1. Intro: Hi. My name is Clarence Maleta. I'm a graphic designer. I recently started a challenge with myself. Toe create on artwork everyday for a year on instagram. And on this class you are going Teoh, learn how to create one of the posters I recently uploaded. You are going to learn to create this exact poster wear going to you Cinema 40 and father shop. To do that, you will learn some new techniques to create this artwork. So make sure to unroll and see the whole class. Thank you. 2. CINEMA 4D: Hey, guys, Welcome back. So this is the first page that opens on cinema for the and what we need to do now is create a landscape. So how we do that? It's very simple. We just goto this cube right here. We can't debt and go toe landscape This way. Cinema four d creates a default landscape for us. Next we need toe change its size. So to do that, we have some options here. Like scale, Rotate or move Now we're going to use scale tool so quick on that and Ah, dragon, This read angle here, This makes the the landscape larger. Now, here are some viewpoints you have. Ah, this options here toe move up, down, left or right. You have this other option here to zoom in or zoom out and ah, this option to rotate. So let's zoom out. And the next thing we need to do is make the landscape higher. So again we go to scale tool and we are going to use. And these Ah, this orange point here. So we just drag it up and the landscape is higher. We can use other points off the dimensions, but I think I think it is. Okay. Another way to change the size to change the size of the landscape is ah by going toe these options here and you can do it manually. But I think that scale tool makes it easier for us. Now, you can also experiment with these these options here. But I want to keep it simple, so I just will leave it like that. We are just the changing the default landscape that cinema four D creates for us. So to do that you go toe is this option here, seed, and just see what cinema four d creates for us. You can see which one is better for you. I think this one is Okay, so I will go with this one. You can see all the other models that cinema four D creates for you, but I think I'm going with number seven. So now we need to add the Cube. So again we go to the same option and go to Cuba now the same way we did with landscape we're doing with the Cube. So go to scale tool okay and making bigger. Let's make some changes on its dimensions. Now let's Let's move it up. So we goto these option here and just drag it up. I think it is. Okay, so this way we, like, merged this. Ah, the Cuban, the landscape. We are just ah, adjusting then with each other. So let's see, I think this is OK, So the next thing we need to do is create materials for the landscape and for the Cube. To do that, you go toe, create new material, double click on it. And now we are creating the material for the landscape. We go to color, texture and used radiant. This way we are choosing the colors for the landscape. Cinema four D creates two collars here, but we are adding some others. So just click on double click on that black color and choose the color you like. I'm going with some bluish collars. You can choose your own colors anyway. Don't think too much about it because you can. You can change it anytime in father shop. Just make sure that the colors sweet the the colors and go well with each other. I think this is OK. Now drag toe the landscape and get a preview render so this way we changed our colors. But another effect I want to add on the material is ah, reflectiveness. So we go toe to reflectors. Quick ad and this option here, Backman. Now go toe texture effect on spectra. Now let's see what's the difference? So again dragged to the landscape and get a preview. See, this looks much better, But again, I think we need to lower the intensity of it. So again we go to it, click on Spectra and make the intensity 100%. And let's see the preview. Yeah, I think it looks much better. But another thing we can do to make it look again better. We goto this option here and click on physical sky. Now this options, this option is you can see creates Ah, sky and the sun and it brings brightness toe the to the landscape. So let's see Have a preview now the same way we did with the landscape. We're going toe do with the Cube. So we're going to create material material for the Cube. So again we go to create new material double quick on it. We are going to make this material very simple. We're just going to change the color of it. So click on color. I'm going to make it like a dark gray. You can choose your own color. Now drag it to the Cube. Let's get a preview of it now. The next step we need to do is get rid of the background, because when we render it, we don't want the render Toby seen so we can add another background on father shop. So to do that, we click on physical sky because it is the background we need to get rid of go toe tags cinema for D tags and compositing. Now it's very simple. You just need to uncheck the seam by camera option and now the background is gone. The next step is just, Ah, go to render settings said the size I'm going with 4000 and 33 thousands now go to save on da goto. The foolery want to save it. The four month is PNG and make sure you check the Alpha Channel. Now we are ready to render it so just go toe render and just wait for it toe to finish. So we're just going to wait for it to finish and ah, that's it for this. This part of the tutorial Now we are going toe for the shop, So make some other changes and make it the more beautiful, so sealed there. 3. Containings on Photoshop: Hey guys, welcome back. So as you can see, we are on further shop now Here is the the surrender we created. As you can see, the background is gone. So with what we need to do now is just the copy. This creates a new document that said the size you can choose your own size. The resolution. I'm going with two thousands. Make sure the color mode is RGB and click OK now just based it on. Let's position it not We need toe. Feel this. This part's here. As you can see, they're empty. So to do that, we just goto filter and liquefy We are are on We are on this affect here You can, Ah just the size and just drag it. Just drag it on the position you need to feel now click OK and see the the lamb departs our field. Now we need to create a background. So creating new earlier and ah, position it below the landscape. Let's rename it so for the background were just ah using the Grady Intell Big two colors. I'm going with some blue and purple and just supply the Grady into the background for editing the background. I'm going Teoh, apply an effect. First we need to copy this landscape. So to do do that you just keep the old key. Hold the old key and