1. Full Video of Animated Infographic Video Project: Hi, everyone in this class you're going to learn how to create an infographic video using power point only. And the video will be about the biography off Ellen Mosque. However, even though this class can be taken from scratch, I strongly recommend you to go through part one off my Power point video course. If you haven't done it yet, it will be easier for you to follow these class if you take the previous class first. There are a total of five classes, and the links to all of them are in the description below. So this class is an animated video infographic about the biography off L. A mosque. It's very basic off course. Don't pay attention to the content itself. It's more to show you the different objects animation that we're going to do and this sort off timeline here. So this timeline is very popular in the infographics when it comes to a biography, or to show some steps in the life of someone or in the company. And I will do some animations like this one and keep this timeline going as long as you need, Basically, all right, so let's start 2. Introduction to Project 2 : Video Infographic Using Powerpoint: hi, everyone and welcome to project to off the Power Point Video course. So this one, we're going to do it about Ellen Mosque. That's one of my favorite people in the world. Along was Neil DeGrasse Tyson. Just just so you know. So the content itself is not the most important here. I will not put my focus on this. The point is to learn how to do videos in power point, right? So don't expect too much off the content itself. Read all of this is for illustration purposes and also is explained in the beginning of this course. I'm not going to re show you exactly how to do every step if we saw this before. So I will only explain how to do the new things. Something that I haven't shown in the previous project because I suppose that you did the previous project. So everything we've covered in it, you should be able to do it. All right, so let's start 3. Choosing and Setting a consistent Color Pallette: first, let's do something very simple that we didn't do in a previous project. Let's set a color palette for Power Point, which will allow us to use these colors more easily afterwards. Colors are extremely important, and most people mess up the design off their presentations just because they choose the wrong colors. And you might think, how difficult can it be? Right? Well, it is actually very difficult to choose the right colors. Would you have to understand is that there are not just these colors here that you see on Power point right, like blue, red, green, yellow, etcetera, etcetera. These are very basic colors, and if you choose them, your presentation will probably not be very good. The best designers are able to find the most interesting colors that fit together, so I don't know how to do that. I don't have disability. I know some people who do it naturally, but I don't know how to do it. So if you are in the same situation as me, there is a great tool for that. It's called the Adobe Color Will and the Adobe Color Explorer. So let me show you. So you go on Google that come and you type, don't be color wheeled, so this is the website color doctor adobe dot com, and then you have to click here, explore. Right now it's in French, but it's really in English. It's explore, and here you have a color palettes. So normally these colors within one pallet are supposed to fit well together. So if you choose this set of color, for example, or this set or they said, and then you consistently use only these colors in your presentation, your presentation should look good. So what you have to do is go here and choose some off these colors, and I will tell you exactly how to put them inside power point afterwards and generally speaking for serious presentations, I tend to avoid colors which are too flashy like this, and ah, that's basically the only rule for me then for you, it's really what you prefer, what you like, and then when you decided which color you want to use, you click here and you'll be presented with this weapons. So I chose this pattern here, and basically what we need to do is to enter all these colors in power point itself. So what they have to do its pay attention to this. So this in English, it's rgb red, green, blue. So these coat here, you need to enter it in power point. So let's go. Here you go on design variance. These are all here colors and customise colors and now you have to enter those colors off the adobe color will here to replace the accents accent one x and two X and three etcetera . So you click here on more colors and now you need to enter these RGB code. So I will do this for all the colors and I will accelerate this part of the video. All right now, I have all the five accents here, so I don't have the 6th 1 I just have five, but that's fine. Click safe now, As you can see, wherever you click, you will have the choice to use these colors. For example, if you do textbooks, you write something here. Your selected and these are your colors from the color palette that we just created. As you can see. Accent one accent 2345 Okay. And what's great here is that underneath them you have the different variations off these accents, so if you need more colors, But if you want to stay in the right palette, if you cannot use these ones, for example, you can use some of those here because they still work together. All right, that's it. This is done. Now let's create a background for this slide. So I'd like something radial like this. And let's use our color sled. Let's see this. Maybe let's put this is the maximum here and this one. Let's pick a variation of this color, but the bit more light like this. And let's increase the brightness as well. Now it doesn't work. You know what? This just seems a bit too dark to me. So I will just delete this part here, put it more like this. Like this? Yeah. Now I think I'm fine. Was it all right? So we have our background 4. Creating a Text Shape Title: Now let's add one of those fancy animated titles. You know when you have the text in some sort of square or rectangle, and it moves in various ways. So let's write how Elon Musk started. But in order to make it beautiful, we basically need to write each of these words separately because we will form of them. And Annie made them differently. So how Ellen Mosque started, all right, and also right in capital letters. Now let's choose a phone. You can choose the same fund here, and I like this one. Adobe got IQ, STD P. I don't know if you have this one. If not, pick some front, which is very basic like this. You see very, very straight lines. Very rectangular, this kind of front. Okay, now let's increase the sights of this, for example, to 60. Okay. Ellen Mosque. Basically, what we need to find is the size for the World Mosque that it fits exactly the webs off this word here, Ellen. So