## Project Description

Apply essential Excel operations to your list of data

ASSIGNMENT

Take some data you have from a project you are working on and prepare the data to be analyzed. The data could be a list of your monthly expenses, a list of names and e-mails you need to contact, anything! Make sure to anonymize the data in case anything is senstive information!

DELIVERABLE

Here's what I want you do with your data:

• Filter and/or sort it by a column
• Apply fill and font colors to your data
• Write a SUM() and/or CONCATENATE() formula in a blank cell to summarize and clean up your data

Skillshare doesn't let you upload Excel files to the Project Gallery, so upload a screenshot or video of your Excel file and send me your Excel file at [email protected]

RESOURCES

• Download the Excel for the Real World I Workbook in the attachments to follow along with the class videos (see full syllabus in the file)
• If you don't have any data to play with for your project upload, I attached some sample data for you to apply the skills you learn in this class (one file shows TV shows that are available on DVD, and the other file is a monthly budget template)
• For more detailed tutorials about how to write formulas, read this article about the SUM() formula and this article about the CONCATENATE() formula
