I've chosen this name because these are three things which want last in my life. So art and mother who are like forever I have lots of experiences in different fields. Off part. I'm really a painter. I used mainly, actually sometimes oil, and I love to create amazing, colorful watercolor illustrations I have experienced and textile design. I have my own brand off handmade doors. LeBeau. I also have experience and drawing graphic design digital art digital illustrations. I made my master teases about animation on, so I have experienced also with that but or my point is that I have experience with photograph. E is dark and moody. Tone can be found in all of my heart. I use a lot of black color. I also tried to implement back in my color illustrations with Dia's Black Bubbles. It is kind of my artistic side does modernise yours just my art but also my life on my home . Even my fridge is black on. My sink is black and I always wear something black, but I'm not a set person. I just love that I experimented a lot in Photograph E, for example, I painted with light I painted on photographs. I also made a lot off photographs for businesses that I also had some of my photographs exhibited in our chose. I love to experiment it portrait. It's. I started to make Fotografia back in 2009 when this big Facebook boom happened and selfie started to be really popular. And I, of course, want to distance out on be different. So I played a lot around and made these interesting shots. The fun fact I didn't own a DSL are until this Christmas, when I got home from from my husband. I didn't invest in it because I think photograph E is about the I, not the camera. You can create amazing photographs with an awesome camera and the beautiful girl, for example. But the art off capturing moments is about how you see the most awesome pictures I've taken are from my smart phone Andi from a small being digital or impose compact, which was amazing camera and was stolen in a party. So my heart broke and I got this white Nike UNDATED too. This is a really handy camera or travels. We traveled a lot of motorbike with my husband around Europe. Andi, it was not like a big DSLR, so I was like, able to just get it, make photographs right on the multiply. I also collect old 40 machines, for example, here is a small eight on Here is my favorite show. I don't actually make for the press with these machines. I love how they look on. I decorate my living room with them and I used them as necessaries for mine photographs on Yes, I and I owned a DSLR which I'm exploring right now on I'm shooting this video with it in this course I want to show you that making amazing photographs is not about buying the expensive stuff. It is about you being creative on, uh, using your I Teoh to find details to capture the moment, to find the most interesting part. To be able to analyze the light coming from the light source, which is going to be actually the natural light in this case, I will show you have to find this the best sports in your home to build this little shooting studio. How to analyze light on how to set the steam to play around with angles on your objects and some editing options, which will make your photos even better. As an art teacher, I try to make this course as good as possible, so I hope that it will be beneficial for you, so let's begin. 3. Materials Needed: materials needed, so you will need some stuff. So look around in your home. You can also go in. Buy some cheap things in a dollar store. But let's just see what we have around. The first thing is the main subject. Food for your product. You can bake your own true keys. Get some food wedges, turtles, chocolate anything which you think is interesting. You can get some seeds and spices. Coffee beans sold. I love, for example, similar roles team. Even if you do product photography, guess your products just make sure they're not too big. The second are other feelers. So in creating a scene, we will need some nice objects, which make our composition more interesting. For example, he's a newspaper. Rebounds small objects like schools, watches for cops. Anything using Michael Good. 3rd 1 is the surface okay, so the surface can be your desk or table if it has a nice wooden texture. But as we're going for dark and moody tone, find something black or rustic. It can be a black played, a crunch piece of paper. You can buy tile with some texture or take mystery or some text size. The background I'm going in detail with a background in a later section. Now I just want to show what can you use so again as we are going for darkness, obviously you need something dark. You can buy a big piece off black paper. You can paint a simple piece of cardboard, black or even bi a back cardboard if you have cameras so painting black, I'm going to do that on uses, black canvas and my surface as my background. And even as a light locker, you can use textiles again. I'm going to use a single black T shirt of my husband. I have a black leather chair so I can use it also as the full steam. We don't using any other surface and any other back room. There are two other important tools. One is delight blocker, and the other is the reflector. Light. Blacker can be a piece of cardboard. Again, I'm going to use the pure package off the follicle paper I ordered This week or reflector is going to be a smaller piece of cardboard covered with aluminium foil. Or you can just use simply white sheet off paper. The last thing on the least is the camera. So get your DSLR digital compact or your smartphone before we start the actual shooting you analyzed on pictures and get some inspiration in the next videos. Now take a look again in the materials needed recap. None of Compton you to the next video. 