Why Should You Take This Course?

If my 1st course: "FL Studio 12: Blazing Beat Making Beginner Basics" really helped you, then expect part 2 to do more.

This course: FL Studio 12: Blazing Beat Making Beginner Basics 2 is a follow up from my first course mentioned above. It’s 2x better than the first, meaning it’s packed with more knowledge, more beat making activities, an advanced sound pack, and producing secrets. This course is inspired by the students who left positive reviews and suggestions on about the first course. Thank You!

Students who enrolled in this course learned 3 major tempos professionals use when producing and the different genres that best fit those tempos. I also added a little Boom Bap and Electronic music production to spice up the course or get some students familiarize with a new style of producing, whichever comes first.

Each student has full access to ask me ANY question and personal help during and after taking this course.

The ONLY materials needed is up to you.

Most of the lectures are 3-7 minutes and packed with a lot of info, so you won't die of boredom.

The course is designed for students to learn over my shoulders with real life examples so, I recorded my screen throughout the lectures to make the learning process extremely simple to follow and learn from.

1. Blazing 2 Overview: Yeah. Oh, was I don't know what time it is. Never thought I'd be releasing a blazing tool to be honest, but y'all made it possible because the ratings and reviews are received on blazing one convinced me that something was missing. Is your recommended more up-close and personal hands-on beat making examples is especially for those who still have a bridge that gap between them in a finished BY by now, I don't know what to expect from me. There's 22 lectures each, at least three to seven minutes for you guys to fly through. If it's not short, easy to understand and follow along with. Please get a refund. It's only right. By the way, I added one of my professional beans in the background each lecture to fill in any born silence. All right, in the first section, I'll start off by showing you guys a unique trick most producers don't know about. Just watch and enjoy. If you are experienced enough, you're automatically find it useful. If you're not experienced, then it'll be something you can later reference. The second section named Untitled one is low temple beat make unrelated. I'm talking beets made with BPM levels from as low as 80 toward 40. I'm one of those detailed instructive, so I won't spoil the details there. Model two is medium temple be making remainder, similar to Untitled one, but making beats with BPM from 145255. Mozart or three, I think, are going to point somewhere between Untitled 13. Mainly if you were realized which BPM level and b style you're most comfortable with. And this goes without saying. But my goal is to help you guys find your house bought as a producer. Also want you to get a feel of your motives behind each be human. So through my workflow in thought process of vj b, I make, you'll start developing that same skill in your own unique. And I know some producers prefer to be versatile in some don't. But if you plan on separating yourself to be recognized as a unique producer on the show, you guys, a little bit of my producer versatility with this electronic B will be make it together in Untitled for now. Once out of five. I'm glad I was asked a few times to cover Roomba. Because listen, you're not a real producer. If you don't learn about the first rhythm dare started at all, or just have fun with it, cuz you guys are in for a real treat. Pace. 2. Tempo Jewels : Yo, what's up with sub yard? I got some jaws to drop you guys in this clip. Now, if you didn't notice, this video doesn't appear in the intro. It's all last minute, but I think it's worth knowing you be the judge are so basically you can have a fast or medium beat at a slow tempo. Vice versa. You can have, ah, slow beat at a fast or medium tempo. The only way this is possible is to have a beat at a temple that's divisible by two. Say we have a beat at 1 80 bpm, which would be fast. Cut that in half and you gotta slow beat. And from their sample to be stretch it. And there was like nothing changed something. You guys probably like your speak English, man. So how about I just show you? No. - All right, now let me sample beat here. All right? Way. I mean, okay, got you. But this is getting dragged to planus. All right? No drag is down at 90. It acts to re stretch channels say yes. No, it's playing here at 90. The same way it was playing here at 1 80 Now there's one more thing that I need you guys to take notice to when you're sampling, Don't let the tempo be your guide to stretch into sample. I'm saying now, to avoid this, you click the sample change your mode toe Autumn. This simply stopped the pitch of the sample from changing. Now on auto, it'll remain the same as the original sound as the original. Now, if you tweet the times treasure to a bar, it'll sound the same at 90. As if it were this at 1 80 Now, um, if we go here and tweak the sample right, you don't have no effect on the sample. All right, thanks. That out. That example should make sense of what I was talking about earlier. Now nobody does this. But then again, very few producers rarely know how in the arm. By the way, your blazing Tupac download is below this clip. So created 40 for it and send it up with NFL for the next sections. I know what time it is. Peace 3. Low (slow) Tempo Intro: Yo, what's up? What's up, You guys Just time to create those three moves that I was talking about, starting with a