1. Intro: Are you about to start selling your art but need a better way to display it. Don't want to buy mockups anywhere online and just want to make her own or you just want to make something different than what it's offered online. This class will be perfect for you. I'm going to teach you how to design your own frames if you need to. Or you can just use the mock-ups that you can find a line on a royalty free websites. So if you're ready to step up your portfolio, you'll wall art and even a little bit of stationary or anything that you have on paper like signs or quotes or poems. This class should help you make her mock-ups much, much better than you had before. And you'll be ready to display a monomial website or in your Etsy shop. You can switch from, you know, few art pieces to the same picture. So you have so many different possibilities. All you need to do for this class is have procreate. And you can do everything in there if you have the Apple pencil even better, but you can absolutely use your finger if e2. So if you're ready, let's get started and jump on in the next video. 2. Basic Mockup: Ok, I hope you're ready for the first lesson will be a basic mockup. So I'm gonna go into my procreate to open our canvas with that plus sign on the top right. And you're gonna see a bunch of different sizes of canvas. We're gonna, I'm using ten by ten because that's to display on either Instagram or at t, o some others EPA social media. So you click on that little file and plus sign right there and you can just ten by ten choose inches on the left side, it's gonna give you 300 dpi and 55 layers, but you're now going to use anything near 55 layers. So click on create. A brand new blank canvas is going to open right in front of you. So what we're gonna do now is look for our picture. So we want something a little bit specific, which is something that is right in front of you. I was looking for a dancer earlier today, so I go to unspliced.com. That's royalty-free pictures and you can see that there are all the categories up top. If you scroll down on the first page, you're going to see what's being featured. I don't know if it's weekly or daily, but there's just a bunch of really nice pictures in there. So I usually click first on interiors. That's part of the category. And I just are scrolling down to see if there's anything that I like. And sometimes you have to do a little digging because a lot of the pictures are an angle and you want something like this, for example, it's a little darker than usual, but that I would like, but the picture is right in front of you. There's no side angle, so you would have to make very little adjustments to whatever piece you put on that picture in there. So I'm going to download it and see if I can do something nice with them. I might use it. Am I not? You'd click on download and it's going to come up to the top. And I'm going to leave it there for now and look for other pictures and then I'll just save all at once so my camera roll. So let's scroll down a little bit and see what else I can find. This one is perfect. So I'm going to also download that one. You can send thanks to the artist if you would like. And they're very generous to donate their pictures for free and let you use it and make changes and do anything you want. So that one looks good, but if you pay attention, it's all the pictures I'm angle and the one picture that I could use, it's a little bit dark, so I'm just going to keep looking. When you realize you're scrolling for too much, for too long. Just go ahead and go to the search bar and I'm just going to type living room before we search under interiors. Interiors and let's see what we can find this time. And I know we're going to have a little bit more luck. So I'm going to get this one is a simple wall with some props, some pictures, and some of those photos are already photoshopped. I don't know if you realize that, but they're now the real picture. Not all of them, but some of them are. This one will be perfect if goes a little brighter. So I'm just going to keep looking a little longer. This one is perfect. And this one I'll be able to do a little color adjustment, not too much, but just a little bit. So you know how you can use the color adjustment features and you can do it on other pictures as well. There's so many great pictures, but the photos like the art on the wall is just such an angle that I feel like we'll do a disservice for your art if you're trying to sell it. Now I'm just doing a different search. I'm gonna go for living room spaces and see what else it can get. So gorgeous pictures as usual. So let's see, well, the moon. So we don't need those. So let's go back and look for something else. Let's try bedroom interior. Let's see if we can get anything. Sometimes you get a lot of just random photos depending on what kind of keywords do you use for search. And I searched for Blank office walls. Onetime image has got a lot of office buildings. So I guess the word interior needs to be there sometimes. So let's see if I can find something we frame. So here we go. So now we have, I want to get this one because I want to show you how you can put your