Project Description

4 insanely practical projects in video editing

Note: I have uploaded project videos in specific sections of the course where the assignment is given. This file is here only for reference.

PROJECT 1: Create an educational video

Welcome to the practical section of this course.

Today .. we play!

As you’ve seen in the previous video, creating a video using Keynote and Screenflow is easy and it can be done in no time.
So now, it’s your turn.

First, create a Keynote (or Powerpoint) presentation on your favorite subject. It can be an informational presentation but you can also educate your audience, or maybe entertain them.
Second, record yourself while playing that presentation. Edit it, and export it.
And last, publish it on a site (I’d suggest using Youtube) and post the link in the comments section.

I’ll personally review your presentation and tell you what you need to do to improve it.

PROJECT 2: Demo a software product

Hi,

First, I want to congratulate you! You’re progressing marvelously in this course.
Some students go through it at a fast pace hoping to get some hidden techniques.
Others join and never get past the first few videos.

You are one of the few that takes the videos one by one and learns everything you can.
Here’s the second project we’ll be working on: creating a demo of a software product using Screenflow.

You can demo a product you’re using, an online course or even Screenflow’s features.

After you finish the demo, edit it and publish it on Youtube (or another site) and post the link in the comments section.

I’ll personally review your demo and give you some advice on how to improve it.

PROJECT 3: Record a video of yourself teaching something

Hello again,

Today we have one hell of a project.
Because it’s time to put yourself in front of the camera.
Record a video of yourself teaching something, anything really and post the link in the comments section.

After you finish the editing, publish the video on Youtube and post the link in the comments section.

I’ll personally review your video and give you some advice on how to improve it.

PROJECT 4: Record a Skype interview

Woow, we’re almost over.

I love to see you here. You’re one of the winners, one of the few people that take their interests seriously.

And now it’s time for this week’s project.

Find a person to interview for one of your projects and record a Skype call between you and him.
If you don’t want to do interviews then record a conversation between you and one of your friends while you tell him a joke.

After you finish the editing, publish the video and post the link in the comments section.

I’ll review your video and give you some advice on how to improve it.