seductive ending with a dark moon. Now I need you to keep in mind that the tempo it sets the mood, the tone and the way the melodies have played. Now let's get it First we gonna set this temple 1 18 That is good right there. Now what comes with what I'm making a seductive be I'm trying to set the mood, you know, trying to start something I'm tryingto basically, you could say some foreplay in the little sense and that right there is gonna be the motive in the melody. It's just sounds something like you trying to call, you know, trying to get close to that person. You're trying to get something interesting going, but I wanted to get this melody in right here. You, you, You You know you you you you like this right here. Thats right here. It gives you gives off a nervous feeling, you know, saying it's either it's either her or you that's nervous. She's probably like, don't look at me like glad, But now if you go into the next melody. Some truth. This right is one of my favorites on, you know, you you you I think it's crazy radio with this melody right here. The mood of this one is basically like a competence building with this 1st 1 You're nervous . Well, she's kind of nervous by saying, Why are you looking at me like that? And you, right here. This was kind of gaining over the 1st 1 Oh, uh, way you see, I This sounds right thing right here is basically saying that she's comfortable, you know? She's laughing at all. So she's punching your eyes. Also, it's a reciprocation type of. She's returning that Bob, you were given her that. You know, it's reciprocation between these two melodies. Like I said, this melody is you getting your confidence of your confidence. And with this melody, she's confident now she's comfortable. You next ability, Any one of these up oh, is to love me shortened These highlighted George too. Shortages by well bit should be good. The disability right here. The purpose that is ability fill in any slyness between you or to be It's almost is basically supporting the first sound, not a me player. Take these two out. See how it you don't say is like a support system coiling. Really Well, including confident Booth now the seductive, melodious finished. One thing you gotta do click foul and save your work. We're gonna say this right here is, uh, slow, seductive or should I say seductive? Slow? Yeah. Seductive slows more like, you know? All right. No, we've been a head over. It's a chill mode. What we're going to do here is put the template on 2125. And here's one thing if you don't know that 1 30 is my go to be PM, it's because I make a lot of trap beats. But this right here is not attract beat. So we're staying at 1 25 No, my motive. Would it still be? It's so always expressed the vibe that I'm in. And right now we're making a chill B. So we're expressing our Children and that right there to me, it's just sound like we don't want to do anything at all. Better yet, not even worry about much. You just you just there. You know nothing's happening and you're feeling good to you, Feeling good about yourself and that's what we're gonna do here. Now let me get this melody in and show you guys Thank you. You see something cool and you're like, Oh, that's where this man that he comes in, you know, pretty chill, Melody. Now we're gonna do again Since we're done with the chill slow temple melody, we're gonna go to file save as chill slow. Not that that saved. We've been a go to the dark side. My favorite. Actually, no. Whenever I'm making a dark beat, I'm trying to be ruthless, You know, I don't care about anything at all. And that right there is it sound like you're disagreeing with authority? You know, you're a bilious at this point. Now let's get started. Let's get these melodies going. And one thing also forgot to tell you guys with the tempo, this is not a trap beat. So we're not gonna put it at 1 30 We're gonna turn it down to 1 25 Yeah , way switch D zone. See how it sounds? Thats right here. Like this sounds right. This right here is Sounds like you're trying to start trouble. You know? It's like Okay, well, some If anybody wants to fight me, go ahead and try, You know, provoking somebody to just try to come at you in this e trying to start a fight. Now let's go to the next melody. Years senseless way Sounds good. So far extended. I think this one down. I think this radio melody, this is is that it's about to go you. You're something like that is you know, something like you are Odell Beckham fighting the kickers net. You know this is this basically right? Started thes coyly. Very well. That's what I like about this door, You know, Now we are finished with this dark slow temple melody One thing again, Goto while save as you've got to save your work. Guys, you got to say your work. But no, I say this as dark, slow and from here we're about to get these drums to finish it off. Peace, Yeah. 4. Low Melody 3x: Yo, what's up? But no, I say this as dark, slow and from here we're about to get these drums to finish it off. Peace, Yeah. 5. Low Drums : Yo, what's up was up your right here in this clip, we're going to finish off these drugs that we problems start melodies. And since we're starting off with this seductive then our jump temples got to stay the same When I let's bring the seductive melodies got open, seductive, slow I gotta just the wood is like never gotta put these drums in. Okay, now, real quick I won't be narrowing the drums the same way I did the melodies simply because the drums are just follow ups and supporters. But don't get me wrong. I'm not saying the drums are irrelevant. Truth is the only two impactful. Just that that I'll guess up are the