1. What to expect from this Class: cosmic education. This is our name model, our new class for our Montessori court journey. I want to introduce in this model to as many materials as possible in order to show you how broad is this feel of cosmic education. You can start really early with it coming to the journey, but all the materials you are using for very young Children Starting from two years and a buff, you can keep this materials for your school Children because if they haven't learned it earlier, you can just use the same materials in school. In the cosmic area, that's really easy. All the materials you can use for very young Children 3 to 6 years old or even little bit younger. You can use those materials for school Children on they learn from it the same way the youngsters learn from it. You will learn in this model how to go deeper and deeper, starting from just vocabulary, starting from basic broad concepts and going into detail later, step by step in a monetary way. So I'm happy to have you in this class 2. What is Cosmic Education: as a general concept. Cosmic medication is, um, the combination off all the subjects of school where you learn a science subject except for mathematic short. It's a combination off biology, including AH, solar G, including everything that is in biology. It is about cultures, so it's anthropology, and it's ethnology. Cosmic education is also geography and history. The history of the world, the history off asserting country Sojo graphene. It's about the discovery of the world by people who are sailing the world with very simple sailboats and discover the world, um, cause me dedication is about physics and chemistry, and it includes a lot of experiments. Um, cosmic education is about astronomy. It's telling and teaching about the solar system and the universe about the stars in the sky. Cosmic education is telling Children about. People will live a long time ago on what were their experience. Cosmic education is also about religion, cause me dedication is about values, and it's about the economy. It's about the protection of the environment, and it's about what is the role of the Children in this world in their life. It's really, really important area and through many different materials and methods through exploration and research with the Children, which the Children do on their own. They will discover a lot about the world. There will be excited about the world they are living in. They will be become responsible people concerning the world's they're living in and this is what we want them now. As I mentioned earlier, you concerned What's the materials from the cosmic area? At a really young age, they are being designed for Children 3 to 6 years old. So most of the materials are designed for this age group and then in the 6 to 12 year classroom on 12 to 15 years a classroom. Experiments, projects and research take over the large portion off the costume curriculum in the Montessori classroom. But if the Children you're teaching did not have the chance to get to know the materials to get the work with the materials from the kindergarten Children's house curriculum, as we call it as Montessori ins, it is no problem because these materials are hands on materials, they're intelligent, matures. They are designed to make Children intelligent, bring them into your classroom. No method, the age of the Children. So there is no age limit for being too young or too old for using any of those materials. I can tell you when I'm teaching my Montessori classes to my adult learners, who are teachers having not worked with those materials. They're excited to discover the shapes, exciting shapes, different shapes of the countries and where they're really allocated in and how they are really connected to each other when the work with the geography puzzles from the Montessori , uh, materials so the materials don't know any age limit. And that's so exciting you can use the any time you need them or the child needs the one that you will have questioned. Take them out now if the Children you're teaching have been working with those materials from early age on, let's say from three often four years on and they know them variable and you are teaching them and they already 10 or 12 or 13. But there you're talking about the country's, the continents and the mountains. Take out those materials again, bring them back into the classroom on the Children will be right. Oh, I learned it already. Actually, I know it and whatever index knowledge you want them to learn at that later period in that classroom area, they will find it so easy and they will love it because what they know is making a home for the new knowledge they are acquiring now on. That is so important. If there's something that no already this is paving the way for new knowledge to come in, so don't throw them out at any time at any time. The materialists, They are really needed all the way through, though, so those are very, very valuable materials. 