Project Description

Create a 30 second edited video and post the private YouTube or Vimeo link here.

1. shoot some footage that is thematically linked, for example, "our vacation" or an interview with a person

2. shoot some b-roll- material you can cut away to in your film to create visual interest and variety

3. edit the clips in your video editor of choice.  Free/ low cost options are iMovie or Windows Movie Maker.

4. Make sure your sounds are clear and drop in any needed sound effects to your timeline

5. Cut the video down to the essential 30 seconds and export as an encoded file for posting on YouTube or Vimeo.  H.264 is the recommended codec.

6. Upload video to Vimeo or YouTube as an unlisted video and share the link with us on the Skillshare project page!  Give us some details of what you thought of the process.
