Roger L. Lee is a native Californian from Chinese parents with the given name of Lee Ching Lai. His roots have been a life long influence on his journey of self-discovery. Eastern meditation practices have revealed the oneness that is the essence of his artistic vision. His formal fine art studies were at Stanford University with master painter and printmaker Nathan Oliveira. The integration of technology and art is at the heart of his current art making process creating Digital Mono Prints. The artist notes, “The deep state of intuitive knowing is where I receive the artistic vision, which I try to express in my art, blending state-of-the art technology with traditional art aesthetics. The art that has emerged reveals an abundant variety of forms and powerful symbols with personal and universal significance.”

Roger holds a Masters of Fine Art degree from Stanford University and an Industrial Design degree from San Jose State University. His 40 years of professional creative experience includes: Hewlett Packard Company, Division Industrial Design manager: Loveland, F&T, Santa Clara, Data Systems; Roger Lee/Design Associates, Silicon Valley design consulting: SGI, Intel, SMOS, CLI, Herman Miller, CPP, HP, Pyramid, Steelcase, Lightspeed; and 12 years as a graphic design and digital fine art professor at Cal Poly University and Cuesta College.
