Project Description

Share your design system wishlist.

Follow along with Dan's design system wishlist exercise and share it in the Project Gallery. Let us know what surprised you the most, and what you're most excited to transfer off your plate with a design system in place! For a quick refresher, here are the steps of the exercise:

  1. Get a plain piece of paper, and fold it longwise down the center.
  2. On the left side, write down everything you did for the last project you completed, down to the last button you designed.
  3. On the right side, write down everything you wanted to do, but didn't have time for.
  4. Back on the left side, circle all of the things that could be designed in advance as part of a design system (buttons, forms, and menus are a great place for this, as well as decisions around type & color).
  5. Finally, draw a line from each circled item on the left side to a wishlist item on the right side that you could have completed, if you didn't have to do the boring task.