sub base in the 80 wait. Which could be considered as a melody regardless if I use it as a drummer Now, now let's get started, Cavor, Stop using high. Is it closed? No. First let me I feel each two steps with Jesus. See how day So first let me stress this So this doesn't look like confusing. Press A to turn that long clip into a little bullets. Yeah, I don't mean to say that, but to chop these Oh, way to turn off the melodies so I could focus on these germs. No. Let me get the club faithful sneer to these download. All right, All right. Now let me get this sub base. I mean, cut it so it doesnt overlap. Todo bring that down. Not to actually this. See how that settles. Now, this right here is one of the Shakers. Okay, Now we're getting somewhere pain. Hyatte's right click that is feeling each eight steps. See what that sounds like. Make sure it blends in with beat. You want overpowered everything too much because remember, it's just a supporter. Now, one less thing going here, Temple. - Now let's see how it sounds all together. - You know, this right here is the seductive slow temple beat. Now there's convert to the dark side. Remember, Gladding, save your work Now we're gonna go to the dark, slow way Got a just of our dark amenity. So we're going to next, Lay down these drums. Like I said, he's right here. Follow ups to the amenities. Now bolt a take their long one short minutes a little once. So clap saying Hey, no, Let's get this people's They're here sub base. The shaker, Remember? Toe cut itself. Put that lower. So with it. No, Let's get them kick. Put that in there. All right, all right. We're getting somewhere. We're getting somewhere Open hats in. It's overlapping. The eight away in the dead And the melodies melodies I meant to say but we gotta make sure it blends in with the B Because, remember, it's a supporter right there. No, this ad, the little Congo's the tablets. This one does. Well, we gotta turn it down. Make sure blends in. All right. No, that's put this in a No. Let's put the melodies up and see what that sounds like. We just came through the dark side know about to go into chill mode. Don't forget to save your work. Your keeping making mode. Well, oh, pages show a bow. Oh, been all right. All right. No, no, no. As for the chill will be using six out of the nine drums from the dark, beat stupid and keep high hats. Oh, mute amenities sake. Only pay attention to the floor. The drums, I thought, you know, look. Splitting faithful snare Coming, Betty. Okay. All right. Let's get a kick in order to get a little balance going. Put these in there too. But this right here, eight away. The dumper cut itself right there. No. Just turned these amenities back on and see where we had it. All right? Yeah. Now that's it. The only thing left its structure in the beat. We know where to go from there. Peace, your 6. Low Beat Structuring: you know was sucked was suck. Man pursues infrastructure only wanted a beat from this low temple section, and I leave the other two for you guys to practice. Now don't panic. Now you'll be a pro at structure about end of this course, man. Trust me, that is good and split these terms well. First upload one of the Beatles, but my folio are in our own. Also a few tips before structured into playlists. Think of how a song is if you have trouble starting it to decide which tell you want to start with then decided for hook or verse will complement that. Be better now the majority of the times. I'll start with a hook, but we'll be doing opposite here for me. Oh yeah, and note this. You can start with a hook and you can end with whichever There's no limits, to be honest. And if you care to know all mainstream in local hits the end with the hood. All right, now found the following on Can you hear me? Start up? First thing you do click No right click the Paterson like there go all the way down. Put split by channel split and free. Now you got each one in the own patterns. All right, All right. No, We start laying this down from Seattle Sales. Yeah. Keep this. Yeah. You, you, you, you, you, you, You know No, you, you you Yeah, yeah, yeah, You, you, - you Yeah, Yeah, you You okay? Basically here. I just started this beat with a hook. I mean, no overtime. Sorry. Verse. Now, in order for not for me toe prevent the confusion Let me control T This brings the time worker right here. Right. Click it and you get to rename it for the naming 1st 1 Because that's basically me starting to be with verse Now the versus Done right. Click that space again at marker No, infinite to the first hook. No. See how this goes. Do you miss me? Keep it going. You, You, You You You Yeah, you short All right. Now let me highlight And I like this whole first verse right here, Control. See to copy. All right, all right. No, After the first hook, control V to paste it drawn to click right here because the hook is done. Marker first to the home. I know I mentioned this in the first course, but it won't hurt to mention it again. Your second verse should be a little creative. Yup, that's optional. But not if you're planning on being first in town. Now, the only time I keep the versus aim is to get the beat over with. But that way I could focus on other things, like the mixing in the mastery. Eventually, I always come back to fix it. Now, let me do that in a minute. I'm sorry. Let me show you guys. Hardly. Oh, you Maybe I should put The snare is here. Take him off here. See, I sense you. You took the heads off here. Okay? Let me fix this part right here. The last Check it right here. Right click hook. Okay. Now this less forwards. Okay, with this starting these two, okay? Yeah. I