And to mitigate your risk of your new business venture, we have to make sure that the idea you're pursuing is something people want something they will pay money for. But it would be actually battered to validate your year before he even built the product right place. Make sure to validate your idea. It's really important. In fact, you can already get a decent amount of feedback for less than $20 that you can and should invest on Facebook cats validating your idea is crucial. So let me show me in this training how to do it. 2. 2 Market SIze: in this video. I just want to give you a quick overview off the system and how this training is structured . If you want to mitigate the risk of starting a new business, there are two important things you should do before your launch. Step one. Make sure there are enough people to sell. Validating the market size is the first thing we'll do step to make sure there are enough people who are willing to buy what you're going to sell. I'll show you how to use Facebook ads to do this. As you can see, the system is actually pretty simple, right? Step one is about estimating the market size, and Step two is about making sure that the idea you're pursuing is something other people want to pay money for. 3. 3 Market Size Research Part I: So how do you actually define the science of your market? The first thing I want you to do is to create a list of the biggest players in your niche market. I know you're trying to launch new business, creating your product or a new service. But in 99.999% of all cases, you're not inventing a completely new market. Probably your operating within an existing market, and you're just creating a better and different product that you're not reinventing the wheel. So the first thing you really have to do is to make a list of the biggest players in your market. If you want to create a new block, let's say in the social media marketing space, then I will just create a list of the biggest players in that market. It's pretty simple. Just opened a new text at it, or just take some notes and write down the biggest players in that market. There is no rocket science involved in researching thes players. All that you have to do is going to Google and drink different keywords like the name of your market. For example, social media marketing and cures like biggest blocks, biggest players, biggest forums, biggest websites, right or top websites, for example. So really just get the websites of the biggest companies, the biggest brands in your industry, and the reason is that we want, Teoh asked. Might the imagine people who are active within that market, how many people are actually interested in social media marketing, for example? So if I wanted to launch a new product on Facebook marketing, I would just take a look at how many people are interested in Facebook marketing. Or if I wanted to do a course on I don't know, let's say, the ultimate Social Media Marketing Guide, right? Just the course with 30 40 videos covering the basic and core aspect of social media marketing. Or maybe I want to create a membership site that will really go for the topic. Social Media Marketing. The first thing you really have to do is to take a look at how how big the audience is that you want to go for, and this is a really easy and great exercise, really. Go to Google, do a little bit of research and create a list of the biggest players in that market here in social media marketing. And we see things like Soldier Media Examiner, a website with, I think, three million visitors a month and more than 400,000 Facebook fans. We have done Loomer Big Guy, razor social social media mounts. Post planner Destin dot tv Danny Brown came gars Amy Port If it Mary Smith and so on. Right, So a bare minimum is 10 website, But you can actually go form or just make sure that the websites you're looking at are doing something similar. So either they're going for the same topic. Or maybe they're offering similar products to yours products that they're similar to. What? You try to do what you're working on. So this is a list you have to do if you're in the dating market. Obviously there would be different websites if you would be in the fitness market. There would be also different companies, but they hope you get the concept. That's really the first thing I want to ask you to do. Pretty simple exercise, but also pretty important one. So once we have that, let me just leave that to the site. We'll check out the 100% free tool called Facebook audience insights. This tool was primarily designed to create better at, but it's also really great research to also let me show you how to use it. The first thing you have to do to access Facebook audience insights is logging in into the Facebook ads manager right? That's how it will look like Just go do business that facebook dot come. If you are using a business account, otherwise, facebook dot com slash adds slash manager Right then you will see that tap here. It's called tools. If you click on it, drop down will open. And then there's a link, a tap called audience Insights. I want you to click on that. Let's do it. That's it. Everyone on Facebook and here we go. A Z can see tons of the Don't get scared. Don't get confused. Let me give you a very brief walk through because people actually use that you'll in the following videos in the next video, actually, and I will show you how to your research your target audience for the second step, actually, to validate your idea so well, how is Facebook? Audience insights structured first of all. You can create an audience that you want to take a look at right so you can define the location, the age and gender and interests. Then you can even take a look at the Ogden's behind your pages or your abs, for example, right, pretty cold. Then there are also some more advanced filters, but these are not so important. So the main filters air Definitely the location, age and gender and the interests and depending on the water and to hear different data will be visible. Right will get this plaint. So, first of all, first of all, we have demographic information information like the percentage of women and men who are active within a specific market. We see the different age groups, right? For example, 24% of all women are between 25 34. If that's what you see here, right, the audience 65 years and more is accounts for 10% of the female audience and 7% of the male audience. We have information about the lifestyle relationship status, education level, pretty cool. Also, the job title, right? So what are these people doing for a living, then pages that he likes. So we have top categories and, well, really, the pages that a specific audience likes. It can also click on Seymour to see more pages. Pretty cool location. We have information about the top cities, top countries and top languages. We have information about the activity on Facebook. So how active is your audience? How many pages you don't like? Do they like to comment? Um, like, hit the like button on posts or share posts? Or are they not so active? We see the devices that they use pretty cool. So the activity section ist is pretty important then for the United States. We have information about the household incomes he actually see. How much cash do they have to spend information of of the home ownership household size who market value spending methods Pretty interesting if you're if you want to open a e commerce store and then also information about the purchase behaviour, retail spending, online purchases, purchase behaviour and in market for a vehicle right, you can't even see the cars that they're driving pretty cool. So don't get scared by all that data. The tool is actually pretty into it. If you will just have to play around with that a little bit to get a better understanding of how it works. And we will use that tool in the second in depth through research or target audience, to create something called a customer avatar that, based on that, we will actually create over ads. But what they want you to do here. So again, a short recap. We we've done this list or you will do this list, actually off the top 10 websites in your niche market, and what they want you to do is to enter the name off these competitors in the Interests section, right? So I'll just go for the for three of them. Let's pick like Social Media examiner Jon Loomer and Amy Porterfield. So it's Let's do that social media examiner. You're the are. Then we sat Jon Loomer and Amy. Poor interference. I don't want to make this over complicated, so usually I would just enter all of these here, right? But it's totally fine if we just go for the 1st 4 for three of them, just for demonstration purposes. In the sake off simplicity 4. 