You were now watching class, too. It is serious. You will develop a good understanding of what focus is on the meat and potatoes off this Siris are a number of really cool techniques that you can use to make your focus superstrong it. Class one. We laid the foundation for the Siri's. All the productivity techniques were briefly introduced, and you learn to first awesome technique. The bank pong ball exercise. If you haven't, what's this glass yet? Make sure that you go back and check it out. The true power off this series is in. Watching all classes together in the second class will start getting deeper into the topic of this Siri's increasing focused boost your productivity. We'll start with a lesson from Yoda from the Star Wars movie. The Empire strikes back. If you develop the power of your mind, you will be able to do amazing things then we'll start to finding focus by answering the question. What is focus? The highlight off this class is the second focus technique off this Siri's, which I call the triangle Saving mast. It may look crazy or even impossible to perform now, but if I can do it, you can do it to. The key is focused. I will explain every step of the trying or saving must exercise, and then you will start practicing it yourself. 3. Yoda (Star Wars) Teaches About The Power of The Mind: the Star Wars movie The Empire Strikes Back contains a beautiful scene in which Yoda trains Luke Skywalker in the Swamp. Look, it's struggling with his training. He's able to lift a stone off the ground with a mere power of his mind. But he's not able to live The X Wing fighter out of the swamp. And it's his own X wing fighter, he tells Yoda. It's impossible on a Yoda, Correction says No, it's no impossible. They're the same. They're only different in your mind. Then look says, Okay, I'll give it another try. Yoga immediately cuts him short. Assess. No, don't try. Do or do not. Yoda ends up illustrating his point by lifting the fighter out of the shop himself with the power of the force. Once it's on the land, look, Skywalker's baffled and says, I don't believe it. And this is when your process and this is why you feel if you develop the power off your mind, you'll be able to do tremendous things. Thinks you wouldn't consider possible before 4. What is Focus?: There's a South Park episode in which Eric Cartman constantly makes fun off how bore Kenny's parents are. One of the jokes, he tells his Kenny's mom is so poor she can't even pay attention. Luckily, for most of us, paying attention isn't really a problem. Bryza. All forms of tension arise from it into play between two very different parts of the brain , the bottom up or stimulus driven attention. First, the top down or go oriented attention. The all the lower brain, working largely outside of consciousness, constantly monitors the signals coming in from the senses. Acting as a warning system, it alerts us to shifts in our surroundings, pains in our body or memories of worrying events. It is impulsive, uncontrolled and often commanded by fear and other raw emotions. The alerts, the stream from the lower brain are hard to resist when they pop into the conscious mind. The neocortex, the brain's more recently evolved outer layer, works to control all those primitive impulses. It's top down attention is what enables you to screen out distractions and focus your mind on a single task. Without it, we'd have the attention span of a chipmunk. Perhaps you're familiar with the expression that the mind is like a drunk monkey stung by scorpion. So what is focus? Focus is the ability to director attention in accordance with you will it strengthens your top down attention. Focus is also the ability to concentrate on one thing at a time instead of jumping from one thing to another like a crazy monkey. When your mind is in a state of focus is completely and gross. But it's one thing and oblivious to everything else. All the energy of your mind is concentrated on this one thing. 5. The Triangle Sailing Mast - Introduction. Train your Focus and Productivity: exercise you will learn in this lecture I learned from one of my teachers. I called the trying off sailing mast. This is an exercise in which your left arm in your right arm move in different directions, so it's really challenging. You will find that you really need to concentration to perform this one correctly, So it's an excellent technique to build your focus. It looks like this. 6. The Triangle Sailing Mast - How To Perform (Step 1): So how do you perform the triangle? Sailing? Messed. Let's break it down into separate parts. Begin by standing up. We'll start easy. The movements off your left arm are simple. You make three movements that together resemble the shape of a triangle. Let's do a couple together, said Arm goes up. Then to the left. I am back down again, up left, and now that's easy, right? Your right arm is going to make things more complicated, though the five movements off your right arm resembled that of a boats mask carrying a sale . The 1st 2 movements are identical to the movement's off the left hand, but then it gets tricky. Your right arm goes up instead of down. The fourth movement is going down halfway through the middle. The final movement brings your right arm back to the starting position. Your right arm goes up. He goes to the right, up, down through the middle and back to center, up to the right, up again, down through the middle and back to center. Let's do a couple together so the right arm goes up to the right, goes up again down through the middle and back to center. One more up to the right, up again, down through the middle and back to center. 7. The Triangle Sailing Mast - How To Perform (Step 2): I'll show you what it looks like when you perform to do together. I find that it helps me if I close my eyes and only focus on the movements. So let's start slowly. There was one round one round consists of five triangles and three sailing masts. At the end of one round your arms come back together again in the starting position. If you have difficulty following my movements, maybe it's because you're mirroring me. So this is what it looks like if you see it from the back. Now let's perform the whole exercise together with both arms, we start off slowly and one more round. Are you getting the hang of it? If so, I speed it up a little. Keep going. Trying are saying mass is a great exercise to supercharge your focus. We tend to do a lot of things on autopilot, but if you do that with this exercise, you won't get anywhere. So keep on practicing and I will see you in the next lecture. 8. Project Assignment for this Focus and Productivity Class: as an assignment.
