About This Class

On this class you will learn some simple techniques to create a beautiful trippy animation using Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro

You will create a texture on Photoshop and then use it on Adobe Premiere Pro to create the animation.

Then we will use some simple techniques to make the artwork more trippy and dreamy.

During the following of the class you can experiment with different options or levels as the process is more experimental and it gives you the freedom to explore and get different results.

So I would really love to see what you create after you learn these techniques.

1. Intro: Hi. My name is clients. I'm a graphic designer. Ah, I recently started the challenge to create an artwork every day for a year on this class you will learn to create an animation similar to the one I have created on my instagram page on the daily artworks I have created. Basically, you're going toe learn to create this animation. But with the same techniques, you can create similar animations like this. First, we will work on Photoshopped to create Ah, the poster, the texture. And then we will go toe adobe, premiere pro and work with the animations. You will learn some new techniques to create this dreamy affect or like trippy animations. So make sure to unroll and see the whole class. Thank you. 2. Explaining the Process: on this part. I will explain you what we're going to do next. Uh, I have some examples on what I'm going to do. You already have seen the final Ah, work on the intro, but I haven't started yet. So basically, I will show you some similar artworks. Oh, our animation likes like the one I will do so I can explain the steps we are going to take . So here is an example. Let me soil intimately. So basically Ah, First we will work on on father shop. We will create this texture This like dreamy effect with the different colors, you can choose your own colors. I usually yet like ah, purple and blue Also, we will get ah picture like ah similar to this one where the images like black and we will remove the background. Then the the next step is Goto Adobe Premiere Pro Ah and ah create the animation. Let me show you another example. Wait So basically the same thing First grade the texture at the the image Then go back Go back toe, toe adobe premiere pro toe Create the animation. So the first thing we need to do is ah get a picture like like this with black, uh, like a cigarette. Soto do that. I usually go toe on sprayers dot com I I found this. Ah, this picture. Uh, I think this is okay to use for for the purpose. We we need it. It's a picture from Joshua early. You can download them for free. Here you can use different image, but basically with the same content are same idea. Here is another example You can get this this black part. Ah, let me show you. Or maybe another example here this one. So you just go to a splash. That comment you will find ah different ah pictures. Ah, that you can use for for the purpose we are going to do. So that's it for this part. You just download the image you need And then we will go toe father shop to create the texture. Ah, at the make the render at the image from that we downloaded then goto over premier. So see on the next video 3. Finding Resources and Image Rendering: Hey guys, Welcome back. So now we are on for the shop and ah, as I said, we will at this this black part O r new image that we will create and at the texture. So let's ah, copy just this black part. So first we need to select it. Let's make this layer from background and hold. Hold on, drag it up to create a new layer just in case we need again the older one. Now we need to select only the black part. So let's go to image adjustments. Go to levels I need to create, like a contrast. So it's easier for me to get the the selection of the black part. Click. OK, now maybe select. Ah, make a quick selection for the black parts or you can just delete this one. So let's delete this. We need to uncheck the below layer. Now we go toe select color range and select. Ah, black color. Just click on that and click OK now copy. And ah, based here you still you have some shadows here, but no problem. You can you can ah di leave them manually. So now let's Ah, let's copy this not all of it may be this part here. GOP and create. Ah, new document. Let's make a size big size maybe, Or this one is okay. Make the Resolute Resolution 200. Make sure the color mold is are to be and click. OK, now, just based it. And Ah, here you have the the image we got from on Splash. Let's make a copy of this just in case we we will need it again. 4. Creating Texture and Preparing for Animation: Let's uncheck this because our purpose now is toe Create the texture. So let's pick some colors. Do some random colors you like. I usually go with blue or purple. Just put them in random places because we will apply. Ah, liquefy effect on it. Just try toe create. Ah, a beautiful combination Off colors. Usually I pick blue and purple. I like this ones. Ah, great. Ah, nuclear below lawn. The one we are We were working. Click on that and create Ah, ingredient Goto, Grady and tool Just toe toe. Feel the parts that are empty here, if you can see. So just supply the ingredient. Now go back to the to the Lear when where we were working and at some other colors Maybe change the size. Now we can apply some effects on it. So let's copy this just in case we needed again. Now go toe filter and liquefy. Use this effect here. Forward warp tool change the size and just supplied on the other colors. Just use this until you get like a nice shape. You like. We are going toe, apply some other effects, but ah, I think it's okay. This way. Greek Okay, now I can use another effect. Goto, filter, distort use This wave effect just said just the the size here wavelength. Let's see this one. It's ok. Just ah small Ah effect Now another thing. You can do it again. Goto, filter, distort And ah, well, don't make a like a big angle. Just a little bit click Ok, I think this one looks nice. Another thing we can do is make it like more shiner So just supply some Some colors on it change the size, maybe it. And now you go from normal toe color Dodge I think again you can apply this colors here it gives Ah, nice affect. Yeah, you can see the difference. So I think we are done with the texture. Let's see, Let's