3. The Importance of Vocabulary: the importance of the vocabulary. We cannot think about anything we don't have a word for. So preparing the knowledge about the world, preparing the knowledge about things, how the world works, how history works, about cultures, about science. We need to first build up a rich vocabulary, which will allow the Children to think and learn about all these different concepts and parts of the world aspect of the world. As the sensitive period for language is before the sixth birthday. That means from birth, when the sensitive period of language really starts from birth to six years old. The most important, um, thing we have to do to prepare the ability to learn about all those fantastic phenomena in the world is toe build up the vocabulary off the Children. I've been talking about using precise language before, but at this point I want to make it so clear to you that you really have toe fight on to struggle. You really have to use every method possible to introduce as many words as possible. Toe the Children you care about, whether they are your own Children, your grandchildren, the Children you teaching kin, the garden and the Children's house are in school from the beginning, struggle and fight and invent methods and use every moment possible to teach them the vocabulary they will need later in order to learn about and think about our world. What do you mean by that? I mean by that that the Children from the beginning should be learning the right vocabulary concerning the animals concerning the animals that is the precise, correct name off each animal. If you go to this, do, for example, named the precise species of the animal. But you are observing. Don't sit beer se grizzly or ice beer or whatever type of beer you are seeing if it's a pan that you are watching se giant panda or Red panda or whatever type of panda you're watching and make sure that you use the correct worked now body parts off animals, too. Don't say the food, say the part or the claw. Whatever. Is that? The the precise work? Call the body parts of the animals. Bye dear precise biological names and don't use um, common words, which aren't talking around what it really is. This means that we ourselves, whether we have grant appearance, appearance whether we have teachers in kindergarden or we had teachers in primary school. We need to prepare ourselves. We're not science people. We were talking education, and this means that we have a lot to learn ourselves. But that's our job because later, when the Children are in school and they're learning about, there wouldn't be able to understand because I don't have the vocabulary now. We talked about the names of the species of the animals, the body parts of the animals. Now what abort at what about us? What about the body parts off the Children and Children and appearance from the beginning? And this is especially worked with the parents who are watching this program. Use the precise word for each finger. It's finger has their own name. Don't just a hand named the fingers by the precise names se chin and cheek and nose and eye brow. Um, and then later, when they're older, they could, huh? You are breathing with your lungs. Use the precise names. Don't just take food, Say leg, Say me se toes. I've heard here and say the fingers off the food. No, it's a go. It's hard. The finger of the food Use precise, ah, words. But those of the internal organs the kidney, the liver, the heart they are old words. The Children need to learn as early as possible so that, like the one the learn about the factions of those organs, they will be able to understand se blood vessel save Eanes use arterial is use the presides names for all those body parts. And, um, whatever you are talking about the body and find ways to talk about the but the body, the human body and the parts but those of flowers, Uh, these days it has become so easy. There are gaps Way I can easily Nate find the names off the flower that you are seeing blaspheming outside before we used books. But make sure that you struggle and find the precise name for each flower that you are looking at with your kid. Draw the attention of the child to those flowers and to their names at a great help to descend on a three piece card sets. Now, in the language area, we have bean using three piece card set sets to teach the Children reading for this purpose we were using three piece cart sets with very familiar words. Words what words? Where the Children cannot be mistaken, like the names of fruits or names off, um, colors. They're our farm animals. Very simple words, which they cannot be mistaken about. Now. In the cosmic area, we continue to use lots and lots and yet lots of three piece court sets to teach the Children the precise name off the parts of the flower in the parts of the lead, the parts of the tree, the parts of the roots, the parts of Annapolis, the shapes of the names off the shapes off the leaves, the precise names off leaves, the precise names of flowers and many, many, many things more. So. Three piece card sends a one of the materials that will guide you through teaching your Children ever seen everything's and it's something you can forget. Three piece cards that's also great to teach the name off sites famous, uh, sites like Stevens, considering Cathedral Indiana or the Eiffel Tower in Paris or um, and yet a famous sites of the world. If they are great material, and you should have lots of them and change them regularly introduced new ones because those make learning so easy and they make it fun and take away pressure. If you're using passes part of kids parcels which introduced the parts of believes, the parts of the flowers, the countries of Africa, countries of Europe, the countries of Asia and so on, make sure there is a way that you're able to name them. I haven't students. They were using the control charts for cheating charts for the teachers because they said, we don't want to be mistaken on which country out off the 50 plus countries of Africa. This is so we made a cheating chart for teachers so we could be sure to use the precise, exact name of that country. And it's better to cheat and it's better to tell the child what? Let me check it out so the child will learn what I forgot that I can check out. The child will learn. My teacher takes answering my questions serious rather than giving unanswered which might be wrong. So precise language