About This Class

If  you have ever questioned the presence of your artistic or creative ability, my goal is to help you find it.  Our work and everyday life requires creative problem solving and looking at common things with a fresh perspective.

This class is the first in a series where we will explore doing new things and expanding our creativity.

If you are a beginner or experienced, have an analytical job or labor job, man or woman, 4 or 94 years-old, crafty or “non-crafty”, this course is for you.

This specific course will teach you how to quickly create a popular, unisex item of jewelry in less than 30 minutes. There is a good chance that you already have the materials at home. No specialized tools or skills are required. You will quickly see that this class is not just about making jewelry. Making jewelry is the means to a greater purpose.

In this lesson you will learn:

  • How we create and make art everyday
  • Scientific evidence on the benefits of creativity
  • How being creative helps us be better problem solvers
  • Color theory

M Taylor

Make the complex, simple.

I enjoy learning, teaching, and challenging paradigms. With an analytical job by day, I make time to pursue creative endeavors at night. I believe that when we can simplify complex processes in creative ways, we constantly improve and help others to grow. Skillshare provides an opportunity to share some of the lessons that I have learned.