4 Market Size Research Part II: So how do you actually define the science of your market? But it's totally fine if we just go for the 1st 4 for three of them, just for demonstration purposes. In the sake off simplicity 5. 5 Creating Customer Profile: So, as you can see, the data is slightly different on what we're doing now is taking a look at the audience behind those websites. It's pretty interesting because this way you can get a clear picture of the estimated market size now what you have to do to get to get really clear in Akron. Dana, First of all, determined the market you want to go for right. If it's the United States entered United States here. If you are seeking to reach everyone globally, work worldwide than remove the location here, right? You just really want to check of the global audience of those three competitors here that what I recommend is really going for specific countries here. It's the United States. Could be Germany. It could be Australia. You really know what product you're planning and where you want to sell it. So if you if you want to go for a very specific country, just entered that here. If you're planning to sell your product worldwide, then just remove the default option, which is the United States, then h well, you can narrow that one down. There's a specific reason. For example, you want to reach just a very specific group of people within within that core audience. Basically, they just go ahead and do that. But generally speaking, also keep the through the default here 18 to any 65 years and older, and then also pretty cool the gender. You can take a look at the male and the female audience, but you can also take a look at the male audience on Lee or the female audience on Lee. Well, let's say you're planning a dating app fright that is geared towards men or a A yoga course that is geared towards women obviously doesn't make sense to take a look at the demographic data off man and women, right? You either want to go for the man or just for the women. So if you have a vory specific product or business in in your mind and and you really want to go for the male or the female audience, only then I would use that filter here. But in this case, hate. I want to reach both genders. I want to reach men, and I want to reach women. So here's something very interested. Interesting. Um, we see how many people are active within the social media marketing space by taking a look at the top competitors. So here I only have three competitors. Amy Port. If you don't. Jon Loomer, digital and social media examiner The ages 18 to any and I'm taking a look at both genders and also on Lee, the audience in the United States. And here's the really interesting section because they see that one million to 1.5 million people are active on Facebook monthly, and this is pretty huge rights of There's a a potential audience of at least a 1,000,000 people that I can reach if I would enter amore competitors than this number with actually increased. So it probably would be something like two or three, or maybe even five million people. But this is the metric you really wanted. He close Look at to understand the estimated market size. Now, if you would be in the market, then you will. You will see after entering all of your competitors and taking a look at you know, the global audience or the audience in the specific country. You would see a number like 5000 people are active on Facebook. I would rather stay away from that market unless it's like a super specific niche product that you know it will sell. Then he That's cruel, that if you see there is just a very limited number of people active from Facebook a month , then I don't I really wouldn't go for that. There was simply not enough people that you can sell to right, especially if you want to go for a very specific audience or is very specific group of that people. Chances are your organs will narrow even war, and you will end up with one or 2000 people that you could sell your product. You, which is not a lot so like the bare minimum, should be 50,000. This is what I recommend. 1,000,000 is just fantastic. You know, there are many people interested in social media marketing, for example, so if I would be a product in that it would set if I wanted to establishing you business in the social media marketing space, maybe with a new angle, or just create products with services that are soling. The problems people have in the social media marketing space would probably work, and there's a ton of people. I could sell that product or service to bed, really, To estimate the market size. Do that exercise. It works. It works, Right? Short recap. Just create a list like this. Pretty simple. Um, just find at least the 10 biggest players in your niche market them, all of them here into the interest action. Then you can take a look at a very specific country or just the global audience. You can also never down the H and the gender, and then take a look at the audience. Tap here, right? If it's a 1,000,000 people to 35 10 million people, that's great. If it's only like 10 20 30,000 people, that's really not a lot. So the bare minimum should be 50,000 and, well, this is how you define the market size. It's a simplest that go ahead and do it now. 6. 6 Creating Customer Profile 2: when I recommend is again entering all the competitors into this section here, right? And, well, then just write down the data. Here It's Amy Porterfield, Jon Loomer Digital Socially, The Examiner. If you're in the dating market or weight loss or fitness market again, something different would be just in here, and also different data would be displayed. But this system is always the same. So first of all, I would write down, um, you know how many women and manner active in this market? I would also take notes in the core audience I want to go for, for example, in this case, 18 to 24 years. That's maybe nothing I'm interested in, especially if I tried to send like, higher ticket items. These folks have no money. He's spent so, generally speaking, if you try to sell a product that's a little bit more expensive, never go 40 18 to 24 year olds. 25. That's like the minimum age, because at that point, a part of that audience already has a job. They have a credit card. They have money to spend. Usually they don't have to ask their parents for cash. So in this case, I would just write down 25 to 34 35 to 44 45 to 54 68% women, 32% men. Then we have information about the lifestyle. Well, in my opinion, that's just some stupid data that Facebook is offering, like the life's on his career building. And then there is a little explanation. What career building means. Career building is made up off young child that sales the arm mix of mobile renters and first time homeowners living in condos and single family houses. Well, this tells me nothing, right? So, generally speaking, forget about the lifestyle section relationship status. Pretty interesting. Write. I would write down 31% or a single 15% or in the relationship. 4% are engaged. 50% of married education level, 24% are have been too high school, 66% to college and 11% to Kratz School job title next section. So if he actually click on selected audience, you can sort the data by size and we see management 38% administrative jobs, 35% sales, 35% Arts, entertainment, sports and media 27%. So the bare minimum would be actually to write down three or ideally, five job titles, the top five or three job titles. Next, Peaches that they like. I don't like Teoh Gofer for the top category section, where name or interested in is actually this one here. This action that pages that the like section. So write down like the top 10 pages, or maybe even the top 20 in your niche market. So we have Amy Porterfield here. Well, surprise Melanie Duncan, social media examiner, Facebook for business digital marketer Tony Robbins, Success Magazine and so on. The reason we're doing that is pretty simple. You can use those pages here in the interest targeting section to get better results. Right? So Facebook marketings all about reaching out to a relevant group of people on Facebook and by writing down the top pages that your target audience likes. Hey, it just helps you to create laser targeted at. So in this section, your let me just bring back the customer avatars. So age, gender spreading to native Let's just curl down interests, right? I would just write down like a least 10 pages that are relevant to my target audience. You can even write them, or it's not super important that 10 is really the Berman minimum that I would go for it. Perfect recovered that one location. Now we're looking at the audience in the United States, and if you click a top cities again, weaken, sort the data well, I would take notes in the top cities, right? 