4. Analyzing Pictures: analyzing pictures. Before we start, we are going to look at some pictures and try to figure out how were they done? Where is the light coming from? How is the composition done? And what is to see? Telling us I have collected some pictures to a Pinterest board. I hope you will be dressed. If not, I recommend you to sign up. I have collected is pictures so that we can go through them on. Don't know analyst station. So let's find at first pictures where there is only one subject. I can see a cherry here, so let's take a look at it. As you can see, here is a where we harsh highlight. So I suppose it the light source is somewhere here. I think it is natural line the picture. The subject is on a rustic table and we I don't know what the background is. It is fully black. I don't even think there is any background. I think there is just delight somehow blocked so that it doesn't enter these background so that it just stays on the subject on on the surface where this picture Staker. Let's take a look on another Once up. Jake Teoh. Picture that here is a bread here. You can see that there is actually a background. Maybe it is the wall which is painted black. Or it is a big black cardboard. Um, it is again a rustic table on the only subject is this fresh? Read. The light source is we don't decide, Andi. It lies the whole bread and also the surface it is put on. Okay, let's find pictures where there are just two or three subjects. So let's take a look at this doughnut. We can see that the background is some kind. Has some kind off touch. Texture on the surface is maybe black like marble or tile. I don't know, but it it has got some reflection. The light is coming from this side. So again it is, I think, uh, doh, I think that the light is coming from this direction. Let's take a look. And another. Here are two free subjects again. It is arrested surface. I don't even think it is a table. Maybe it is a box or just a piece of food. I know here you can state it. There it is. Don't we go Focus is off course on the X, and there is no background. You will. You will see that in a later section when we're going to talk about backgrounds and angles , playing with angles that if you play well with and goes, you don't even need a background. So your background is the surface itself. Here is a nice one. I think it is a black paper. As the debate clowned, here's a rustic black, not late. The light is coming from this side. Here you can see the window. So this is a picture where is just only one subject? Even though there are lots of similar roles, there is only one subject, and it is a very interesting way composed, Um, the focus is on the edge of tea is the cinnamon rolls, and you can see the background. Now let's take a little calm features when there are, like lots off subjects, for example, like this one results off chocolate. Their restaurant there is some see sold. You can see that it is a black leather, and this surface is again. The background cells here is a little here. You guys theorize stick wooden table, lots of things it is a little bit counting, but I like being there is a similar one. What with different angle Background is part off the composition, so they're just continuing. There is another thing I want to show you. Under these negative space, negative space is basically space, which is not field where the subject, it is very interestingly used. Here here is a giant negative space. And here So the composition is Diane Animal. Andi leads the uber throughout day whole picture, which is also a diagonal composition. But I can see a spiral here and here is the giant negative space. And also here years negative space. Here is the negative space in this picture again. Here, as you can see, diagonal composition, you can leave the Buber through the whole picture. Onda, uh, these negative space gives kind of elegance to the picture and makes it also interesting. So you can play also with that I told that we are going to talk about what these scenes wants to tell us. So I'm going to go through these pictures and tell if is if they are static. Pictures are they are active pictures. Static pictures are where it is just composed and there is nothing happening on them. But the exit pictures wants to tell us something. There is something happening. There is something missing. For example, this is a static picture. You can see that nobody eight days. I don't know cookies or what? Our days it has broken down, but you can see that this is a little bit forced. It is not bad, but it is a composition on a picture like this tells a story. There's the cheese, me seeing someone age, someone someone cooked. There is there is some action which happened. This is a composed picture against composed, composed, composed. Even though this cookie is not on the plate, it is. You can see there is static. And this is also study because it is just chocolate, which is broken down to pieces again. It is not, but I think, but it doesn't tell me anything. However, here and dusty, it says, if someone prepared, I can imagine that someone prepared ISTEA. It is, ah, a little bit missing, given notice couples. I can see a story berated that someone sat at this table to discuss on the phone, rang and went away to get it. I hope that you now have a kind of understanding analyzing pictures. So I recovered. Due to make a board like this, You will see in the next video how we will do that. But you will need to go through some pictures on Just look at it. Look at the