just drag it down now lets you name it. Now the next step is we're going toe filter, distort and use this affect here We're make sure the angle is on maximum click. Ok, now I'm going to apply again this affect. But you don't need to go again Here. Just click on that. Let's do it again. I think it's OK. We just need to scale it. So hold command, Control key and last T You can hold on Steve to keep the proportions now I'm not holding shift. I want to make it so I want to center it. Ah, on the other cube. So I think this is OK. Another effect I'm applying on. It is Ah, Goto filter, distort and zigzag. You can play with these options here and see what you get. Greek. Okay. I think it looks that nice again. We're going to copy these backgrounds or just to hold old and drag it up. I'm gonna make this below layer. Ah, a little larger. So let's scale it again. Command control. Lusty hold chief to keep the proportions. I'm doing this Just toe. Feel the background more with this effect. Now, the next step is to get rid of these black parts. To do that, we go toe, toe, feel toe, select Qala range and just like on on Ah, black color. Now click OK, as you can see for the shop or this option, select all the black parts. Now we need to create a new layer. Make sure it's below the landscape so it doesn't effect on the Cube. Let's pick a color. I'm going with some purple click. OK, now go to this pain back it'll and just caller it. Let's diss select. Now I'm gonna add some brushes. So, as I said before this took, this part of the tutorial is more about the contain ings off this artwork. I'm not very concerned about the colors we are We are doing that on the next part of the tutorial. So again, just goto brushes. I'm going to use some cloud brushes. I used this Clouds by Mila Click OK, you can download them for free. Now let's change the size of it and, ah, let's think the color. Let's move it up. Let's change. Let's use another brush and see what we get. Maybe change the color. No, Let's undo that. Yeah, I think it's okay This way. Maybe lower the positive. Another thing I can add or I usually add on my artworks are some some stars. So let's open stars picture. You can get a lot off pictures like this. Just search on Google stars or something. So let's go up it based. Let's position it under or below the landscape. Scale it to scale it. You can also Goto added, transform and scale Hold on shift. Now let's change the mode of it. So from normal, we go too light on your screen. But the I'm going with light. And so that's it for this part of the tutorial. On the next tutorial, we will work with the collars, so seal there 4. Coloring and Finalizing on Photoshop: Hey, guys, welcome back. So on this part of the tutorial, as I mentioned before, we're going toe work with coloring, with adjustments. So mostly we're going to use the some of these options here, So let's start with it. First, let's create a copy of the landscape just in case. So hold on old and drag it up. Let's work with this layer here. So what I usually do is go to image adjustments on Goto hue saturation. Here's where I work with coloring. I'm making the I'm changing the saturation color. I think it looks much better with more saturation. Now let's see here what we get in different coloring options. This is all experimental, so you can pick your own colors. I think I'm going with this one, or this one here is very difficult to choose. Or maybe this one I don't know. I'm keeping it more like blue so quick. Okay, next you can work with the levels. You can make it more darker or bright, more brighter. I think it's OK. So now I'm going toe color This this cube right here I don't like this this part like right here, I'm going to make it like more blue, so it matches the color with a surround surrounding of it. So let's create a new layer that speaker color and now use the brush tool. Go. Let's use this is here and just call her over it now. Ah, we need we go toe layer and create clipping mask. Now we change the mode of it from normal toe color. Let's see the difference. It looks much better now again, let's go to Landscape Player Selected Goto Image adjustments. I think I need to work with color barons. Let's see what we get in different options or different levels and just go with this, Uh, just go with the one you like. So again, this is not like, ah, exact options. You need to choose you just experiment with these them go with the one you like. I think it is OK like that. Now let's work with the background. So first, what we need to do is ah, merch or, ah, make this background Lears as one. So click on layer on this layer, Hold on shift, click on the last there and ah, first, let's make a copy of them just in case, we need them again. So hold on Old Key and just drag them up Now, right, click and click on merge Layers. Now the we have this background as one picture. As you can see now we are working with the color of background. So again we go with we go to image adjustments. Let's try this tool, brightness or contrast. Let's see the difference. I think it's so cared like this. Now again, let's go toe hue saturation. In this case, it's very difficult to choose. But ah, I think I'm going with these numbers here. Let's make I think it is OK like that So quick. Okay, now we go. Toe color balance. Let's make it more more blue. Okay, To get to get together to vivid effect, click. OK, now let's see what we can do with the. The brush is so critical. Brushes lets you name them, can go to image adjustments. New situation. I think it is okay like this, like this. So let's see what other things we can do. Let's try toe to apply some some colors on the let's landscapes or create a new layer. Goto brushes, so I'm applying some purple colors, although it looks like do because it's under this blue coloring. So let's drag it up. So now let's go toe color. You can see the difference. I think it, ah matches more with a background. You can change it. Let's speak to this color. No, I think it was okay with you. Maybe we can add some lights under the landscape and just click on the screen. Let's make it bigger and go toe screen. Yeah, I think it looks much better now. One thing I usually do when I almost finished the artwork is Ah, select all of it and cope emerged. Onda paste it, Make sure it's up of all the the other layers and again go play with this options here. Yeah, this makes it more VV term work like dreamy. Let's see the difference in school with levels. Yeah, I think it's much better. You can see the difference by on tracking this. So, guys, that's it for this tutorial. I hope you you learned some techniques to create your own artwork or poster or anything you want, or just do it. Do it for fun. You can print it, put it on your wall.
