About This Class

In this class, we go through a Lightroom edit of a shot of the Houses of Parliament in London, England.

Such an iconic and recognisable building means that shots need to be properly aligned with all the verticals straight, so we sort out the problems with the original shot by fixing the perspective, before going through a detailed tutorial on how to select complex areas like sky and then the buildings themselves and apply tonal changes to each.

So come on in - anyone can do this, and the techniques I show you can be applied to your own images very easily, even if you are editing in another application other than Lightroom.  You don't need PhotoShop to be able to produce great looking images!

Here's the before and after:

Really interesting to see how complicated skies can be selected and effects applied, as well as straightening the buildings. Well worth a watch.