seat. It's not exactly there because now, in positioned on the left here. But the shape still goes outwards. So let's either make this one bigger or this one smaller Yeah. Let's make this one smaller here. 50. As you can see, you don't need to actually select only those here. You can type the size that you need. So instead of 60 we probably will have to use for example, 58. Then you hit. Enter, Is it correct? Yeah. Let's try 59. It's probably more like 58. Oops. Okay. All right. Now, let's make this word bigger here as well. We will see afterwards how it goes. So as you can see here on the right, this red line means that the they are lined. And also, what I would want to do is to make this one bigger, rotated vertically. Something like this. But off course it has to fit. So let's increase the size of this. Okay, well, let's take this one down. First. Let's position this one exactly on the line. Okay? It's since correct here. Let's say and now let's make the world started bigger. This is too big. So let's write 50. No. 51. Not still not 52. Okay, so now they seems to other proportional. Of course, it's not beautiful. We need to make a different color. So Let's make Ellen Mosque both off these words white. And now let's use how wonderful accents. Maybe this one and started another one of the accents like this. Okay, it looks somewhat beautiful. Now, let's put all of this on the left, and let's also apply. Ah, shadow effect on it like this. OK, so this looks a bit better. We will animate it afterwards. 5. Creating a fully custom shape - Part 1: Now let's at the picture of L. A mosque here, so I have my picture already. So I will inserted directly. But you can find anyone that you want, right? The one you think is that, for example, this one, don't you think, is that we need to have a square picture off him. So let's crop this. So we need a square so need to find the right proportions here. All right. This seems like a square seats home was the same. Okay, so we have our square, but off course, we will not live it like this. Actually, for now, you could put this picture somewhere on the side because it will do a fancy object here in the middle that will rotate and everything. So this is something that we haven't seen in the previous project, and I will show you how to do some really cool stuff. So click here, insert shape and take a circle. Okay. Make this circle bigger, by the way. Now you see that the default color at which the shapes and everything else appears is the one that you said in your accents pattern. So shape outline. No outline. And let's make white. So what I want to do is to cut out a circle here and leave basically a ring. So how do you do that? Click on the same circle that you just created. Korpi it. OK, now have a copy. Make it a different color. Whatever. Let's choose this one. Place it exactly in the middle and now you have to resize it but resize it from the center . And there is a keyboard shortcut for this. So you hold control and shift at the same time, and then you re size from here. You see, it stays in the middle and it's resize is perfectly inside. So, like I said, I want a rink here, but a real ring, not a fake ring. Okay, so there is a technique for that. You can actually cut shapes in power point. So what you need to do is need to select both off these shapes. Then you go to format, merge shapes and fragment. Okay, Now you click here in the middle, you click on dilate, and that's it. You have a real ring, and this is really cool. So let's leave this ring in the middle, make it white once again. And now what I would like to do is something that simulates a graph. For example, imagine that this is ah, pie, like a sort of a pie chart. And then I want to make something appear here than something appear here and etcetera until maybe somewhere here in the middle, once again, this is just to show you what we can do with power point. So in order to do this will have to cut more shapes. So what I advise you to do is to copy this ring here and put it somewhere here, just in case we mess up the stuff that we're doing. So now, in order to cut this little pieces here, we need to be creative. So go on, insert shapes and choose the strangle here. But not this one here, Right? Just the right triangle right now. Take out the shape outline, rotated this way and position it in the middle here. Okay, so now it's up to you to be visually correct in assessing where you want this line this cut to be because what I want is to fill out this part off the ring. And then again this part, etcetera. So when you move this from here, you can see that the shape and the orientation of this line changes. That's so depending on how much off it you want to fail. As you can see now, this part of the ring is transparent, like Look here. When I move it, it's transparent. So this is exactly the part that we want to feel. So let's say that we just keep it simple for now and do exactly this perfect kind of triangle. We position it here in order to cut out this part. So now, once again, select this triangle, then select the ring. Go on format, merge shapes and fragment. Now I have to delete everything that remains so this part, this part and this part. And now, as you can see, this part here is independent. The ring remained, but it got cut out. So let me go back, just in case we have this backup rink, if we need to replace it or for whatever other reasons. But now for simplicity, select this ring here and make the shape white once again. So now you probably see where I'm going with this. I want to make several more off those by continuing to do it on the right side. So once again I will have to play with the shapes. Let's write again. Let's try the same triangle Also. Now let's change the fill shape because is the same as here, so it will not be easy for us to differentiate them. So pick another one pick. Let's say this one doesn't matter at this point date, right? See, it doesn't even matter where I plays the triangle. What matters is that you need to have this whole part of the circle covered. And then this line here has to be where you want it to be. Yeah, let's try something like this. So, as you can see, it really doesn't matter how big this triangle is or whatever. What you need to do now is selected strangle and this ring here, but not that part that we cut out. Then again, former merch, shapes and fragment delayed this part and that's it. You see, we have our parts, so I will redo the same manipulation to create three more off these parts like this. And I will accelerate the video if you didn't understand how to do it. You can just rewind and watch it again. But once you master the technique, it will be very easy. All right, let's make this one slightly go until here and let's stop for now. So fragment. All right. As you can see, we have a ring. We have also full ring before need. And then we have different parts here, which we can play