photo, your art, on an angle. So it's not too much of an angle that it was just store too much. And plus you want to have a good visibility of what you're displaying. So you want something that it's right upfront angle and also a little bit to the side so your audience can have the, can see what it will look like as a real deal. So I'm going to download some pictures right now, and then I'm going to save them all to my cameras. So just hang tight and we're going to speed up the video so you don't have to just watch everything. Okay, now that I saved all those pictures and my camera all, let's go back to procreate to that same canvas ten by ten. And let's add an, add a photo. So let's start with something simple. Let's go with the two set print. If you're selling to France on the same as a bundle, for example, like they will go together. This picture will be perfect for it. And I have some work that I did to sell together recently. So I'm going to use those two pieces to put it up here and the decor of the bedroom is neutral enough today you can use all sorts of things, but honestly you can use whatever you want because what you might find that ugly, someone else might find a beautiful. So I'm going to use my dancer space work. So this is, this is a set of three actually, but I'm just going to use as a set of two just because that's the kind of lock up there we have right now. So hang in there while it's downloading. Okay. Now we have a both photos on procreate, so I'm going to decrease the size of each one of them so we can fit in the frame. And because those frames or have most of it is in white colour, we won't have to add any kind of like Matt behind the picture. I'm going to show you later on how you do that on other mockups. But this one we will need a we'll just go into pretty much just decrease the size of the art. So you can see the white background. So that's going to serve it as a man. And we'll just make sure that the size is consistent on both of them. And you can do a little bit of an adjustment if you tap your Apple pencil next to the picture, when it's selective, it will move so slightly just enough to address the distance. So I'm just tapping right now to make sure that distances close to equal on both sides. Since this picture is really good and just like in front of you, there's barely any angle, so it's ready to share actually, so you can save it on the camera roll as a JPEG. And after that you just display it on our website and you can display it on Etsy. And it's how it's going to look like if someone is looking at that art And as I call it, is just so beautiful in there's a setting that it sort of, it, it looks like it's hanging on a bedroom walls. So let's go on to our next lesson. 3. Color Adjustment : Welcome back. Let's go ahead and work on some color adjustments. So I'm going to open same size canvas, ten by ten, and then go to the wrench, insert a photo, we sense or all photos. And I'm going to add one of the pictures that I pulled from an splash this time. Let's go with this colorful one so I can do a little color adjustment and I'm going to zoom in. So that piece is front and center and the floor is not in the picture because the floor will probably add a little bit too much of a color e phi, change the hue on procreate. So I'm going to add one of my work in there. And let's see what it's going to look like once we change a little bit of color. So it might not be the exact size, but I don't think I'm going to have to do any of, you know, super big adjustments. So I just wanna make sure that it covers because it looks like that piece on the mock-up on the picture that I fold is a canvas so there is no frame for me to adjust to. So I just wanna make sure that it covers the whole thing, but still leaves the shadow behind it because the sun is shining on the left side. So there's some shadow on the right side. And I want to make sure that I keep that. You can see that my piece is more of like pinks and purples and blue and there's a big orange pillow in the middle of the couch. So what I tried to do, there's two ways I can do this. I always duplicate the working case. I don't like it and I hide one layer. I'm gonna go to hue and saturation under the magic wand. And if you slide the sender here to read our left, you're going to see that pillow is going to change colors, but everything else is also going to change colors. So I'm going to slightly move until that pillow is not so orange, but it's more of a pink. And then I'm decreasing the saturation just a little bit to where it's not too bread and it looks unrealistic because everything else in that picture is also besides my work is also changing colors. So I want to make sure it doesn't look greenish or two bluish or something that it looks that it has a computer filter on top of a. So I'm going to also duplicate that layer once again and I'm going to use it again for something else. So let's go ahead and try to recolor that picture. A lot of the times work. Hello, the time is it doesn't. You just have to get the right picture and choose the right color. And sometimes it's still won't work. So if you get a purple and you drop on that