background. What it might be It is a dusk. It is a paper. It is, um, textile. Where is the light coming from? So at this picture, light is coming from here. You can stay it because off the shadows and these cookies are in the shadow. So I think here is the light blocker so that the light is allowed to hit just these objects . On that you can see how to make compositions with different numbers off subjects. For example, if you have only one subject if you have more subjects, if you what's off subject on that you have the possibility to play with negative space. Now let's see how to get even more inspired on. Then let's get to shooting 5. Get Inspired : get inspired. So we discussed some important concepts regarding light and composition. Now I want to show you How can you get inspired? Interest is a search engine for images. Basically, it is like a weasel gathering space for creating ideas. You can find awesome images, paintings, do it yourself projects, suing ideas. Almost anything you can think of signing up is as easy as any social media. Nowadays, you can do that, even read your Facebook or Google discount on Pinterest. You can search for images with Cheever. Then you can create mutual ports to which you can bend them. For example, I like this picture, so I just move the mouse on it. One click VPN safe. I can choose the boards I have created for I can create a new board. I'm going to paint this to my dark and moody fools. For the Refugee board, Eso Printers is like the most awesome place to get inspired off course by getting inspired . I don't mean being a copycat. We just want to see different points of views on the same thing. So please dressed works. We'd key birds. You can see I search these key birds like well, drawing whaling sunglasses. That said, I will put dark and moody food photography in it, so it shows us lots off ideas right away. We are not going to add keepers roundelay. Now your task is to go and find a subject you will like to use as your main subject. I will go for garlic now, so I'm going to put keywords in here like garlic photography. It shows me, tells off pictures. I can see that. For example, here is an interesting picture where they used text time to create a composition with garlic. Here is a rustic table again. Here are some. Here was a spoon at some spices. So looking at pictures like this gives me an idea. What accessories can I use? What you look for? What looks good with the subject I've chosen here. You can see how I used this inspiration and use the textile together with garlic. Okay, I'll try another warm. Now let's put coffee want of roughy. This is not the loop we are looking for. So let's try beings. Wow! So you can see that these country beings are putting 2 December. Bos hears again you some textile here is a spool used Here is a light tell all which actually inspired me to take shot off my chocolate and coffee beans. With this method, I'm going for rustic cookie photography. What do you see? Here is a river used against some textiles. Here is an interesting composition with milk black background. So there are tons of possibilities. Don't all points off used on the same subject. Now your task is to put some subjects in the surge on take notes or just great board for yourself with the pictures you like. Andi used them as an inspiration. Now we are going to rule to next section and you're going to you for light in your home. 6. Finding the Right Spot : finding the right spot in this lecture, we're going to make clear how are homemade shooting studio? We'll look like Take a look at this picture. As I said before, we are not going to use any artificial light. Natural light is the best week of work with sore light. Source will be a window we could define. To which direction should your window look to tune art to west, to east or to self. But I can't see appointing that everyone has a different hole. Different schedule has different weather conditions, so I wouldn't get into this. For example, I came only to Windows and my kids sleep in the other rooms. What I can shoot and I can't even shoot any time just for 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. So I will work with that. I'm a shooting some of the pictures when it was snowing outside. So really even weather doesn't matter. What matters is that it is a big enough window, and there is nothing in front off it that would block the light coming in like a huge building. Artists elite Bush. You should take off these in consideration. Walk around your home and trying to find the window that you can work with. Here's the spot I'm going to use. This is my kitchen. I have my working station also here because the kids took over the bedrooms and I can actually cook lunch while I wait for paint layers to dry. As you can see, I have two big windows and a founder here to work on this project. I have chosen this window. It is big enough. I like it because the light is almost never too harsh. There's also the front door, which brings it even more light so I can play a lot around with ankles. Basis for the studio will be a simple chair. It is a good choice because you can put your background and surface on it without the need off any other supporting supplies. I sometimes use another chair if I need to support something, for example, a big surface. Or if I want something to support the light blocker or delights soft inner, take a look again on this picture. As you can see, this is the way we are going to set the studio up. Here is the window. The status in front of it. And we are great to shoot from this side. We will take a deeper look on the scene in the next video. 