10% of the audience off Amy Porterfield, Jon Loomer and Social Media Examiner. 10% lives in New York, 6% in they'll 85% in Chicago, UM, 5% in Houston taxes. You can use that data to create better ads because you can also, or for specific cities, it's possible with Facebook gets. So take notes on that activity. Well, when the frequency of activities doesn't tell you super much, there's only two things that that you could take notes on, but not in the customer avatar. If you see that this audience tends to common dellape that the like lots of peaches, the 10th you like posts and the 10 to share posts. What this data here tells me is that hate. Those folks are very active on Facebook, very active on social media, the Calmund a lot the like lots of posts in these, sure many posts. So you probably know that the big fan engagement a big high engagement rate on Facebook means free traffic. The more active your audiences, the bigger issue. Organic reach. So if you see that you're going for an active audience, having a strong social media marketing strategy in place is super important. Why? Because you will reach new prospects any potential customers for free. If your core audience of your fans are engaged, if they interact with your fan page with your posts than your organic reach will just increase and you will get free clicks. Free traffic. So if you see something similar to this, if you see your interacting or going for a very, very active audience, then make sure you think about the strong social media strategy. Izabal just pee off, and the second thing is, well, adds clicked. You can see the great the great part, your as the average on Facebook, the average user behavior and Facebook so you can see that this audience here just loves to click on ads. If you already created Facebook as You probably know there are two different bidding models you can pee for a click or 2000 different impressions. That's one of the aspects probably every Facebook character eyes is arguing about. What is batteries, the CBC, mobile better or the CPM? All the better? Well, here is what you should you get soared with the CPC model. And if you see that something similar to this year you're going for an audience that loves to click on acts, it makes sense. You split this, your ads nature down the road. Probably you, Opie less if you go for the CPM model. The cost per like 1000 impressions model. I know this is a little bit more advanced information, but they just wanted to point it out because I'm really saving you a lot of money here. If you see you're going for an active audience on Facebook, having a strong soldier media strategy plays will pee off and also split this in between CPC and CPM definitely makes sense. Well, then I would also take notes on devices that the use best of only mobile invested only mobile only, For example, if you see that your mobile audience isn't super active there, just like, yeah, let's see, That would be just 1% active on Facebook on Mobile, right on the smart, smart phones, tablets and and salon. Well, this tells me that I don't have to invest tons of money into optimizing my entire business for a mobile traffic right. I don't have to have landing pages that are geared towards mobile traffic because chances are nobody will even visit my my peach, my websites from mobile devices So it doesn't make sense to optimize everything for 1% of users. Then I would just say, like scream, Oh, let's go for a mobile trade for desktop traffic in that case, but here 31% are active on mobile only Sue, that's I mean, that's that's a number right, 31% or just active on Facebook on their phones, not under desktop. So if you see a number like that, then you know we have to optimize your business later down the road for a mobile traffic. And besides that, mobile ads will be pretty interesting. Let's move on household income. That's probably the only interesting section here. If you see that your audience is quite a lot of cash to spend. First of all, you can charge or think about higher price points. And what I did here is, for example, just writing down. Let's go for income yet 100 k plus. So this this just tells me I could try reaching out of my Facebook at to the rich kits of that audience. And, well, I just know they have money to spend. So it take notes on that on the main or on some very special segments off your audience in terms off the household income level. Well, then we have some more data here whom home ownership, household size, homework value spending methods that's not really super relevant. And then we also have retail spending. Online purchases, purchase behaviour in market for a vehicle. I mean, you can take him. You can take a look at that data, but it's not super important. So again create the customer avatar like that Hughes Facebook audience inside, stem all of your competitors into that section. You can even narrow down the audience here if, while you're just interested in a very specific segment in terms of age or gender, and we'll just create a simple customer avatar H gender location, income, education level, relationship status, job title interests and the activity. With that sheet, we will great and set up at later down the road is a pretty important exercise. I hope you do it. So go ahead, take notes on your market size and also create a customer avatar like this. 7. 7 How to Validate your idea: when I recommend is again entering all the competitors into this section here, right? 8. 8 Idea Validation: perfect. So let me show you how the process off validating your a year actually works. What we will do is creating Facebook ATS and sending visitors to a landing Patriots squeeze page. We will try to get their email address. People actually bribed them to opt in to provide their email. I'll show you how to set up landing pages, what they should contain. And also, how do you create Facebook acts? Don't worry about any of that will cover everything. Just make sure you understand the process. So once they opted in, we will send them a number of emails and actually create the survey and serving them price . So we will ask them specific questions related to the product that you want to sell to the business you want to establish. And hey, I'll also show you what you should ask them how to create those surveys. We will cover everything. So the process is pretty simple, really great. Laser targeted ads sent visitors to landing page serving them, and at the end of the day, we will pretty much understand whether your idea iss something that will work out, whether it's something that other people er interested in and whether they will actually give you money to buy your products and your services 9. 