1. Introduction: angry Jeffries here and thanks so much. We're checking out this page in this course on how to develop a simple daily routine for yourself. This is especially helpful for people that are solo entrepreneurs are working at home, people that are working for themselves. This is something that I, um I wish I would have had a couple of years ago. I tried to work at home for myself a couple of years ago, and it just didn't work out because I didn't have a simple daily routine to stick to to keep me focused. And so as a result, And so since I had all of my time every single day, I fell into the rut of basically sleeping in late and not being very focused or excited or energetic about the things I was working on when they would actually try to work on stuff. And it basically just killed off about, you know, 3 to 6 months of my life not being very productive because it didn't have a plan to begin with. So So in this lecture, I'm going to give you a simple system to stick to to kind of first figure out what things you should be focusing on in your life. You're in your business based on your goals and where you want to be. And then what? You figure out those things, we're gonna give you a simple plan to create a daily routine for yourself so that you can have a clear and focus plan t stick to on a daily basis so you can stay on track with your life and your business goals. So I'm really excited to share this information with you, and I look forward to seeing you in the next lecture. 2. Developing A Daily Routine For Solo Entrepreneurs: all right in this video. I want to talk about developing an effective daily routine for yourself, especially if you are a solo entrepreneur if you're at home or maybe in an office by yourself. But you're either a one man team or a small, a small team of people, and you are responsible for keeping your cellphone track. And, you know, you know, staying focused. I know that's very challenging. Ah, lot of people may think that when they're working for their self, it's going to be easier. But it's actually quite challenging because you have to kind of create your own schedule and create boundaries for yourself on day help, keep yourself focused and kind of create that separation between work and play yourself, since you aren't, you know, usually since you aren't actually going to a job like a normal 9 to 5. So this is super important because it's very easy to get distracted since all you have all day and no one to really hold you accountable except yourself. Or, you know, it's always a good idea to make make friends to hold you accountable. Or, if you have other silly entrepreneurs, friends that even kind of team up with that kind of help, help hold you accountable and maybe create a mastermind. You could do that, but if you're just starting out, you're probably going to be responsible for holding yourself accountable. So you need to have a routine that you can stick to. It's going to be simple enough for you to be able to do every day and not get distracted so you can make sure to get those tests done before you say yes to other other things that you may come your way. So one great book to check out to help you with this is called The Miracle Morning. So really, the summary of this book it's a very short read, but basically a summary is basically to wake up two hours early and focus on test to improve yourself. And this is kind of written an angle are the written to people that already have a 9 to 5 job, you know, So if you don't already have some passive income coming in or you know income, whether it be as active or passive income that's coming in, that's amore than what you're making it. Your 9 to 5. You don't really need to start working for yourself. It's not a great idea to do that just because you're going to be having to work really, really hard. And it's it's always better to have some sort of a cash cushion, their cash flow cushion to kind of take care of you when you're first getting started. So this is you know, you could definitely you improve yourself and, you know, start to chip away at your some of your goals in your life just by working, waking up a little bit early each day. And then, you know, once you once you get to the point where you're making enough to weaken, you say goodbye to your 9 to 5 and you can continue doing this. But then on your own time. So you know, if you if you still have a 9 to 5, you can still be successful in a you know, prove yourself by just waking up a little bit early. So that's kind of the just in this book. But if you get in the context of working for yourself, just work, wake up a little bit earlier than you planned and work on yourself before you get started on your kind of daily task daily routines. But I sort of build this into my schedule in the morning. So that's why I'm sharing this with you. This is gonna have a kickstart my date, and then I go into the other task that they need to get done for my life in my business. But I love this quote by Jim Rohn, who was actually Tony Robbins mentor. It says, Learn to work harder on yourself. Then you do on your job. If you work hard on your job, you'll make a living. If you work hard on yourself, you can make a fortune. So that's a really good quote. And just to kind of dive into some ideas that for your daily routine that are given in the miracle Warren. This is kind of his how l rods what he does with his miracle morning, and he calls it the savers. So if you get the S A V e. R s so silence, affirmations, visualization, exercise, reading, inscribing says silence. That could be like prayer meditations, affirmations. You just kind of speak positive. Ah, words into your life to kind of help you achieve your goals, speak to your goals and dreams and stuff. Visualization. That's kind of like, you know, if you have a vision board, you can focus on those things that you want to accomplish throughout the day of the month or the that year. Exercise. This can be full of exercise. I just do some light exercise just to kind of get my body going in the morning. Just maybe a couple push ups, some jumping jacks just to kind of get moving to kind of wake of bringing up reading. I choose to do this in the evening, but readings. You know, I'm a little bit sleepy in the morning, so I just try to watch like a positive video in the morning and then read in the evenings, inscribing you can just right out your daily goals. But, um, you know, for me, I've already have this planned out so I can have no what I'm going to focus on. But you know, you can maybe kind of further embed those things into your mind. You can write out those goals or write out Sure, you know your visualization goals and dreams you could do that. They're as well. But those are just a couple of ideas. If you're kind of wondering Hey, Well, what did I do with this? You know, block of