Project Description

Brainstorm Your Story

Combine what you've learned about plot and story to create your own original idea for a novel, short story or screenplay.

Work from the passion you identified, and aim at the genre that best fits it. Think about your readers, and what they will be interested in.

Then open a file and brainstorm your story using the following steps:

  • Write a One Paragraph Summary of Your Story
  • Make the First Sentence About the Plot
  • Make the Second Sentence About the Story
  • Edit Them Until the Relationship Between Them Is Clear

When you're done, if you like, share your idea with us in the Community.

Please note that if your account is set to Private, even though I am the teacher I will not be able to view or comment on your project!