concerts, Also the names off countries, names of countries is another warning. A want to give you names of countries keep changing. Throughout the years, the decades. Don't rely on what you have learned when you were a kid in school it might have changed because countries continue to change their names. And there's another warning If you buy Montu Sorry materials, they're not being updated continually so anti today all the monthly surpasses off. Africa have only one Sudan But we have to countries Sudan, south Sudan. And so then we have to. But they're not in the present until today. So we should be ready. Really careful. Also other names of countries Make sure that you used the precise ones, the accurate ones. I can tell you the names of the countries I learned in school. A lot of them don't exist anymore. What its European countries. When I was even a married woman, already a teacher. Already we have a country named Yukos lady and today we have five countries which are there . Where has been us Labour Before there was Czechoslovakia, but there was no check with the vacant anymore. And that's just recent changes. And many, many countries keep changing the names Boarders, kitchens of please be precise on what is the truth off today there's a present truth in geography make sure that you have the right names for the right countries. Um, of course, of the parts of the flowers ordered the internal organs, they don't change names. But we have to make sure that we say the right ones before the child can't name, um, things. Countries, flower parts, body parts, what, before the child doesn't have the vocabulary. There is no way that you can explain anything about the functions. So the first step in teaching history, geography, biology and and and and and is giving the right precise for cabin leverage with the kids. And this is the work which needs to be done before the Children are six years old. Of course, all of us continue toe a grade our vocabulary, and I hope we do, because as we get continued education, we continue our education. We will always upgrade our vocabulary. But even a vocabulary has been rich. It's so easy to include a few new words. But if I vocabulary has been poor, we can't learn most of things because we don't have thoughts to think, because we missed the words. So let the Children acquire as much precise geography, history, biology, vocabulary before they start school. And this be one of the most important, uh, duties off the teacher before the child will start school, because when they're in school and they don't have the vocabulary, you need all the materials they should have learned and memorized and absorbed in school, which will make your schoolwork so much bigger. So if you find out that you are a schoolteacher, as you're a schoolteacher or you're homeschooling mother or whatever you are and you have school kids to teach and you find out they miss out on a vocabulary right away. As soon as you discovered this, start taking out all the materials that are teaching the vocabularies before the Children can learn anything about it. And these Children will have a hard life because all these things that have to learn which other Children have learned before so they have much, much more to learn. And it's already also outside off the sensitive period, so it's harder for them. So we need more patients, but you need to do it because they can't understand what you told them about it. If they don't have the vocabulary so enough with a very serious and earnest and strict the talk. Just understand why in the coming videos and in the coming lectures, you will see so, so, so, so so many materials that will not do anything else but teaching names for things. And there are so many matures. I won't introduce all of them to you, but I'll introduce a lot of them to you. So you will see how broad is that aspect off teaching language to kids in the cosmic educational area. So just have fun doing it. Just take it serious, but do it with joy and with pleasure. And though it's the most natural thing that you could ever do for your Children. 4. Puzzles as a powerful teaching method: puzzles Palace are one of the very powerful tools off teaching biology. Geography? Yeah, those two, mainly ah Balaj in geography to kids with the puzzles, the Children take something into their hands. They are active to do something Most of the Children love passes. Not all Children, but most Children left puzzles. And that's why Maria want to. Sorry. Use this past puzzles a lot for teaching. Those passages are so great, they're so useful. And the price if you wanted to buy them or the time if you're making them by yourself is, um would come back hundredfold. Why, I posit is so powerful and white Children who do not like puzzles are still doing the puzzles off the Montessori Castro. No, I was answered the last question. First I was teaching a number of students who did not like puzzles. Any puzzle it it wasn't for them. Um, even simple ones with just 20 pieces, they wouldn't want to do it and they would find it very hard to do. Why is that so? Because the puzzles, the regular puzzles would you buy the way the pieces are cut is not connected to the picture order. The learning goal. Off the past, I've been keeping a number off geography puzzles for my diploma courses to show my students how the pieces off the pastors are not connected to the learning. Go and then it's just about patients and matching and doing and taking your time that you do the puzzle. But you're not learning anything. Actually, now, if you have a very intelligent child, intelligent child with bright minds, they're fast learners. So taking all the time where the puzzle is no. There's or active