1. Intro: Hi, everyone. My name is Clarence. On this class I will teach you some techniques so you can create some beautiful artworks. I will show you how we create this exact posters. But with the same techniques you will be able to create similar works like this ones. We will start by creating a texture and father shop and then moved to cinema four D to create some simple and cool three D objects. Then we will come back on for the shop and play around with different tools and be creative . Consider this is a farm project to get started on cinema four D and learned for the shop. By creating a unique artwork you will need only cinema for D and father shop. So make sure to enroll and see the whole class. 2. Explaining the Process: Hey, guys, Welcome back. So on this part, I'm going to show you some examples of what we are going toe do and the step that we are going to take just to give you an idea. Eso basically this is Ah, not work that I did using the techniques that I will teach you. Also this one also this one on da All this other examples right here. So basically, uh, I have created some textures or some artworks that you can see right here on the then after I greeted this. Ah, this textures. I go to cinema four d, create a kind off mountain three d object and apply the material. No need them. After I do some somebody'll, uh, settings on adjustments, I get this kind off results basically down here are some of the materials with the tax or so if I apply another one on this landscape and render I get the another result. And then after I do this, I rendered this. I jump back toe father shop and maybe create a texture like this stores some artwork like this'll one. So first we're going toe, create the texture. I'm not going to create something this complicated because it will take some time but something simple just to get the idea and then moved to cinema four D to create the the the three D object and then come back on father shop to do the final adjustments. So that is for the explanations here in the next video to start working on it. 3. Texture: Hey, guys, welcome back. So as I said, now we're going to work with the texture and ah, I thought I'm creating something simple and kind of pixelated. So I search for this type that met metrics. Ah, it is a kind of like a scan cold or something. And, uh, I'm using this image. So just say this image and open it. Operate on father shop. I have already over it and created a new document by the size off. 1000 by 1000. Resolution 72 Onda. Uh, what I'm going to do next is great And you layer, you know, and place it below this scan gold on. I'm going toe to create a grade in So go ingredient tool. Right here. Andi, I have this layer right here just to give you a guide of the colors that are amusing to create the greedy. Um so basically, you will go to this part right here at the choose this default radiant. And now, if you want Ah, this kind of colors colors just Ah, for example, click on this red one and the big the color right here, and do the same thing with the others okay, to save this, you just click on you. But I'm not going to save it because I already have it. Eso click. Ok, and let's ah, delete this layer. No, I'm the only air below the, uh the the scan code on I will just supply the radiant. You can hold chief to keep a straight line and you know ah, what you can do is tow Let some white parts so go on the layer one and we need to select this layer so quick command control and click on the layer. As you can see, it selected the layer that Ah, layer one. And now let's create a new layer and we're going toe by a brush on this on this one. A white brush. So let's say like the color white goto brush tool on and go toe rush settings toe to select the square brushes. Click OK, select the brush and you can change the size right here. And I will just apply some some white brushes. This is to create some highlights on the three d object out away. After we add some added some rushes we can select now and to make this more complicated? Because it is. It appears better around the three D object. We can select all these and copy emerged and basic by command control. We now command control T, and we're going just toe toe place this. Ah, like four times in this art port, you can hold shift to keep the promotions. So let's go over this again. Command Control T. Okay, now let's hope it is, boss. Both So click on the above their old chief. Keep click on the They're below hold. Old key to drag this up. That great a copy in our command Control t and just place it right here. So this way we created the taxer that we're going to apply on the three D object. We can just save this so file, save us just David as a J. Peck Click save. Ah! And now we are moving to cinema four d toe create the three D object and make that displacement effect. So see, in the next video 4. Cinema4D: Okay, now we are on cinema four D, and, uh, we just need to create a landscape three d object. It is really easy. Just goto this cube right here. Hold click. And so like the landscape. Now you have these, uh, oldest options. Move. Scale. Earl date. Andi. As you can see, there is this. Ah, yellow dot Right here. Just click on it and track toe to change the size of the of the landscape. Or you can change it manually on this sighs barred right here with segment that segment and all this other settings that I'm not going toe toe change. To keep this simple on, you can change the camera angle right here. So after we create our three d object first Ah, there is this seed right here that changes the object. You can get different motives off the three d landscape. So now let's create the material. So go toe, create you material or just double quick right here. Ondas, you're going to see you have all this options right here. You have checked the reflect aunts and the color. Let's uncheck the