Stephen Cruz

Digital Design/Concepting/Illustrating/3D

I have been Involved with art and design most of my adult life. As a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Architecture I gained a background in design that enabled me to pursue a career as an designer and illustrator. After working in architectural offices for 5 years I diversified into the entertainment business working on theme park projects for Landmark Entertainment and Walt Disney Imagineering. After several years in theme parks I branched out as a freelandce set designer/ Illustrator, working for scenic shops such as Lexington Scenery and Cinnabar, often collaborating with art directors working on commercials and music videos. I started doing design as a production illustrator working on film projects and television, doing conceptual art and storyboards. Along the way I have become conversant in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Maya. In the last 7 years I have become acquainted with Zbrush and have been a user ever since. I look forward to learning as much as I can about this powerful tool and hope to incorporate it further into my art career.
