1. Introduction: Hello and welcome to the minimal title opener in aftereffect. I want to show and teach you a fun workflow where you can prepare an animation like that. We will work with a cool, phoned, proper shape element, key frame and animate them. Reveal them with masks and many, many more things all don't within aftereffect. It's a really fun project. No matter if you are a total beginner or know your way around by the end of this class, you will be able to create this kind of animation on your own from scratch an aftereffect. I sincerely invite you to take the class with me and have some fun designing and roll now, and I'll see you inside. 2. LECTURE 1: Hello, everyone and welcome in this tutorial. So today I would like to show you a slightly different animation. Let us start by creating a new composition. Then go to the timeline. Right. Click new solid and let us make a solid background. I'll select something dark, like blackish or grace. And okay, now I want the text to be in the middle. Let me close this layer down because we will not use it anymore. And let me head over to text I had over the text and in the Middle Island, right in a big, bold fund tutorial. Now this tutorial will be different. That's why, for example, want to use next a bold fund regular, Okay, Because I want it to be really big. And I want off course, a white color. So here in the character panel, I'm selecting a white make the title to your desired size. I want it to be really big, so I'll drag it over and make it a tiny bit bigger as I have it on the right size, I goto window a line and I'll align it in the middle and again aligned it in the middle. Now I want to pre composed this object because later I'll animate it. And I want to have the ability to change this text maybe even bigger, because it's a bit small. Boom, boom again in the middle. Now hit the text, Right click pre composed and I'll just call it main text. Okay, As I go to the main text later, I can always change the text here. This is, however might work in composition. Now let's do our first animation on the main text Press p like position and press shift are like rotation. So we have boat the position and throat irritation opened. I'll press why on my keyboard to select the pan behind Tool and I will set the anchor point on the left side because I want this animation with the text flying and animate the entire text. So left side is okay in this case. Okay, it's here. Everything is prepared now on the main text goto one second, maybe one second five frames and press a key frame here and the key from here. Okay, now I can select the key frames. Right Click key frame assistant. Easy East. Once I've used them in, I'll go into the graph. It or I was select the speed graph because it's better visible. I'll make this entire thing smaller, take the key frames. And let's maybe extent the ending key frames like this also from the rotation Did I get it ? Yep, I did get it. If you don't see the best your handle, you can always right click So the key from interpolation and change the spatial interpolation to continuous best year. You probably will have auto busier and you have no information whatsoever. But if I select a key frame, I take key fame interpolation and I want that continues busier. I will have the handles, and I can adjust each animation by hand, as you can see. So that's what I did. I did a slight change, so the animation doesn't go. It's still goes a bit up. Yep. Here. It should go down. So let me try to adjust this. We have it like this, and I need to pull this upper handle. I need to pull it. Will I be equal here? I try to be equal. Okay. Okay. Okay. Maybe I should pulled it down the bottom one. But you know what? I think I hit it pretty, right? It's pretty straight to me. And let's preview it. Boom, boom. See? Now it doesn't overshoot too much here. Nice frame goes over to the bottom. Anticipate this is the first animation you want to have. You want to have one big text in the middle and it should look like that. Okay. If you have it, please continue to the next tutorial and we'll continue from there. 3. LECTURE 2: Hello and welcome in the second tutorial. I hope you had trouble with this text. If you did, I consent to the project file. I have already saved it and it will be attacked. So we have two tutorial text in the middle. And now I want to show you something. Amazing. I'll take the main text and I'll control the duplicate control. De duplicate it two times. As you can see as I select all layers and press you, I have all keeping creepers like that. I'll go to this place, select the last one, select my left, old key and right bracket key to trim this layer. You can also go to the beginning or to the end and trim it like that. Now I'll do the same with those layers, but I'll select the old and select my left bracket key. What will happen now? You kind of have the idea that until this point I want this bottom to be visible. Let's say that I want to cut to be about in this place. That's no problem. Let's at first adjust the bottom layer because it's the most important one. I will de select it, so I only see the bottom one. Won't you have this main text selected? Select a rectangle tool and just make a rectangle like that. This will be my mask. So I have the mast like that and I want this amount to be visible. Okay, Now, once I have this mask, I will present the mask. Press control. See, I will goto the previous layer to the main text and I press control V What I did. I've copied the mask over here, but I don't want a mask to be exactly the same. That's why I select V. I double click on the mask and I'll retain this upper layer. I'll just make like that boom and I'll have perfectly equal masks. So one off the masks ends here and ends in the topside and the second mask goes in the same place but ends on the bottom. You see the difference, okay? And the difference here is that one mask reviews it and one mask reviews dis portion. Okay, now we can finally animate it. This is what I wanted to show you in the second tutorial because I don't want to go too quick and go slow about it. The 1st 2 title was to prepare the animation, and second to throw is to create the mask. Let me make it orange press enter and select mask because this will be a special mask for the bottom text. Boom and boom. Okay, now it's together linked, and it follows exactly the text. You have the item floating in. You have the bottom falling off and you have a text to be revealed. And it's very, very simple, with a simple mask which is connected to the floating text on the bottom. So let me preview the animation in its current state, and in the next lesson, I want to show you a final touch, which you can put on this entire thing. 5. LECTURE 4: hello and welcome in the very last tutorial in this animation. So this will be just fine tuning by adding in a layer. We have everything animated like this. It flows from the bottom. Ease them in. Once they are east, you can click on the graph editor and adjust the animation one by one. At first, I want the scale to the left, Left to the right, to the left, SK like that. Then the position and the rotation. Okay, they have different values. So I'll go with the position first, maybe let slow it down at the beginning. And then it will gain speed. The same for the rotation like that and everything. This is everything I wanted to show you. When it comes to adjusting this Imation, the final piece would look like that. We could comment of the screen. Then it falls off and then it falls again off. Now, if you think everything was too quick because it was a little bit, I'll press you on my keyboard and remember that you can select all key frames, press the left old and dragged him out. Now the thing I would need to adjust here out, of course, need to address the crops. Let's say that I was perfect here. Somehow entered. Everything will look OK. Okay, now the animation was a tiny bit slower. Maybe the ending is too slow. Boom. It should fall off the screen right away. Let's preview it one last time. Okay? I'll make everything bigger. This looks like a minimal title opener like a kinetic typography in like a motion element. So everything is combined in this class. But that's what I want to teach you.