pillow, you see that everything goes into a blue tone. If you get a different color like a pink or blush and you drop into the pillow. Then the pillow, it's more of a pink, but the couch is blue. You can drop that same pink on the couch. Then the picture will have a completely different field. So you can get the same color and drop and in different areas of the exact same picture. And it will give you different shades of that color. So you just have to do a little trial and error. So a lot of the times this doesn't work depending on the picture and depending on the colors they're using. And I just use sometimes the hue and saturation. Or sometimes we'll, you can do, that's awful. All sometimes well, you can do is just isolate one object on that picture and then recolored just I want just like you would do in Photoshop. So I just dropped a gray color on that pillow and everything when blue and then I dropped on a couch and everything when gray. So you never know what you're going to get until you try. So I'm going to try to isolate just that pillow in recolored just that pillow and see if it works. And to do that, I'm going to use the lasso tool, which is that little S at the top. And I'm just with my pencil, I'm just going to go around it. You might have to do several times to get it right because it's not a straight line. Sometimes straight line is much easier because you just snap it, put your pencil and place and then it will just have a straight line. So I'm just moving the screen where it's comfortable for me to go around it. But you might have to do this a few times. I have to do sometimes several times to get it right. Once you've finished selecting that object, whatever the object is, you click on Select and you swipe with three fingers and you're going to do a copy and paste. So a copy of that pillow only will be placed on a different layer so it's not cutting from the picture is just copy. So you can go ahead and recover just that picture. I know that this is now going to be perfect already because part of that pillow is under inside of the glass and you can see that the pillow is pink, but inside the glass is to assure orange. So make sure when you do that it's a clear picture in. You can isolate the whole object. So if you zoom in, I can even try to, you know, if you zoom in you can see the border to places that I missed with the selection tool, with the lasso tool, it's still orange and you can paint that, but it's not going to look perfect or realistic. So I don't suggest doing that. So if you can isolate, isolate the whole thing, that will be much more ideal. And if you do it and you don't like it, all you need to do is just delete that layer. And now you're back to your original image. So let's go ahead and go to our next video where we're going to have some other products to try out. 4. Masking : In this part of the lesson, I want to show you how to use mask. So I'm going to just add a photo from one of the photos that we first uploaded from on splash. And it has an object in front of it. So I want to show you how I adjust the picture to show that proper in front, but it's still so to look realistic. So we're going to use a tool that's called a feature, that's called mask. It's a non-destructive way to edit your work, so it's an extra layer and all the adjustment is done on that layer. So if you're not happy with their, you change your mind. Just delete the extra layer and your work will be there like if nothing happened. So I'm going to add work, one of my pieces to that frame right there that has the cactus in front of us. So you can see that I can add something small where the cactus is now going to be in front of it. But I want to look like my picture is actually part of that backup. So let's go ahead and add a photo. So I'm going to add one, add one of my pieces, and let's see what I have here. Okay, so I'm going to add one of my soft basalt northern lights and I'm just going to that will be perfect right there. I think the sizes actually pretty close. And I'm also going to add a different picture on a different frame and the same mock-up adjust to it looks a little bit more balanced, so I'm a little extra blue at the top left I was thinking about, so maybe one of my watercolor work. So maybe. So let's see which one. I think this one that Deep Blue will look the best. Okay. So this one has a wide background already on this, I usually save it with a clear background, so will be just the diamond shape. But in this case it's okay because the background on that pictures are really wide, so it just looks like a map. And then the white background of the frame. So it looks okay the way it is right now and now we're going to mask my work so the cactus show through the picture. So it's still going to look like the cat is in front of it. So masking is a nondestructive way to edit your work. Who like I said before. So It's going to look like it's going to be erasing a, but it's not, it's just hiding it. So you're going to use basically two colors. So you click on Mask and you're going to be making all the changes on that extra layer. So I'm going to change to a monoline because it has sharp edges and that's