9 Building Your landing page: Okay, great. So the first thing that you will have to build is a landing page, right? So we have to capture the information of people who are potentially interested and what we will create later, down the road can be product that can be Burt business. And then we will just serve the them. We will ask them questions. So the point of the landing pages to capture information off potential clients of potential buyers. And there are two different types of landing pages you can set up. The 1st 1 is the very basic one, right? The freebie page. So you said visitors to a opt in page, which can look like this, and you offer them a relevant piece of information for free in exchange for their email address. In case of digital marketer, it's the ultimate Facebook at template library. So the person who opts into who opt in on that page, that person will receive the ultimate Facebook at template library rights. You're not telling people that you're planning to do a product that you want to get them involved. No, You're just telling them Hey, you're interested in Facebook. Opt in here and I have this gift for you now. The cool thing is about this option. There's tons of stuff on the Internet and how to build that. It's also pretty simple and intuitive. You just put together a piece of free information that is closely related to the product that you actually try to make saying. For example, if I was planning to do a Facebook advertising video serious a big online cores and membership or maybe even writing a book, then obviously I would stay within topic Facebook marketing and then just put together something like this, a free Facebook at Template Library and offer that library in exchange for the email address. So once those people are on my list, I can survey them. It's a standard lead capture, for there was nothing special about it. Right to this is what you can do. But it's not may favorite option if you want to build a product, if you want to get people involved, if you want to survey them, I like this option way more. It's a simple video page, and the video is very, very special. In the next video, I will go over a script that I put together with you that you can use to record the video, that either you stand in front of a camera and recording video or you hire someone on the lands, for example, to record a video for you. The beauty about this things video page here is that I'm not offering something in exchange for the email address like a free gift, a free book, a free video series, although you can also do that. The primary purpose of that video pages Just saying Hi, telling your name, telling people that you plan to do a product on a specific topic and that you really need their help because you want to be a truly great product that will solve their needs. So you just really stand there and you tell people what you try to do. And he asked them for their help. Believe it or not, with this approach, you will have a super high response rate now the only that people will more likely respond to the service that you will send to their inbox via email. The reason issue already prepared them that they will receive some sort of questions. Also, that was the reason why they joined this list. In case of the freebie page of the first type of leading pay chicken built. The primary reason why they joined that page was to get some sort of free information, right? And if you send them a survey, they might be a little bit surprised and be like, Hey, screw you. I just wanted to freebie. I don't want to help you, but in this case, you really asking people to help you and you you showing that you want to act in their best interests, right? So you tell them. Hey, I'm not doing this because I am bored. I am doing this because they want to build a truly great product versus old established authority and you established yourself. You position yourself as a person who truly cares, because in 99% of the of old cases, just people start throwing products of you and they are like, Hey, do you want this or or not? If notes for you, if you want this, give me your money. You're doing something different. You want to involve your audience right from the beginning, and this is so special, because really nobody does this, not only will the response rate than the service be higher now, the click through rate on your emails will be higher. The open rate will be higher also, if you finally create the product. If you finish it, more people will buy it from you because you told them, Hey, I did this for you and you can incorporate their feet back into that product. So this is the video page is really great. If it's possible for you, just stand in front of the camera, put together something very simple like that. It can be even simpler. Just the headline in the video, actually, and in the next video, we'll tell you exactly what you say in that video. So I hope you get the two different concepts of landing pages. The 1st 1 the freebie pages, the standard page that you see probably everywhere on the Internet. But the 2nd 1 is very special, right? So if you really plan to get feedback on your product while building up a list of potential customers that you can promote the product to once it's ready, this option is far better than the 1st 1 It's a very special page, I know, but it's basically all about the video that you will record positioning yourself. It's an expert as an authority in your field, maybe even providing some social proof and really convey the message of hate. I'm somebody who really cares about making a great product. Help me, please. To accomplish that goal, join you on that journey. Become part of a product creation process. This is an opportunity many people don't get. That's why the video page is my favorite tag of landing page to capture information for the purpose of serving your customers, your potential customers. So let me show you what to say in that video. 10. 10 Video Script that Converts: So here's the video script I was talking about. Let me walk you through. This director very quickly started by saying your name right? Hi, my name is Patrick. Then tell people a little bit about what you do, who you are established, some authority and social proof. So start out by saying S and then enter your job description. Facebook marketer, yoga teacher, photographer and someone who enjoys connecting with people through social media. I get to interact with thousands of people every single day. Well, if it's on thousands of people, maybe it's hundreds of people. You don't have to be super accurate A to this point, but you want to give the people of the impression off, you know? OK, here's somebody who has some authority because he just talks to a lot of people about what he's doing for a living, being a photographer or a Facebook marketer on online marketers, someone who plays guitar teaches. How did you sing? Whatever you do, then I share my height, my highs and my lows, doing my best to at any hury shoot established some authority and social proof very, very specifically. For example, if you have a big following on Instagram. You can say that doing my best to share my highs and my lows with close to 500,000 followers on the instagram or with my close to 50,000 um, fans on my Facebook page or doing my best to help Fortune 500 companies to grow their business. So really describe something that's really outstanding about what you do for a living. Okay, you should lie here that you really want to establish some social proof in some authority, right? And if you the reason why we're doing this is the beginning is, um, first of all, it's it's very personal, right, because we use sentences like or phrases like highs and my lows connecting with people through social media. Then you people immediately know, OK, here's the product. You're something that's for me, because I'm also interested in photography, and you you introduce yourself as being a photographer, right? So if you name the job title what you do for a living, people will be immediately like Oh, that's a person that can learn from, and by establishing some authorities and showing some social proof right at the beginning, it will make sure that people will not regard you as a random due to is just doing something everybody does know. You tell people Hey, m special. I have a big following or and I have a very special clients or I'm doing I'm doing video production for for since the past, like 10 years. Okay, they will start listening to you because they will see like, oh, cures and expert. I should listen to that guy. And then you keep on with the help of this community with the help of you all. I want to make a difference in this were out. Well, you could do something else, right? Just I know it's very it sounds very idealistic and want to make a difference in this world . That's that's quite a big work. I know, But you really want to explain why you're doing what you do, right? You want to really explain, um, what's driving you? What's your personal motivation? If it's a really changing the world, they're making a difference in this world. It can be something else. I want to make sure that everybody can make can make beautiful photos or that everybody can build the business office dreams because I believe that having his your own business that delivers some truth in great value IHS but will make you happy at the end of the date. The case of really explain why you do what you