About This Class

In this class, we take a look at some the basic tools and panels we will need to get going in Photoshop. This is nowhere near a comprehensive look at the interface. The purpose of this class is to introduce the student some tools without leaving them feeling overwhelmed.

Shawn Schmidt

Designer, Illustrator, Photographer

   Shawn Schmidt is a designer, illustrator, and photographer living in Vancouver, Washington.  With relentless perseverance, he approaches every design problem with  the attitude that there is a solution.  As an honors student at Clark College he demonstrated a strong desire for excellence graduating with highest honors. Shawn strives to remain a student of craft, skill, and understanding. His skill set includes the latest cutting edge design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud but he often prefers to begin with pen and paper.
   Shawn’s hobbies and inspirations include; playing guitar, studying music theory for composition, and sound recording, outdoors, and hiking. Shawn practices fine art skills in an endless pursuit of self-understanding and realization. He loves animals of all types and finds his greatest fulfillment in being of service to others. Shawn has been a member of AIGA since 2015.
