Project Description

In this class project you will make a knitted cushion cover from a sweater/jumper with a silhouette applique of your dog (or pet, cats welcome too!) You'll see how to make a personalised silhouette template from a photo of your dog and apply it to the cover.  The project takes about two hours to complete.

Choose a great wool, acrylic or cashmere sweater/jumper from your favourite thrift or charity shop. You can even make a set of three cushions, two plain ones and one with the decorative applique, if you have a men's XL sweater and smaller cushions.

If you need a photo of another dog breed for a gift, or simply don't have a photo you think is suitable, check out Unsplash Dog Photos which are completely free to use.

Do post photos of your before and after cushions for the class to see, and send any questions or comments you have for the rest of the class. I appreciate all project uploads and will send you a link to my next class.