will put this part as the ending. Call it end. This will make of it. Yeah, Yeah. No. You okay? All right. So now we're done. Ali bin to you guys to cut it between the hooks and verses. A man don't forget. Save your work. Save your work. I pcr 7. Medium (normal) Intro: yo once Good, Yeah, you made it to the medium temple section, and it only gets better from here. And you know this man. All right, So the genres that best fit the median temple for hip hop on be in trap. I mentioned R and B with low tempo because there's a real difference with medium tempo. RB Difference isn't moved. It's not easy thing to explain, but a good thing to know. Right medium Temple has two fillings, so it hype. Yup, I mentioned there was a low temperature as well, but don't even sweat. Medium tempo show in low temperatures are the same type of chills, just different temples. Which brings me to the BPM levels about from 1 45 to 1 55 is where it's at. I mean that literally music in this tempo is most likely to become a hit. I just listen to these two examples Drink got to for Kodak. Black hype. Speaking to the example, will be creating tool melodies this time around. So I must see you guys in the next clip peaks 8. Medium Melody 2x: Yo, what's up with sub? You guys, It's time to create those two moves, but in medium tempo Now we're going to start off with hype and later chill out. Get it tonight. I don't get it, but okay. We about to make a high tempo beat so less going to switch the tempo to light 1 52 Yeah, let's get right there. Now home. The motive of this beat right here is basically to get you toe Feel good. You know, You trying to feel good about yourself. Okay, Let's say let's say you just got your check. You just got your paycheck. You're feeling good, you know? Like it should really sound like you're trying to dance. You know, you just got paid. You found a good So you're doing your money dance, you know? So let me lay this Citrus melody down real quick. Oh, that one here turns down crew. - So , basically like the point of this melody right here is basically like, is to get you to bump your head. You know, you feeling you know, saying, getting a getting a little, but going get a rhythm going? Yeah. So that is going to the second melody, right? Good. True. Here, see what we got here. So with this many right here is basically it's a certain it's like you get a certain feeling, you know, this gives you I'm certain I'm sure about this type of feeling, you know, basically a way for me to explain. It is with this melody You got you a little bob. You got you a little rhythm. This one basically secures that rhythm. So it's sure it's certain about the first melody. So they both going and courtly. Now let me add 1/3 melody. It's hard. This one third melody right here is basically kind of like is like the execution part is this melody right here puts everything all together. This is this basically seals the deal when it comes to these three Balance. So, you know, it's like Inches completes the whole hype mood thes melodies, you know, like, right now. But my head, you know, I've got my check. I'm good. I'm doing my money dance right now. Now this hype media melody is complete. Goats it up. Wow. Click save as save it as height medium cause we're about to convert to the chill mode. All right, now again, we're gonna set the tempos toe 1 52 because this is medium temple range. No. When it comes to making a chill beat, you're only really expressing your Children vibes. So, like when you're chillin, you're not worried about anything. You want to speak of anything, you know, you'd rather express it in a different way in this beat right here is made to do that, to express your chair vibes and that right there it should sound like your which your boys , you just call in your ear. You're you're vibing. You know, every time you link up its legendary, it's always positive and good bites. So let's start off with this first, milady. Let me turn this down. So yeah. So this melody right here, this basically gives me the feeling you know what you're like. It's nothing really to wait. You know, you're like, you're basically it's kind of like you're basically laying on your bed, you know? You just staring at the ceiling, you just laying on your bed, and nothing's happening. You're not thinking about anything. This is if you're just there. You know, I'm saying now, Let me put this second melody in going to the step sequence. Serie C Hottest goes. Oh, Okay. So this melody right here is on. What you get out of this is that you're lying on your bed. You're not thinking about anything. The second melody, random parts just start coming. But you're still a chilling though, you know, it's just random things. You know, this and that about such and such. And so and so you know, this is it's random, but it sounds chill. You still good? You still get a chill vibe. First, you weren't thinking about anything, but now you just have those thoughts. But it's all cool, you know? You just hanging out with your homeys cruising, You know, you feel good. This is that right? There. Sounds complete to me. I'm really bopping my head right now to this, you know? No. All right. We are done with these melodies. No, we got to do. Is that the drums? But before you guys slide to the next clip, remember this every beat you make has have a purpose or motive, and no one is out here making random, meaningless beats. Well, I can't really speak for anybody, but if they are, they're most likely trash. Anyways, my point exactly is to ask yourself these two questions right here. What is the motive behind this? Be in. Was it? It's not like do that right there. And you got yourself a hitman. Peace. 