1. About the Course: Welcome to my course, everything about Copic marker. My name is you knew yea, I'm an artist from general Austria and I'm working with Copic markers for several years. Also, I'm official certified copy constructor, which means that I'm certified by Copic marker itself to hold workshops and classes. In addition, I wrote a book about using Copic marker, which is called Alessi were Copic marker or everything about Copic marker. Within this course, I will refer to many techniques from the book. So if you're looking for additional materials, you can check out the book which is available in German, dutch language. This course is meant to be for beginners as well as advanced artists. In the first modules of this course, we will start with the very basics like what is the Copic marker? Or does the comma wheel, how to color skin or how to shade, how to call it a accessories. And, and, and if you have more advanced object, you can skip this part step-by-step, This course will get more difficult. A later, even more experienced artist who find some new techniques they might never heard of before. Like the vodka colored technique. This course is for all kinds of artists. It doesn't matter if you're a designer and architect, illustrator, scrapbook of a comic book artist. So techniques I will show you are universal and adaptable to any style. May be realistic animal, fantasy drawing. I portray, or even monger art. You can call it anything you like and you will have the skills for it. So let's start our journey together into the fantastic world of Copic marker. I'm looking forward to working with you. 2. About Module 5: Module five. Welcome to Module Five, nature. This module's about coloring nature elements like grass, trees, and flowers. The module suited for beginners as well as advanced artists. Learning how to color grass and trees is really easy and a good opportunity for beginners to practice. The feathers stroke and of confetti stroke. Flowers, especially the rows, are more difficult to color, but will help you to improve your blending skills. For this module, you need a layout Paper, and at least some green and great films. The flowers can be colored and the color you like. So there's no specific color recommendation. If you're not sure which colors to buy and which colors work well with each other. Take a look at module bond for general color recommendations. 3. Practicing Strokes: Practicing with drugs. Before we start coloring graphs and trees, make sure that you know how the confetti and feather stroke work. The further strokes starts with pressure which is continuously reduced. A well-done Kazaa stroke starts wide and get really thin at its end. In order to achieve this, stroke should go loose from the hand. The brush knee above the Copic sketch, or chow, is best suited for this. It's similar to writing and gothic hands squared with a fountain pen and the letters with a nice thrilling. This stroke is the most difficult to master and need some practice. So take an extra sheet of paper and try to make some felt the stroke was take an extra sheet of paper and try to make some catalyst strokes. For beginners, this is really difficult. So please practice until you strokes book Similar to the video, the confetti stroke is not really difficult. It consists of many small dots. Just take care not to use force or excessive pressure. Otherwise the nipple take damage. You can play around and try different dot sizes. Please take your time to practices strokes and continue. When you feel confident about them. 4. Grass: Grass, dried grass is a lot of fun and really easy when you knew how to do the fatal stroke. Usually, you try to avoid stripes which are created when two strokes are not close enough to each other. This time, we want to create the stripes and intentionally, step one, start with the first layer and make several federal stroke with the little distance to each other. Step two, the next step, you add more strokes, which goes slightly in a different direction. They can also have a different language. That's all you see. It's very easy to colour graph. And this graph field was colored with only one to G, seven. If you want to have a more, that look, you can work with more colors. Start with lattice color. At the second layer, that the darker color. But take care that there is some gap between the strokes and that they are not as long as the strokes of the first layer. This is important to keep the first layer with Apple. You can add more layers and different colors, but always careful that the strokes on January thinner, shorter and have some distance between them so that the other layers can shine through. For this grass field, I use by d three, y, d 13, G, saffron, and W3. But it's up to you how many colors you use. Please note that you should always start with the lightest color, as it is easy to cover light with a dark color. But LAD color on the darker one is merely visible. 