7. Defining the Scene: defining the scene. Let's take a deeper look on the scene itself. As you can see, there is the background on the surface subject. It's on the surface, and here is a so called shooting path. By shooting on a different spots off the shooting path, you get different results. Let's keep in mind that the window is on the left side off. To see taking a picture totally on the left side is not the best idea. You, Mr Background, So you can make a good picture on Lee if you shoot from an angle when the surface becomes the background by this, you even blocked alike. But it is still possible to make a nice picture, For example, like this one. The other four points on the shooting path will be a better choice. The second spot will allow the background to enter the picture. The third spot is the from When you can see the horizon Line then before is similar to the second. But in this case you will get a backlight on your subject, which makes it more interesting. Then the fifth has a full back line, but the background again leaves the perspective. This is the state of I used for this experiment. I use the black canvas as the background and a piece off tile for the service. Don't get confused by the light behind the steam. It is the front door. My window is here on the slide has nothing to do with the scene as I was shooting. If you have time for mood, try this experiment on your own. Play video angles and observed a light. How it hits your subject. Actually, if your schedule is not a tight observed a light coming from your window in different parts of the day so that you can try out when you can shoot the best photos. Now let's continue to the next lecture where you will learn how you can control the light coming from your window. 8. Playing with Light: playing with light. Now that we have are seen sport, I'm going to show you some more tips how you can play with delights and shadows a little more. First of all, is the reflector. Let's say or light is very harsh and the other side has details I would like to see. I don't want it to be in a full shadow. For this. I can use a blank sheet off White Office Baker or a piece of cardboard covered with aluminium foil you can see. And if I put my reflector here, these details and shadow become brighter light blocker to achieve a darker and moodier Luke . It is a good idea to use the light blocker to block with light. I can use a single piece of cardboard. I sometimes use my black campus for debt. By this, I can manipulate the angle and the quantity off delight with delight Blocker, we can make a light tunnel. It is the reverse situation when we don't block the life, but we let some life in to our dark. Seen by this, we can create dramatic Luke and amazing pictures with back light smartening delight. If I have a very harsh light. I can use several things to make it smoother for exactly used a transparent curtain or tracing paper for even baking paper. Difference between these last two is in thickness and in tone. Stick with the whiter tools, if you can. Now you have some ideas how you can control the light coming through your window. Let's see, what can you do with your background? 9. The Background: just like Rome. At first, I would differentiate between three kinds of backgrounds. The first is when you shoot from the throne and you can see the border line off the surface and the background. This is the case when we are using a black cardboard or some text guns, as we are now looking for dark moods or background should be black. In this photo, I used the black cameras as the background and an interesting so pleather next time as my surface. In the other case, I used a simple back T shirt, pulls on the back off the chair and the piece off leftover tile from our house renovation. In both cases, we are using the depth of field. Dr. Field is when the subject is in the focus and the background is blurred. You can achieve this on your DSLR, setting your aperture lover than 5.6 and on your smartphone. When you jump on the main subject, this obviously means that the background is out of focus. So no detail. Dexter. Well, BC The second cases, when you play with the angles and take photos approximately in a 45 degree angle, you can see the subject of Viterbo and Desportivo line off the background and the service moves up, the surface itself becomes the background. In this case, you complain with continuing the composition to the background as for example, I did in this photo. The 3rd 1 is when you shoot from a bow. The surface is the background again, but no depth off field is used. This last two cases, it is important to have a nice surface, but I really love the texture of the black letter. But a crunched piece of paper and a nice wooden texture or an interesting textile can be also a good choice. In the next video, I'm going to show you what I did to my black and West to achieve a child board look. 10. The Chalkboard Effect: a little bored effect. Chop wars are very popular, never lays in interior design. They are used as accessories, but sometimes walls are painted with chalkboard paint to create mother industrial Luke. People can get really creative. I also have a little child ward. Whoa, Where or guests, for example, Count surfers. Kelly. Lovely messages. I was looking for inspiration again on the interest, and there are lots of great ideas to use child words as a background or the surface. Look at this picture here. The child word is used as a simple background, and here it got a more functional role as dairies is a little common to freedom. Personally, I'm not good in lettering, so I would add taxed