with. 6. Creating a fully custom shape - Part 2: So, first of all, let's set appropriate colors according to our color scheme and this color. All right, So as you can see, I keeping this circle here just in case I have any problems with the previous one. But otherwise, that's kind of what I needed. So now I want to place Elon Musk's picture inside here. So let's do that in the middle. And we also should cut it out to make a circle out of it so you can go to format and here you can select an awakens like this, for example, but you don't even need the soft edges. But here, you just don't see them if you want. If you see them like this, which you can do is picture effects, soft edges and to selected. And here you have, ah, perfect circle. So just put it here exactly in the middle like this. Now what I would like to do is to create a shadow effect behind this ring. But if I select all of this parts here, and if I apply the shadow effects to them, as you can see, they also apply the shadow effects among each other. And it's a good thing that I kept the circle here because what I need actually to animate these things. So there has to be a circle behind to start with. So what I don't need actually is that part here. Now, if you made the mistake and didn't follow my instructions if you didn't create a copy of this circle, what you can do is that you select all of these objects. I mean, first of all, you make all this white. Then you select all of them together and you make a right click, and you group all of them, and that will create your ring. But what I need to do is that I need to take this one out. But before that, I need to position this ring behind it precisely. So just use it as a guidance. Okay? It seems that it's correct. Now, now I will dilate this circle here. Now we can play with all of this together. So let's add a shadow, do this circle. So now it looks beautiful. I mean, I don't know if you have the same taste as me, but whatever this is just for illustration purposes 7. Creating a fully custom shape - Part 3: So now what I would like to do is to create some lines here that connect to this individual parts of this circle. And we will write stuff on these lines. So let's do that. Let's insert a line starting from here, okay? And then we do the same, and we make a straight line, something like this. But obviously I want to make it more beautiful. So let's start with this one. Right click form and shape. First of all, make it wider. Let's make 1.75 points, for example, and then click here at begin are o type and select this here. As you can see the credit a little square here. Let's make it bigger. You can choose the size here. Right? So you see now this is bigger. Now, let's make also the width here the same. It was Yeah, 1.75. Okay. However, I would like it to be different color from any of those. So let's select, for example, some kind off gray if it fits. Of course, if it doesn't, okay, I'll try this one. Okay, so my idea is to basically put this like this here, but behind so you don't see this square here. So it seemed that it's going out off it. First of all, let's position it perfectly. You know what? I will change the color of this thing. So you actually see it better just for now. So let's put it white. Yeah, that's much better. So what I want to do is that these corners here, he'd perfectly, almost perfectly these arc. So I need to write it like this, as you can see, rotating it. Now I put it down. It seems more or less correct. Now, let's connect this to lines here and do the color of this one again, as we did before. And the good thing is that all what I need to do is to put this one behind. So send to back. And now it seems as if this little triangle here was sort of connected. You see, like a tether to this place. We just need to move slightly, this one So you don't see the separation all right, like this. So let's do all of these lines for each of these arcs. However, in order to make it more beautiful, we should start with the bottom one, and you will see why I'm doing that. So start by coping. Just this little part here. Oops. Okay. Then go down here and place it the same way. Here. Let's try to be almost as the where the other one was sent back. Okay, so we have our connector. Now, let's copy this line connected to it. So this one seems a bit bigger. Let's make it smaller. All right. So now you see, visually, they seem coherent. So the next step is to copy three times this line. Just two plays them here wherever, because then they will connect here. But let's make them at the right distance from each other. So since we have this top one here, and this bottom one placed here, all what we need to do is to select all of them, then going format a line and said distribute vertically. Now, the distance between each of these lines is exactly the same. And from now on, we can connect them. So let's do this. All right. As you can see, some things are not perfect. So you need to arrange them by zooming in. So this one you can put slightly higher now. It seems good. This one here is probably not long enough. Okay, let's move this line on the right of it. All right. Okay. This one also here isn't perfect. This one down here. I just moved them on the left with the keyboard. For now, this one still doesn't look good. Let's put it a bit up, Okay? Even if I put it slightly higher, you know, it doesn't matter. Visually. Could not see the difference. It's just one pixel higher. Not the big deal. 8. Creating a fully custom shape - Part 4: So, of course, the other thing which is problematic here is that they don't have the same length. But this doesn't matter. Let's first add the titles and then we will arrange the length so text box. And right now I'm going to write stuff that I found on another website. So I literally just found an infographic that explained the life off one mosque for the inspiration. But I'm not going to redo that. I'm just going Teoh copy some of the titles for the purpose off these exercise, and that's all. So even if this whole biography on this video doesn't really make sense, that's not the point. As I already said, the point is, Teoh, be creative with the video itself. So first of all, let's not make this a capital letter and let's choose a fund which is not Calibri. Since we use this Adobe got IQ as two D for this title probably should use the same one. So for now, let's just right what we have to write and then we will arrange everything. So copy this. Put it here. So what did you do next? Found it. Zp tool again. Take out the capital letter Now he I found it people and he found it. Spee sex and then Tesla. All right, so let's make first of all these titles bigger. They are too small compared to the picture, something like this. Now it has a bit more presence. So the line here became smaller. So all what we need to do is to extend it. And also it seems like the title learned programming will be our