do. Establish some very deep connection with your audience on that on an emotional level. Then, on any given day, Air received hundreds of questions from people about topic. For example, photography like and then named the top three or four questions that you receive and try to include problem oriented questions, Right? So the purpose of every business is to solve problems. So include problems or questions that point out problems that irrelevant to target organs, then the logical consequences, this one. That's why I decided to work on the new online training on Facebook marketing, which will answer all of your questions. So you're telling people why you decided to do an online training because he want to respond to questions you want to help? I'd be really happy if you could join me on this journey, and I'm looking for to creating a great product for you. So you tell people hate. I want to help you here's a product that I will do. Then you should describe the product and want to do sentences. What the courses about what students will learn with the desired outcome is so, for example, in the Facebook marketing space, I'm planning a six week training serious that will show you step by step, how to grow your business with Facebook marketing. I will include things like, How do you build your Facebook fan base? How to generate more traffic? How do you build an email list? And how do you generate more sales if it's a yoga course or a course in photography? Really? Just tell people a little bit what products you have been planning, then this makes you really special again. But before I even started working on the training, you tell people I haven't even started yet. I'd like you to become part of it and get it. I'd like to get you involved right from the beginning. People would be like, Oh, I can be part of a product. That guy will actually even create the product for me that special. Then you say I'd like to offer you to join this list so we can work together on the new product. So we're not telling people. Hate joined this drawing this list because I wanna sell a product to you at a discounted price, like inviting them to work in the product, even if they don't want to do that. First of all, you really again a savage some authority. At this point, you showed that you really care. And even if they don't want to help you keep their interest is in the product because they say, Hey, that guy is really cool. No business has ever spoken to me this way. Then you can go on with you can share with me the challenges here facing when, when trying to, I don't know do Facebook advertising, for example. And I'll do my best to respond to your needs in the course of First of all again, this. This is some pretty advanced marketing psychology. But what you're telling people here is I want to help you. I want that build a product that's just for you. So he actually give them some some feeling up. Hey, you get to custom meat product. And besides that, he just build a better product because you know what many marketers do. Menu product, rangers, the store creating a product and then they go through copper writer. And then they ask him to figure out what people actually want. Don't do that mistake. Get people involved before he even built that product. Because if you really clear about what the problem is that you actually have to solve, you will automatically build a batter product, then optional. If you want to be a little bit more sales, you can actually include that. Moreover, you'll have the chance to get access to the training at the discounted prize weeks before the general public is allowed to buy and also throwing some exclusive content and bonuses that no announce will get that just my way of thinking you for the support and helping me to make a truly great product. You can't do that, actually, right. That's not mate. My favorite thing to say. But if you say that you can actually capture those people are not really interested in helping you bet. Maybe they just want to get some early bird discount what you can also do. There's also optional to make sure you don't have to wait too long. You'll get instant access to have free can be video e book I put together on. Then you explain the topic, right? So for example, I could say OK, I'm working on this new Facebook course. It will take some time. But in the meantime, I put together for your e book that will walk you through the 10 biggest mistakes that you should avoid on Facebook or a video on 10 Facebook marketing hacks that work in 2016. So actually can offer them some kind of free, be some kind of bribe to really opt in. And then last but not least, a call to action. Please help me spread the word about this project. I can't wait to begin this journey with you. 11. 11 Landing Page tools: The big question is, how do you actually build a landing page? First of all, I have great news. There is no coding involved. In fact, there are two great websites to great tools that will allow you to build a landing page very easily, and the landing page will not only be beautifully designed, you will create a landing page that actually converts. So my favorite resource is unbound unbalances, probably the most advanced, then for you solution to build a landing page. It can be a squeeze page in the in patriotism, a sales page. They have tons of templates. Its dragon drop. They have ways to a beat, has different landing pages and tons of other stuff. So this is probably the most advanced tool. The downside is that it's $99 a month, right? That's that's the price. The starting price. There are more expensive packages, but $99 is quite a bumper for for many people. But here's the thing, and you haven't heard that for me on Bones offers a free trial, so what you can do is to get their service and well, the free troll is 30 days long, so you can use their service virtually for free, and within those 30 days you can set up your campaigns, invest a little bit of money into ads and get first results, survey potential customers. And after those 30 days, we'll just cancel the package. I know it's tough, very ethical with. If you don't have much money to spend and you really want to work with and bounds, then they have a 30 day free trial. I just want to point that out. Many people do it, so I thought, Hey, why not mentioning it in this video? So un bones is highly recommend that super simple to use they also have tons of resource is that will work it through the process of building your converting landing page. They have a lot of two Terrell's that you should check out in any case, and it's really highly recommended resource used by top marketers in the industry. The second tool is called Elite pages. Probably heard about these guys. I think they've been one of the first in the marketplace and the mate building landing pages. Very simple, right? Very easy. So the Stink Center package stores a $25 a month. You can cancel all of these packages on a monthly basis who don't have to go for the annual subscription model and we'll need pages is similar to UN bounce. You cannot customize your landing pages, your squeeze pages assed much as you can with on bones, so the options with lead pages are a little bit limited. But it's a cape for in a basic test that you will run for very basic list building campaigns to survey a decent amount of customers. You don't have to have all the advanced features that unbound offers, so need pages is really simple to use. It's very intuitive again. Tons of two. Tyrell's even webinars on a regular basis that you can find here, which will walk you through the process of building a converting landing page. And it's pretty cool. And what I like in particular are the templates that the offer. So if you click on templates, let me show it to you very quickly. You can choose the template category, so we want to go for a up in the air for a launch page, right? So let's go for for up in and then you can sorted templates by newest first conversion rate popularity and price. So if you get one of their packages, you have access to all of these landing pages. All of these squeeze pages here. And if you don't want their subscription, you can still buy landing pages that you like individually, right, so you will have to customize them. But, hey, if if you're in decoding and if you know how building landing pages works, how hosting works and so on, then this is probably also a great idea just to to buy an individual landing page and then customize it so lead pages really great resource that we can also click and conversion rate , and we see the best converting squeeze pages that the pages has to offer. It's pretty cool. I like lead lead pages as well. So again, just check out and bones. Check out lead pages. Lead pages doesn't have a free trial. It's a little a little bit simpler to use them because a zai pointed out before the features are somewhat limited, which is killed if you're starting out. And if you're looking for a simple solution on bones is a little bit more advanced, which is cool if you really want to do some serious testing, Run some serious surveys and well, in terms of surprising is pretty expensive. But the 1st 30 days are free, so check out both resource is pick one and start building your landing page. 12. 