Welcome fellow creatives

In this class you will learn how create a painting that will look like metal enameled painting from start to finish.

I have learnt the traditional method of enameling on metal and adore the process but sometimes one needs to create an artwork the quick and easy way.

Traditionally metal enameling requires a metal plate (copper/gold/silver) and uses various kinds of enamels to create an art. As per WIKI Vitreous enamel, also called porcelain enamel, is a material made by fusing powdered glass to a substrate by firing, usually between 750 and 850 °C (1,380 and 1,560 °F). The powder melts, flows, and then hardens to a smooth, durable vitreous coating on metal, or on glass or ceramics. So in technical terms fired enamelware is an integrated layered composite of glass and metal. Enamelling is an old and widely adopted technology, for most of its history mainly used in jewelry and decorative art.

In this class I will mimic the Cloisonne technique. As per WIKI Cloisonné, French for "cell", where thin wires are applied to form raised barriers, which contain different areas of (subsequently applied) enamel. Widely practiced in Europe, the Middle East and East Asia.

Do check the list of materials attached for this class from the project section. And feel free to write to me if you have any questions.

Here is the link to the pinterest board for you to choose a design you would like.

Teaching Decorative Art & Craft

Namaste from Mystical India

I am a self taught mixed media artist living in Mumbai. After being a significant cog in the wheel of an Outdoor Media Industry for over two decades, I am now living my dream life as an Artist expressing myself through my paintings.

I started off as a hobbyist and learning various art and craft forms used to help me unwind from time to time. I have taught in person classes and have also assisted during teachers training courses in Mumbai.

I love learning new skills and sharing my knowledge as I know. I also have a few DIY tips and tricks and tutorials on my blog under the DIY/Tutorial sections that are completely free.

Do sign up for my newsletter so that I can occasionally send you updates and offers.

Looking forward to our adventure together.