Children who love to move and to be active. Castles are not for them because they don't allow them to be active Children who have a very bright mind to ask questions. Puzzles are not for them because the regular person's you can't ask questions. The Montessori puzzles are completely different. Each piece is one learning go No, that's not the right way. The peace, The piece off the puzzle has has a learning goal. So let's say you do a puzzle off. The continent's off the world. As you're seeing in this module, each continent is one peace. That makes number one the puzzle very easy to do because we have only seven continents. That means we have seven positive pieces. That's very easy to do for a kid. And when it's easy, it encourages the Children. That's just it, then the past list in the Montessori classroom are made from wood. So when the Children take one p possible peace out, they can touch it and feel the shape. Let's go back to the continent of the world you take out, Let's say Africa, the Children. We feel the shape and the size of Africa. If they afterwards take out Australia, they will find how Australia has a very different shape and it's so much smaller. And they will get a picture off what they are doing or learning in this case, continent, which would be store in the sensory memory in the brain. This is why it is so powerful now. If the Children do a wooden puzzle off the pieces off a plant, let's say a flower, the flowers that you peek outside. They're so small it's hard for a small child's hand toe. Pick the pieces off the flour off the blessing off the flower, one by one to even see them because their eyes are not yet developed. But with the wooden passell, I take the pieces, the petals and a stem and the stamina one by one out. And the experience that one flour is made up of many, many different parts in the three piece cards that they get to know the names off those parts. But in the puzzled experience, the parts, their shape and their size and the understand how big things I made up off smiler things this is so important for the mind set off a person. If you experience that a big thing is made up off smaller things, you will be more inclined to pay attention to details. These passes also show how Maria Montessori, starting with a big picture with an overview and then go to the detail because if you know the whole thing is so big, you will value the details more. You will also understand that details, our details and details are not the whole picture, and I'll give you an example for that. My husband comes from Africa, and Africa is a big continent which has a lot of countries, and the countries are thousands and thousands of kilometers apart. And as the continent is so big. The cultures are so different on the languages are so different. But people in Europe believe that Africa is a village. And then everybody who has a brown face understands the language of everybody else was a brown face, and maybe they are relatives had those people going through Monta Sorry, education that would have understand Africa's one big continent, which consists of so many different countries. And it would never have such stupid and foolish ideas. Such wrong ideas, which was just showing that they haven't understood, ditto. And they haven't understood the pick p the big picture, the neither off the to in the puzzles of them in the Montasser class and retake concepts apart would take things apart. We take the world apart, would take countries apart and Children who like to take things apart. It's a famous that many boys like to destroy things because they take them apart, and the puzzles and a month is our classroom allowed Children to take things apart and to build them up again and to make them whole again. And that's just what Children love to do. Now, what about the egg span I mentioned in the beginning, the very easy puzzles, the parts of the flower, the parts off the butterfly. The parts of the leave can be done with three year old Children already because the experience and they sync with their hands, the hands are the tools of learning. So we start introducing those puzzles to them when they are only three years old. Um, in school, maybe they're 10 and they're learning 30 concepts. Take out the same puzzle again. Let them take it apart if they have bean using those puzzles when they were small, they would remember, and it will be so easy. But if they haven't, they will take it apart and see and understand much easier. What you can do is always more interesting than when you just listen. So pass bliss are another method, which is used to teach cosmic education. And there are literally hundreds off puzzles, wooden puzzles, which I used to teach mainly biology and geography. So use puzzles. Your kids will love it on. Your kids will find those subjects so easy 5. 3Parts Cards Sets as a teaching method for Cosmic Education d : another group of materials are enough important material for teaching cosmic education Are three piece cards. It's, um when you do storytelling when you tell cosmic tells you work with the kids together. So the teacher is working with the Children with a three piece concepts. The Children do not need you at all. They can work entirely on their own, and Children need toe work on their own. Now you got to know three piece card sets in the language area for introducing reading to the Children in the cosmic area. That three piece card sets have an entirely different learning go. The purpose off the three piece card sets in the cosmic area is to introduce vocabulary to introduce species to the Children. So you want to teach a cosmic education successfully. You cannot have enough their friend three piece concepts