9. Medium Drums: Yo, what's up with sup? Er, we got some drums to add, so let's go. First way open your f l p two medium away. All right, so now let's get these. Hi thumpers . Dallas cut itself so it isn't over there, that is. Put that down. Oh, not an active putting up a note control shift up or down. Oh, all right, Now let's get these clips in. And one of the last little supporter sounds is that high abs? I mean, the open hats. My fault I got mixed up with thats right here is that was altogether. I don't know. One thing I got to say is this may not be a high quality B, but the intentions of these lectures are not to make a high quality beat, but make a start up beat that really elevates your current knowledge or ability to produce a beat. You know, let me tell you something. If we took the eight awake out of those beats, the beat would be considered trash But I will tell you that a top tier sample will actually follow up and make up for a beat that only consists of follow ups and supporters. And on that, no, let's head over to the next. Be into moving head over to the next election of structure These beats. No, don't forget. Save your work. I know about the head over to the hype is for I meet you High medium temples. Not Let's get going. Getting is getting okay. So bursting. Hi, Heads. With height, Medium and the chill medium. Temple B. We've been a structure. These beats you already know. It's how it is peace. 10. Medium Beat Structuring: ill was good. Let me take a minute to thank you for making it this far right here. Only thing I ask in return is an honest review from you on the temple. Lectures like what skills you picked up your favorite part or suggestions on skills that you'd like to learn that that alone helps you guys. It's not more Then, just as much as it helps me create content that you and I both know someone else won't take the time to willingly share. And I speak from experience, but you guys look better than I do. But in the same sense you're filming. All right now let's do this. The only obvious here is that Fast Temple is more hype. There's no other way around. So we're talking about 1 60 I have to say, like, 1 19 Yeah, anything higher is well, the guy will go past 1 95 So go figure, hip hop pop and trapped. Those owners fit fast import bits. See what I mean? Like traps everywhere, bro. Songs like Playboy, Cardy, Magnolia or Takashi 69 Go move! That says it all. And with that being said, I can't you with the next clip. Peace, Young 12. High Melody: Yo, yo, no way out here. Let's not waste another minute and let's get to it. We're making a height beat. So let's set this tempo up to, But when you say it like 1 95 Yeah, 1 95 Now we're making the height be, uh, there's only one motive here. It's to turn the f up and that right there, it should sound like you're untouchable. You should feel you should feel serious, but not in the exact meaning, though, but in the sense that you have power. Now, let's get this ability in real quick. Pretty sucks. Let's get that dream now. You already know Turned it down a little bit way. Theo Thistle right here. This hour alerts you. You know, it's like it's kind of like a school bill is like the teachers saying, No, the bill doesn't dismiss you. I do. And you like eso, huh? Oh, Uh huh. Your daddy, sir, But yeah, You know, you feel more. You feel like you're in authority. No, but let's get to this next. Milady, I felt keys. Lis, put a little twist to his animal. Go. Okay, Way. Ok, ok, we're getting somewhere. Not I mean, could this electoral highlight it control? See, to copy control V to paste and no less put it on decided. Thing is crazy Thistle right here is like a energy boost, like there's no fatigue. It's like vaginal when Bowman got hit by all right. Now, the only being left is to slap some germs under these melodies. And here the outcome. Peace, you guys. 13. High Drums: You know what is good? You're about to slap some drums under these melodies. Requip. And if we were to see the results, let's get it. No good file. Oh, been fast melodies. Not us. Get it? Our notice. Mute these melodies and get to the drumming. There. Remember this, right? Here's another. Say, Chris. - All right, let me put that down. Also adds a little bounce to it. No, Put these high heads in there. Right click to steps, see how it goes. All right, Another at the ate away. The thing that pumps the most cool right click cut itself so they don't overlap. Turned on sub A so it doesn't interfere with the fadeaway one. Control down Gets a little meaner. Not okay. Other supporters this extra for it. Don't knock heavy. Let me put that clap in there. This put a little sound effect in there. Let's get this one. See what? This one? One thing about certain sounds when they leg in the front every time you Liam out, you just chairman and pulling back so they could stay on B. That's another advance to that should see in my future courses. But that's not the case right now. Let me just fix it and make this hype beat. Let's see how it all sounds together. Let's put that melodies back. No, wait here. We finally done. Donna was next piece. 14. High Beat Structuring: Yeah, it was good, jaw. This is it for this section. But I know it gets even better ahead, so don't tire out yet. All right, now let's go. I already know, Right? Click split by John. Don't forget. I mean, make sure he's all their own. No, - Theo . Theo. That all right here? How is that young? We don't need any hook or versus for this one right here. The type of layout is more of a freestyle type of structure. Simply because the more of this be you can completely switch up people. If sorry, if you prefer adding hooks or versus you know what time it is peace. 