12 Surveying your list subscribers: So once people joined your email list, the next step is to ask them specific questions about the product that you're planning now . There were two service that you consent. The first survey is this one here, and the 2nd 1 is optional. You can send it later down the road. It's not too must have. The second survey is really great if you want to understand your target audience a lot better if you really want to improve your product. And also if you start working on the sales copy for it, so you don't have to send that one. But the 1st 1 is really the bare minimum, so whatever the questions that you should actually ask them, the first survey consists of seven questions you can, ADM. Or you can leave some some out. You can add questions, however, make sure to keep it kind of short and straight to the point, because the more questions that you at, the fewer answers you will get. So if you want you to get more information from your target audience from the people who joined your list, I recommend to send them a second survey. So don't try to put everything into one. The first question I would ask them is, I'm planning a course on Topic, right? You have to name the topic. Marketing Facebook marketing, for example, Is there at least one situation you can identify yourself with so you can list at least three different situations? You can also include the option other, so the person it takes, the survey has the chance to specify the problem that he has situation. He's. And if none of these options applied, it's really important to ask that type of questions because you really want to understand the problem off your target audience, right? What, whether you're struggling with so in order to create a great product in order to offer a solution, you have to understand the problem first. And this question allows you to really pinpoint the problem so you can list three common situations, three problems that you know really apply and then include the fourth option, where they can specify whether it's running with. Would you like to learn more about this topic? Yes or no? Well, obviously, if somebody with the click note then you know there's probably not the right thing that the thing I should focus on, right? So if you would see a response rate of, like 80% you say who say No, your ideas. Sex. I do. When I learned more about this topic and with interest in this product, then probably should go for something else that the yes if somebody hits. Yes, it doesn't only have, um, research function so that you get feedback whether your idea is something that you should pursue. No, there is more to it. It creates some kind of commitment. That person Onda Geun that's marketing psychology, right? That person already committed to the topic. So if you offered to product to them where if you create the business that is sold ing one of the issues that your target audience has, they will not say I'm not interested in that because they already kind of committed to saying yes, even if they don't remember that, like even if you're released your product a month, two months or three months later, maybe even a year later or unconsciousness is very powerful. And there's lots of marketing studies about simple tricks like that. So the mere fact that they said yes and the survey created some pre strong commitment, so they will much more likely buy your product and be interested in what you have to say then. Third question. If yes, why would you like to learn more on the topic? Really important. Understand the motivation? Have you already started learning about this topic? Yes. No, also pretty interesting to understand. So you actually know how much knowledge that person already has. Right? Number five. If you could sit down and have coffee with me to discuss specific topic what would be the number? One question you would ask me on this topic, right? You can just entering empty field here and that gives people really the chance to verbalize their pain. Right? They will write a m this in that situation. This what I'm struggling with? Please help me. What can I do? Really great question. And you will see a really high response. Brilliant. That one Number six in your old words. What should the course cover to make it truly valuable for you? What would you like to learn in particular again? You can enter an empty field theory, give the person taking the servitude, write down what he has to say and well, first of all, you can make sure to include things that your target organs really wants so you can learn from them. What what makes a product really great for them. But besides that, you create the feeling of Hey, I got you involved, Listened Teoh, to your advice. Please tell me, how can I make a great product? You know what you want. So how can I deliver that to you? Is a really important message that it's included in this sixth question and number seven, Are you interested in one on one coaching via video calls, for example, or just one on one? Coaching is in general if you have a product that it's a digital product, for example, or a book, and you have the capacity to solve the problem in a personal coaching, people are interested. You might consider including some you know, personal coach ings offered them. You can include them into your sales funnel or just have them listed on your website, for example, and just add an additional income channel to your business. So that's about the first servi serving number two. This is an optional one. How would you describe your skills? Begin their intermediate expert. So you're clear about the content level like you have to produce. My goal for learning particular skill, for example, is being able to what is the desired outcome. This is really important for crafting a great copy, because once you understand what kind of transformation your target audience wants to see, you just created bather product number three. After taking this course, I feel satisfied if I am able to 1 to 3 right. What results this your prospect. Want to see? Then before what have you been missing? An existing courses, article, books or to Terrell's? Help me making a great product. So if you do online courses or or even if you want to do a physical product, try to understand why your competition sex, right? So you can just create a better product, position it differently and also in the sales copy. Just point out later down the road why your product is better. For example, if you plan to do a course on Microsoft, Axel and your prospects would complain that all the courses they're very theoretical, there's no practical information, then you can first will make a product that's really practical, maybe even leaving out all the theory, because that's clearly something your target audience doesn't want to have included in the product. And also position that that strength of few product, which is the weakness of your competition in your sales message So you can say, Hey, if you want to have a 100% practical hands on course with no theory it all and this is the perfect product so you can make it better product, and you can also sail it better and number five. Can you name your favorite resource for learning about the topic? So far, This is pretty interesting. If you want to write the copy or well, just maybe include some resource is and your product. If you be a digital product, for example, pretty pretty cool. So again, the second service optional, you don't have to send it to your list. I just included it here the first service and must have seven questions again. You can leave some of them out. You can add questions. Don't keep it along. These are the questions that I would ask and that we just have to figure out what tool to use to actually deliver those questions. That survey to the people who joined your list, and this is something we will do in the next video. 