that's so, so, so important. Let me give you some examples off freebies card sets for teaching species. You can have three piece card sets, simple ones. Let's say the animals off Australia, and then you have all the different animals which live on the Australian continent. That would be cosmic education. It would be biology connected to geography. This is why we cannot divide those areas and not a possible three piece constant form. A cosmic education would be, um, migrating birds in Germany So you would have only migrating birds, which are living part off the year in Germany. And that's again geography, because they're migrating. But as you are not having the journeys, it's biology. You would have the picture off the bird and the name off the bird, and the Children would get to know cause the top because migrating birds that these parts are in Germany, only part off the year. So three piece cartons. You could have a three piece card set, MM landmarks off the U. S. So you would have the important famous landmarks which have found in the United States of America photo and name on. This is geography. Yeah, you could have three piece card sets with, um, edible herbs, edible herbs, wild edible herbs. This is again cosmic education, because the Children are getting to know herbs which live in which are found in nature and , um, only edible ones. So you always group what belongs to each other. You put it in one group as you see from the topics I've mentioned, the possibility of topics is endless. No, the three piece kite IDs are so crucial because they are again, turn and just lay it out. They look tightly. The compare pictures and they, uh, match names through matching names. They will remember their names because they are doing something. They are not forced to listen to teachers, so it's their free choice. If you have a large number three piece kites, it's in your classroom. There will always choose one or the other three piece carted as those are quite easy to do , and all the treaties credits followed the same rule. This is why they are so powerful in general, will always when you have free choice, when I have the time where they can choose, they will always choose one of them. Make sure that you have not only topics would you see relevant, but make sure you have topics which the Children Cyr Element and another hint I'm giving you for the three piece kind said. Make sure, but you do not underestimate the kids as the names are. There does always one card. It has the picture and the name. You can have very difficult things to you could have a three piece kinds and of all the composers of classical or baroque in music, that's hard because the photos nobody knows the photos. And those composers air so many. Don't underestimate the kids. You can have the names off the musical instruments, but you could also have the prints off the musical instruments you could have. All the body organs could have all the bones off the skeletal on You could have, um, all the, uh, organs for the digestive system. You could have the organs off a certain animal. For example. You have a child that loves elephants so you could have three piece cuts off the body organs of the defendant. If the child is interested in elephant like and get to know why the liver and the different Colin Parts and the girl blender. And what with what off the elephants are? It's so crucial a Montessori education. We don't need to force the kids because we offer them choices, but we know what they need to choose from. So if I know that I have to teach and not to me, I will offer different three piece cards. It's about a Not to me. I'm not to me off the way. Well, that's interesting. And that to me, off the shrank I don't to me and make it, but you make it specific would sharp which way? I don't to me off the human body. No, that's too wide. The skeleton that adjusted for guns. Um, whatever. You could have a not to move account as a three piece content importantes those names off the different organs. They stay the same. So whether the child is interested in cats or elephants are human beings or fish. We were created all in a similar way, so the general will get to know the organs their functions. Although the three piece carts that is not about functions about names only, but because of the location, they would get a hint about the function. But a function. The real bravery. Working with the functions is another step and next step for the kids. But if they don't know the name off something, if they don't know how something looks like, how would they be interested to get to know how it functions and what its for so the three piece cards. It is one of the very, very crucial, Um, methods of teaching biology, history, geography and so much more. Use it and use it are what there is no barrier. When there is no border, there is no enough. You can't have enough off three piece cartons as many as possible. Just start using them, start creating them. And if you are want to be a powerful teacher. Make sure 13 one new three piece card said a week. And then your kids will be always full of knowledge, and they will find learning easy and the result off that is not seen by you. It will be seen when they are in university. It will be seen when the graduate with their academy. Then it will be seen because the way they study, the way they learn how hard or easy learning is for them will be such a great difference. 