L teaches this technique on different apple devices. But this technique is not only limited to these products. You can replicate what's being taught here and applied on however image you want. As long as it falls into a category of images that can be turned into a Marca. We will be exploring two different types of markups standalone markers and connected markets. Don't worry if they do not make any sense to you right now, we will discuss each of them in detail in the upcoming videos but and rolling into this closet you have an access to the class project area where you can download the working files. I upload it for you. I would suggest using my fighters say can easily follow along, but you're free to use your own images. See you in the next video 3. Standalone Mockup Part 1: all right and welcome back to the clause. So in this video we'll take a look at how we can convert its simple image into a marker. So go ahead and open up a foot shop if you haven't already and go to file open, let's let they made you want to open and had opened to open name age. As you can see that this is a very simple image, and the reason for having this is to show you the process of creating markup. Once you master these skills, you don't feel comfortable working with more complex images. So let's have a look at what are the steps involved in the market creation. So the market creation is actually a five step process. Step number one is to draw a shape. Step Number two is to set the blending mode to multiply. Step Number three is to convert it into a smart option is that number four is to adjust the position and finally, step. Number five is to insert an outwork in this my property. So let's go back to footie shop and then start with step number one. Now we are back in front. Official press you on the keyboard or go to your tour and slipped. They're tangled toe to activate it. Make sure that Phyllis elected to the white, and now I start drawing the shape. Try to draw the shape as close to the screen s possible. But if he having matched it, is screen perfectly, No problem. We can always adjust it later. All right, so we're done with this step. By one step, Number two was to select the blending mode to multiply. You can go to this drop down and slept. The blending more to multiply. Mr. Number three was to convert a layer into a smart object, and to do so, you need to right click on the layer and final option that, say's. Convert this smart object and click on it now. The four step was to adjust the position if needed. We can go back to our move toe and press culture Command T on her keyboard to activate the transformation toe right, click on it and select Distort. Now zoom in a little bit to every corner and adjust the shapes if needed and zooming. You can press culture command plus space bar. It will activate the zoom toe. If you drag the mouse to your right, it will zoom in and by going to the left it full zoom out. All right. So I'm just going to zooming to every corner and a line the shape perfectly with these cream going down to the next corner and align it again now to the remaining corners Alliance with this cream and the final one client with the screen and click on Yes. Now zoom out. You can press colder command zero to fit the art for on this screen. Now, the finally step was to consider not work in the smart object To open a smart object you need to double click on this small book inside of this large box Double click on it to open and swallow Object and you can place any after you want in it. I've already got one image for myself. So let me go ahead and imported hair, right. And I close this mount of declare It will ask you to save the changes. Click. Yes. And here we go. If you want to change the design for some reason, you can again go to this smart object layer double click on it and replace this image with your new image. Close again. Yes, And Harry Cup. See you in the next video. 4. Standalone Mockup Part 2: Now that we're familiar with the basic markup creation process, I'd like you to go ahead, balls this video and try this image out here self. You can download this image from the class purchase area, so let's start with step number one drawing a shape Step number two said the blending mode to multiply Step number three converted into a smart object. Step number four. Hey, just a shape. Frankly, to start now, try to align the corners with their screen. I have, yes, step number five in such a not work in the smart object and here we have it. See you in the next video. 5. Connected Mock up Part 1: hello and welcome back. So in this video we'll take a look at how we can create a connected markup inside photo Sham. So what is a connected markup? A connected marker is a markup in which we insert in artwork in one a smart object, and it will automatically get updated in the remaining, Ismat observes. So let's have a look on that. So again we will follow the same steps that we already have been following. But there is one additional step involved in that lets you start with step number one drawing a shape. So I'm just going to press you on my key vote to activate the shape, too, and it start drawing the shape. Try to draw the shape as close to the screen as possible, and here we have it set Number two said, declining more to multiply. Step number three. Now the fourth step is an additional step, and this is a very important step. If you're going to make a connected Moncur, you need to actually duplicate this one object layer, and the way you can do that is by taking this layer and place it on this small icon, or there's also Sharkey, which is Coulter Command J Less Rain Ament too. I make em ring him the other smart object as MacBook. Now we are going to place our I make a smart object on the I make a screen Activate the transformation toe to make sure we are taking the right A smart object Place it on the I make a screen and head yes to displace it Now go back to Mac. Book a smart object again Activate the transformation toe by pressing culture Command T right. Click on that and select Distort. Now just try to align corners with this cream And here we have it. And Harry, go fall of the same staff on the I maker screen. So let the I'm a clear Activate the transformation toe, Move it to the one corner right click on that slight distort and no meister corners with the screen. And here we go. Now that we have made all the adjustment, the last step was the incident, not work. So I'm just going to open any of thes smart object layer by double clicking on this small, smart object from Neil incident at work. Now I'm going to close it and it lost me to save the changes. Elfers. Yes. And you'll notice that both of the screens will automatically get abated with this design. Here we go. One thing we can notice here that this Greece are alerting in the next video. We'll take a look at how we can get rid of this area. See you in the next video. 6. Connected Mock up Part 2: Hello and welcome back. Now that we have seen what connected Markham's are and how we can create them in this radio , we're going to fix the overlapping shapes so that zoom in by pressing Coulter is space birth and dragging it to the right to zoom in. We can fix this out with layer mask, come to the layers panel, select the I'm a clear and click on this third icon that say's at Liam asked to add a layer mask. This in case you don't know what layer mask our. So the layer mask is a technique to add and remove objects from the artwork without actually affecting the original. Design her his hair. It works. Once the limits has been added. We need to go to the pen to to make a selection. Sharkey for the mental is be. We actually need to remove this specific area from our mag book screen with the help of a bento. I'm going to make a selection, and the reason I chose spent two is because off his precise selection, make sure that the Panthers selected, and I'm just going to click here to start my selection and for a straight line and just green to click here. Now for the Claire's. I go to another endpoint click here and by keep clicking it. I'm just going to drag it downwards to make a curve. Now again for a straight line. I'm just going to click here for a straight line again. Click here and now I'm going to close it. You will not. Is that this small circle that re presents? Closing of the shape on the toolbar? Good selection. Okay. To make a selection, make sure you're on the I McMaster slip your brush tool with a black for gun clerk. We're actually going to take the objects away from the design and with the white, we can bring them back. So my for gang clerk is selected to black. If I just throw with the help of a breast Tools on removing objects from my mask for a sculptor come indeed to de select my selection. And we're good to go. If you have any questions for me, feel free to let me know, and I'll be more than happy to help you out. Right? So see you next time