check the layer The image we got from Splash Let's reorder it now You can see it looks It's look, it looks nice. Maybe we can ah judge the adjust the size of the Lear. Click on this tool here and just Ah, move it down. Click Enter. Yeah, I think it looks much better now, So yeah, this Ah, I think we We finished the first part on for the shop. Now we're going to create the the animation on Adobe Premiere Pro so But first we need to to save it you are going toe to save it in different parts, like different layers. So let me show you and check the this silly What? This black part and check this lier first, save just this image civis save it as ah p and G or G d p a. Now and check these, uh, these layers and click on ah silhouette And make sure the other leaders are unchecked. Goto file Save us. No, just just wait for the saving Cool toe over. Yeah goto file Save us. And on this Ah, on this one make sure you are on P and G mode. Note the JP egg because it will leave the background white We don't want that. So make sure it's PNG now save it and ah, and you are done with Ah, with the father shop. So that's it for this part. Now we will go toe adobe premiere pro and the work with the animation. So see on the next video 5. Creating the Animation: Hey, guys, Welcome back. So now we are on Adobe Premiere Pro and ah, this is the first page that opens on Adobe Premiere Pro. So just give it the Documenta name. You can set the location year and just click. OK, now this is Ah ah, this star The pages are the parts that that are open on Adobe Premiere Pro. Ah, you need to go to this partier to import media to start Just double click on that and go toe the so the older you'll you save the the image images We agreed that on Ah, for the show. So here we are. You have these two images just like them and click open now Just import the them to this timeline. Just just drag it here. You have the the time You you want the this layer, Toby on the timeline Also, let's drag the render. Just click out and drag it to the to the right. And here you will start another animation again. Ah, copy. This could make sure toe hold Alton dragged to the left. So basically, this is the idea. So tohave Ah, continuous animation. You have to create these short parts of the liquefy render. Ah, Anyway, let's ah, let's jump toe to action so you can understand better. So let's keep just one part. Soto had the effect. You goto this partier effects if it doesn't show you goto window and make sure you have selected I fix and just ah search for ah Kerbala and displace and click on that and drag it to the liquefy. So now you go toe effect control here. And if you'll scroll down you you have this this effect that we just added. So, no, we're going toe create like a timer or ah, just go to this amount. Here, click on that. So basically what this does is you create two points like 11 on the start and one on the finish and you change the amount off the turbulence. And this creates the the animation. So let's get started. The 1st 1 I'm I'm doing like a a simple turbulence, our animation. So you get the basic idea, then we So we're going toe work just to this amount here. Then we will use even the size of the complexity. So we clicked on this. Ah, timer here. Like clock. Ah, Icahn. Now we go back, we go to the to the finish off this liquefy you can move this toe create. Ah, a closer view. You can use this this one year. Now we are on finish off this liquefy and you are just going to make the amount bigger you can. I'm just choosing ah, like a random size. You can experiment with this and get different results. So now we are on the start of these liquid site. So the the last ah amount was 400. So we will do 400 the first amount of the last layer. Now we can use even this size effect. Just click on that and leave it 100. Now we can go to the two, learned of this and change the amount in the size. Maybe make the amount 300 make the size 200. Maybe as I said, you can choose your own numbers. I'm just making this fixed numbers. So it's ah easier for your tour to remember. So let's play. See this? Let's make the render the length bigger. Let's see. So it created Ah, the continuous animation. Ah, As I said, you can use different numbers. You can use the complexity and the mound and size in different, uh, different amounts and get ah different results. But the basic idea is that so. So now we are going to make some final changing Changing, sir, we will add some a new effect on the soundtrack. Basically. So first, let's at the another effect. So to do that, you go toe new item and adjustment layer, click OK, and just drag it to the to the top. Make the length. The same is the animation. Now we're going to add the effect on top of these other layers. So you just search for color, color of balance, this one here and drag it toe adjustment layer Now the same way we did with the turbulence . Ah, the same we're going to do with this. Ah, other effects. We are going to change the yield the the same way we can do on father shop the hue saturation when we get ah where we get different color color's. So just click on this Ah, like clock icon Here, make sure you are on the on the start of the video, the animation then now goto the so first we will leave it zero that you Now you go to the to the finish of the animation and make it like ah I think I will do. Or 100 or 110. You can make it bigger. But I think this I like this. I like this. Ah, I think it's okay. This way. So let's play it. Yeah, I think it's OK. So another thing we can do to make it like more trip here to get the of feeling from it is at the at the soundtrack. So again, just double quick on this part here and ah, at their your soundtrack I downloaded Ah, song Parasite Next to you, it's ah, it's a song of friends suggested me. I think it's sweets with sweets with the animation, so just drag it to the to this part here when the audio is added. Now, go back and see. Let's go to this razor tool. Ah, let's cut this part where we don't have any sound. Click on that and lead it and that's again with the razor tool. Let's cut it to the end. Take on the this part and delete it again with a delete key on keyboard. So let's play. Uh, by the way, here you have the the quality. So now you just need to to save it to render it. So make sure you click on you're clicking on the timeline here.