13. 13 Surveying Tools: this is going to be a short video, but I want you point out a really great tool that I love to use. Its called SURVEYMONKEY survey monkey dot com and, well, you can sign up for free, create surveys, get answers. It's a really basic and great tool to really deliver the survey that you put together to your target audience to the people who joined your list. And it also has some nice analytical dashboards. He can really track answers. See the survey response rate and so much more. If you're looking for a great tool than I can highly recommend surveymonkey, sign up, create your survey and both. You're one step closer to get Aton of feedback from your target audience about the product that you're planning, go ahead and take action out. 14. 14 Craft a convert Email autoresponder: perfect. Now we have to deliver the survey to your email subscribers. And the best way to do that is to set up an automated auto responders. Siri's You will send three emails and hey, already wrote them for you. So let me walk you through those three emails very quickly. On the first stand on Lee, if you decide to deliver a freebie right on the first day, you will sent this email subject. Here's your gift. One of two. Hey, then you can enter the name of the prospect or just great the rule. If you capture the name during the opt in, process off that particular prospect. Thank you for requesting Can enter the title of the freebie. Right. My e book. Whatever. You can download it by clicking on the following link. Please let me know if there is anything else they can do for you. Cheers. Thin Andrew. And they PS Did you already check of the other email is sent to your inbox title. Can you help me, please Make sure to read it because I really need your support. So here basically delivered a freebie. But then you point out that they should check a second email that you already sent to them , which includes and contains the survey. So, the second email that goes out simultaneously as a subject, can you help me? Then again, you start with the name. Hey, name my name is he have to enter in a Patrick. So introduce himself again. And I'd like to take a second to say hello and welcome you to the family. So welcome that, Subscriber. Thank you for joining this list. As you might know, I'm looking for to launch a brand new product and I'm truly excited. You decided you join me on this journey Serene forced the commitment that that person made right? Tell him. Hey, you joined this list because he wanted to help me. So forgot. Seek Help me. Now You promise that over the past months, hundreds of people have been asking me to teach in a particular topic. Just restate. But you already covered because it's a field. I gathered lots of knowledge and expertise and can actually even list a few examples here, for example, because you worked with a very big client or because I don't know you want a photography contest just try to provide some social proofs and proof about the expertise I decided to put together course on this topic last Monday, but I need your help to really ask people for their help. This is a really powerful phrase. Seriously, it's it's also bald on purpose. But I need your help, these words of super powerful I'm currently working on the outline and want to build a truly great course before I start putting it together. Though I'd love to hear from me about specific problems and challenges you're facing. So restate again what you said in the video. Your feedback means the world to me. And that's why I would like you to be part off the product creation. I believe that the more close lake and tailor to product you that exact needs you describe , the more valuable it will be for you. Sounds fair. Good. Here's how it works. Please click on the following link and complete in very short servi. I promise that it would take longer than 1 to 2 minutes to provide some quick feedback on a particular topic. So you basically restate what you set Already in the video, you restate the motivation Why you were actually sending a survey to them. And you include a clear call to action. So tell them how it works, and you tell them specifically please click on this link. Thanks for help. Stay tuned. Talk suit. Then just enter a name. And this is really powerful because you're asking something from your your prose back, right? You want them to complete a desired action. So in order to give back, here's what you get you and also to create some excitement. Tomorrow I'll share with you an exclusive video that I recorded just for the people who joined this list. And the meantime, please make sure to complete the survey. So you create some kind of relationship here, right between you complete the survey and hate, you will actually get some pretty cool stuff that nobody else gets. With their work exclusive, you create some scarce that you make it more valuable, and our other than that, you just create some excitement. People will check out the 13 on that you sent and you give them one more reason to complete the survey. Right? If you don't want to do that, just leave that out Or if you want to deliver an e book and not a video, Hey is totally up to you. But delivering some sort of exclusive content is really great idea. So the in this the second day, you actually deliver the video of the content that you promised. Right? If you start with your gift to off to and then hate name, you entered the name of that person as a promised in yesterday's email. I wanted to share with the a piece of information that is only available because he joined this list. So also really important with that sentence, you actually increase the long term open rate off. Your email is because Hugh deliver value, right? You're not only asking for information, for example, you not only asking to complete the survey and then you will pitch those people again once a product is ready. No, you trained them to open your emails, and you trained them to expect value and informational from here. So they're kind of programmed, which sounds kind of stupid, but that's the way it is. You kind of program. Those people, your prospect that Hey, here's somebody who sends me information on a regular basis. That's valuable. They've done it once, twice, and I'm sure they will do it 1/3 4th and fifth time. So it makes sense to check my in box for emails that I'm getting from a particular Brent really powerful stuff. Then you say This is my way of saying thank you for your support to create a great training that will impact your life. So again you restate. Hey, I'm creating the product for you here in this. So you deliver the free information of freaks clues of content just by placing a link, for example. And then this is also really powerful phrase. Also, I like to think the hundreds of people who already provided Aton valuable feedback on the course I'm currently working on here. It's a course. It can be a product. Whatever you do, the business you're planning. For example, I was seriously overwhelmed by the response rate. You guys are amazing. So for those who didn't complete the survey yet, you actually apply some, well, some kind of pressure. You tell them Hey, they have bean hundreds of people who completed the survey already. There's a strong social proof, even if only five people completed it. I think it's OK if you lie here a little bit. So you really want to give people the impression they a part of something and well, it's just strong social proof. You not only begging them to really check of the serving case. They haven't done it yet. You tell him. Hey, thank you. Tons of other people of dammit! Thank you so much for for this amazing response rate, I was really overwhelmed. Then you continue with in case you didn't find the time that you provide some feedback. I really appreciate your Inp itude. Please click on the following link that before you threw the survey So again you include a link to to the survey and those people haven't completed that yet. Will most likely do so. It literally takes only a minute to complete it. Thank you for your support. Cheers. And then you just write them your name. So it's a very simple three part emailed serious, and it will allow you to get to really high response rate on your survey. So if you have a freebie delivered that one then simultaneously use send out the second email. Actually and you ask them to complete the survey. And the day after, it's the 30 molecular sent. Ask your prospective people who joined your list to complete the survey in case they didn't completed yet. 15. 