what I want right now. And you only going to be using two colors, black or white right now see some quote, unquote erasing. I'm going to use black, black history, race, white is to reveal. So we're going to do erasing right now, but it's not really erasing. So I'm going to just decrease the opacity so I know what I have to hide or erase, which is the part of my work that has the cactus on it. So we're gonna go and put that brush on top of it and just start almost like drawing on top of the cactus. So you might have to decrease or increase the size of your brush depending on what you're erasing. So you just try with a smile on the smaller side and then you go ahead and adjust it around it to to see what else you need to erase it. But E few erased too much, just changed to a white color. And then you can just reverse the damage. So which is not really damaged anyway, because if you just delete the masking layer, everything would just returned to normal, your work will be intact. So let's go ahead and just hide the piece of my work that where the cactuses, so some, I'm erasing my work so I can show the cactus key. Once you're done, you just go back into that layer and you increase the capacity up to a 100 or to the max. And then you just penchant so you can see the whole picture in luck that act as is in front of my work. It looks super realistic, doesn't look like it's amino photoshopped or anything like that or edit and your picture, let's say if you selling both of those pictures as a bubble, ready to share and post they either on the website or Etsy or another place that you sell your art. So this is it, perfect, ready to go? And now we're gonna go to our next video. 5. Stationery: If you have been playing around with stationary or calligraphy and you have like some paperwork or paper art that you would like to show off and you haven't had any style shoot. Yeah, I have. This is a copy of my wedding invite from 2015 that I made myself. So it's very simple. Nothing fancy, no foil, nothing but I made it myself, so I took a picture of that and I'm going to use that as a mock-up for stationary. So I took a picture and I'm just going to crop it. I'm going to make it very simple. So it's going to be slightly different than a five by seven, which is the regular size of my invite. It's going to be just, you know, not quite that size, but I'm that's okay because I'm going to look for a very simple picture for a mock-up, and this is just an example. But you can get a really good feel for what you would need to do if you have something like this. If you have adjust the lettering or the paleography and if you're already working, procreate, it's even ten times easier and you probably already know that. But if you have just pictures of your invite, I can show you how you can place that on the mockup. And now I have ready go, it's cropped. I will still probably have to adjust say once I've put on flatly, that's what I'm going to look for when I go into on splash. And I'm just going to do a little color adjustment because it's kind of dark and my invite is off-white and this is a little bit darker than I like. You can go to color adjustments on the curve. And if you see like depending where you move the curve, the different location of that design or day invitation will change colors. So you just have to play around but do a very slightly and slowly so you don't change the colour to suddenly. And you can always reset it, but then you have to start over so you just do little by little. You can also try recoloring. I don't really use that one. I usually just do the the hue saturation brightness, so I can just lighten things up if necessary. The one thing that I wish I had in this app would be something like the contrasts so it can meet the black, a little more black. So what I do, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I choose the color brown, black, and I just drop on the black side are the black area of my pieces. So in my work, in my not oh, it did. It made it a little better. The invitation is a little darker, but that's okay. I don't need to make any huge changes to that. I just up the brightness a little bit so perfect. So now let's go ahead and look for our picture. And let's see what we can find. We're gonna go to one splash this time. And I'm going to try a couple of different things and we're going to try stationary or stationary flat lay. Sometimes I have to go into wedding stationary, but you're not going to find a like, you know, Glory is stationary mock-ups on, on splash. You're going to have to just do a little magic in there. I can use the one with the envelopes, but it's really not the style that I'm looking for. I just want something simple. What some props around us, so let's see what we can find. Okay, so I'm going to download this one even though it's now very a wedding like, but let's see what we can do with that one. Let's see if we can also find something else and just in case. Okay, I think I found one that I really like. This one is very simple. It can be for anything. It could be for a poem, for vowels, for invitation for just like a quote. So I'm going to download that and save to my