15. Electronic Intro: Yo, what's up with sub? Your this section right here is all about being versatile. For all my diehard hip hop producers. I need you guys to hang on cause we're stepping out of our comfort zone. It was a little intimidating for me, too, but the best thing you could do is to not panic. Not, but seriously, this is my first attempt at creating an electronic beat, and it might be my last, but it all depends on you guys. Okay, So fun. Fact. FL Studio is a door focused to make Elektronik music. Yep. FL Studio was created for that sole purpose. Electronics is the most streamed, most purchased in performed genre in the music world. Still, you know, I, Loki view Elektronik is pop because they both have the same beat flow there. Almost like the same style you can almost you can also sorry about that. You can also mix trap or hip hop with it. Since it's its own genre. X x x 10 Tasha on. Look at me is a perfect example of that. All right, so I've said everything I know about the genre and I'm open to learn more from you. guys that are coming over from the Elektronik side, he decided. Drop me review after this course throwing a tip about electronic if you got one. Other than that, let's see what we could do. What this is like trying to be peace. 16. Electronic Melody: Yo, what's up with sup? Er moment of truth right here. I got to see I'm listening to a few e g m tracks before I decided to go through with this, and I noticed that the beats had an overwhelming amount of sounds. Both the melodies and the drum side. As far as I'm concerned, a lot of sounds air needed to create any GM anyways, so we won't replicate what I heard. But we'll aim for something similar. And I hope that this comes out as a potential or at these gives some you a feel for the genre. All right, now let's give what we got. First, let me get we get this real quick. We place nexus. Okay, so let's see what we got here. Mm. Speak this when we're here. 1 20 Yeah. - No Stratus. Mm. Look for this. Looking for this one called clunk. Whole words right here. Well, Oh, my God. - You know what? That Milady. All right, this next, Milady, to do GMs to people. Let's take that sign up, away. So it doesn't distract me from doing this Control. See, to copy Control Vita Pace he's going to do here. That's so this. Well, really piece. Uh, All right, control the again way . Next minute e see what we do with this. One digit. No way. - Now , Liz, get one more melody in. All right, all right. All right. - Um , you hear that? That's somebody's off. There you go. Um, um Well, - all right, now, cool. Rather, these are done. Has simple thing. This right here. This right here is so top tier. It's crazy. It's like it's like someone in the studio recording this live while playing the drums. So would you want to do it? This one here, grab it, put it into Piano Road is gonna automatically sync in with the tempo. Now, what you want to do here is for it to play the whole way through by stretching the all the way to the patterns. Finishes. No, this is the type of vibe you're gonna get. Well, I mean, deci hands to see if I were going to get out. - No , here is what months? Add in right here and get this snaring, You know, see what we do. Here. Take this. No peak this long. No. Let me grab this, Tom. But to see what doing this. So you were kind of highlight this whole area control be so you could save you time. Great. - Well , you're We just did 11 drums, like, can't you believe that? What I didn't tell you is that the beat I heard that inspired this Elektronik be used. Some pretty city stopped drums. Trust me, it was worse than it sounds. Luckily, I downloaded a top tier tedium drum pack from producer ground a while back, and I always knew that it would be useful. So whatever happens, our dreams are gonna have too much cells. But now that we're done with these drums, we confined. He play around with a few side effects. See, when the next clip peace. 18. Sound FX: you went good with sup your just ahead in the sound effects and complete this beat. I would say this part is the option, but not a days with electronic beat without those random outer space fortnight about a sound of fixed. Let's get to it. It is crazy. This on effect has to be playing plane This So this has to be played as away form just so I could get it right on point whenever it drops. Because if I just throw it in the, um you know, if I just throw it in the step sequencer is gonna be off beat every single time. So this has to be played on the plane. This save it for whenever we structure it. No, you didn't, Bert. No, I like this again. Control maybe being then to save you some time. No, he didn't. Burt's 29 see how to slow slick sounds. Never. Now again. Let me take this affects out because no e g m per 35 see what kind of flavor we're going to do with this again. All the wheels of the pattern ends. Double click it. So you okay? Stop notice way now this Did this eight away? Yes. I'm using a ate away as a sound effect. Now you see what I want to do here? Yes, it's right here. They're supposed to be a other way around. Double click it and click this right here. Look at the task board is going to say slide, which means that their way is gonna slide from here to here. If you click it here, is gonna slide from the high note to the low note. If you put the slide logo on the top one, it means the bottom it away. He's going to slide to the top. Italy? No. Since I wanted to slide low, you see what I'm trying to do? This You wait. Sound effect is going