Project Description

Creating A Digital Artwork Image in 10 minutes and sharing it, No Drawing Skills Required

We will learn how to use ArtRage, my favorite $4.99 iPad or $49.90 Desktop application to build a digital design. This project is is basically a series of shapes created by a series of lines that are filled with your choice of color or gradient fill. I find these images can be very pleasing.

This project is a series of shapes colored with the paint bucket fill tool. The shapes are created by a series of wavy lines crossing each other.

These images remind me of the look of stained glass, hence I call them "stained glass like images".

But once you have created this project you just might want to play with the program a little more to create some different images.

Stay tuned for my next class which will offer some intruction on more advanced features of ArtRage and how to include a tracing image of your favorite photo and a reference image to view as you create something similar using the ArtRage tools.

Concepts introduce for this project:

  • Oil Brush
  • Water Color Brush
  • Pallet Knife
  • Air Brush
  • Ink Pen
  • Pencil
  • Paint Roller
  • Felt Tip Marker
  • Pastel
  • Erasor
  • Paint Bucket Tool
  • Sizing your image to print clearly
  • Exporting your final project to a jpeg file

There are several other tools which are not covered in this simple introductory course.

I hope you will enroll and find some value in this course.