in the editing face. There are lots off refunds online, which look as they were written by chalk. Look for them off 101 funds dot com. Let's get back to the speak. Cher's so child ports can be used also as a surface, and you can get really creative with them to create the child board. You don't need anything special. A big cardboard painted black or, in my case, a become US painted black will work. I will add a few layers of chalk on it and rub it inside with a paper towel. You can run freed with your fingers to add a used Luke and, well, deaths it. I used this chalkboard as a surface when I was shooting the blueberries. It gives it an elegant and stylish look. Don't you think you can try to make your own child board to have something to work with? In the next section, you will learn little camera basics than we have finally get to the shooting itself. 11. Camera Basics: camera basics in this lecture, I'm going to explain briefly how cameras work. I'm not going into too much detail because, as I stated at the beginning, you can have an amazing camera. You can know the settings, but what matters is how you see. Let's begin with a D S L r the SL. Ours are very smart. You can shoot with them. They're well off ultimate except ings. However, when we are looking for a darker mood, we should take the control a little bit over because our camera can think well, that image is too dark. The exposure triangle is the most basic concept we should mention when we are talking about the setting off, dear still are. There was the aperture shutter speed and I so aperture is the number indicating the size off the opening on the less which is letting the light in. It controls the quantity off delight which goes to the sensor off the camera. Obviously, the bigger the opening, more light is left in, the number is indicated with a letter asked. Paradoxically, the higher the number, the smaller the opening sort of the number is 5.6. The opening is smaller, Dana 2.8. It is different for each less. How wide the opening can be. On my camera the least is a 3.5 look at these photos. They were taken in different a picture settings. Here is a three point pipe, 5.6 and eight, and here is the 11th. You can see that the lower the number is the background is more blurred. So when it comes to adapt a field, Machin, before setting a low amateur number, is the key. The second thing is shadow speed, the shutter contras. The duration of the light hitting the sensor number given means a second. So if you said one opening is letting glide in for one whole second, it actually seems to take forever. In one second, Too much light is let in unless you are in a dark environment. So a picture might get overexposed black, for example, here if you lower the number for example, one for 812 or 125 one for 500 you get darker results. When you look into your camera, there is a meter telling you if your picture will be too light or too dark, and you can see what your settings were resolved. Here it is where you need to take control because your camera might think the picture is too dark. You should not rely on this meter When you are shooting dark and moody photos go for darker results, even though we can added the pictures afterwards, it is go to have a good material to work with. The third is the I. So I saw cultural life sensitivity. The higher the number, the higher the sensitivity high. I so makes the photo Grady. So it lovers the quality of the picture. Therefore, try to keep the isil number as low as possible. For example, 200 for 400. That is enough on D S L ours. Let's talk about your smartphone. You can get the manual settings even on your smartphone. So try to play around. You can start aperture shutter speed, and I saw two different smartphones have different possibilities. So look for your statics things I would mention, though the focus and the brightness you can get your subject into focus by simply tapping on it on your screen. Then you should see a legal son. If you tap on it, you can stand the picture brighter or darker that in a bit darker again. If you have a digital compact, I recommend to find in your settings how decide brightness. If you can find it doesn't matter. I will show you editing options later. Let's summarize what we have learned so far. 12. The Shooting Process : Welcome to the shooting section. I hope that you're excited to do the shooting, and it you're not too tired off the things learned so far. If you are watching this lecture, you should already have chosen your window. You're going to work with your chair, something for serving something for the background on also your subject. I have chosen delicious doughnuts to do the shooting today, but I have done a lot of shootings to do this course as I'm going to include them also in the videos. You're going to try out the things learned so far. So we are going to play. Daniels were going to shoot from Bob on the 45 degree from the front, never to play Divide. We are going to create a light. You know it is going to be actually really are playing around thing because, as I mentioned before, everyone has a different camera window schedule on weather conditions. The point is to experiment and enjoy the process. If you don't have mood right now to do the shooting, do it tomorrow, next week or later. When you have this moment. Wow, I want to shoot today and grab your camera and do it in the next videos. I'm going to go deeper in some topics regarding the shooting, but right now I'm going to show you the simplified process I'm following. When I'm shooting something, The first thing I do is that I said the scene with only one