15 Driving FB traffic to landing page: great. By that point, you should have everything in place, your landing page, the survey and the email auto responders sequence. And now it will become really interesting because we will drive paid Facebook traffic to your landing page to your squeeze page. Give your product the business you're working on more exposure and the best way to do that . IHS setting up in number of Facebook ATS So Facebook traffic is just great. And it's probably one of the best traffic sources to get feedback from potential clients and also to built your list for an upcoming product conscious. So the big question is, how do you do that? Probably remember that in the first section we already worked on creating a customer avatar . Write something like this. So you really have to have something like that in place by now because based on that customer avatar, based on the data that we extracted from Facebook, we will create our abs and drive some pay traffic to the squeeze page. So how do you get started? The first step is to log in into her Facebook ants manager and to start the at creation process, you have to click in this green button here create at the first step of the campaign creation is to select an objective. What do you want to accomplish? Do you want to boost your posts, promote your page, send people to your website or increase conversions on your website? Or maybe just get video views? Well, we want to see conversions. We want to drives unpaid traffic. Just squeeze page so we don't want to promote a fan. Peter. Give a post more exposure. The objective that you should select this increase conversions on your website, then enter the U. R L off your landing page, right? Just copy. Paste it. Let's go here for at Baker. So just enter the lending Petri l. If you have a conversion pixel in place than just selected, otherwise you should really consider setting one up. It's pretty easy to do if you haven't set up one yet, then you will find your some detail instructions on how to do it. So it's basically just a pixel code that you place on the thank you page from the page right after the opt in. This will allow you to trek conversions and give Facebook the opportunity to optimize your ads automatically for best results. If you were, then click on set audience and budget. Great, let's move on. The big question is, who do you want your adds to your reach? We have to specify were target audience. So let's get started with this action. Your location, right? Let's take a look at the customer avatar. United States. I want to go for the United States. So let's just entered United States here. Perfect something that's really important in case you want to reach out to multiple countries. Let's say the United States, Canada and United Kingdom. I don't recommend you put all of the all countries into one campaign. I would set up separate campaigns because there are significant differences between each and every country in terms of the demographic structure and in terms of what ants work and what ATS don't work at all. So if there are multiple countries, you want to reach out to great separate campaigns. H well, no guests working here. Let's take a look at their customer avatar, ages 25 to 44. Let's enter it that year. 25 44. Great then gender men, women on Lee or both. Well, we see that the female audience accounts for 56% of the male audience for 44%. If there would be a significant difference, let's say the female audience but account for 80% of the male audience for 20%. You should consider a split testing. Um, you know your campaign creating and adds that reaching out to the male audience only and creating one adds that reaching out to the female audience only in this case there is not a really big difference. So I'll reach out to both genders in case you're creating a product that is spirit towards a very specific group of people. For example, on Lee, the female audience because you do a you A course for women or a dating app. Four men well, then just select the male audience or female audience. Onley totally depends on the product languages. I don't recommend specifying that. So if you reach out to the United States or Germany, for example, I wouldn't end for the United States or Germany here that that's a field for some more advanced campaigns. Really, totally forget about it. Just leave that blank. The data targeting a Z, you can see there's demographics, interest behaviors and war categories. Let's forget about behaviors and more categories for a moment. Let's just focus in demographics and interests. Let's get started with the interest section. So, um, if you take a closer look at this section here, I put together all the competitors and the top pages that the audience off my competitors is interested in. Right so you can write them down and then just enter your competitors here, just just the pages. The interests that you identified it's really Azizi is that most people serve guests working. Don't do that. Just really target your competitors and the pages the audience of your competitors are interested in. It's a simple is that so? Let's just enter a few. Let's go for Amy Porterfield, Jon Loomer and, Yeah, very Smith, for example. Okay, those are three competitors now. Really important. That's the interests that we're going for than their arm or demographics, right? Just just as I show you, and it's really important to understand the following Let's hit, browse and let's check with more demographics. You're the options that you have. Education, ethnic affinity, financials, generation home life events, parents, politics, relationship work. This is ring a bell. Let's take a look at the customer avatar job title work, right? We know whether or target audience does for a living relationship status. We also have information on that educational level for a set education. We have information on that income. Financials. We have information of that. How great is that? Right? So we already put together some data about or target audience, and we can use that they they here to select no more demographic information. Now here's what's really important. I would just use that information later down the road, right? So first of all, I would just create this simple at the simple campaign. See how things go. And then, in the second optimization step, I would go for Well, maybe just the folks who earn more than $200,000 or the ones who have been to Kratz Girl or the ones who are single or married, or the ones who work in management and then just see if I can get better result. Right? So that's about split testing. I wouldn't do that at the beginning, Generally speaking, unless there's a reason why you want to go for the grad school Facebook users only, or the ones who married, or the ones who are in management or the ones who earned really an awful amount of money. Well, if you create a product that falls within one of these filters, for example, bathing is just a perfect example, right? You want to create you created the dating app or you want to work on a dating app and you're thinking, Hey, how can they serve you all the single man out there and ask them if my idea is great, something I should pursue? Well, then you should definitely go for the single Facebook users right off the bat. Or let's say I don't know you working on some study books for grad school students. Well, then it definitely makes sense to go for the Facebook users who are happen to to grad school, right? Hope that makes sense. So, generally speaking, start off with interest and demographics. Well, unless there is not a specific reason that kind of forces you to go for a very specific demographic than please use those used that information that you determined in the second step. When you optimize your abs, your campaigns hope that makes it 16. 16 Driving FB traffic to landing page part 2: great. By that point, you should have everything in place, your landing page, the survey and the email auto responders sequence.