camera roll. Okay, now back and procreate. Let's go ahead and add that picture. So it will be the last one that I downloaded from us flesh, I think that one is the most appropriate. So just zoom in or you can get a good view of the paper and it helps that it's already blank so we don't have to erase anything, but we do we will need to do some adjustments because we have the little plant on top of it and it's going to be on top of the invitation as well. So we will be using the mask tool to erase that. And it's not really going to be erasing is going to just be masking or just hiding. So I put the invitation on top of that paper. So I'm just going to make the size close to the same that she was going to be the same. So I'm going to go ahead and distort that picture a little bit. But since it's so little is now going to do too much damage to the invitation. I just want to make sure they all corners are the same. And since the paper is really close in color, that helps as well. So it's not like black and white where something is always going to be sticking out. So let's go ahead and just adjust that. And then after that we're gonna go ahead and use the mask tool to erase that little plants. So we're going to click on my layer and lower the opacity a little bit so you can see the branch on top of it. So we're going to click on that layer. And we're going to click on Mask. And you're going to be using a monoline on the color black. So we're starting with them on a line and then I'm going to change that the soft brush because those little plants that you go on go around. It has a little it's like fuzzy. So I'm on a line, it's a sharp there has sharp edges, so I want to make sure that everything looks very natural. So I'm just going to do the branches right now. And just almost like a rough draft or a sketch of what I'm going to be erasing. So I'm just outlining for now and then we'll go ahead and other details. And now under the airbrushed, I'm going to switch to a soft brush or a medium brushes fine. And I'm going to lower the size of it and I'm just going to go around and at the edges and kind of use the softer brush to kind of soften the edges a little bit. So it's this, there's fuzz on that plan. I don't want to look like is too sharp and it looks like it's photoshopped too much. So I'm just gonna go around it with a soft brush and the edges are going to be very soft. It's not going to look like it's fas or hair or anything like that. Or for, for example, but at least it doesn't look too sharp, too hard edges. When using masking or the mass tool, you can use only two colors, either black or white. So I'm using black to hide that part of my invitation where the plant is. So the plan is it's showing on top of my invitation. And if you need to hide anything you use. So if you're pretending like to erase the invitation, you're going to use the black. If you need to reveal more of an invitation, you are going to use the white. So I'm going to be switching back and forth between those two colors, but you won't use any other color when using mask is either black or white, nothing in-between. You might use gray? Well, every once in a while, but I never do and it's usually like an in-between, but it's white reveals, black conceals. So using white right now to reveal more of my invitation because that's what I'm masking. And it's I want to soft reveal so I'm using a softer brush so to just a soft those edges. So it's now going to look so obviously, quote unquote, photoshopped me. If you're not happy with your masking work, you can always just start over. You don't wanna do it. You can just delete them masking layer and you do it again. Just click on Mask again and start over. But you don't have to because you can go back and forth between black and white and just fix whatever imperfections that you see in there. But if you decide to use a different mock-up where you don't have to mask, then your invitation will still be completely fine. You just delete them masking layer and your whatever art or invitation or paper they used to put on the mock-up, it's not going to be, it's a non-destructive way to edit your work. So your invitation or that layer that it was masked, it will be completely fine. Okay. So I think we did a pretty good job on unmasking the invitation and just revealing that little branch, but it's still the invitation is it's an a low capacity right now so we can see that branch. So if you increase the capacity all the way to the max, then it's not going to look very natural. So I decrease a little bit so to keep the shadow or the shade from the branch onto the top of the invitation. The invitation looks a little lighter, but that's totally phi in this case. You just have to play around with it. So now we're ready to go to our next lesson. 