reflectiveness. Let's leave just the color at the moment. Onda Now on this color option, you have this texture. Just click on the Sarah and we're going to load the texture that we created like No. Okay, so now that you apply the image first, let's apply it on the three d object. Eso just drag it on the plight right here. Or you can apply it here on. Just click on her interview to see how it looks so as you can see it. Ah, it doesn't create those three d that three d effect, that kind of displacement. So to do that, it is simple. Ah, first, let's ah, said the camera angle. Okay, so double click again on the material and you just need to goto this displacement. And now we need to apply the texture that we created again. Okay, let's let's see how it looks. It starts to create some displacement, but of course we need to play around with the strength and heart. Also, we can check this a polygon displacement, for example. Let's change the high to like 30. Yes, we're going to see ah, it creates a lot of displacement. If the render takes a lot of time, you can track this sub polygon displacement and see the difference. It is like much smaller. Let's say so. I'm checking this for a moment. The I think the strength is too high. So let's ah, make it like 35 on. Let's see how it looks. Yeah, I think it looks much better, right? Like that. Eso let's exit this for a moment. And, uh, now what we can do is ah, place. Ah, light object. So goto this area light and here's the light source. So let's assume this. Let's rotate so goto they rotate tool. Okay, let's see how it looks now with the light source, it still looks kind of dark. So we just go to the light and the change the intensity, like maybe 200% and maybe change the shadow, the color like something purple about. Let's see how it looks now. Yeah, I think it looks much better. So now what we're going to do is ah, render this one and then change the seed to get some different kind of three D objects and render them so we can use them later on photo shop. Then I'm going to show you the runners render settings for this object. So you render this without the background. So see you in the next video 5. Rendering: Okay, Now we can go toe Orender settings and on the output Do you have the width and the height? Let's ah, set the size like, ah, maybe three thousands just to have a big image. Now go to save. Let's change the former former toe PNG. And make sure you check the Alfa Channel so it renders without a black background. And now go to these three does to save toe set a folder where you can save the the image. Okay, let exit this. OK, so now let's set a camera. So go to camera and click on this part right here to make it white. So it creates a fix, a position of the camera. Like if we uncheck this, it goes back and they would drag it. It goes where? The way position the camera. So let's surrender view for a second. So it's we see how it looks, it looks good. So now we can render this or maybe a zoom out because the interview is only on this part right here. So it doesn't include the this kind off darker parts. Okay, Now, let's Ah, let's position. Can the camera and that surrender this so rendered a picture of your So we need to wait for the Orender to finish and then, ah, change the seat of the mountain to get a a different video object and do like the three or four objects to have them to use on father shop a few moments later. Okay, let Texas this hand. Ah, reposition the camera. Maybe on let's go toe the landscape and change the seed. Also, we can change the size by clicking this doctor I tears. So make sure you are on the more stool to make this so either on da Now, before we click the surrender, let's go to render settings and just change the name so it doesn't replace the image that we created. So from one, um renaming. Renaming this too, that exit that the let's render again. 6. First Poster: and now we can come back on Father Shop toe, create our artwork As I said, we can create to kind off off works with this texture. First, I'm going toe to show you how to create something similar to this with the texture that we created because it is simpler and then we are going toe make something like this with our texture. Okay, so it's come back on father shop. So Goto file new Let's at the size Resolution 72 Karamo, Dodgy B and quick create. Now let's open our three d object that we created. So file open and he are damage that we created. Let's open them all. And basically what we're going to do is just ah, copy them and pays them on our artwork. OK, now it's time just toe kind of reposition them and scale So command control D maybe we can set it over here on DA. Basically, what we're going to do is just cover all this art bored with our texture so we can place this ah below command control Tito triple toe to scale. It doesn't hold chief to keep proportions. Okay, So after we cover told the our document our art board. We can create a new layer or just go to this. Ah ah Adjustments right here so we can play around with the adjustment like brightness and contrast also with the color balance. Let's make it more blue. Also, to customize this also, you can play around with a huge saturation on another thing that you can do is Ah, that's great. You earlier Let's go to select color range and let's select the highlights. So Goto highlights right here. You can play around with the fuzziness and the range No click, OK? And ah, now we can applies. Ah, radiant on the highlights is this Select on. You can play around with the color mode like make it the darkened or just see what looks Ah , looks better And another thing that you can do is again go to these adjustments and goto Grady int map on And here you have the option of radiant map and basically it customize the color based on the radio. I have all this great deals right year that I've created. Of course you