1. Supplies preview: Hey guys. I wanted to close at the video with some information about my new D I Y home screen printing course. I have all the video courses coming out June 2020 but you can currently get the supplies portion on my website. And if you want some more support and life feedback, you can hang out with me on my creative club on patriotic. So here's kind of a sneak preview of the supplies portion. It's everything that's listed on my YouTube videos and on my kit online, but it's a little bit more detailed, so we'll have the supplies to set up in the storage, and I will have video. Of course, it's just support these coming as well. So you get a sneak peek at all my designing programs. My apparel blanks. What I used to build myself screen what I used to burn them, my favorite inks. How use my set up my filtration system, my line table, how I made it and how I sell in person and then next up you'll get the set up information. But if you want to go ahead and grab that, um, pdf you can do that at Shelley creates a dot com and you can type in D I Y home screen print or just search PdF or anything with the information here, grab the supplies course and you'll be able to down that instantly. Or you can jump over to my patri on of the creative club and join in for some awesome access in her guards to That's great printing we're gonna dio chats for through discord. I have live shows on there that I don't have on YouTube and more blog's videos and tutorials in regards to creating to science and stuff with Adobe. So jump on there and you can join me. I'll see you guys again soon. 2. Creative Cloud & Nexus Font: the biggest being career back in regards to programming would be Adobe Creative Cloud. As you can get all of these APs on your desktop or your mobile device. This basically allows you to do a wide range of things, from photo to video and more. Plus, they have Adobe creative Cloud Storage, and you can access that on your desktop and through the cloud. So there's lots of options in regards to cloud storage. If you have a variety of fonts, any kind of trouble keeping track of them is that I do, so I've got over £1000 installed. The best way to sort and organize Fonds is through next this farm. I put all my commercial bonds in one folder, and then I sub divide them up into different categories that we've been creating a design. It's easy to click and grab and find something that matches. So if I wanted a bold and a um, then font, I've got that combo ready to go that are already sorted 3. Blanks Resources: so my absolute favorite brand to print on as Bella Canvas, and they have a variety of great re re sources for screen printers in the barrel makers. So this is listed on as one of the resource is on our course, and it's a fabric and screen printing tips for each of the types of I apparel that they have, which is great to know. So the favorite that I like to do is the CBC. So information with the fabric and then information about screen printing. So I use water based ink and then how to cure it. And, uh, all the information you need for a jersey or the cotton, please. So things like that and then, um, this is like a gold mine. Great. Hear a bell canvas swivel and you can go in. And all of these images are yours to use for commercial purposes. So all of their catalogue images that you would see online or in their printed books are right here, which are perfect. If you want to create mock ups or I promote the Bella Canvas brand, and I mainly go in to do the, uh, and physical and sorry Invisible mannequins. And then I usually search, like three double 01 and then or you can search a specific color. So this is my favorite shirt to print on, and I usually pull in and visit Bull Mannequin I had, and then I create the mock up from there so you can make it bigger, and then you can download straight from here. You down with the preview original Custom s. So that's how you can get that information. There's also a great resource on awful broader. So we go over here and we're going to pull up the same information so you can download images here. You can view all of the images in the gallery. It's got all the specs and the companions. When I also first started out, I would download the civil sheet as well, and that has all the information you would need and regards. Teoh coloring, sizing, fabric, makeup, etcetera. So Abella Canvas does have this same information, but it's just not color coded with an example. So if he wanted to download her out for broader, so the offer broader, you do need a tax i d. So if you don't have that you're not able to even create an account. So first you need a tax idea. To do that, you can select possible colors. Go through here down with the Banik conversion. Dumb of the high resolution, low resolution or just the color chart. Here s nous activewear has some similar things as well. It love SMS. They are Texas local. And of course, when I get them shipped from Dallas, I get, like, overnight shipping. I mainly use them when I have an order of $200 or more. Just because the shipping is pretty pricey, like 50 bucks. So you can see the specs here. A swell Hey, have a virtual designer and then, um, comparable styles to so s and s Active is one of my main places. I order shirts from for larger orders for smaller orders. I use shirt space, so shorts basis Fantastic for smaller orders. I'm saying, probably Tensy. Look, how many have done anywhere between $10 to 150 or so and they have warehouses all around the country s. So I do get them shipped from usually Dallas or Atlanta. Georgia is the main ones that they come from for me since I am in Texas, but those my favorite resource is another one. That is great if you're interested in doing the, uh, more than just T shirts. I love printing on cozies. So this is the Cuzzi, a used liberty bags of tea double 01 And they have a bunch of different colors, and there are more colors on other websites, such as shirts and book. So if you wanted to go to shirts and bulk, they do have more options for colors they're shipping. That's about the same as short space. And I'm I do have an affiliate link to that. If you guys wanted to purchase, purchase anything, Crumb, uh, shorts and book and also shorts and book, they have a deal the day so that could be helpful here, Looking for something specific. It's just harder to chairman with Deal Day usually is all right. Those were my favorite websites to order from as