About This Class

Your Christmas tree is up and it's time to decorate. Yet all you can find is the same old balls, dolls, gingerbread men... Why can't you have something different this year? Wouldn't it be great if you could just draw something and it would appear on the tree as if by magic? Well, actually you can! In about 20 mins, this class will teach you how to turn your sketch into a real-life object even if you know nothing about 3D printing, don't have any special software or time to learn. I will show you how to do the whole process yourself with the help of an online 3D printing service, no extra software needed.

As well as being a nice trick to make your Christmas tree happy, this class is a general introduction to 3D printing and will show you how essentially any one of your sketches or doodles can be turned into a 3D object with little to no special extra knowledge or skill. All you need is something to doodle on and with, a camera and a computer. If you were ever curious about 3D printing, this is a great time to try it out, with a great excuse!
