Project Description

Redesign your favorite character as a dragon!

First, pick a character you find interesting. It could be from a story or a character you invented. Once you've picked a character, introduce us to this character. Write down a bit about this character; their likes and dislikes, motivations, occupation, goals, dreams and desires. A mood board to help visually convey this is a great idea.

Once you've picked your character, the most important step comes next: thumbnailing. Take your time with this as do as many as necessary. Share your thumbs in the gallery; we'd love to see them! (For those who really want to learn about this magic called thumbnailing, check out this video by former Disney artist Armand Serrano.)

When you've made your decision about which thumbnail to move forward with, it's time to start creating the final drawing. For those of you who love drawing, now's your time to shine! Let's see them drawings!

Finally, comes the pretty part: color. Do some quick color studies to help plan out your color scheme. Once that's settled, start painting! Don't forget to upload your final masterpiece to the gallery!