longest one in terms off with from here to here. So all the other ones, we can just based them on this title. So let's put it lower. So now, as you can see, I made this line here this size. So what we need to do is to make all these other lines also the same length, so it looks beautiful. However, if I click here and if I do that power point doesn't show me any help, t tell me where this line ends. So what you can do is that you copy one of these lines, I mean, or you just at any other line, you make it a different color, like, say, white. And then you put yourself some sort off uh, meter here. So you put it here. Go down. Make it perfectly vertical. Of course. Like this. Is it perfectly vertical? Not sure. Yeah, it seems like it is. Okay. And now reduce the size of these lines here. So it fits exactly this line here. This is just It's like you create your own visual grid. By the way, if you want to make sure to just change the size of this without moving it like this up, one down, what you can do is that you hold shift while you move it. And now I can only do this even if I put my mouth up and down. I cannot change the position. So this is much easier. Let's do the same for this one. Okay, Now they all have the same points. All right, that's better. Now let's position all the other titles as they're supposed to be beautifully at their spots like this. If you need to position them better, use the arrow keys. If it still doesn't work, use control plus arrow keys. All right, so just this title here's a bit high up. It has to be like this. Okay, Now, in order to make it slightly more beautiful. Let's change the color off. Just one word out off each of these titles. So going here, make it white. Make all these parts here white. And let's make this titles here the same color as this as the war started, which is probably this, let's see how it goes. Maybe it's not beautiful, but let's try it. 9. The boring but necessary detail rearrangements: As you can see, I'm trying to do things in a linear way to teach you. But off course, it never goes in a linear way. As you create your design, you will see differences and things that you want to change afterwards. And now I realize that maybe this background is a bit too dark, so I will make it slightly lighter either, Like now this is not good. So I better change the color here and make this color brighter like this. But more it or like any more like this, I prefer it like this. Also, I feel like all of this thing here is not in the center because there is more space here than there is here. So I'll just select everything and put it a bit more down. So it makes more sense. And finally this set off words. I also put it, try to center it between the circle and the distance up and down. Okay, so now we have our first basic slight, which we will animate later. And if you see these things like here on the screen, you it feels that these lines are not perfectly connected. Sometimes this is just an illusion, depending on the zoom that you're currently using. So if you go more like this now, it's not an illusion. Okay, Uh, so let's put this back and let's move this line perfectly positioned compared to the previous line. Yeah, it's either like this or like this. Anyways, let's bring this in front again. The most important is how things look when you put them in full screen. And as you can see here, it's still not perfect. So I have to put it higher, so I need to redo that. All right. Okay, let's try. No. Yeah, whatever. I mean, it's actually problematic point here that it never fits perfectly. So, um, let me try some other things. First of all, let's check that the width here is the same. 1.75 1.75. Maybe I can try to move this around. Let's see if it's better like this. No, it's still not. Yeah, that's better. I just needed almost trait, but actually, it looks better. So let's bring this back to the front. All right, so we officially have our first slide, which we will animate and keep building on afterwards. 10. Animating the Text Shape Title: So let's keep going and let's animate this light and then we will go down with the rest of the video. So let's start with this title here. By the way, you probably noticed that what I did here this is part off some of the design things that you have previously encountered. So, yes, it's one of the good practices to create sort of squares or rectangles and plays the wards inside them. You can actually use this kind of design in many other situations, but you also have to be, Ah, good at it. And what I did here is average, for example, the line between the letter How and mosque here is not correct. So I will put this a bit more down because really everything has to be, ah aligned. Otherwise, it's not beautiful, but I will leave it like this for now. So let's animated, and this is also something that I will show you. You can actually create really good animations with these kind of titles, so going animations at animations and select the spinner. Okay, now go Ellen Select Zoom and Mosque. Let's do wipe from left like this and started. Let's use a fly in animation, but we will change it slightly. So let's make first of all this fly in. Let's make it bounce. So going animations and mission pain. So you select, started click here, affect options and put the bounce. And here something like, I don't know, 0.25. Just Let's try it out. Yeah, you see, Did you see this little effect? It goes up and then goes down. I think it's really cool, but it will be even better with everything else. Okay, now, for now, let's make them all start at the same time, but we will change it slightly. Let's see what it does. Okay, let's just select the 1st 1 on click. And now that's what it does. Yeah, it's a bit too fast, so we want to make some sense with this. Okay, so first of all, let's make the World Mosque appear slightly after Ellen. So you select mosque. You click here timing and add a delay. For example, 0.5 seconds. You can try this from here. It's not easy to understand what's happening, because the word started arrives at the same time as well. So let's at some delay to the word started. Zero point FIFA's. Well, by the way, the wipe here is supposed to be from the left when the y did like this. So, yeah, we're getting there. Almost. Maybe, actually, let's make it slightly faster. Instead off 0.5, let's say 0.3. All right, this seems like something rather beautiful. Right Here we have a nanny mated title, which is really easy to do and which looks rather good. 11. How to copy animations: Okay, now let's animate all these parts here. So, as you remember, I wanted to animate this things here separately. So let's start with these arcs and go on wipe effect options from left. So as you can see, this is fine. But it's not the best off course because the animation still place perfectly from left to right. So it's very horizontal, and you can see here when it arrives at this point that the