main subject and I take photos over it from different angles. I tried, roamed the 45 degree on from about. I tried to find out what works best for my subject. For example, in the case of the doughnut, the front shooting is not the best, as it is missing the whole off the doughnut, which is the most characteristic thing off the donut. So I would like to see it. Therefore, the 45 degree and above is going to work for me. The second thing I do is that I play with the surface on the background, so I look for the bad background, which fits my subject. For example, I tried his blue textile. It looks good, but I have found that it is limiting my possibilities. So I changed it. I tried out the time a letter textile, then the child board canvas, the third thing I do is that I play with light. I try different angles on shooting path. I try different angles for the light booker and even try delight. Tunnel sport is Did I add more elements? After find the best solutions? I add some more elements. I tried a cup of tea, for example somewhere doughnuts. When I was shooting to chocolate, I added the coffee bees and in each adding, I again played with angles and light. If it is that I stopped sometimes to check the photos into rivers, a setting which I like, But maybe it was out of focused or I miss something or I can improve Italy more. So I go back to that. Starting on day, I tried to work on it, so this is the simply five process and following. Now let's see some topics in more details, or 1st 1 is composition 13. Composition: composition after refined the perfect scene and the arrange or subject. We need to think about the composition off the shots. There are free rules I would like to present to you. The 1st 1 is the rule off. What's it is simply about the number of subjects we are going to use. What number off objects is always more interesting for the eye than a pair number, because your mind pairs things and it might think, OK, here are two or four donuts. Cool, but if there is one or free. Okay, here's a doughnut. Here's a donor. Wait here's entered one so the viewer spends more time looking at her picture and, well, desert point, isn't it? The second Don't use more than three different subjects, meaning you can have five pieces off chocolate lots off coffee beans and a cup of tea. But don't put in more subject as a bowl. For example, unless you're a professional master of composing your picture of you, that overwhelming for the view over and he will be lost. Try to keep things simple, but also rely on yourself. If you feel that adding another subject, we'll make your picture better try it out. The rule of thirds. When you look at your camera, you should have, or you can set your camera to have agreed. It is the winding the picture. 23 even parts but horizon, Aly and vertically in photography. The basic rule is to put your main subject to one off the four crossing points. It will again make it fourth or more interesting. If you have a horizon line in your setting, where the border line off the surface and the background can be seen, keep the line closed to the upper third or the lower third. Off the picture. I have two more bombs. Steps first, Don't place your objects too tied to the edges. It creates tension in the viewer. Try to keep even distance from it. The second don't place any object leaving the picture right in the corner. It least of you were out of the picture, and we don't want that. Try to keep a distance also from the corners 14. Be Mindful of Your Purpose: be mindful off your purpose. When you are shooting, you need to be mindful off your purpose. Are you shooting for Instagram? Then try to keep a distance as Instagram is focused on square pictures, so you should want your composition to feed a square size. However, Instagram got more flexible and you can post a non square picture. However, the thumb I agree is still using square thumbnails. And if you want your feet to look good being mindful of this right before taking the shots , so take a step away. It doesn't matter if there are other things in the picture. For example, you can see that your background or surfaces ending or your legs can be seen. They will not be seen after editing. If you will add the picture to a book and then you would like to add this picture to Pinterest, think more about creating vertical images because the interested uses were tickle images. Here is a guide about the best sizes for sharing images on social media. We will go deeper into fitting your pictures into the sizes in the editing section if you are not thinking about social media but rather printing your photos out as a fire to your business, being mindful of the purpose again. If it is going to be a flier, advertising your cram Berlet in your restaurant and you need to feed text to the picture, make vertical photos and keep your subject in the lower third off the picture if you know your purpose. But you are not sure what kind of composition would work best for you. Ask me for help in the questions and answer section. I will be happy to help you. Now let's see to further things you can involved in your composition. To make your image is even more interesting storytelling on negative space. 