Project Description

15 Minute Free-Write About a Body Part

Assignment

  1. Start your Class Project and tell us which body part you'll be focusing on ("my ring finger," "my hair," "my hips," etc.)
  2. Set a timer for 15 minutes and do your best to write for the entire time. Begin with the body part you've chosen and allow yourself to write freely from there. Even if you end up writing "I don't know what to write" a few times, the goal is to simply keep your hands moving until you're drawn back into a memory or story you want to tell.
  3. Spend up to 15 minutes editing what you've written, taking out sentences and words you don't like.
  4. After you've written and edited your project, please share your assignment with us in the Class Project Gallery.