6. Frame Work part 1: We're now going to try to work with just the frame. I'm going to look for a frame only. And for that, I'm not going to go to on splash. I'm going to go to Pixabay. It has more options when you're looking for just a single object with nothing else on image. So it's also royalty-free, just like a splash, but it helps when you're looking for just like an object. So I'm just going to look for picture frame and you're going to see what I mean when it comes up. So the ones at the top or the ones that you pay for, and they're not Pixabay, they just have a piece of a discount. And you can see that some of these pictures are also on, on splash. But this one, for example, is just the frame. There's nothing in it. And it might be the one that I'm going to get actually because it's simple and that's all I need and I can add anything I want after that. So that's exactly what I need for now. And I'm going to click on free download right there. I have an account, but I just I'm not logged in, so I'm going to insert the security questions. Once I opened or choose to download the picture is going to give you a several, several for different sizes of and I just go with whatever they recommend. So the default one is fine. The download is going to go on the same place at the top of your tablet and next to the address bar. So I'm going to download that to my computer, save it to my computer, save it to my iPad, to my camera roll. So I'm going to insert a photo, insert a picture frame. And I'm going to do that. I'm going to put on a black background. So you can see that this picture has a little bit of a white leftover from whatever photo was taken up. So the person that uploaded this picture to be available on Pixabay just crops in such a way, but it left a little bit of the white background, which is totally fine, is very simple to erase. You just use a monoline on the eraser on your procreate and then you just do a line, vertical or horizontal whenever you starting and then you just hold it, it will snap to big B into a straight line. And then you can erase the majority of it in and whatever's leftover, you just erase it as your usual like you would do with a regular eraser. So we'll do that at the bottom. I'm going to take the most as the most I can from this white background, my line kinda quote unquote broke in the middle. So it wasn't the whole thing super straight as you can see it just a little bit. So I'm going to do it again. Snapped straight and you can move it up and down if you don't lift your pen from the screen. Okay. Perfect. And I'm going to do the rest on the other side of the frames as well. Okay, now that we got rid of all the white stuff around the frame, I'm gonna go back to a white or a lighter background. It doesn't have to be white right now because we're gonna paint it after this. So I'm going to add one another piece, and this time I'm going to go from my nebula. Well, that's not a nebula, That's a galaxy, but I'm going to add that was, I painted that in soft pastels. And it was inspired by the Andromeda galaxy. So go ahead and reduce the size until it's close to what the sizes inside of the frame. And again, my design is not exactly the same size of the frame, so we're gonna go ahead and adjust that. I don't like making it small to have that white background. It doesn't go with it. I like when it's that kind of ordinate frame, I wanted to take the whole space, no white background with my, at least with this piece because it's already so striking, so I don't want any white in there. So you're going to click on select. And then at the bottom you click distort. And you just make sure that all the points of the painting is at the corner of the frame. So it takes the whole space, no way background. You can stop right here if you would like. But I like to add a little bit of a make this look a little bit more realistic. So I'm going to duplicate that layer of the frame, the one at the bottom, I'm going to click on alpha lock and then painted in black, so you choose the black and then a painting is going to be all black. And then you turn off the alphas block. And then you go into the magic one and click on Gaussian Blur and you slide your pen to the right until you get around 12%, then you selected and you just move a little bit to the right, like if the sun is shining on the opposite side. And then you click on the black layer on the end. You're going to reduce the opacity a little bit, so it looks a little bit more believable. You don't want to shadow that is too dark. So now we're going to paint that wall. So I'm going to add another layer and put it at the very bottom. I'm going to choose a gray or something soft, something that is not too dark. And I want a little bit warm. So I put an, a red between red and purple. And I'm going to choose and are artistic. And there's so many awesome brushes. I'm going to go with the well coil. I don't know how you pronounce that, but I'm going to choose that one and just paint the background. And now you have a wall simple all day. You paint yourself. You can paint it one more time if you want a little bit more intense or a little bit more opaque, I like the first layer only it gives a little bit more texture. But you can have either way. And there you have it. You have your own frame along on a blank wall as a simple picture. And now we're going to go to our next lesson. 