Artist and Illustrator

Hello, I'm Madonna! I am a Filipina Artist and Illustrator, a happy full-time Mom of one, and a walking wanderer based in Florida.  My big love for nature helps me to be creative in every way. I love to try to explore different kinds of media like watercolor, gouache, and pen. Most of my work is traditional so don't underestimate the power of your hands.

When I do not paint, you can find me in my garden digging sweet potatoes, or filming for my Youtube drawing channel. I really do believe that being passionate about art takes a lot of patience, effort, time, and allowing yourself to grow in your craft. If you are looking for support and a community that will help you inspired and bring the positive joy of learning, you are in the right place... See full profile

1. Intro: Hello everybody, My name's Madonna, monotonous Illustrator. Welcome to the class of summary, throwing ideas, create your own coloring page. In this class, I'm going to show you how easy it is to make your very own coloring page from start to finish. And I'm going to walk you through a simple materials, how to gather your inspirations. And by the end of this class, you will make a project like this coloring page two can apply on your own style and use the methods that you learned to come up with coloring pages ideas in the future. This class is for beginners and anyone who loved to digital or draw a simple line drawings and coloring pages. So what are you waiting for? Enroll now and let's get started. 2. Project: For the class project, you can make your very own coloring page for summer or in a season that you like. Feel free to use whatever ideas or any ideas that you can come up with and available tools that you already have. 3. Tools and Materials: Hi and welcome again to the glass. Here are the tools and materials that I'm going to use. So let's go to paper. If for example, you want to smooth paper, you can use Bristol paper. This is a nine by 12 paper. And it's really good for making coloring pages. But if it's not available to you, you can use this to Coleman printer paper or a copy paper that will do also. And if you don't like to draw directly on the paper, you can use pencil first. And I'm going to use a micro pan. Fine liners are really great for coloring pages and you can use also sharpie markers for coloring crayons if you have any, I'm going to make the marker shopping workers in the prismacolor is for coloring. And if you live to use thicker paper or watercolor paper, I highly recommend they use at least 200 to 300 GSM for the thickness of the paper. If you're going to use watercolors or a guage, those are water-based media to try to color. But if for example, you use copy paper, I highly recommend you use mostly dry medium or media. So now that our tools and materials are ready, let's go to the next video and I'm going to show you some tips on how to gather your inspiration. 6. Drawing your elements: So let's get to throwing or total now. So I'm just going to draw a random objects are subjects around the summer lettering. How about some lemons? Yes, This is just super simple line art to worry about the details so much. And I'll make sure when you draw, you make an AS space or shape for I didn't call ours the layer. Now you can draw to sunflowers or any flowers that grows in summer season. So it is very high. Then list all, add some shades, are sung. The law says, think about hads or even put a sunscreen too wet if you like. How about some sea shells? You don't have to be this super realistic here. You can always play around with the shape and size. How about some lemony means? When ice cubes, anything that can go into town during the summer. And you can also play around with a friend, kid things or ideas. If that's your style, you can use your style and growing. And this coloring page. So think about cactus or a secular glands. They ran, it looks super cute, enjoying summer in. You can add some flowers on top of them if you'd like to. You can assign different elements, like objects that create heat if you like. Or even some tropical leaves, fruits are animals do if you like. Any ideas that you want to incorporate for summer season, you could also list down some subtracts ahead of time. So you will always have ideas. Find a while yard trolling. And if you will like to use pencil, feel free to use, especially if you want to be precise and if you're not that confident. And yet with drawing with Ben directly, I'm just going to add it depends on you. If you wanted more crowded or allotment, more space to each object or a subject that you've been trolling. So here right now, I scatter some seashells. Are only table to gather, sound inspirational and while I'm doodling are growing. So I decided to use small and throwing around. So this summer word will win against time out. And you can add so many elements as shrew-like, be playful with your subjects that you choose and think about or what you would like to wear. And some are like slippers. You can even put SON you feel like or any foods. And lastly, I'm going to add some flowers in the summer lottery is a very optional. You can leave them as is, or you can also design a little bit. Okay. 7. Coloring the page and Thank you: And now that we're done with drawing or doodling with some ideas and into looking like a coloring page now, it's time to color. So I'm just going to use a sharpie worker and color pencils for coloring. And you have all the freedom to use whatever favorite colors for our supplies that you have. And this is my personal preference. If you like to use the same colors, so as mine, you can to use whatever major you have, you can create a great coloring with markers and bone cells alone. So the right now, I'm just going to really add some base colors for our depth first layers and then later or say go, I might add some more layers on top. This really super relaxing and therapeutic. Feel free to listen to my podcast music while you're coloring. I do not recommend to use watercolors if you are using printer paper. But if you draw our doodle, you're coloring page in a thicker paper, Bliss, give it a go. You can also assign around to the areas that you didn't know. Draw you can use a sharpie directly to our designs and try to make it simple. But if you opt for a more realistic color in the sky, as delimit, I include coloring pencils to add some textures and additional color on top of the workers to have that texture effect. And since it's somewhere, I just summer hot colors are pellet, which is to call her summer. And you can use any mixtures of colors or choices, palettes that you like. You can make it color if you want to. It is really up to you. So I'm just going to spin this up so you can see my process of coloring it. So for the class project, you can create your very own coloring page, our own esteem, our choice and theme for summer, for example. And you can upload your project for the class. So thank you so much for watching my class and I hope you enjoy creating lettering and doodling with a coloring page today. At same time, you can also watch me draw my YouTube tunnel and happy drawing doodling and have a nice day. Hi. Today. Okay. Sorry.
