1. Intorduction: Hello friends. My name is split line. I am crushing for seven years. Also, I teach people for already two years. In this video, in this class, I'm going to show you how to crochet a beautiful lace square motif. This motif can be used in various projects. You can crush a table around them, tablecloth, square or rectangular. We also this motif can be used in making garments. For example, beautiful laser scarf, or maybe you want to make a cardigan. In this video, I will instruct you row-by-row, step-by-step how to crush S, paramaterize, how to join motifs together. Also, I will show you a beautiful lace edging. So prepare your yard and hope and stay with me. 2. Pattern overview: This is the pattern of the square motif that we are going to crochet today. The stitches are very simple and basic or will have chains. Here we will be changing, will have some single crosshairs like this. We will have double crusher and here we have double crush rates. And it will have in one place travel crusher. Also those dots will slip, stitches will be slipped stitching. All the stitches are very basic and simple and easy to learn. 3. Tools: For crocheting square motif, you will need the hook. I will be using two millimeter hook. Also yarn. I will be using a cotton yarn suitable size for my hook, usually on the yarn day, right? Which size of Huike matches? Also later you will need a pair of scissors and the needle. But for now, only hook and yarn. 4. Rows 1 - 5 : We will start making our motif by crushing chain of eight. So I take my yarn here short and the long run and the left-hand. And I make like a small circle like this. I hold here. I put my yarn over the index finger. I keep holding this spot. And I insert my hook. And I pull yarn through the circle nano one more time through this loop. And this way, I made the first, my first chain. We need to chain 812345678. And now to form a circle, we need to slip stitch to our first chain. Insert your hook yarn through and pull through the last group, and we form the circle. To make our first row, we need to chain Y, A1, and then we need to gratia and 15 single crochets into our circle. So hook inside Boolean through, you have two groups. And Boolean through two loops. Again, inside blue yarn, pull through two inside, pool yarn over, pull through two inside Boyar, go through to keep working this way and make 15 single brushes. I have my 15 stitches. You count your stitches, make sure that it's exactly 15. Now, to finish this row, we will slip stitch to our very first chain of one. Find it. Insert your hook right here. And this is my stage. Insert your hook yarn and pull through the loop you had on the hook like this. To start row number two, we need to slip stitch to our next test single crochet. Then we need to chain 512345. Then skip the next stage and insert your hook into them. Second one and single crochet. Like this. And you form a chain of five. Again, chain 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Skip second stage, and Sarah first, insert in the second stage. And single Prussia. This way work and you need to have seven chains of five and at the end of the row ever show you how to finish. As you see, I already made my servant chains of 51234567. So defenders of this role chain tool 12, then yarn over your hook and insert your hook in here, right here in the beginning of your 1005 single pressure. Now we will make one double crochet. So we will end up in the middle of our chain. So this is our raw numbers two, and it's done. Row number three, we will need to change 71234567. We have our chain of five under the chain of five single pressure. Like this. Again change 71234567. Go to the next chain of 5, single crochet. Again, chain seven and single gratia under the next chain of five. Keep working this way. You will have seven chains of seven. And then at the end of the row, I will meet you and finish and show you how to finish it. I'm at the end of my role. So to finish it, I need to chain 3, 1, 2, 3. Then we'll make travel crusher 1 and 2. Then insert your hook into the single Patricia and pool yarn through to pull through two. And again pull through two and you are in the middle of your chain. So our row number three is done. Row number 4. We will be also changing 7, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. Single crescendo. That. The next chain of previous row, again, chain seven. So this row is exactly say, one like the previous one. We just keep chaining seven and single crochet to the top of the chain of previous row. And this way you make seven chains of seven and the last gene I will show you how to finish that off. I have seven genes of seven, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, land single Prussia and again chains. And to finish this row we will slip stage 2, the first single crochet here, like this. And the row number four is finished. Row number 5. To work with our row number 5, we need to move our yarn under the chain of seven, so we will just slip stitch under the yarn like it. And now chain 3, 1, 2, 3. And it will be also counted as our first double crochet. Now we will be working under our chain of seven. We need the pressure, sakes, double tranches. So yarn over and weaker share our first double oppression. And second 3456. You can move with your fingers to distribute them evenly. Okay, now we chain 11. Next, the chain of seven we are working on do it again, yarn over and low pressure 7, that will crush us under the chain of 71234567. We have seven W Bush's here. Now we need to do chain 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. And we will repeat again saying under the chain of seven, when Russia seven doubled, Tricia has been changed. 