult to get a grip with with fingers. So to pet supplies within the job nicely just move out of the way. The bits we don't need at the moment, says the destruction. I'm going to hold the Elias on the ear. So the jump ring so that jump ring join. It's a top there I have. But the pliers at 39 a hook and twist to open, going to threat on one end with section chain on and then through. I can hold everything, says I can see the home that's better through one hole at an end of the piece of it, changing the wire and then use the flat those supplies close it back up again and then do the same with the other end. By the way, I'm using two pairs off flat nose pliers rather than himself, like those supplies and around those plier. Because around those supplies will because they got a smaller surface area, they will be more likely to leave marks on the wire, so it's a chain attached. I need to open up the here while Luke the same time. So right on one piece of chain. But then we go to behave themselves the second piece chain and then just close that loop down. Making sure at that loop is tightly closed because they're only short bits chain. They could slip off open loop. Really not careful, says one hearing and the stones. 2nd 1 Now two other bits and pieces together. First, we'll find the joint in the jump ring within two. The chain one end of the hope jump cranking. You don't open up. You know why? Sometimes the most difficult thing is actually well to most difficult things with this finding the joining the jump rink and hooking on the end of the piece of chain, which, which I am binged, too. Just close that up again and twist it the other way because that way the back of the ear why won't be in the way? It's that definitely made it easier. There we go Now you may have noticed that I didn't actually polish any of the pieces of silver as a size working with them in before, put everything together on. The reason for that is time decided to give these hearings a darker patina and oxidize finish because I think that will really complement rich red of the gun. It's nicely, so I didn't actually need to polish anything. What I'm going to do now it's follow the instructions in the color your silver video. She's liver. So for to give on Istock Patina to the earrings and I'll show you them in their finished glory 13. Garnet Hoop Earrings - final thoughts: way finished hearings. Every five hearings to add to your collection. Andi, As you can see, I've given them that darker patina. So I was talking about. Just follow the instructions in the color your silver class. If you want to do the same, I really think patina has added a lot to the design. It's allowed for rich red of the garnets. To really shine is also highlighted. The texture that's around the outside of the hoops. It's quite a subtle texture because you don't see it from the front, but I think you are hidden. Details like that won't make design a really good one. This is quite an easy designed to adapt to suit your own tastes. You could, of course, change the beads at the bottom. That would be the easiest and quickest thing to do, but you can also change the links off chain on the thickness of a chain. You can use the jump rings to make your own chain if you don't have off cuts of changing use, and you can also use a different gauge of wire to form the hoops at the bottom. Do you remember? You don't have to form a proud erect triangular wire. If you've got an off cut off round wire, you can easily have a that to flatten it out. Or indeed, send it through the rolling will to fall apiece for training Watch. He used your design instead, and you can, of course, use different Hammond's to texture the outside the buyer or use and text your punches or even leave the wire smooth. I hope you enjoy the class would be great if we could leave review to help students on. I look forward to seeing what you make. Thank you for watching.
