1. Publishing Course intro lecture: Hello and welcome to my Skillshare course about publishing. So my name's Nicholas Monahan and I'm a prize-winning author from Nottingham in the United Kingdom. This course is all about publishing, and it's about how to get your work published and get it out in the world, the traditional way. But it's also about how to self-publish. It's an introductory course, so it's not going to go right into the nitty-gritty of all of those things, is going to introduce you to the concepts. It's going to take you through the pros and cons of each. It's going to help you make a decision and it's going to help you get started in both those areas. So it's not necessarily for beginning writers because you probably need to have you weren't ready and polished and ready to go in order to get the most out of this course. But it is for people who haven't necessarily published before. So they haven't necessarily had a publishing deal or self-published before. This will give you the basics of point you in the right direction to get started with those things. So without further ado, let's get stuck into the actual content. I hope it's helpful for you and I'll see you in the next lecture.