7. Frame Work part 2: Let's say you want to just design the picture frame where your art frame yourself. So we're gonna go ahead and just design that frame. So I am going to open another canvas, ten by ten, the same one that we've been using. And we're just going to actually draw just a mock-up frame, like an iframe or picture frame that you can do it yourself and you can change the colors, you can change the shape, you can do whatever you want. So let's get a piece of art or one of my art and I'm going to use this nebula right here. Okay? And now we're going to go ahead and decrease the size to whatever size you want to display it. So I'm just going to have this size right here and I'm going to duplicate that because I'm going to use that shape as my frame. So I'm going to turn on the alpha lock and I'm going to fill that layer with when my circle right there is black. So make sure to change our color to black so you can make sure when you click select on that layer of the black one, make sure that it's an uniform down the bottom. And then you can just increase the size. So we're already looks like a frame. Now we're going to pretty much erase the middle or where the pain is going to be. And there's two ways that you can do that. You can actually erase the middle. So you just draw it like make sure that you're on the black layer, the layer of the frame. So you don't erase your work. So you can just erase with the monoline and just do like a try, you know, just do a rectangle. Doesn't have to be straight because once you hold it with your pencil is going to snapped straight. And then you click Edit and you can click retain the rectangle and is going to be perfect. So, but it's kind of the, the cut that I made or the the erasing part. It's kind of big, too close to the edges. I went a little bit smaller. So this is one way that you can do is so once you have a mate erase that part, you can erase everything that's in the middle. Or another option that you can do. You don't have to do this part. You can just do it straight from the lasso tool. But you can always start with this one so you know what exactly you're selecting. So I'm going to show you what the lasso tool does. After I have made all the lines here string. Once that's done, you can go ahead and just click on that Lasso Tool. And on the same points that you have right there. For the erasing part, you can just select that with the Lasso Tool. If you're going to use digestate eraser, which you absolutely can, is just going to take you a little bit of extra time. And then if you catch some parts of the act and the actual frame that you want to keep is going to be, you're going to have to fix that. So using the lasso tool is a little better. So I'm going to turn on my guidelines just so I can make sure that everything is straight. And once I do that, I am ready to have. The lasso tool, just isolating that part. So click on none. Now go to the lesson tool or selection, and go into a rectangle. And you can just pull it just like you would just pull down. You put your pencil on the screen and then you just drag it down and is going to be a triangle. Once you do that, just lift your pen and clicked on select. And with your three fingers just swipe and you're going to see cut and paste. And that part of the cut is going to be pasted on a different layer. And guess what? You have your frame and there's some leftovers in there, but that's totally okay. We're going to just erase that. And I'm going to move that frame up top. I unselected the black lead on all the wife keeps coming back up. But you can actually even delete that. And you just go ahead and erase the leftover right there. Perfect. I notice that the bottom is a little bit thinner than the top, so I'm just going to get my monoline brush or even a hard brush that is not o and that it's not very translucent, that's very opaque. I'm just going to add on extra line just like that. Oh, Bell, I'm broke. So let's go ahead and do it again. Synapse if you hold it in place and if you put two fingers on the screen, the line will actually be just even, not just stray, but also in a 90-degree angle or a 180. So it's not going to be kind of cricket. And I'm just going to fill in that extra space with the black ink and it's ready to go. Now, I will erase the guides. And now you have my art on top of it. So I'm going to decrease the size. So it has that why Matt behind it. But I will add the white afterwards. So now I'm going to duplicate the frame because I want to add some shadow. So I'm going to use the Gaussian Blur and slide it to the right until you get the blur that you want. So I usually do about 12%. And then I select that layer of the blur and I just slightly move a tiny bit to the right. And then I degrees C opacity just a little bit to be a little bit more believable. And there you have it. Just like the other frame that we worked with excepted that this one you made your own frame. So I'm going to duplicate my work like I always do. I'm going to duplicate the, the, the frame and also the shadow or the shade shading. And that's if I want to use it again in the future or if I want to change the color of the frame once because I'm going to come combine all those three items, my work, the shadow and the frame. And if I change the color of one item, everything's going