well as my favorite garments to print on. I would suggest finding a garment you're comfortable with and that you love printing on, and they'll promote if you have a, um, customer that wants to provide their own. I would suggest having them provide 20% extra. So that way you can practice and you can have some for mistakes. And then, if not, um, if you can convince them to provide yours, then, um, I would go that another brand that's comparable is next level. So you can always try that as well. And, um, there really great. I do love their Ragland. They're still comfy, so that's another great option to print onto. 4. Spline Setting: Okay, so this is going to be a few clips of how I place my silk screens onto my frame. And here I've got this plying with this flying roller, and I'm just going to apply pressure with the spot, this plein and holding the screen in place, I would suggest making your screen a couple of inches larger or I'm sorry, making your mesh a couple of inches larger than your actual screen. Based that way, it gives you some wiggle room he's already placed on there. I'm just re tightening them, so they're already the correct size, so just apply pressure. Place this flying around the edge until you get all I just done and then repeat with the next one I put I pull out the spying and replace it for every screen before a, uh, use emotion. And then you can use a detention center to determine attention to make sure it's correct. I didn't do that and the pictures here, but you're more than welcome to our usually kind of just tap it and feel it 5. Emulsion Coating: Okay. Here. I'm gonna show you how I coat my screens with WP Be emotion Who? Ryan it. I am in my studio bathroom with bug lights on. First, you want to mix up your emotion poured in your scope scoop coder and then, uh, you go from there. I always put gloves on because I end up getting a mess everywhere, and I protect my surface with old plastic for shipping packages to keep it cause I always in a dripping some. So basically tilt your screen Well, your scoop coder on and pull up. It's okay if you get a blob like that cause it will even out after you scoop it again. So scoop several times on one side, flip into the other side and then I turn it 90 degrees and do once I'd flip into the other side until I get an even coat without any lines in it. As you see here, here we go. Just like that on your screen is ready to go, and then you can join onto the next one. Sometimes it'll o c d. I should have stopped, but area All right. Next one just gonna scoop and go and the next one. If you needed several screens, I would just do them like this and a consecutive order until you get them all coated and it takes about 30 minutes to an hour for them to dry in a light safe environment. Of course, you don't want any UV exposure. Save your emotion by pouring it back into the emotion container and rents your scoop coder and your, um, materials with water. 6. Filtration System: Here's a quick overview of my filtration system that I made in 2019. I needed a better way to filter the discharge of my water based ink and screen emotion. The system connects to the drain in my utility tub, and it drains into the bathtub or the water hose. Research. Several D I y set up Sunday, too, but this set of is very similar to standard graphics system. All the items you need are listed in the description below. Using one of the two gallon buckets, I cut the top off using exact tonight. I'm going to use this as the removable piece so I can check the filters about taking the entire system apart. Next, put the bucket over and cut a hole in the bottom. Grab the second to going bucket and could have a bottomless Well, if you're connecting the two going in the five gallon bucket with a PVC connector, make sure the holes in the bottom of the buckets match next. Satria Sister conference of the two gallon bucket to cut the filters into circles. I trim the edges down so I can fit them into the bucket. I was able to stack nine circles into the two gallon bucket. And, of course, I had some help from my German shepherd captain. Now you need the five gallon bucket. A water pump floats, which filter socks and hose. Connect in place all items into the five gallon bucket mark where the cords and the hose enter and exit the bucket. I cut out tabs so the courting could sit flush while the lid was on top. This is where the two gallon bucket will drain into the five gallon bucket, and I don't want according to get squished, please. The five gallon bucket with a lid underneath your sink placed the two gallon bucket on top and mark the five gallon led to cut in a line the two gallon dream hole. Add your filters the to Yellen bucket attached utility sink and start filtering your discharge. I wanted to close at the video with some information about my new D. I Y home screen printing course. Of course, it's just support these coming as well. So you get a sneak peek all my designing programs, my apparel blanks. What I used to build myself screen what they used to burn them. DIY Screenprinting table: Okay, here it is. The video on my screen printing table. It's a six Platon line table that I made it home. If you want to follow the same plans I used, Click the Link in the Description Santo Shirts in the Philippines and an amazing Job Putting plans together. I purchased all of my supplies in the U. S. For less than $150. Here's the quick plans at the parts list and assembly instructions. Here's a close up of the brackets and wood screws I used to assemble my table. You can also follow the links in the description below. First cut all what decides then make two notches and peace a place Peace be into the notches secure with wood screws next attached to three Platini arms, which your pieces see. As of right now, you should have the base of your table created. Next. You'll need to add the cotton and the guide real on the top. Platini's measured about 13.5 inches by 15 inches. I do guides on each of my platinum's You left chest is 3.5 inches from the left edge and 2.5 inches from the top of the Platen. My entire designs line up 2.5 inches down from the top of the Platen. Each screen also has a center mark that aligns to the Platen. This is so I can line up digital negatives for registration purposes. The following clips will show you the placement of brackets to assemble the baseboards and flattens. I used number 10 screws one inch toe hold the brackets in place.
