About This Class
Your small business is poised for major growth — but how will you get there? In this 50-minute class, Bond Street CEO David Haber will explain how you as a creative entrepreneur can take advantage of debt financing to grow your small business.
Are you a design studio looking to move into a bigger space? A freelancer with an LLC planning to hire a second employee? A coffee shop opening a new location? A production company investing in new equipment? From knowing what your loan options are, to what you need for the application, and the "magic number" you should keep in mind to ensure success, David draws on his experience as both a lender and a venture capitalist to lay out the financing process in simple, clear terms.
This class is meant for creative entrepreneurs and small business owners in all fields who are looking to dream big and take their companies to the next level. No prior financial knowledge is necessary — all you need is the passion that got you into this business in the first place, and the desire to invest in your own growth.

Adding to my rubberband ball of knowledge
I started this course having very little knowledge about funding and business finances. I found this course very easy to understand, very helpful, and felt like I truly learned something by the time I had finished. Recommended to those looking to gain some knowledge about funding their business.
I am a co-founder and the CEO of Bond Street, a startup transforming small business lending through technology, data and design. I believe that small business owners are the foundation for growth in our economy and yet today’s banking system has left them behind. Bond Street is building a better future where access to financing is simple, transparent and fair.
I have been building and investing in technology enabled financial services businesses for the past five years. Before co-founding Bond Street in 2013, I was an investor at Spark Capital where I focused on marketplace and financial services investments. Prior to joining Spark, I co-founded Locus Analytics, a startup asset management firm where I was portfolio manager for the firm’s $40M in assets under management and ran product development for its analytics platform.
I hold an A.B. from Harvard University. I live in New York City with my wife.