17 double crochets chain five. Here's seven double crochets. So I'll keep working this way. Seven double crochets Gene 1, so 93 percent ships crushing chain 5. And I will meet you at the end of the row definition to show you how to finish, I have my last group of seven double crochets. Now to finish, this role will change to 1, 2, and we will make one double crochet. So yarn over. Insert your hook at the top of the chain of three. Both R2 and both written. And our row number 5 is finished. And as you see, that square is a started forming. 5. Rows 6 - 8: Row number 6, chain 3, 1, 2, 3. It's also counted as our first double crochet. Now we need to grow under this part of the chain. We need to go chateau double crochets. So 12. Now chain 3, 1, 2, 3. In here, find the double pushes right in the middle. It will be like a fourth double crochet here. 1, 2, 3 4, 1 2, 3, 4. Insert your hook and single Russia. Now a chain 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, single crochet on their first date or the chain of one of previous row. Now chain 5 again, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Single crochet in the middle of our, in the force, the double crochet, It's exactly in the middle of our role. Previous hole, single crochet chain 3, 1, 2, 3. Now we'll be working on this chain of phi world or share three double crochets. 123. Now chain 5 again, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Again, you are lower and in, under the same chain, we have three double crochets again, 1, 2, and 3. Now at chain 3, 1, 2, 3. And at this point we'll just start repeating saying what we did before. So chain 3, single crochet, chain 5, single crochet chain 5, single crochet, chain 3, 3, double crochet chain 5, three level groceries chain 3. So keep working this way. This is our barter for this role and I will meet you event or this row right here. I have my last three double crochets. So to finish this row, I need to change to 1, 2, and then yarn over. Insert your hook at the top of the chain of three. Pull your yarn through, then pour through to pull through two. And our role is done. Raw number six. Six is finished. Roll number seven, we chain say 1, 2, 3. Then under this part of our chain and we crush at two double crochets. One. And do. Our first chain of three also counts as double crochet. Chain 3, 1, 2, 3. Insert your hook into the third double crochet, right hero because shank three double crochets in Greece. So one and the same double crochet 23, like this. Now chain 3, 1, 2, 3, single crochet under the chain of five right here. Then chain 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5. Single crochet, chain of file of previous row. Now chain three again, 1, 2, 3 into the first double crochet, we will crush or three double crochets increase. So 1, 2, and 3 minus. Now we chain three again, 1, 2, 3, three double crochets under the chain of 5123. Chain 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Now again, three double crochets under the same chain of five, 1, 2, and 3. And we form the corner. Now chain three again, 1, 2, 3. Double crochet will be crocheting three double crochets in case. One. And so this is our father for the row number 7. Here, 3 double crochet chain 3, 3 double crochet chain 3, single crochet chain 5, single crochet chain 5, three double crochets chain 33, DevOps Coursera's chain 5, three double crochets chain 33 developed crushes. Keep working this way. And I will meet you at the end of the row right here. And I will show you how to finish at 0. I have my last three crosshairs. So to finish this row, we need to change to 1, 2, then yarn over and doable double crochet. Insert your hook at the top of the chain of three. Well your yarn over, pull through two and both row two. And row number seven is finished. Row number 8, chain 3, 1, 2, 3, two double crochets under the chain of previous row. 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3. Under the chain of three of previous row, we crush rest three, double precious. One. Three. Here will push it on the next digit second W position. And in the third stage will increase three double pressures. So 1, 2, and 3. Now chain 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Under this chain of 5 single crochet. Again chain 512345. In the first stage, we can share these three double crochets, so 123. Then in next stage 1 level pressure. Second double crochet in the next. And then go to the chain of three with three double crochets. So 123. Like this. Now chain 3, 1, 2, 3 under the chain of five readable crushes. 