Project Description

Create your own Skill Brainstorm - one of the first steps to successful freelancing!

There are many action items that I want you taking in this course to lead you to a successful freelancing career. So please take action when I give you challenges.

You have to start somewhere. And one of the first things that you'll learn in the class is how to figure out which of your skills are the most marketable. What I want you to do for the class project is create a SKILL BRAINSTORM. Below, you'll see my own as an example:

e4c7908f

Notice how I put some skills larger than others? This was my way of thinking about which skills I'm better at. The larger the skill, the more experience I have with it.

It's time for you to do your own brainstorm.

You can download the brainstorm Photoshop file in the attachments below to get started. If you don't have Photoshop (or know how to use it), just complete your project with plain text or write it on a piece of paper. Just make sure to take a screenshot or photo so that you can share it on the course projects page.

Once you upload, we can share our thoughts about which skills we think are most marketable, and which ones you should focus on for launching your freelance career.

Got it? Here's what you got to do:

  1. Write down your own list of skills - all of them - everything you can think of
  2. Take a picture of your brainstorm or use the supplemental Photoshop file to create your own
  3. Upload it to the course to share with the rest of the students

Cheers,

Phil