can create your ingredients, so it looks really cool with all this. Ah, these colors. So just create the different ingredients and apply the Grady int map just to see how it looks. Let's click OK on this warm and off course, you can, ah, change the mode from normal, for example, toe overlay. And, uh, you get different results for this hard light Looks really cool. Anyway, I'm leaving it. Ah, normal. And you can play around, as I said, with a boat in the radiant map. The greatness that you can choose so you can use this kind of image for different options, like you can use it as a poster background. Oh, are just place ah logo in the middle like I did on my example right here with the adidas logo are the night Go on are like a slogan. So yeah, help. The techniques that I use were helpful Do. And now we're going to work with the artwork. So we're going toe great Something similar toe this one. But with our texture and our three d object that we created. So see you in the next video 7. Starting the second poster: Hey, guys, Welcome back Now. I have created them not work some days before, just whoever as a reference while we create our art artwork. Basically, it will be something like this, so you can have it as a reference while you work on. And now the first thing that I need to do is tow. Find the kind off portrait or image. Basically. Usually I go to this. Ah, pixels. Oh, are you can goto on Splash that come. Also, I find some image on Pinterest, but I'm not sure about the copyright, so the pixels image are cooperate free. So yeah, basically use this image. But of course, you can download different image or use eerie our own image. Let's download this for free. And now let's go on father shop. Let's create a new document. I will use the same stars as I did well with the other one. So let's quick create. Now that's open the image that we downloaded. So I'm placing it right here. Yeah, maybe a scale this to make it bigger and rotated a little bit. Okay, uh, now we need to remove the background. It is easier with this kind of images that have ah, playing color background. So first, let's ah restaurants layer. Let's create a copy of this just in case we need it. And basically what I'm going to do next is go to select color range and make sure you are on the sample color. And just like the color of the sky, let's play around for the fuzziness so you can see right here that it ah is selecting the sky, which is the white part of this image. So let's click. OK? And now go to erase, tool or just raise this part. Select. I need to attract this to see the changes. Now let's de select. As you can see, there are some parts off the image right here. I can use Ben Tool, So if you don't have ah, this image which has ah, simple background to remove you can use on the mantle. Let's close the bath on da right. Click Big selection. Click OK, and dill it. Now that's I'm check this. Let's position did when you to remove this one right here. Okay, so let's ah have these image as a reference off what we can do next on basically I'm just applying ingredient right now, so create a new layer and place it below the image. And now Goto Grady in tool on dime applying this Grady in by holding shift to keep a 45 degree. That's great. Another Grady int here in the middle on. Now I'm going to make this kind off picks the lady. Let's say like this one. So I just need to goto image adjustments and goto bust arise. And now you're gonna play around to the levels. Now click. OK, and now we can play around with the adjustments off the image. That's great. Copy, just in case we needed. Now goto this adjustments options like we used on the first poster. So let's go to brightness and contrast as this effect like the contrast or brightness on all the posters. So we needed to apply on the on the image so we can go toe layer and create clipping mask. This way it applies the effect only on the layer below. Um, now let's ah create in Hewlett New ah adjustment layer. I'm playing around with the curves. Basically, you have the sergeant be red, green and blue option that you can play around with, Um I usually just Ah, play around with all these levels and see what looks better just to create some shadings or some some highlights. Ah, so I get a different colors from the from the image. Okay, software. After we play around with the curves that get some highlights or some different colors from the image uh, we can go toe you situation on, increase the saturation or play around with you. Yeah, we can ah, make it like this toe. Appear this green and kind off purple or pink anyway Depends on your image. Because, of course, for another image you from using the same curves that I used, you can get another result. Um, now what we can do is ah, let's first let's see this as ah, as an example, you can see that I have applied the kind of Grady int on this part right here on how you can do this is create a new layer on Go to select call a range. I'm just ah, pick apart the highlight of the image. Increase the fuzziness on duh click. Ok, now you can apply the Grady int, so make sure you're You have Ah, clipping mask option eso it applies on the on the image. Now let's ah de select on. The next thing that we can do is we're going to add these three d objects that we created then Ah, at the stars and some other elements. So see you in the next video. 