23512345, again, here under the same chain. Chain 3, double crochet, two, three and chain 3, 1, 2, 3. And this is how a button for our lost, it all looks like. So what did we do here? Three double crochets changed three, then three double crochets, then two double crochets, and three double crochets in one stage increase and 50, 50 chain 5, single crochet chain 5, three double crochets increase. Then two double crochet 1 and each stage 3 double crochet under the chain of previous row. Then chain 3, 3, the broker says on there the chain of five, chain 5, three double crochets, and chain 3. So keep working this way. And I will meet you at the end of the row to show you how to finish. I have my last three double crochets. So to finish this row we need to chain 512345 and then slip stitch at the top of our chain of three. And then make like one chain pool yarn. And here you can just cut it. And our motif is all done. 6. How to join motifs: In this video, I will show you how to connect our square and motifs to gather from one side and how to connect here we will have one square from two sides, like here. To connect two motifs. What we do, our last row we do from three sides. This side, we did this side and this side, this is our row number 8. And this side we keep, we will work. We'll stitch them together. This motif is a totally finished. So by finishing this row will be stitching it together. There are some points of connection I will show. So I have my three double crosshairs. This is my rule number eight. So what I do, I chain, this is my corner, 1, 2, and grab your other piece. Are there squared, find the coordinate. Insert your hook into the corner. Hold dear EI, outside like this. Hold your yarn, pull it through. And it looks like this. We have two loops on the hoop and then single crochet, then chain to again one do. And then we follow just the bottom of our rule number 8, three double crochets. 123. Now chain 1, 1, and this will be our next point or the point of connection. Find the chain of three. Insert your hook yarn, single crochet, chain one. And now under this chain, three double crochets, 12312123. Now here will be next point of connection chain 212. Find the list chain of five of previous run of the other. Squared. Pull your yarn and single question, chain to 12. Single crochet chain to repair other piece, single crochet chain. And here we will be for crocheting a 33 double crochets in Greece. 232 double crochets, one in each stage, and then three double crochets. And if this j, 1, 2, and 3, now next point of connection will be here. Chain the one finds same spot right here. Single crochet chain, one row here in this corner. We three W Bush as homework 1, 2, and 3. And chain to drip other corner of the other side. Rather than square, insert your hook yarn. Single crochet, chain, and slip stitch at the top of the chain of three. So this way, We finished the wrong number eight for one of these squares. And in the same time we connected those squares from on-site. Like this, it looks like here where our points of connection, so two squares are connected. To connect our motives from two sides is almost the same like the connect from the one side. Here we repeated saying what we did in the beginning until we reach the coordinate. Here is our coordinate and our three double crushes. This is the only difference between connecting from the two sides. Motifs. So three double crochets, and then at this point, normally you would chain 5. But what we do, we change to 1, 2. So they'll connect four pieces or from two sides. And here we already have three pieces connected. We'll be connecting across. So this we will single crescendo here. So this two will be connected and this two are connected. So be connecting across, not decide on each one, but like a diagonal. So what do we take? We take our chain tool, then we catch it here. We are yarn. Pull it tighter like this. And single crochet. Then chain 212. Let's see how it looks like this. And here again, we will repeat just what we did when we were connecting from the one side. Now will be crushing three double crochets right here. I will move it so you can see that it will be exactly same what we did before when we were connecting from the one side, just the finishing our last row, number 8. So we'll just watch previous video how we're connecting here and repeat right here. The only difference is this, in this corner, whether three pieces are coming together. That's it. Here I'm gonna motive is connected here. We connected it across with other Guan. This site is almost done, but when I reach my corner, I will show you what I will do. We will connect those two motifs like across we'll single crochet. So here are my three double crosshairs. Now we need to change to one. And to get to this, find the corner. Both the MOOC, single pressure and chain 2, 1, 2 and slip stitch to the top of the chain of 321. More than this, you will cut later. And if this point we connected our motive from those sides. And as I said, the only difference is that we connect at corners, we connect motifs across like this. That's it. 7. Weaving in the ends : Now, when you finished crushing your squares and you have enough number, your desired number of squares. As you noticed, you have your tails left. So at this point we will need, we need to hide them. So you need the needle, tapestry needle and good pair of scissors. So I have my needle reading. And this is my front side and I will be hiding the tail and my backside. So I would just make few light stitches. And the tail will be gone just in-between my site stitches. And somewhere here like this. And they think clusters one can go here I guess. And that's it. And we can cut the tail. After you will work with all your tails, the last step is you need to iron. Your squares are usually iron with steam. So they will become flat and you will see the nice button that will appear. And then we can work with aging. 