Abby Goodman

Fiber Artist

Hey! My name is Abby. I'm a maker, a knitter, a spinner, and I am always working on as many projects as possible!

I fell in love with fiber arts when I moved to Chapel Hill, NC with my husband in 2013. As I learned more and more about the fiber industry, about America's textile history and how this beautiful craft can have such an impact on our earth, I fell deeper in love and started spinning my own yarn. I'll forever be grateful to the family at the Carolina Fiber Festival that sat with me for 20 minutes as I dropped my spindle over and over in the dirt trying to make wool into yarn. I've learned so much since then, and you can find my handspun yarns in my shop, Goodstitch Fibers. I'm passionate about making yarns and fibers that inspire makers and support ethical fibers and farms in the US and across the world.