8. Adding displaced elements: Okay. So first, I think we need to make this image bigger. So let's select hold shift as, like, the above image. Come on, control T. Let's paying this image bigger on. Let's reposition it. Okay, Now we are going toe copy paste our three d objects. So let's go to one of them. Command Control. See And command control V. Let's Ah, reposition it. I'm position it above the the image Combat control Tito resize it Also, I will pay some other three D objects that are placing these below the image. So make sure you are above the layer of the image and again the same process. Just scale it. So as you can see right here, I have ah faced also toe other three D objects and pay them black and white. So let's do it on our image tool. So let's ah, copy this by holding gold key and drag down to make it black and white. It is really easy. Just go to image adjustments and go toe black and white. And you can play around with the aled, these colors so you can make the shades of the colors darker. Click OK. And now do the same thing. On the other part, I'm just coping this so it is easier. So Command control T and that's repositioned again. Maybe we can change the position of this one to let's make it kind of more diagonal. Now we can get some some shapes. We can create a new layer and go to laser tool and just create some some shapes based on the three D objects this and just apply a greedy int. Now that's the select, and you can copy this and drag it up. Command Control T. And so here you have two images one below and ah, I'm making this darker so I can go toe filter noise and that noise Click. Ok, let's making darker. Okay, Now let's copy this again. Let's go to both of these and hold shift to create a copy and ah, let's position it on our next on our left part that Okay, so let's see our image for a reference. Now what is left to do is ah, 12 this kind of stars on the dark parts and that some geometric shapes than at this kind off rainbow lines and play around with the adjustments 9. Stars and Geometric Shapes: Okay, So for the start of this image that I have done downloaded toe get the similar image that this to just go toe Google images and search for this Hubble deep field on you get a lot of results that you can download and use. Okay, so now let's I'm going to copy this. The star parts. Come on. Control C and command control V eso. Let's reposition it. I'm placing it. The on the adjustments off the of the image somewhere right here. And as you can see, it applies all over the limit. So I'm clicking Command Control T, and I'm scaling this a little bit. Now we need to change the mode from normal tow something like, uh, screen, I think or lighten. I'm using screen on now. Goto image adjustments, Hugh separation. To make this like one color, you can increase the saturation and play around with the hue. Yeah, I'm making it like more being. So it's adjusted. The hairs like Okay, if you don't want to want don't wanted to apply all over the picture, you can click on this clipping mask right here at their mask on basically going brush tool . Let's use around tool around the brush. Let's make the hardness, like 40% change the size and make sure the color is black, because by having the color black, you can delete the part that you don't want on the stars. So make sure you are selecting on this white part and just, ah, apply the brush on the part that you don't want the stars to be. Okay, we can paste again the stars image so we can apply it on the background. So let's change the moto the screen again. Let's resize it and the same thing to change the color. If you don't like the colors, you can check the colorize to increase the saturation and make it like one color on click. OK, I think I can change the month from skewing screen toe like Leonard Dodge, and they are kind of lighter the stars. So now we can that sometime geometric shapes. So that's great. And you layer and I'm going toe this, uh, elliptical market tool and whole chief too great a regular ah, round shape circle. Now go to Grady Int and I'm going to apply ingredient now let's diss select and I need to make this brighter. So I go to this consideration, increase the lightness, also increase the separation. And if you want, you can apply the pasteurized effect again. Okay, lets reposition this. Now you can cope with this by holding old key and dragging, and I'm going to reposition somewhere above the the image. Andi, I'm scaling this down. Okay? So after we added the stars on the round shape, now we can at all this, uh, this great aunt and work with the adjustments. First, maybe we can place this Soltis kind of three d objects down because maybe it looks really message. So I'm selecting gold. The objects. Yeah, I think it looks much better right now because it gives some some space toe the artwork. Okay. Now, ah, we're going to add the the the other elements and play around with the adjustments 10. Finalizing: Okay, so now it's time to add some Grady in lines and just ah, work with the adjustments. So great. A new layer on Goto Grady in tool. You can hold safe toe, create a 45 degree line. This Sorry. Let's ah, make this in a better position. Let's base one here and also in creating another one below the image right here. So let's create a new layer. Okay? I'm deleting the part right here. So now I'm just going to apply the pasteurize. And by the way, if you have created a poster you can upload it has a project, so I can see it and give feedback. And also I can share it on my instagram page. Also, a good review would be appreciated. Anyway, Let's ah, go with the adjustments of brightness and contrast. Yeah. Now let's ah, see the who situation. It's always hard to choose from from this, but yeah, I think I'm living it as it is now. Let's ah see the color balance and make it like more blue. I think so. I think that's it for this tutorial. I hope you find this helpful. The the techniques that use you can apply it on your poster and maybe create something better or unique. If there is something that you didn't understand or you didn't get it, you can just send me a d M on Instagram and I will do my best to reply and help you. So I also you can suggest me what kind off tutorials you would like next party for the next tutorial because I will try to do more often. So thank you for watching and see on the next tutorial by