one hour, two hours time. There's a couple of ideas. So, you know, having your miracle morning is great. But you know what? If you don't know exactly what to focus on because there's nothing worse than, you know working, waking up a little bit early and you have good intentions to focus on things. But you don't have really a clear, clear focus goes to focus on, you know, it's very hard for me to get motivated if I don't have a precise and focus gold for me to, you know, clearly focus on and focus my attention on. So you need to prepare so that you can have clear focus goals of when you, ah, wake up, make the efforts to wake up earlier and focus on those things. Then you can kind of, you know, attack them with all of your energy. And one of another book that is great to check out is called the one thing. So I would read the miracle warning and the one thing that one thing is gonna help you focus on that one thing in your life That's the most important goal for you to focus on. There's a lot of things that we want to do. If you're anything like me, I get kind of a d d and distracted, and I've got all these different projects. But for my my daily routine, I try to focus on nearer, narrow things down to about 2 to 3 Simple, you know, big goals that Aiken slowly chip away at each day. Just cause I would like to have some variety off, just working on one thing. I would probably get a little bit bored, but so I just block out time to work on Teoh about two, 23 things that I can work at every single day just a little bit. Andi just, you know, work on those two or three things just to kind of build a little bit of variety in my life . And then I make sure that I do those things every single, most every single day, or at least Monday through Friday, or for you, you know, whatever you're schedule allows, so I would read the one thing, and then I read the Miracle morning and then just pick one or two big goals that they're really important. Teoh you And you know, if you sell the 9 to 5 you know may just be one thing that you can do every single day, they get you closer to working for yourself. If you're already working for yourself, then wonder the you know to to or so things that you can do every single day it It's going to move the dial just a tiny bit in your business and your income and kind of, you know, increase that that passive income of the active income that you have a little bit each week , a little bit each month. What's that one thing that you can work on? Because I know everybody wants instant money, but a lot of the things that we that produced results our life. It test takes some effort. So what's the thing that you can work on a little bit each day that eventually, you know, over a couple of weeks or a couple of months, that that thing is going to turn into a passive recurring income stream figure out what those things are and these are just really short. Easy reads their vory Very good how to recommend him. So those are two books I recommend. This is an example of my daily routine just to kind of give you what I dio. Just, you know, if your can of solo entrepreneur only marketer I start my day with the miracle morning, I just kind of pray and meditate and to, um, while I'm doing that I have I have audio some headphones on and listen to something called brain dot FM. Uh, I'm not. I got like, a one time lifetime account for that, but I think it's only a couple bucks a month or a couple of 60 years something so it just kind of play some meditation music in the background. Then I usually listen to, like a positive audio or YouTube video to kind of kick start my date, and they just do some light exercise and drink a full glass of water that kind of get my brain and my body going before I start to work on my tasks and a Sfar as the things I do for my business, I work on a cycle. I am sourced out organists the website that it building up kind of increasing the traffic each week. So I work on that. And so I have a little system that I I'm working on to scale that website every single day . I publish a, uh, a new skill share course or a an online course. Oh, our video. But usually, of course, go to the gym. I'll produce a video reviews again to greet some passive income for myself, for different affiliate products and services and promoting I read in the evenings and then with this, You know, I don't want to stack too many things in my day because it's, you know, there's always gonna be the unforeseen things they're gonna come into your life, and you're going to have to make arrangements to do those things. You know, whether it be like car repairs, or I don't have ah, family or kids. But if I had kids, you know, may have to pick them up for some reason, and you have Teoh, you'd be able to adapt and build us things into your life. So I try to just have a handful of things that I need to get done in a day, and that allows me to be able to Sprinkle in other things throughout the day. But these are the things that I have to get done, and I try to keep those down very simple. You know, Jim's very important readings, very important, and I've got a couple things I do for myself and then the miracle morning. Just a kind of get me focused and help start my day. So this is This is an example of my daily routine to kind of give you some sort of ah framework to maybe giving you an actual example of what's what I'm doing, what's working for me. So hopefully that gives you a simple plan and direction for creating an effective daily routine for yourself. So you can say focused and be productive while working for yourself, because I know, like I said, it's very, very easy to get distracted and basically just to kind of fall into a rut of not doing anything. I've tried this a couple of years before, and I thought I was gonna be super productive, but I didn't have a plan, and so I found myself sleeping in late on. Bring very sluggish throughout the day, you know, because I didn't have a daily routine. So I highly encourage you to, you know, develop one. Be proactive. Read those two books. The one thing in America warrant to get focused and figure out what those things you need to be focused on are. And once you have those, make a little list a little daily routine for yourself and keep that close by on your desk or somewhere, and then do those things every single day so that you can stay on track and incrementally start to increase. You know your business and the things that you're doing in your business and your life. So So if you're working for yourself again, I definitely recommend creating a routine that you can stick. Teoh. Make sure it's simple so that you know you can. You can do it every single day and not give yourself excuses not to do that thing, but take action on this information. Create a simple daily routine for yourself and be sure to stick to it every single week.
