I'm really excited You decided to enroll in this course. Design your desired future. Siri's create your long term and short term goals. Congratulations on taking the first step to making lasting transformations in your life. Your class project will be to create a vision board with effective affirmations. This is a visual representation of your short term and long term goals and can really help to keep you motivated as you work towards achieving your dreams. To create this, there will be some self discovery assignments to help you identify your target goals and make sure that you're heading in the right direction. That's very important. You want to make sure you're heading in the right direction, so come join me in the next video so we can discuss the expectations. 3. Expectations: I know you're excited to get into the course material and start doing those activities, but let's take a minute to talk about expectation. There are differences between an online course study and one on one coaching sessions. Well, the tools I teach you here are the ones I use in my coaching plaque. Practice with my clients. There will be additional work on your behalf to see that you get the most out of these tools. Some examples of the differences air on your screen. As you could see, both disciplines can be beneficial when you work with the coach, you'll have someone at your side or over the phone asking tough, deep dive questions to get you to look below the surface and really figure out what is keeping you from reaching your goals or, in this case, what you really want out of life and where you want to go. In the first video of the Siri's design, your desired future, I teach you the more or less activity and the life balance graph, which are two really great tools to help you deep dive. If you haven't checked out that video, please do check it out here on skill. Sherm. Online courses don't have that extra interaction, so the success falls squarely on your shoulders. But as you can see on the screen, the same is true for one on one coaching. I give you the tools, but you'll have to force yourself to dig deep and really self discover. I do my best in these courses to give you the activities toe, learn the process of deep diving and self discovery. And the more you use them, the more effective you'll become. Practice really does make perfect and a really important thing to remember is that actions equal results. I've personally used these activities on myself, and I have seen amazing results. I've had clients work on these activities on their own, and they've seen amazing results. I know you can do it. The key to this course is you get what you put into the process. Be honest, look deep and you'll learn things about yourself. You may not have known in the past, So without further ado, let's get started on the first activity. I'll see you in the next video 4. Self Dicovery: the first step in creating future goals of self discovery. The first activity in this project will be to brainstorm ideas. There are two ways to make this happen, and I hope you follow both the first you can start on right away, and the second is an ongoing activity in the first activity. Simply take out five sheets of paper and a pen. Label one paper one year the next five years, the next 10 years, the next 15 years and the last 20 years. You can space out the years however you want, but you want to go. Ast's far into the future. As you feel comfortable for each paper, take 15 to 20 minutes and brainstorm where you'd like to be at those milestone dates. This can be related to career personal relationships. It really is simply a brainstorming activity. No answer is too far fetched. Your inspiring your mind to dream big. You'll narrow things down later with a more realistic I pauses video and do this. Now press play when you're ready to hear the next brainstorming activity. Now you have some healthy, dreamless great job. Put those aside and let them marinate a while I wanted to take a moment and tell you the second brainstorming activity here. Journaling. This is something you can do every day. And if you struggle of falling asleep, do this 20 minutes prior to going to bed. And it may help you with any sleep issues you might have when journaling there doesn't need to be a focus just right. Don't even analyze what you've written until the next day. You will find great hints to the subconscious dreams doing this process. Now let's discuss another great activity for creating short and long term goals. See you in the next video. 5. Visual Imagery: in this section of the class, we're going to discuss another great activity for creating short term and long term goals. This is visual imagery. Visual imagery is a wonderful manifestation tool. It helps you focus inward and allows your mind to play out a scenario that can give you great insight into where you want to go into the future. It is similar to the brainstorming activity but sparks different muscles. Athletes and successful people use visual imagery all the time. I use it myself whenever I'm feeling stuck or need to prepare for something that falls out of my comfort zone. I mentioned that I've been certified in both hypnotherapy and neural linguistic programming . Otherwise, no one has an O. P. One thing both of those trains taught me was that the mind doesn't really necessarily know the difference between a false or real memory or vision. Think about that. The mind cannot really tell the difference between a real or imagined memory. That is why basketball players imagine themselves dunking the ball in the hoop over and over and over again and then allowing themselves to hear the crowd cheer as they win the game that is why Olympic athletes imagine their floor routine over and over and over again moments before they step onto the mat. It is why a successful leader might imagine a meeting before he or she is about to give in his mind before he or she steps into the conference room to deliver the final product. The more it is