to be It is going to hit at a drop at some point beat. But I'm not gonna spill that being. So Wait till the structure. Now, these sound effects right here are done. We're finally ready to the structure. Everything up now real quick. Save your work and see me in the next clip. Now hurry and think it over there. Nom is part time player PCR 19. Electronic Structuring: your was up with. So the last thing to do now is destruction his B and be done with this nightmare for good. I love this place hotel. I enjoy stepping out of my usual hip hop shit from time to time. That way you never boxed in on one style and your skill stays sharp instead of stiff china . Let's get first what we're gonna do here. It's so one soon. Make sure all of these lights Oh, sorry, brother. Now I want to do right. Click the Paterson Lecter split by channel. INEC splits every single one of them Inter parents. Pretty amazing, right? All right. No, these That's right. Click these and take about for now because they'll still be out here when you select yourselves. No, Let's Mr the 1st 1 way for visitors. Should be. He's Who's to see? Oh, yeah. Starting with this. This one. Okay? Yeah. Didn't phones this drone better? Well, im not pattern. I mean these patterns control be that way. No going here. Uh uh. - All right. Now this right years will put the little crash in there So many year. This part. See? Here's how you know the crash will come in because the way sound gets bigger, I will do for us to slip tool press. None. That way you could get it right on the line. That way, when it drops, it hits right there. No, no. Turned down. I'm going because you don't want to fuck up your years. Please kill you do. Here's get these right here, Control. No, - no gym And the Knicks. The next verse is going to come right with this clinic drops. Really? Now, here's what I want to get to do. No, this right here is basically a verse. So what I want to do here is copy this set of Aybar's control. See a copy. You have to bring it all the way here. So that because it pastes right at the beginning of wherever you drop, whatever you're copying. So leave this one bar here, control V to pace it. No, whatever. No. That's the hottest house. No. - Then you bring this down one bit so I could highlight this part of the beat again. Control. See? Remember, leave. It's a one Bar control V. Okay. Okay. - All right. Now here's one more last thing we gotta do here is differentiate which parts of B there are . No, I'm gonna run todo Thank you. One thing you guys to do control t that's too Learn a ball marker wherever it's that this one says Auto, because I placed control T. There's other options, but there's no time for that because we're laying out this nice as Elektronik beat right, click the marker, Rename its whatever you want. This one is gonna be verse one because this part right here sounds like first workers like those records will be called that. - All right, cool. Now that's it for the section. I appreciate you making it this far towards the end, man. I really do. I really appreciate job. Now. We've got one last section left, so it's going to make it count. PCR 20. Boom Bap Intro: your was good with up Yaar. This is it, man. The last section. We're going to take a step back in time to be a part of something way bigger than us. Something that has stood the test of time. Yo, Okay, I'm being a little dramatic right now, but let's be honest, you you gotta have a good introduction for something like this. You just got to all right, Now put onto these facts that I'm about to drop, or you just like electronics. Boom BAP is its own genre. In my opinion, the only genre that has the biggest impact influence, transition, inspiration thean the hip hop world. And it all originated in New York on the East Coast. A mash I told my New Yorkers, Are there any ways music icons like in W a try Carquest Wu Tang, Big L and more were famous for that style of hip hop, especially the legend himself. Two parks of court. I realized that there's multiple styles of boom bap enough to blow your brains. If I was crazy enough to cover all of instead, I may introduce you to two most famous ones. You know what they say with great power comes great beats, so you better not sleep on them. All right, now, let's make it happen. Piece your 21. Chopping The Sample : Yo, what's up with up? So I was thinking about creating this melody for the section, but we can both agree that we've created more than enough melodies in this course out of my creating another one. But what more do you want from me? So instead, I'm giving you guys one of my top two samples to chop up. This is also give you a small sample of what to expect when I release an actual sampling course. Now, let's get it, please, into impact number. All right, All right. That's what it sounds like right now. You know what to do from here, right? France? Me? What was the most part right here? What are you doing? Oh, so the pitch doesn't change, and it's switch this up to, like, eight wars. It's kind of like, All right, now that sounds good right there. But I really wanted to be at four, four pars. No, I noticed that the sample title says 89 bpm, but I really wanted at 90. I mean, 89 90 is really, really the same thing, but 89 is just a little little, little, little restored. I also want to change the pitch. Let's see what it sounds like around 100 300. That one sounds good right there. Now the reason why people change the pitch is to avoid someone else with the same sample. Now just listen to J. Cole Deja Vu and Bryson Tiller. Exchange exchange came out first, but J. Cole never changed the pitch. It's not bad