Project Description

Free Write Exercise

Aquire a notebook or use a fresh page in a notebook you already have. While the ocean footage plays in the Field Trip section of this class, try to fill the entire page with your thoughts, feelings, observations, any random ideas that come to mind. Keep your pen moving, forming letters, on the page for the entire time.

If you feel like you have nothing to write, put that down on the page, "I have nothing to write. My mind has gone completely blank. It's hard to write without stopping..." etc. This exercise is not about intentionally writing something profound. It is simply to practice a technique for opening the creative channel, clearing out any clogs in the process.

When you're done, take a picture of that filled-up page in your notebook and post it in the project section below. You may also type what you came up with during your Free Write exercise and post that.
