About This Class

In this GIMP for beginners class I will teach you how to create stunning, professional looking book covers using only three simple components: a background image, text and colored boxes.  Following my simple technique you'll have a book cover in no time that will attract readers to buying your book.

The GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) is a free software program that runs on the Windows, Mac OS and Linux operating systems.  For the cost of a few dollars for a background image, we'll be using the GIMP to create inexpensive and easy professional quality book covers.

This class addresses the following topics:

  • Book Cover Size and Resolution
  • Create a White Book Cover
  • Acquiring a Background Image
  • Sizing Your Background
  • Add Text
  • Add Colored Boxes
  • Make Your Text Pop

If you need a professional looking book cover and you need it cheap then this class on the GIMP is the one for you.

I'll see you in the classroom,