6. Sorting as an effective teaching method : sorting. The Children have practiced sorting in the sensory in area, so they know sorting Children love order, they like toe, organize their thoughts. And this is how we use sore sorting as a powerful method for the cosmic area. What do I mean by that? What can be sorted and how can be sorted? The best for sorting is have different campaigners. Could be baskets or any other container on a three. Or have a trade, which has different compartments and sort what can be sorted way. We can let the Children swart living from none living things. We could let the Children sort plants and animals. Now you might think that's too easy. No, it's not. Do you know whether a bacteria is an animal or a plant with a virus? Is an animal or plant that's tired and checked on a pencil? Sorting animals and plants is challenging. Corals are the animals or plants, and there are a lot of things which are not so easy to distinguish so animals and plants we consort. Uh, we can let the Children sort different types off animals. That's the insects, mammals, birds, vertebrates, whatever category, off animals, reptiles. I'm Phoebe A fees. You can let the Children sort animals according toa different categories. Make sure don't introduce too many categories at a time. Yeah, um, don't introduce too much at the time, but it's a wonderful method and many Children don't know. Uh, you can let the Children sort plants According toa categories. You can let the Children sort plants according toa edible and non edible. Inform yourself first because a lot of plans, especially wife plants, are edible and you didn't know it. I still remember, uh, we had bunking on our field and I informed my friend, I said, Ah, we have a lot of pumpkins. Do you want to come and harvest? Is it? Yes, I'm kids. We have pumpkins, eaves, I said, We have pumpkins. Of course we have company leaves, I told her. We have been stewed, said We're really have pink in. But I am being leaves Teoh. Sure on. Do you know what happened? This is my friend, and we have friends until today, and both of us will remember with a smile. C came with her stroller and for three kids to my field, and she harvested big bags off pumpkin leaves on DBI lace because those are edible, Their specialty. She dried them. She cooked them fresh. She froze some, and she drives the rest because since she came to Austria, she had not been eating pumpkin leaves. Neither been leaves, and I've given her a chance. So there are many more edible plants than you could imagine. Ah ah, lot of flowers are edible, so make sure that you inform yourself first. But that's an exciting sorting activity. Um, you could start animals or plants. According toa word. They are at home, so maybe they grow in the forest or on a meadow or in the water for on the tree in the mountains, according to where they are at home. That's in sorting activity. You can sort according Toa countries. You could have, for example, let's say, the country where you are in the neighboring countries, depending where you are in the world. But, um, let's say me, I'm here in Austin. We have a lot of neighboring countries so we could have the flag off Austria and the neighboring countries. One container for each country. That's a lot, but well, it's a challenging sort activity and sort to Rick to the country's sorts. The name, the main language. Um, main landmarks, rivers, um, my own tens. And so on. Maybe famous people, writers, musicians, politicians. Whatever is your topic, you could have those containers and you let the Children sort different. Different things. So they understand. Oh, Austria baddies, Coast Letna Most shirt, uh, that year ends and so on. Um, sorting you could sort landmarks according toa continents. So Patch Mahal, Asia. Um I think Tower Europe at by state building North America and so on You could sort mountains according toa continents, That is, let's say, Kilimanjaro, Africa, Mount Kenya, Africa. Hey, malaria, that's a mountain chain. Um, Mount Everest Asia. Fukushima Not that's a city. It's not the mountain. So you could sort mountains according to continents. That's an exciting one. You consort rivers. According to continents, we have nine Africa ends Europe, um, Yellow River, Yangtze River, Isha and so on. You can sort, Um, we had landmarks, we had rivers, we had mountains. You could sort languages according to continents. And now it becomes exciting because English is spoken in North America and in Europe and in Australia as a first language French is spoken in North America and in Europe as a first language and and so on. You could whatever you like, but it must be clear animals according to continents, again. Here you will have double. But the Children would understand tigers in Asia, not in Africa. And the lion is in Africa. And, uh, farm animals are all over the world. So sorting will help the Children toe organize their mind. And it's important to have an overviews and organized mind just like an organized environment, huh? It's also helping tohave an overview. Well, I ever got. Musical instruments can be sorted to, uh, traditional dresses could be sorted and so on. So sorting is one very important and very powerful method. Have as many sporting activities and your Montessori classroom as make sense and half again and again, years sorting activities and your Montessori classroom. Now, if you have ah, all the Children who maybe are learning history and and more difficult stuff, sorting will again help them. You could sort, for example, according Toa centuries, the Cupid personalities that were alive events that happened in that century. How was the dress, huh? Who were the leaders the political leave leaders and so on. So even for harder subjects like history, you need really to have an overview. So swore thing is I get a very powerful pool to help the Children organize their minds. What happened? How wasit toe get really this overview? So we're sorting according to continents, According Toa countries, According to centuries, um, we could even sort according toa purpose like buildings. We could sort them according toa purpose for defense, for religion, for religious services and so on. So do not underestimate sorting activities as one very powerful method for your Montessori classroom for teaching all sorts of septic subjects from history toe biology to geography. 