line sort of its covering it in a straight way like this. So it's not ideal. But for now, I didn't find any way in power point to make this fill up better, like in a more beautiful way. So let's stick with this for now. And let's also link all this part here to this animation. So click here Y pa's well from left this wipe from left and learn programming. Zoom now going animation thing, and this one should start after the Ark. Probably we will see, and this one should also start after it. And the title Heller has to come at the same time. So let's see what happens, right? Click here. Right? That looks good. Yeah, so we can reproduce exactly the same thing for all the other titles. And there is a way to, ah, copy the animations. Actually, it goes slightly faster than redoing them from scratch every time. So when you want to copy an animation, let's say you want to copy the animation off this arc and you want to put it to that arc. So you select this ark. Then you click on Animation Painter, and then you select the object to which you want to copy this animation. So here, that's it. However, as you can see, the wiping should start from top here. It makes a bit more sense, and now you should do exactly the same for the other things. So click here on Mission Painter. You click here. You hear animation painter here and this animation painter here, so let's see what happens. As you can see, what's really amazing is that it also copies the order and the timings of these animations , so you don't need to do anything, Actually, yeah, see, That's it. So let's redo exactly the same procedure for all the other titles, and I will accelerate this video while I'm doing this. But if you don't remember. Just go back And what you once again, how I did that. All right, So for the last one, obviously, we have to change once again. The direction like this. It makes more sense. All right, so this should be correct. Now let's check everything altogether. So Alan's picture appears right away. Then there's the title and then the individual parts. All right, that seems good. Now what we have to do is to keep going to the next slides. 12. Preparing the transition to bottom slide: So this was actually what I have done before. So afterwards I want to do this kind of curve like once again. I told you already. I got inspired from a website that did the very nice infographic about Ellen mosques life and actually also the lives of many other famous people. And I just want to do the same snake kind of infographic for this video. So here we will have to play with Power point. So let's say that here there will be a curve starting from the bottom of the circle going down and on the other slight there will be this snake. So what we need to do we need to make here a curve that will go like this and like this, So going insert shapes and click here at art. So we literally need exactly two arcs like this. So let's make this bigger. You can hold shift in order to give the proportions. Let's place it in the middle. Actually, let's make it go a bit behind like this. Don't worry about it. We will put it backwards. So we will not see this part here actually do it now. Sent to back now copy this and just rotated, make a perfect circle like this and connected here. It doesn't matter if it goes below the slide. That's not a problem. That's actually good. We need this now. Let's make the shape a bit more beautiful. And also let's make it this color here. So basically, we will start with this color and then make degrading colors all the way to that color here during our future snake infographic. So right click or metal object change the with. Obviously, let's make it 2.5 color, and that's that's the right color. Now let's add a shadow effect to this curve. However, when you want to add a shadow effect on a no object that you created from different parts like this one, you should group it first because if you don't group it, then the shadow from this part will fall on this part here in the separation. So once you've finished your object, that's when you can go and apply whatever effect you want to apply on the whole object. And, of course, let's send it to back like this 13. Fancy Emphasis and Exit Animations: now what we need to do is to animate this part here as well. Once this is finished, this part appears. But I don't want to make something too easy or too simple. Let's make something a bit more. Ah, fancy. So what I want to do is that I want that this whole ring here rotates once. Then this titles here disappear. And while everything here happens, this line here appears. So now we will have to play with power point again. So you have to be creative. You have to find ways to make power Point do thinks that it's originally not supposed to do so animating here all of this together. It's pointless and it will take us a lot of time because now this is like a full circle with different pieces. But we needed them individually before that in order to animate them one by one. But we don't need that anymore. However, if we group these objects now with the circle, all our animations will be gone. So what we will do is that we will duplicate this slight. Now we have to exactly same slides on the first light. We will take this out because this thing will appear on the second slight. And on the second slight, we can do whatever we want. Because there will be no transition between these two slides, you will not actually see any difference. So we will not actually realize that these are two separate slides. So first of all, we have to go here and to delayed all the animations that we have done so far. All right. No animations now group all their parts of the circle together. All right. Now we have one circle, and now we can animate this circle. So click on it. Add animation and more emphasis effects here and go on spin. See, it's spinning. So that's too slow, Obviously. So go on. Animation, pain settings, effect options A. Let's make it faster. So one second. And let's also add this bouncing effect like this, right? So we put this bounce effect here. I don't know exact seconds here. Just put whatever feels the best to you. You'll see the circle is bouncing a little bit. So now when these circle bounces, let's also make all of this disappear. But let's make it in a more fun way. So select everything, right? So the titles, the lines and the connectors all off it and go at animation and click on more exit effects . So I usually don't like super fancy effects because they look cheesy. But for this one, you can try, for example, Spinner, it feels like this whole thing is breaking apart. So then go animation pain and lead this start right after the circle finishes turning. Now, that's not good, obviously, but we're almost there, so it cannot start afterwards. It's actually has all of this has to start at the same time as the circle, but it has to have a slight delay. So start with previous click