1. Introduction: do you both. My name is Raphael. I'm from Brazil, from city called Rio de Janeiro. And right now I'm leaving Canada. And today I'm going to be teaching my first class and skew ship. It's going to be about how to prepare an authentic Brazilian barbecue. Since summer's here. I think that's a very good time to start learning how to do that. And as you may know, Brazil is a very famous for their barbecue. So I hope backing. That's a little bit of my knowledge to you guys. And you can have a good time eating with our friends and family. Okay, so I divided a cousin, five steps and the 1st 1 I'm going to be teaching today, which is all about the beef. How toe by it. How cut it how to season the meat and how to cook it in the barbecue. Okay, also, all the other four steps are about side dishes. That goes very well with the beef. Your goal will be to prepare the beef in the Brazilian way and share he in the project section how he wants for you. So at the end of this first step, I'm going to give you a short introduction about the second step. They fought off and I hope you guys have it with time. Enjoy it and let's start. I'm already Oh! 2. How to Buy The Meat: Hey, guys, let's start talking about how to buy the meat. The ideal cut to use is wrong called Pick Kinda. It looks like this. It's a Brazilian cut, and it can try to find that a Latin American butcher has a triangular shape, and a good one waits about Want 1.5 killer and a little bit bigger than the size of your open hand. But don't worry. If you can't find that in this video, really use something that came easily found that your grocery store the top sirloin cap, which is the same part of the cow but cut in a different way. There's basically four things that you should look for when buying it first is the date tried by one that was packaged the same day or the day before. Second is the color look for a trade in which the beef is very red, vivid 3rd 1 is the cap off fat. It is important to buy a piece that has a cap of fat, even if you don't want to eat it, because its flavor to the meat and makes it very juicy. And the last one is the marbling Ah, high quality piece of meat is marbled like this one that I chose for this video. This helps ensure that it meets is full of flavor. So try to balance between these four points and you will be able to bring home a very good piece of beef for your first Brazilian barbecue. 3. Seasoning: Now let's talk about how to season the meat and be prepared. It's a very complicated thing to do. Just kidding is actually very, very simple. Believe it or not, all you need is cars. Salt is that simple? Just grab a handful and rub it all over your top sirloin. You can put a bit more if you have a very thick piece, but as long as you have poured some around the whole steak, you'll be good to go. And remember, it is very important. Tip season is done right before you put the paint on the grill. You don't have to let it sit or anything like that. Trust me. His dad Simple. All my Canadian friends were a bit skeptical when they saw me doing it, but Ed and they said it wasn't one of the best steaks they ever had. And it gets even better when mixed with the fat off, which is the side dish that I will be teaching in my next class. So now that you're done seasoning it, let's cook it because I'm already getting hungry 4. Cooking: Now let's start cooking the beef. And as you can imagine, he is also very, very simple. All you need is the beef the grill, and I suggest, in the beginning, having a meat thermometer so you can find out easily if the meat is cooked the way you like it. But don't worry. After started doing that for a while, you will be able to know if the beef is rare, medium or out them just by looking at it. Now that you have everything you need, let's close the grill and bring the temperature to about 400 Fahrenheit, which will be 200. Sell shoes and let it cook for about seven minutes. After that, we will open it and flip them it and leave it for seven more minutes. Remember, the time came very depending on how you like to be. Seven minutes will give you a medium rare style, but if you want something different and that use your term monitor and you'll be able to cook it the way you prefer now that the beef is done, let's go to the next step and cut it because I want to get it 5. Cutting: That's it. The time we have been waiting for finally arrived. Hey, looks very tasty, right, guys, let's start. So before you cut the beef, removed excess of salt and let it sit for about two or three minutes, this will make it even more soft and juicy. After that, you can start cutting it now. This is very important. When cutting the beef, you can't cut it. Following the same line is the fiber. You have to go against it as you can see the video. So if the fiber goes like this, I have to cut it this way to you. Can't cut it following the same line as a fiber like this. Don't do that. The reason why is because by doing that, deny if you do the hard work off cutting the fiber and when you bite it and we only need to separate it with your teeth, and that is what we give the meat, the softness there if you when eating it. But don't worry which takes like this one, you won't really have any problems just cleared away did in the video, and you'll be fine. This rule is more important for bigger pieces of meat, but it's always good to keep in mind. Now let's it it As you can see, I'm et them eat. Mix it with the fat off. It acts as an extra season and gives more flavor to your beef is delicious. This is the best combination. Tweet Brazilian barbecue and I will be teaching you how to prepare it in my next video. Okay, Thank you for joining me in this class. And as a project, I would like to see you prepare your own beef in a Brazilian way and sharing here with the community. See you soon basis. 6. Conclusion: Okay, guys. So that's standard for first class about how to prepare the Brazilian barbecue. And I hope he that you guys had enjoyed and just reminding you How was it? First we went to the grocery store. We bought the meat. We choose by the date the caller, the kept off fat and also the marbling of the meat. So make sure they got everything correctly. And Dan, we brought it home. We went for seasoning. Just with the cars. Salt. Right. About. I want all the meat putting the barbecue. Next we start cooking it. Don't forget you put seven minutes on your inside seven minutes on the other side. If you want a medium rare type off meat, if you want a little bit more, it can just use the thermometer. And then you can leave a little bit more time. They can make maybe have a well done kind of thing. Or if one last time, we just remove it earlier. And you're gonna have that very rare juicy steak. Okay, remember to cut him it. You have to. You can't follow the fiber. You have to go in the opposite direction. As I explained to you in the video and right. And remember that. And I surely do the cassava flour they fought off. And that's a good thing that's gonna be in my next video here on skill share. Right? I'm gonna teach you how to prepare it. He had to the own use the colleague everything that you put on it, including bacon, and that adds a lot of flavor to the meat because you mix it all together and he acts like as a seasoning for their meat. Makes it very tasty. Once one of the neighbors tried and he said it wasn't the best meat that he added it had. So I hope you guys enjoyed my first class. I was a little bit nervous, I have to say, but I think he went well. And in a day like this, uh, you can barbecue it. Your friends enjoy the sun. It's such a beautiful day by the Lake Ana. I think it be good. So enjoy it and see you in my next class on my name is Raphael. And nice meeting you guys right by. Thank you