7. N: Magnetic or not: Is it magnetic or is it not? Whenever you can provide experiments for the kids, which they can do on their own by themselves. Of course, you might want to introduce them to explain the phenomenon they are looking for, but make sure they get a chance to explore by themselves. This is possible when you provide trace. This could be one possible tray that you want to prepare. You have a container, a bowl which holds. And there's different things, some of which are magnetic and some are not. And the children resorts, the magnetic saints items, the ones they're found to be magnetic into this container. And the items which are not magnetic, they will sort into this container that a magnet. And now what I will do is just this. They will take the things from the bow and you see they are really different, different things inside. And you can always exchange the items in the bow, add more, take out some, and they test then would the magnet, if the magnet can hold them there magnetic. If the magnet doesn't hold them, they're not magnetic and it will sort them. You can see that this one has different items in the ball. The same type of magnet. What is important is use a type of magnet thats the children can easily hold in their hands. This is why this U-shaped magnets are very good because small children's hand can easily hold them, is something is very magnetic and you provide a small magnet round one like coin. The children might not be able to take it off, and this is hard to hand, whereas the U-shaped they can easily hold it with your hand and put on all the things which you have provided. Another hint I want to give to you to make it more interesting. Provide things which look alike. May be half a similar touched, but some of which are magnetic and some are not r. One is magnetic, the other is not. Provide things which the children might think that they can't be magnetic possibly, but they are and address they think they should be magnetic, but they are not like metal which is not magnetic. The more interesting, you are the same that you put on this tray, the better it is for the kids. That's a cosmic activity which allows the children to explore, to find out, and to really set their mind to the phenomena of this world. It's leading them to physics, it's leading them to geology. So that's a really, really interesting cosmic educational tray. 8. Story telling as a teaching method: stories as a method for teaching cosmic education. That these stories as a teaching method for biology. Joe graffiti history, religion, as speaks astronomy and so on. The main timing or the Maine time period for teaching cosmic education. Toe kids is starting from six years and up, the most important 6 to 12 years. Maria Multi Sorry called this the foundation off science. This is when Children are ready at this time period. Alceste The Children start to sink in a more abstract way. They have stronger imagination. This is why stories such a powerful tool teaching Children about the world end about themselves. They love to listen to stories, and they can draw conclusions out of stories. Smaller Children cannot. But these kids can understand at the the moral off the story, the meaning, the purpose off the story. They can draw conclusions for their life. Also, Children six and up. By just telling them a story, they can imagine what's really happening. Um, and that's one more clue. Stories are interesting. Children love stories. Actually, everybody left stories. So when you present knowledge, scientific knowledge which otherwise they should study from a book as a story. Ah which sounds like a fairy tale. The Children will love to listen. They will live with the story, they will relate to the story. And they will, um, imagine relates to the heroes off the story. Now the stories that we use toe teach Children about them the world. We are not using imaginary stories because the Children will remember the stories, even though we don't tell them you have to remember the story, but they remember the story. And if there are wrong facts or things which didn't happen really that way, um, they have toe unlearn what we taught them. It's a very big responsibility when you do storytelling for Children that you tell the truth. So something that really happens. Um, there are so many people, important people, people who did great things in history, which you can use or who you can use to be the heroes off your stories. Uh, if you tell personal stories off people of the biography of people the Children can relates to the heroes off the story, and they will easily remember the content off the story, I give you an example. The explorers off the world like Magellan, James Cook, Christopher Columbus and others. They are really people who really explored the world. Now, if you take their biographies and you find not the whole biography but parts of the biography you can teach, um, scientists, Science toe the Children. Now which science can you teach? Let's get to the example of Christopher Columbus. What was remarkable? People believe that's the The Earth was flat. That is, teaching history. What did people believe at that time? Then Christopher Columbus landed in part of America off the two Americas. He believed he was in India. So history off navigation. He didn't know where he had really landed