to change the color to. So that's why I'm keeping a copy. So right now have a black frame, but if I want to change that frame to a different color, I can as long as they're not together. They're not gonna merged. So right now I have this work already combined and I added a different layer where I'm going to add. Right now you can move it anywhere and you can decrease and increase the size of the whole thing. So it's like one piece, everything is on the one piece. So I'm going to choose where now want to paint the wall. So I'm going to choose a different brush this time. I don't even know how to pronounce that, but it's under artistic on procreate. Oh, I'm going to wrong layer. So let me go ahead and on that empty layer underneath my work, I also want to add a white background to my piece because remember is just the black frame and my work, there's nothing in there. So I'm going to duplicate my work. Turned on the alpha alloc, and then fill in with white and just increase the size to make sure that it covers the whole white area. So this one I paint the wall. It doesn't show the wall inside the frame. It wouldn't make any sense. So now, when I paint the wall, you only going to see the wall being painted, not the peace inside the frame. So it looks more realistic. Otherwise it just looks like the frame is empty with my work glued to the wall. If that makes sense. So I chose the brush and just go ahead and one stroke, just pain all over that canvas and it looks like a perfect wall. It looks like it has wallpaper name which is more, which is even cooler to me. And if you want a different color, you can use a lookup, a blush color or more like a green. It's up to you. You can use it to strokes to be a little more texture, but I like one stroke only. And after that you are ready to share it. Now what I'm doing here, I want to go one step further and add to a mock-up that has a blank wall. So let's see what I can find here. I found that one with the fireplace that actually has the mirror on top of it. I don't know if you remember when I pulled on the first video. It has a nice mirror on top of the fireplace. And I think I'm going to add that work on top of that because the frame is already black. So I think he will go really well with this mock-up. And you can zoom in as much as you want. I just want to get the feel of the whole living room. So what I do and a lot of on my answer shop, for example, I have the same picture in three different sizes or zoomed in in three different ways. So I have the regular size or I put in I, and then after that I just keep zooming in until my picture is really big. So they can see that as the same picture, different distance, I would say. So let's go ahead and add my work in there. I think I have two frames in there and that's why it looks a little funky. There you go. So now I have just a white piece and my, I'm going to group this together so I can isolate them. The ones that I didn't use from before. So I'm just going to keep them right there, but up to the bottom. And then now that I have one piece of my work already with the frame and the background. I'm going to group to select both of those layers and then I can change the size of them at the same time. So I just wanna make sure that the size is covering that mirror on the top of the fireplace. So it doesn't have to be the exact same size, but it does have to cover in I think I found the perfect size. So it needs to be to come down a little bit. So if you select it and you tap, tap, tap with your Apple pencil, your selection will slowly and very, very little bit of a distance. It will come down towards the way you're tapping. And it will do so very slightly instead of moving the whole piece and then he moves too far, and then you have to do it again. Now let's try this again on a different wall. I have a picture here and I think as a computer desk with a blank wall behind it. And let's see if it looks the same on different types of picture in different lightings, in different tones. So I'm looking for the picture right now. Okay, here it is. Let's zoom in where I get just the wall and the desk with a computer. And I'm going to duplicate or I can just pretty much just bring it up. And both of them are selected so I can increase the size. I mean, it looks almost perfect. I think I'm going to bring it maybe a little down or increase the size just a tiny bit so the leaf of the plant, it's covering my work and then we can do that masking again. So I'm gonna reduce the opacity a little bit. So I can see the tip of that leaf covering my work and I can go ahead with a mono line. And they're calligraphy by the way. And just erase, erase that little tip, which is should take no time at on. So go ahead and just erase that. Once you're done, increase the opacity completely, zoom out so you can see what it looks like right now. I'm just erasing some of the shading or the shadow from the frame because it's still, it goes on top of the leaf a little bit. So just zoom out and you can see how it looks. This is perfect. It's ready to be shared. And so you go ahead and save it to a camera roll and then go ahead and display it on your portfolio. 8.