imagined, the more it is believed in the mind. And the more the mind believes it can be reality now, let me be clear. Just imagining the act doesn't always make it a reality. Actions equal results what you put into the project. You get out of it. You still need to do the actions required to make the vision a reality. You still need to do the actions required to make it come to pass visual imagery on a conscious level, which is what you'll be doing is the equivalent to recognizing the dream and starting your manifestation project. It is about setting the goal and helping you design a plan to get there. That is what the Siri's is all about. To perform your visual imagery, you'll want to find a quiet place where you won't be disturbed. Ah, place where you can safely close your eyes and focus inward as you watch the imagery play out in your mind. Think of it as a guided former meditation. You are the guide, and you're also one meditating. Be sure to set a timer on your phone or clock to set an expectation of how long you'll be doing this imagery project. I usually recommend 15 to 30 minutes, but it really is whatever you can a lot into your schedule. When you do this imagery project, you'll close your eyes and imagine yourself standing on a timeline of your life. Start walking towards the future and stop whatever point in the future. You'd like to focus in on and take a peek of what you're doing and where you are at. Keep the focus on the positive things you're doing. Take note of your successes. If you want, you can pop into that timeframe as yourself and experience What is happening. Make it the present tense and add in all the senses you can experience. Remember, the purpose of this activity is to see where you are going. Always keep the meditations positive. Never focus on the negative. Now have a negative thought pops into your mind. Acknowledge this and then move your attention back to the positive. Remember, you are in complete control of this activity. You are the guide guide your visual imagery or meditation where you needed to go and stay on the positive. The negative will be dealt with as you work on creating realistic goals. You can do this activity multiple times with multiple visits to your timeline and different intervals in different spots. Be sure to have a no pad close by when you do the activity to record what you learned. So now pauses course and try the visual imagery activity. See what you come up with and add those notes to your brainstorming activities. When you're done, come back to the next video. 6. Analysis: now you should have a lot of different ideas on where you want to head for your future. Take a look at all the notes you've come up with. Are they the same or are there differences? Do a quick analysis. Some of these dreams will become your goals. You'll be using these notes to start creating your vision board. Take 15 minutes now to narrow down some specific goals from each of your time frames. Circle. The ones you'd like to achieve that are realistic. When you're done, I'll see you in the next video. 7. Visual Representation Collection: next, you'll want to start collecting visual representation of your goals produce from the analysis you just performed and then a fixed them to your vision board. You can do this a couple of different ways. You can create one offline with posterboard, photos and glue. Or you can use an online tool to create a collage that you can use as a screen saver. The key is to create the board with your dreams, which are now represented in short and long term goals. Thanks the two brainstorming activities centred around timelines. It is important to keep them visual on a daily basis as motivation. Take some time and start putting together this vision board. And in the next video, I'm going to talk to you about how you could make the vision board even more effective. 8. Affirmations: one way to really set your vision board apart is to add a list of 5 to 10 affirmations that coincide with your goals. Reading these affirmations out loud every day when you look at your vision board is another way to reinforce your dreams. On affirmation is a positive phrase set to a present tense that is used as a motivation in reinforcement tool. Some examples of affirmations are every day in every way. I am fill in the blank. I am happy, healthy and my focus is on fill in the blank. I am committed to learning new things to fill in the blank. I am open minded to achieving my goals. My commitment to succeeding in Blank is amazing. These air, all written in positive boys with present tense reinforcement, take some time now and make her affirmations to be added to your vision board. If you come up with a really great affirmation that you'd like to share, please start your project in the project gallery by sharing your affirmation 9. Putting it all together: congratulations. You're almost done. All that remains now is to put it all together in position the vision board in a place where you'll see it every day. Make a habit of visiting this board daily and reading out loud the affirmations as you complete goals on the board, replaced them with new ones and change the affirmations out every month to keep them fresh . To show you've completed this project, please pop over to the Project gallery and post your biggest take away or lesson learned. During this course, you can add your vision board or affirmations to the project gallery if you like, or you can keep those to yourself. Is there meant for your own personal growth and development? But I do ask that you share a take away for completion. I am so looking forward to seeing your project posts. This is one of the greatest projects you can do for your own personal growth and development, because it builds a solid foundation that is visually an auditory Aly reinforced daily. It is a living board and can be updated and changed as you work through your goals. Be on the lookout for my next two classes, which I hope to have released in the next two weeks.
