About This Class

In this course, we give a basic introduction to drawing and start off with drawing lines and some objects using lines. Kids will be learning to draw horizontal, vertical, and slanting lines and by the end of the course, they will be given an assignment to use the concepts to draw real-life objects.

1. Introduction To My Courses: Hi. Welcome to the drawing course. My name is Abby, and I will be your instructor for this course. We will be starting from as simple as basic shapes and lines to drawing birds and animals and also some funny cartoon faces. If you're watching this on TV or laptop or tablet, make sure you have enough space to keep your art surprised and for yourself, find a comfortable place to start drawing and bring with you a lot of imagination and enthusiasm, along with other materials that were discussed in the next week. And I want you to enjoy the process of drawing. Don't worry much about the outcome as you start. Just have fun creating your very own piece of art. And I know you cannot wait to get started, and I'm as excited, so I will see you soon in the next one 2. Materials Required: Hello, kids. Welcome back in this video, we'll see. What are the materials? You will need to complete this course. I have them all here first. You need a hedge, B pencil, any racer, a shop owner and a ruler. You could use long or short. Anything is fine. Then you need something to draw on. You can either use a sketchbook like this or some papers. If you use a sketchbook, it's veteran. If you prefer using paper, I recommend you store them in a file so that he wouldn't lose them. Then you need some colored pencils. I'm using the favor. Castell colored pencils. But you could use whichever plan that you might already have. And finally, you need a black pen. I'm using a micron pen, but you could use from a sketch or a marker off your choice. All right. Many already with all these materials, let's begin with our first exercise as you There 3. What You Will Learn: Hello kids in the scores, we're going to learn some basics about drawing different types off lines on different types of straight lines. They're also going to use these lines to draw some real life objects and at the end of this course will be having an assignment. This is the part one off this course, and in the subsequent courses you will be learning the rest off the sections. So let's first get started with the basics. 4. Intro to Drawing: Welcome to your first lesson. I hope you have all the materials needed to complete the course. No, I have drawn this butterfly on the paper. Can you tell how I do it right? By drawing lines with my pencil? All these alliance there are basically two types off lines, straight lines and code fines like this. All of this all slanting. These are straight lines. The last one is not so straight. And it's not a straight line. These are curved lines which are bent or Wrigley. In our butterfly, we have mostly curb lines. Do you see any straight lines here? Right. The antenna. They're straight lines. Do you know? Forward with Butterfly uses the antenna. It is used for the sense of smell and balance. Is that interesting? There is another interesting fact. They taste with their feet like all we taste with our tongue. All right. In the next lesson, we will learn about the different types of straight lines. I look forward to seeing you there 5. Horizontal and Vertical Lines: Hello, kids, Welcome back to the next lesson in this lesson. We're going to learn Don't types of straight lines. Now grab a pencil paper and rather and let's get started. No drawing on line at the centre, using a ruler to divide the page into two hops and two more lines at the top and bottom first, I'm going to teach you how to draw a horizontal lines. These are also called sleeping lines. I'm going to draw straight lines from left to right. I'm going to draw straight lines from left to right all the weight of the edge of the paper . Can you do it, too? You don't have to use a ruler. Just draw the lines as straight as you can. If it does not look straight, it's OK. Try to draw the next line Street. Likewise, let's complete the first half of the people with horizontal lines trying to draw each line as straight as possible. So what are these lines? God, Horizontal lines or sleeping lines? All right. The next type of straight lines are the were tickled lines. They're also called standing lines simply because they look like they're standing and going to draw them from top to bottom. They are vertical lines or standing lines. Now look around you and see if you can find out anything that has only horizontal and vertical lines. Did you find them? But I'm going to show you an example. It's a window. Do you see the horizontal and vertical lines there? Awesome. Now let's draw the window. But just do you starting and sleeping lines. Draw with me. Now. Use the black pen or your marker to draw the outline off this window. Did you try the window? Great. In the next lesson, I'm gonna teach you another type off straight line. I'll see you there. 6. Slanting Lines: Hi. Welcome back in those. Listen, we're going to learn another type of straight lines. They are slanting lines. These lines are neighbor horizontal or vertical. They're kind of in between. Slanting lines can be drawn into these. First, we're going to draw here, starting from dared top to bottom. Slanting, slanting. We're going to draw it all the way till here. Try to draw them street with our events. If it doesn't look straight, no problem. Try to draw the next line Street. - Great . If you need to sharpen your pencil, go ahead and shopping it whenever you want. It's always important to you. Sharp pencils. We started from the left top corner and work till the bottom Right on the second half, The people were going to start from the left side bottom and work our way towards the top right corner. Let's get started again. The lines has to be slanting. - Awesome . Can you think of anything that can be John using slanting lines? Try to think or look around you and find out some objects. Did you find here is an example for you? A y, um ish. It can be used as a friends or a gate or it can be used in a zoo s. Well, shall we try to draw a mesh gate? Now? This is a wide mesh. Let's draw a cream. No. Use a black pen to draw over it. - Great . We have completed congratulations. You have completed the first chapter in the next chapter of your going to study about shapes. You have to draw some objects using the lines that we learned you could use horizontal lines, vertical lines, planting lines or a combination off these. You can pause the video and try to draw some objects using lines. Look around you and find out what you can draw. And in the next video, I have done an example for you. You can upload your drawing with the help of your parents as project in skill share. 8. Assignment Solution: I hope you were able to draw some pictures using lines in this video. I'm going to show the example that I have done for you. I have drawn a house. Can you see the horizontal and vertical lines? And can you identify the slanting lines as well? Great.