15. Telling a Story: tell a story. I hope you remember that in the beginning, off the course, when we were analyzing pictures we were designing between if the picture static so simply composed or active, so there was some action. I think action to the steam is not an easy thing. There are two ways to do death. First, you can notion happening in the past, bite from the donor, a cup of tea, which is not cool or these circles, noting that the cup was moved the second when the action is happening right on the picture so you can see a hand, someone is pouring something or is eating dry out this kind of arrangement yourself? I tried to do it with a donut, so I've taken a bite from it. It looks a bit like Pechman on its own, so I tried to arrange some crumbs around on Later added mournful donors, shooting and being the model at the same time can be challenging. So ask your friend to help you if you want to try out 16. Negative Space: negative space. Negative space is basically space, which is let out off the composition, or rather, the subject matter, because using negative space is actually the part off composing picture. It is used to create a balance in the photography or to draw the attention off the viewer. On this subject, negative space can rule the whole picture. Like in this case, where are the space around? The doughnut is the negative space, or here in this picture with the blueberries. Negative space can be the space off the background when we focus or subjects into the lower third off the picture. Or it can be just a small space surrounded by all the subjects around. For example, like here trying to create at least one picture where the negative space is in dominance. Don't forget, you can always get inspired on Pinterest. After you're done shooting. Let's move to the editing section 17. Finding the Best Shots: finding the best short after we're done shooting, you might find yourself looking at hundreds off pictures. Looking at all those pictures can be really overwhelming. I have a process for choosing the few perfect or almost perfect shots from those hundreds. First of all, I keep in mind my purpose. And if I have war, I create separate folders for them. Now, let's just create for other pictures, Okay? Secondly, I go through all the pictures and I put the pictures I think are okay to this folder. They need to fit the criteria, focus to subject. I want to be in focus as a focus. Light light looks good. It hits what it has to. The picture is not too bright, not over exposed or too dark composition. I don't care about the rule of thirds. Now I look just for pictures where are not big mistakes like where composition is really off. For example, where the border line is not article, the arrangement is weird. So I try to avoid pictures where the big mistakes can be hardly edited. You can choose even pictures. There are mistakes, but there is a detail you like again rely on your eye when I'm done, I might have 20% off the original number of pictures, so I repeat the process until I find the perfect 20 shots or the amount needed. Then I continue to editing process. Let's see what we can do in for the shop. 18. Editing in Photoshop - Set the Size: editing in for the shop. Make your photo fit the document that double kick to keep the transformation. Let's do it again with the setting for Instagram. As you can see, you can play around a little bit with composition again. If your picture wasn't following, for example, the rule of thirds, you can move the photo fetus that size and also to be better in composition. You complain about the size of the subject, either. For example, I can put just 1/4 off the donor to the picture. It looks pretty good, or I can place the whole doughnut, which looks even better in the resources you can find composition, greed, rector, by which you can check the composition regarding the rule of thirds Simply Donald. Fine. Open it in photo shop or pixel. Er select all copy and pasted. End of document, then fitted. It will be on you, layer. So it just easily removable. To align the subjects we agreed click the layer off the photo and move it around. The great can't beat any dimension, so you don't need to hold the shift key. Now let's see how to do a little retouching. 19. Editing in Photoshop - Retouching: editing in father shop redaction ink. All the pictures I have present it to you so far weren't edited so that you can see that editing is just a possibility to perfect feature can be seen artificial. If you feel that your picture is good as it is, don't edit it. Just let it be. What if something doesn't seem right? Try to fix it. Look at this doughnut and the marks it left on the surface. At first I thought it will give the picture of human touch, but I don't like it, so I will make the surface clean. To do this, you can use to spoke healing brush to simply synthesized and go through on the spot. Make sure it is set to the content Ever fuel if you have something that you want completely to disappear, for example, like this shadow year for this coffee bean Select theory A. With the lost so too quick shift and F five and chose the content Where field You see that after the coffee bean is gone. Terrorism Norton ized both out of focus. So click on the clothes them click all or auction for Mac and placed across the texture, which would fit that a really the most. So when using the glowing stuff you know, clothes or corporatist Arria to the place we're going to click. So in this case to the spot, which is out of focus little differences we can clean up again with the spot healing brush . Now let's move to the settings I wanted to show you. It's setting the huge you complain into colors, and by starting saturation, you make these colors more or less intense. There are two trending looks in dark and moody photos, faded look and a sharp look. You can find your picture right here by setting higher lightness or by clicking image adjustment, exposure and starting higher offset. You can make the picture more interesting by setting higher gamma correction.