8. Crocheting lace edging : After we finished crushing our squares, and then we have the number that we are happy with. Now we can start working with the edging. So what we will do, a DOT work with that edge. And we will work right here in the middle approximately of our square. And we will be changing chain 5, single crochet chain. And you can make as many rows as you like, as you think will be nice for your, for your creation. So let's start working right here at this spot will start. Now we'll be working with aging. So I need to make my first loop. And this is how I will do that. And then we'll slip stitch this first loop to our piece. Okay, I have my first loop on the hook. So now I take my piece, my squared, and I find the chain of five. This one they're right by Pete part and they need to slip stitch. So under the chin of five I insert my hook and they pool yarn and pull through the, through the loop I have. So now I'm at the point where I need to be. Okay. Now we chain 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. The middle opposite under the chain of five. Next chain of five, we single crochet. Chain 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Now here we have double crochets into the fourth double crochets, 1, 2, 3, 4. Insert your hook and single crochet. Like this. Now again, chain 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. All the ageing will contain chains of five. So it's just repetition chain 5, single crochet chain 5 single crochet. Now under the chain of three, single crochet. Chain 5 again, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Under this chain of 3, single crochet chain, 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 under this chain of three next one, single crochet. Again chain 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. And there's a chain of mixed chain. We single crochet again. Jane 512345. Again. Now we need to single crochet into them forth from the end. 1, 2, 3, 4, and hate it's 1, 2, 3, 4 for 50. Okay? Like this was single crochet. Mm-hm. Chain phi 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Under this chain, single crochet chain 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Again, single crochet chain 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Again in the fourth stage, 1, 2, 3, 4 single crochet chain 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 under this chain, single crushing gate. And G5 again, 12345. Okay, no, we reached our corner. So here we single crochet. Now Jane. And this in this row and one in the first row, we chain seven, but later on in all the next rows will be changing 51234567 under the same Jane, we single crochet. Okay, Now chain 5 again, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Until next chain, single crochet chain 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Okay, here again, let's draw 1, 2, 3, 4 forth from the end. It's easy to remember. Single crochet. Again, j phi 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Single crochet, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, debtor. The next chain of fire, we single crochet. As you see, it's repetition of chains of five. So let's review again, and you will continue this row without me. And I will meet you at the end to show you how to finish. So where we started right here. So single crochet chain 5, single crochet chain 5. And do the fourth stage, we single crochet chain 5, single crochet chain 5, single crochet chain 5, single crochet chain 5 single crochet, jane five in the fourth from the end we single crochet. Again tune 5, single crochet chain 5, single crochet chain 5 single crochet chain. And the chain of drive and the corner we made chain of seven and then just save repetition. Chain 5, single crochet. Chain 5, single crochet into the fourth stage from the end. Chain 5 single crochet, chain 5 single crochet. So keep working this way all the way around. And I will meet you here at the end of the row. I will show you how to finish this role and how to start next one. They changed all the way around my squares. Now I have my last single crochet. And here we need to connect with this part. So what we do, we change to 12, then yarn over, insert your hook in the beginning of your, in your first single crusher. Bowl through. Then pull through two and both written. And our row number first of aging is finished. Now to precede the row number two, we change phi one, do 345. There. The next chain we single crochet. Again chain 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, single crescendo to the next chain. And again chain 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Single crescendo in the next chain. Okay? And this is the way we will be working with this row number two of the aging. We will keep changing five and single crocheting all the way around. And even when we reach the corner, we will chain here. We'll chain here five. So what we'll do when we reach it, the coordinate, we'll single