here, affect options. And since our circle takes exactly one second to rotate, let's try zero point six seconds. All right. Almost there. Almost there. I will say 0.5. So to select all the animations, you probably know how to do it. But just in case you don't remember, you have to hold control and then select 0.5. Okay, that sounds good. And now let's make this thing here appear who is a simple wipe from top but also wants these circle hits this spot. So once again it has to start with previous and probably previous here. Where's the delayed? Let's see 0.5 as well, All right, we have our weird fans animation, so let's see what happens when it's all done. I have the feeling that these things here break apart. It beat too soon, but, like slightly so, Actually, I have to put it back to 0.6 seconds. Delay or maybe try 0.55. I don't know if this exists all right here. It's actually seems exactly perfect. It feels like when this circle finishes rotating, when it actually hits the border, when it rotates one full time, that it's sort of hits something and then because it hits it, these things break apart. See, especially that we have this bounce effect that makes it feel like it's hitting something, all right, and then we will start our timeline. So as you can see, we have two slides, the first slightest to create all the animations that we need. And on the second slide we need to make even more animations. But since we need to group some of the objects together, some of the objects from the previous light. Well, that's why we need to duplicate this light, and then we can do whatever we want on the second slight. The only problem, however, is that if you decide to make some changes on the first slide, it will obviously be different on the second slight. So either you do the same the exact same changes on the second slide. But obviously it's better to perfectly finish your first slight, so you don't have any problems afterwards. So let's see so far what we came up with. All right, all right, that's it. Now it's time to build the rest of the time line. 14. Creating a Pan transition for timeline illusion: So now let's keep going and let's create this snake Infographic on the second slight. However, before doing that, I will quickly redo this curve here because what I want is that the end stops right at the edge of the slight and maybe go slightly beyond it. But here it's too much. And if I move it around, it really changes the shape. It's not very beautiful. However, maybe I'll try to resize both of them. Let's see. Uh, yeah, this works. Okay, so basically, I resize the whole shape by holding the shift key. And this way I keep the proportions. And this is exactly what I need. Now, this arc here, it's exactly the same as these are here. All right, so now let's duplicate this slide and to dilate everything on it, except this shape here. Now, select this shape and bring it up using the arrow keys, because it has to stay exactly in the same position. So bring it here. Yeah, right here. If you don't see that's fine. You can zoom now you see it. And basically, this is where we are going to start the rest off our cur from, so click here, copy this shape. And now one group it to get back our individual arcs. They don't have the shadow anymore, but that's not a big deal. So now it's rotated and, for example, bring it here. Now What you can do is that you can dilate this big curve here, and before we go, I will show you already where I'm going with this. So when you click here, let's make a shadow effect as well. And now click on transitions and select here the pan one from dynamic content. So now let's see what happens. All right. As you can see, it feels as if these two arcs here in between were attached. But there is a slight difference, of course, but when you will launch your video, it will barely be seen. So it's not a big deal, all right, like this. So the whole point was to create this transition 15. Building the Snake Curve: so now what we need to do is that we need to keep building this curve, and we can do it from here because everything else will fit. It will not be a problem. However, I would like to make something more fancy. As usual, I would like to make a curve which has Graddy and color, so the color changes as it goes. For example, it's one color here and it goes. It's another color here and here, and the transition between these colors should be really nice. So what I want to do is to make Grady int color for these kerf, So let's try and do it. First of all, let's insert a line, make it perfectly horizontal, make it the same width as this. So how much is this? 2.5, and now you can also do 2.5. Also, let's apply the shadow effected the same one, and let's bring it closer to here. Now let's extend it. Depending on where we want our curve to turn and we can, we will do the arcs later. First of all, let's make the grade in color for this line. What I want is that now, This color here is this one. So the next color I want to use is this one. So this color is already set inside our color palette. All right, so it's easy. So you go here, click on this right click format shape, Grady in flying. So here. Delayed all this middle ones. Click on this and select the original color. And also, we need to rotate the angle. If this doesn't work, has to be 180. Now. Change the positions here. Right? Like this. And, um yeah. And click on this one here and select this color. All right, so now we have our Grady in color. No. Let's keep creating this arc here. You can just copy the same pieces that you used previously. All right, copy this. Rotate and let's group them together. And now we have to apply the same color as this and color here. So rightly former shape so we can choose. Either we put it one color, this one. And then we kept doing greedy in colors from here. Or we can do it on the shape itself. But I prefer to keep this half off arcs the same color off course we need to apply the shadow effect on it as well. Otherwise doesn't work. You see, that's how we do it. Now let's keep doing exactly the scene until we arrive at the button. So let's copy this line. So, as you can see, because these are two different objects let me let me zoom in. We can see that there is a shadow here. So the shadow from this object is falling on this object. So all we need to do, IHS, put this one back. That's because our shadow goes from left to right. So depending on the direction off your shadow, you have to arrange the objects in the right way. Now this line, I want it to transform into this color here because this is another color off our palette. So from its shape, this car here, that's it. And also I want to make it longer. So this stays in the sort of the center off the screen. Now let's go be this whole arc and let's what they okay, place it here. Let's do exactly the same form of shape and give it just one car with this one. As you can see we again have this