to do, but it's like, really so on this, I'll let you guys decide what pitch you choose. Now, I only need a piece from this sample, so let's chop it up. All right, So now, now, this part, this first part right here is where I need not listen closely because the 2nd 1 sounds similar. The second part hits a little bit too early. Now this compared to the first wave. Now, the whole sample is unique in the second part is what makes it unique. Now I'm getting the first part because of how smooth it sounds. First, let's get the place to that cut. This first half right here move this to the side. Got the way. Let me duplicate this like two times, you know, just to get a little flip. Now I want also need the ending. And I'll just cut it from here from here to save us a little time here. Sliced to chop it up Chateau I think that put it year. Oh, and if you're wondering why I separate my samples this way is just like a differentiate with samples that chopped. Plus, they all have the same names, so you could feel free to land wherever you choose. Sounds crazy. Yes. So that one right there It sounds real nice. I think we out did ourselves on this one. Plus, now you guys know how to chop up Example which are not ready for these drugs, though peace. 22. Boom Bap Drums 2x: yo was So what's up? You are about to create two legendary drums right now. The 1st 1 I noticed. Kendrick uses a lot. It's in his song Fear from his album Damn! The 2nd 1 J. Cole uses it in Wet Dreams 2014 for his Hills Drive album before sounds. Four sounds Yo, that's all you need to create this beat a kick, a snare Ah, high hat and an open hat, adding 1/5 sound like a sub base into it that only add a little flavor. Yeah, it's a lot like, uh, a little sauce. Nam this plan, which all But anyways, let's get it going, Mrs. Get kids. No. So go to the step sequencer. One thing I like to do here when I'm when I'm making beach with a sample I haven't laid out in the plate. This so, like to put well, pattern out. Just so we're not making the beat. I could play the song. I could play in song mode. I could played in the planus. Well, putting things here in the step sequencer. You see what I'm talking about? - Mikel here? One more step half. Uh, - that's what it felt like, let's put this snaring 14 step. Now let's get the sub basin there. One thing about it, right? Click cut self Onley so it doesnt overlap. The other notes that you play when you the vein to sub base down. Now let's go 1/4 step. Let me tweet these real quick. - All right? No. Let's get this high hat. Sample this right here. Crazy. This sounds like a top tier sample because it sounds like someone just got on the drums and just played the hi hats have recorded it with a microphone. See, here's the thing. Finding this right here was not easy because there's an open high hat instilled in it. So that's a two for price of one. Using the high hat sample. Got a got to use it in here, remember, changed the moto auto so the change doesn't so the pitch doesn't change. Put it upto one bar because it'll fit. So this is what it will sound like. Now, one thing I like to do is tweak myself bases a little bit. So it is it because, like, while clean the B, I kind of noticed you kind of noticed that the sub base was kind of off was a little slightly off beat. And in order to give it that boom bat feeling, you want to shift it, give it, but like, two or three three time shifts, what I'm talking about right now that right there is the first drums. Let's go over to the Jaco version. No, this Honeydripper sample right here. I know this was familiar. This one right here. It's a complete drum sample. There's a kick high hat, snare and open hat. And it is top tier only because of the classic. Like, Come on, it's really just listen to it. Like someone was literally playing this live while I was being recorded. No, Tony, what gets better than that? Let me drag incident playing this to stop playing with you guys. Remember, Global Collect the sample changed its auto sort of pitch. Doesn't change. Now stretch it to one bar and duplicated. Remember, I like this control beef to save the time when they're going to do here, I'm gonna add a sub base to this J Cole drum samples. No, here's what I want to do. God alone, - You know, Let's see how all these drums sound together with the same. All right bit. Now You already know this structure is about to be eaten it. Now get out here and go through structures. Now I'm playing with our again. I'm before Don't listen to me. See? You are in the next clip Peace. 23. Boom Bap Beat Structuring: Yo, what's up with some PR? I'm gonna be structuring the tool boom bap Trump's until one beat. Now we're really about to do something that's rarely done the whole look. Let me think about it now. I can't even name was Soul has done that. I know this. Aim down on it. Let's go First, let me high like these Having these drums. Well, this drum pattern could take. Now let me her like these control. Really, baby Another one. I'm just flavor, but you so All right, now what we're gonna do here, go to the parents. Right. Click the patterns, Elector, split by channel and get this one right here. All right. Nothing. We're good to go. We're going to do here. Uh, - not going to get this sub a sand. - Uh , just beware. You're crazy. One more. One more to meeting one crazy, - I think. Wow. I like the way it ended. Like smooth. Yo, let me tell you something, man. This beat is deadly. Let the wannabe producers here. This man, we're talking nightmares for a whole year. No doubt. We just made some history. Oh, drop for review and leave marks on it till next course. Fam peace