crochet chain 5 and single budget under the same chain and this chain of seven. So under the chain of seven in the corner, we will just single crochet twice. This is the only difference, but all the way around my chain, 5 single crochet just on the corner. We'll single crochet twice here. Single crochet, chain 5. And from the side single crochet. But all under the same chain we will be working there has just changed my life and single crochet in the medulla. Next Jane, that's it. So keep working this way and they will meet you at the end of the row to show you how to finish it. Okay, To finish our second row here I have my last single crochet and they reach to the beginning. This is my first stage. So we do a chain 2, 1, and 2, then yarn over, insert your hook in the first single kosher, both through withdrawal and both the portal and you are in the middle of your next from. So row number two is finished. And they will show you again the corner how I meant it. Here we have chain of 5, single crochet. This is our chain of seven from previous row. Here we made chain of 5 single crochet, chain of seven, then chain of 5 single crochet here under the chin of farm tuna, 5 single crochet. And here we finished our second Trump. The creator of the pattern suggests, suggests for us to make six rows. They're all identical. You just keep chains of five and single crocheting under the previous chain. And when you finish that on you reach this point. Your chain two, then one double crochet. And this how you finish their own. So you make your six rows or more or less the way you really like. What you think is nice according to your taste. Here as you, as I was showing before, chains of five. And we single crochet here under the same chain here to single crochet, single crochet chain 5 single crochet, and then next ones go. So keep crocheting your rows. It can make six rows and the way they suggest here. And then I will work with you last straw. I've done my six rows of chains. So here what we'll do when we have our chain of fluff, when we finished our previous row. We need to chain 3, double crochet. And here we have pico, It's called, it contains a three chain of three and the slip stitch then again under the same chain to a doublet. Russia's then same two double crochets, because two double crochets working under the same chain. Next chain, two double crochets because two double crochets again. So only the difference will be added there coordinate. But I will show you this is my sixth row of chaining. And the finish this role, I will chain 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. And then I will slip stitch right here into the single crochet half professor on like this. And the role of chains. Row number six is finished. If you like, you can make more rows. It's totally up to you. If you like to have more, you can have more. If you want to have less, it's okay to have less. When you have your last row of chaining this, how you finish your chain five annual slip stitch into the single crochet of previous run. Your first single crochet, sorry. So now to move to our last row of aging, what we do, we slip stitch under the chain like this. And now we chain 3, 1, 2, 3. It also will be counted as our first double crochet yarn over. And wonder book Russia. Now chain 3, 1, 2, 3 and a slip stitch into the first chain. It is my first chain. And we slip stitch. Okay. Hold it maybe with your nails if you have. Okay, now, again under the same chain we work to double crochets 12. And this is what we get. Something like this. Again, under the next chain, two double crochets. 12. Now chain 3, 1, 2, 3, slip stitch into the first chain like this. And under the same chain, two double crochets, 12. Let's do it again. To double crochet. Chain 3, 1, 2, 3, and, and slip stitch to the first chain. Then two double process under the same chain, one and two. Okay? So keep working this way. Make your double crochets and I will meet you when you will reach the coordinate when you've finished this side. And when you will need to record them, we will do it together. I will show you how to make it okay. So keep working. When we reached our corner right here, this is what we will do. Two double crochets, Jane Doe, then pico, then chain two and then two double crochet. And then I will continue the way we were working before. So here is my corner, my chain on the corner. What they need to do is under this chain and we work to double crosshairs 1 and 2, then chain to one. Then we work and we create and pico. So we chain three and slip stitch into the first gene. So 1, 2, 3, and into the first stitch of three, slip stitch. And again cento 12. And then under the same chain of five, rework two double crochets. And this is the way we create our corner. And then you just continue the same way you were working to democracy has two double crochets to WL, CSP CO2 level crashes. So here we work to double crosshairs. We got two double crochets. So keep working this way. And I will meet you at the end of this role where we started right here. I'm finishing my edging Rome. And here to my last group of double crosshairs and pico. And here my first notebook or sram. So to finish this at all, we need to insert our hook and slip stitch to our first chain of three that was counted as double crochet.