shadow problem here. Also not position correctly. Now let's send it to back, and that's it. No more shadow problem, all right. And I will accelerate the video a bit, because now I think you understand how this works. All right, So what I wanted to do originally is that this ark here arrived slightly under the slide. So in order to do that and to keep everything proportional, I would need to resize all these arcs and make them slightly higher like this. I mean, this is all the boring hurry. Arrangements moments. You cannot get away from them. Yeah, that's the time when you can correct mistakes and stuff like this, it's literally a lot off it. All right? Yeah. This is exactly how I wanted my curve. Let's see how these ghosts all right, As you can see, there, a minor mistakes like here, and this is once again the question off detail, arrangement, shadows and things like this. All right, Now it should be better. Yep. This is good. We have our snake. And as you understand, it's possible to keep doing things like this while going down on the right on the left or up using this pond transition and by starting whatever objects you are finished in the previous light by starting them exactly at the same spot on the other side, as simple as that. 16. Populating the snake curve: now I will create simple points year on this snake. But honestly, this is nothing crazy. Nothing that you don't know how to do. Yet I will just simply add circles here and then some icons and then some text basically copying this stuff here just for the illustration purposes. But like I said again, there is nothing that you don't know how to do yet in this part. So first I'll do the circles like this sheep Phil and I will just make the outline thinner like this, not a place it here and reduce the size of the circle. And I will do this several times since this part here is smaller. What I want to do is that I want to have three off this circles on each line and therefore only two here. So let's start with this line here. Let's put one here. Another one here, not too close like this. So we have space. And now let's put 1/3 1 here. So when you use Power point, the new 1 2017 shows you many helpful things like for example, here this Red Arrows show me that the distance between the circles is the same. But if it's not the same, remember, You have this option. You can do like this. So you put it here. Let's say this is You're mistaken. Now you select all three of them and go on format a line and then distribute horizontally. And the objects that are in the middle between this to that are the ages. These objects will be equally separated. So now we have our three circles. Let's copy them for them. The line below. Right underneath. And let's copy this to here. Put them right here. All right, so now we have the steps in our timeline. Okay? This one's were not positioned correctly. All right? The rest is very simple. The rest is just adding icons, aiding titles. And I will accelerate all of this because you literally already have done everything here in the previous part. I feel so changed the colors off these circles. Not completely white. Something else that looks better. Yeah, this looks OK. 17. Animating the snake curve: So now, depending on what you want to do and how you want to write your script and explain your video, you can decide what kind of animations you're going to apply to each of these steps here. But once again, what I use here is very basic. So what I would do is that I would make this a zoom this as well. And this text, I would make it appear as if it was written letter by letter, but fast. So this is how you do it you selected. Then you click on a pier and you go to animation pain here, nuclear effect options and here to the animated text all at once, and you selected and you put by letter. Now you have to put a very small delay here because this is literally the time between the appearance off each single letter, so 0.5 it seems fast, but it's actually will take you many, many seconds for all of them to appear. So I usually put something like 0.5 Let's see, yeah, depending on what you need to do, how fast need to go, you can arrange and change the speed. All right, let's see. Yeah, something like this. But of course, as usual, we should do the right order among all of this animations. So let's see what happens if I put everything at the same time? Yeah, that's fine. Like I said, there is nothing new in this part. So I will just copy this animations to all of the other steps. All right, so now we have all the animations off our snake. So let's see from the beginning, how it goes. All right. That said, we have all the animations on our snake, so this is very basic. So let's keep going just to finish in this design of this snake design that we started. 18. Continuing the timeline with a different curve: So let's wrap up this presentation by doing to last slides off this timeline. So let's duplicate the slight. Take out everything from here except except this huff off circle here, this one, we will do exactly the same thing as we did in the beginning. We will put it up in order to start our new slight from there like this. Let's see, pun. That's it. Yeah, that seems exactly perfect. So now let's build another curve from here. But obviously not snake that we did, but something that just goes down like this. So we will do a custom shape. So click here, then on a curve. And we already did that in the first project. No, I put it a bit too high. I guess I have to put it lower. Yeah, like this. Good to me. All right. Let's make this, um, format 2.5 and the same color this yellow. And also apply the shadow effect. Put it back, and let's position it correctly. As you can see, every time we do something for the second time, it goes much, much faster. All right, let's check. What are illusion is now all right? Yeah, This is good. This is very good. This is exactly what we need it. So I will have to slice like this one for space six and one for Tesla. And that's where we will stop. So let's for now, keep doing this time line. So we do exactly the same procedure as before. They put this up to see where it starts. It starts right here. And let's do another one like this so it ends up being almost fully straight. See what happens with this? There's a cut. All right, That's it. That's what we need. Now let's put one of those dots here in the middle. Another one here, you know? 19. Populating the second part of the timeline: Now let's make some basic animation. So here I'm talking about Space six. I already have all my pictures. So once again, just find a logo off space sex that is transparent on Google. All right, so I have mine here. I'll put it here. And that's also right. The world started. Let's use one of those funds that will really used Let's see how it is in the middle. Maybe also some shadow. Yeah, and let's put it a bit more on the left like this, this one a bit more