5. Trees: Trees. At some point, every artist has to draw a tree in his life. At first glance, this seems a complex and difficult task to master. But there's a really easy technique to draw trees, which is suited for all kinds of artists. Simple tree. For this tree, I'm using only four colors. So that beginners can see that they can do also wonderful artworks with just a few colors. Of course, you can use different colors, but you should use at least warm light and worn dark when. And the gray tone to shade alone with step one. This is one of the few occasions where the gland is of use. You can use a blender like primer or water for water colors. The colors will blend more fluid into each other. If you applied on a wet blender Foundation, the step is not necessarily needed. And the effect depends a little bit on the paper. But if you have a blender, you can give it a try. Stack to make some dots with the first color. Keeps some distance between them and create wealth. Lee the shape of the tweet HA, stack three, add more colors. Be careful to keep distance between the dots. Stack for draw trunk and some branches. This can be done really sketchy. Step five. Now it's time to give the tree the shape at more dots, but don't do it randomly. Tried to shape the tree a little bit, was different sections. And some parts they are Molly's at some less and there are also some dark areas. Stack six. Define the triangle branch is a little bit law. Livid tree. This tree is done with more colors. The steps are all the same with the only difference that the added more colors. You can experiment a little bit and add besides when tunes BMI and pale yellow, blue, and violet. This heat is from a manga program might inspire you to try different ways. 6. Leaves: Leaves, leaves a lot very difficult to color. Unfortunately, I can't offer you extra materials for them as they are not part of the manga program. Really. Again, I only use some basic colors to make it easier to practice for beginners who can't afford a huge market collection. I use C five, S4, S3. And why GAD were threefold? If you want to have a warmer look, you can call the home, leave the light yellow tone at the end. Regarding the outlines, it's up to you if you print it out like me, light gray tune and do the algebra later with black or colored marker. You can also trace the outlines with black or gray marker. Step one, systems give you some guidance and shall be the darkest part, outlined them with a gray market. Step two, you want to create some highlight areas, which can be this damn all the outer border. Step three, define the shadow areas. You can use a pay a grey color photos again. Step four, you find this dam. Step five. Step six. You can use a gray colored all-black mode. Coloring and makes a lot of fun and does not really difficult. Stop. This is optimal. For smooth. You can use a yellow marker. It has the same function as used for the trees. Step two, autumn leaves have some sprinkled colorful areas using variation of confetti and novel strokes in the desired color sprinkle effects. Step three, landed with a pale color. Step four, landed gan with another pale color. Step five, outline. You can use a gray colored all-black multiline. Step six, define sprinkled on the outlines a little bit law. 7. Flower: A simple flowers. Another good exercise to practice drugs. You can do it a nanny collar you like. In this case, I used to lie to dark technique. Step one, start with the first petal. Do feather strokes on both sides of the paddle and the desired color. Take care to keep a Khaled area in the middle of each petal. In this way, you're creating a more three-dimensional look. Step two will take care of the shadows. It creates a shadow. Is darker. Step three, path is that little bit more. In order to make it, I use a different color. Pedal stroke again and keep the medulla. Step four. If you're not satisfied with the outcome, you can repeat step three and define the shadows a little bit more. Step, five. Step. As always optional. You can use a gray, black, or colored. Step seven, define your land a little bit more and use pay for finishing. 8. Rose: Rose. Rose is a one of the most popular but also difficult motifs. Not only their shape where we complex. Red roses are not so easy to color because of their rich pi, big demanded color. It can quickly happen that you get to dark or the paint smudges. Therefore, you should color roses very carefully. I recommend to you to adapt lie technique will work mainly with payer red colors as it can smudge the dog wants. Step. Well. First, we should molecule highlight areas of the LACMA curve. This will prevent you from getting too dark too quickly. And notation, as you can see, the nipple Bamaga was quite shiny. At the mako was twofold. The sheet of paper I removed some color from the nib. Step two is strongly recommend the D2 lat technique. First, the darkest colors applied, then it gets blended with a medium shade and then drawn onto the edge with the light has changed. Staff was a petal. Step three, be patient and do handle, but we had to draw the shadows used to go to reference. Step down. You can use a red black multiline. This step is always optional. If you use data from the start, it's not necessary. Adding more columns landed. Like yellow rose colors. It's also possible to deepen the dark shadows with Violet. Step seven. A landed.