on the right. And also let's insert a Space X rocket here that we will make fly upwards after. So once again, I also have my rocket. But you know the drill. You go on Google and type Space X rocket. You choose tools transparent, and you take the one that you like. So here's mine. All right, so here's my rocket. Put it down here so you don't see the flames because it will do to different animations for it. And before we do the animations, let's do exactly the same for Tesla on the slide below. So a logo of Tesla and Tesla car like this put the car down here. Tesla logo here, and it's just copied. The war started, all right? Like this. All right, this is good. Let's make this evict bigger out of Heston. Beautiful, okay. 20. Animating the second part of the timeline: All right. Now, let's animate all of this, and we will do a simple things. So for Space six, let's use this one. Go in turn. Okay, like this. And for this one, let's use one called flying, but from the left. And let's do this at the same time. I need to remove this. Okay. Picture, too. Let's see. All right. It's just that this is a bit too slow, so we reduce it like this. Okay, this one should appear on click. And for this, let's use animation. You have already is flawed in okay, like this. So let's see what happens. And then we click. The rocket appears. Okay, Now let's make this rocket fly. So there are several ways to do that. We can use, for example, motion animation. But I prefer to use another one so duplicate this light here. And let's use the amazing more transition more few okay, off course. Don't forget to take out all these animations and now zoom out, Place this rocket higher here, rotated a little bit and also place it outside of the slight. So you don't see it anymore, and you don't see the flames. So let's see what happens. Yeah, like this. All right, so the more transition is really cool. You can do many things with this. And as a matter of fact, the third section off this course is mostly based on the more transition because it's really powerful for now. You can just leave this. This is just a fun thing. And then it gives going down for Tesla, which we didn't animate yet. So let's do something similar. This one will be flying from left. But Tesla, Let's choose. Let's choose flowed down. I think it's really nice and off course with previous Let's see the speed. Yeah, let's reduce for Tesla a little bit. As you can see, I'm doing it here right now. You can do it like this is the same as clicking effect options and writing it here. It's exactly the same. So maybe too fast. Let's actually make both of them longer, you know. All right now let's make Tesla car appear just like the rocket so flawed in. And now let's make it drive on the left. So you click add animation and you choose here lines. Now the green part here is where it starts and the red part is where it ends. So keep it horizontal and get it out off the slide. But better put it further away. Because that way it will seem as if it was going faster. Let's see what happens. All right, Here it goes. Okay, so we're done with this animation. Let's see our snake from the beginning, and we don't Don't need to seal over this. All right, All right, here we go. 21. Conclusion of the Project 2: And now let's do a final slight to ask ourselves what's next for Elon Musk. So let's once again duplicate this light here. Take out all the objects from it. This line. Let's put it exactly where the previous one ended here and let's add a new one can actually add a fully straight line now. Okay for transition. Yeah, let's see what this is. Good. Almost. Yes, this is a perfect line. Now let's put this circle here again right in the middle. And here we will ask ourselves, Whats next four l mosque, and obviously, what is it? It's Mars. So let's just make a huge picture off Mars appear instead off the background. So for this once again going Google type Mars and select tools and pick the large pictures and then insert them here. Example like this make it bigger. So it's It's completely the slide you can crop it to make. It is therefore power point. Actually, let's put it up from here not to lose the bottom. All right, let's animate it and let's just make a little fate. That's it. So let's see Dessler go. What's next for L. A mosque smart and That's it. Here we go. All right. So we will stop this presentation on this simple note, right? Nothing fancy here. That's because I will do the most. Let's say innovative. The most crazy things in the next. In the third section off this course there, we will mainly play with three D shapes and more transitions. So we will basically push power point to the limit. And if you want off course to turn all of this into a video, you do exactly like I told you in the first section, you gone slide show you click on the rehearse timings, and then you play your animations in the right order at the right timing, and then it will export your video off course. Like I already said, he will probably do mistakes, and that's fine. You're not supposed to do everything perfectly from the first try. That's because everything else that you're going to do, you will do it in a video editing software like Allergy said. So for now, don't worry too much about it. What's important for us is the creative process and the different interesting things that you can do with power point to turn it into a beautiful video. So once you do this, you just export it. Let's finish it. Tesla or goes. Then it's Mars. All right, you click. Do you want to save the new slight timings? Yes. And then you just take file export, create video. Choose this resolution, create video and that's it. Now your video is creating here and afterwards you will be able to use it as you want to edit it to change the timings in. Ah, video editing software will be much easier. But this is something that I'm talking about at the end of this course. And so, yeah, Before we get there, we will go through the third section off this course, which is the most complex power point animations. 22. Congrats! Now you can move on to Part 3: congratulations for having completed your second Power Point video project. If you enjoyed it, please let me know by rating it using Tom's up or thumbs down. As I said before, there are several parts to this course. So this was Part two. Now you can move on to Part three, and the link to it is in the description off this class. In the third part, we're going to play with animated three D models inside PowerPoint, which is really cool, and we're going to do it about a strongly after you. Complete part three. You can move on to the theoretical part for where I will teach you how to use a video editing software to edit correct mistakes at music, sound effects and others to your Power point video. Finally, Part five will be a recap off all the important theoretical aspect about the visual design off your video. So CEO embark three