then history off geography. What's the people believe how the world looked like and which continents and which countries were there. But we can use the travel off. Christopher Columbus also to teach geography. How did he travel? What was his route through which, from which country to which country through which oceans we can use it to teach history in the sense of how was life on board off such a boat? We could use it to teach the history of America. How was life in America, then who was living there How were day living? And we take again? The No Christopher Columbus, mostly Children, will have heard about him. We will take a person. He's the hero off the story on. Then we can teach all these facts through telling and engaging. Exciting story. I gave you another example. James Book James Cook is known as the Discoverer off Australia. He wasn't Australia has been discovered long before him. Um, but taking parts of his biography, you can teach a lot. You could teach about the importance of eating vegetable and Fritz because he was the first sea captain who used pickled cabbage, sauerkraut and lemon juice as a means to prevent ah, screw V. So that's about the importance of eating vegetables and fruits. Um, it's also about listening to people who know better than we do, but also at the time of James Cook, Uh, much of the job for fear of the world has been known. It was known already they had maps, but it didn't have maps of everything. Of all the parts of the world, they didn't and he was drawing maps. Now you could help. Were the map strong? Then how waas the ship How did the Howard ships like? What? Did he choose a different type off ship than other people? So it's about history. Off transportation? Yeah, history, off transportation. Then it's another one. History off. Um, the social structure of the time. James Cook Being the son of a poor farmer or farm worker brother, he had no chance toe raise up. He needs social status. But as nobody really voluntarily wanted to travel people who had no other choice Joe's to travel. So explorers there often became People didn't have another choice. They're often criminals who might have been hanging in their home countries. People were hopeless and still thes. People almost outcast off the society. No chance to raise up the did great things. So the story of James Cook is also about values value, the potential off people, not having prejudices against certain groups of people. So that would be the story of James Cook. You could teach geography because his travels are really interesting because he basically traveled starting from Great Britain the whole world. He Canada, the U. S. I'm going around Africa on the coast of Australia, going to Tahiti and so on. And so on. So it's a lot about geography, too. Um, you could use the story, um, off writing off, written writing off the different ways of writing the killer enters of the kids in other cultures, or in learning to read and write if they are not yet reading and writing at that age. Um, history, of course, because certain ways of writing are not being used any more otherwise of writing a still use. So it's about cultures. Then who is using which way of writing it's again about geography? It's about ethnic groups. It's about languages. Some languages are written. In particular are letters, which is different from our own. Other letters or alphabets, are used for many, many different languages. Like the alphabet. The Latin alphabet we're using is used for many languages in all the continents of the world. So, um, is there a history of writing so you can use the history of scripts or a different ways of writing to kindle interest in reading and writing, which would be, uh, language language area history, which is history or a job or feet? Because where are those people who write in a certain way? Um, right thing is, it was an interesting topic because how the world is being connected like our Latin alphabet is being used in every continent off the world were asked the other alphabets I used for just one language language. So that's a That's really, really interesting. But you could use stories to teach about nature animals. You can teach about the life cycle of animals. Um, you can use stories to teach about the body systems in the human body. It's early. After Children are six years old, they are able to understand parables. Maria Montez Sorry. Used also a number of stories which were actually parables. Like she caught our blood system, the Big River and the different organs. She gave names to toe. Let the Children understand in a very easy way. What? What is the purpose of those organs on that? That story? The Great River is so special and so great and so exciting. She was a medical doctor. Shin you about it. So in when you teach cosmic education, whatever aspect of cosmic education, what its anatomy of the human body. General biology it's about plants, about animals. It's about geography, economy, whatever you teach from the whole big, um, world of cosmic education. Use real stories, true stories toe. Teach the Children and you will get to know a number off great stories which I will tell you, and I will show you more methods which you can use in order to bring the stories and the learning goals off the stories to life. So in this model of cosmic education, you will find a lot of stories because storytelling cause me. Tails are one important method off teaching cosmic education to Children six years and above. 9. Puzzle Parts of the Leaf : This is the famous parts off the leaf puzzle. One of the very, very first cosmic materials that you will introduce to your kids. What makes this person special is that the passage pieces are not randomly, um, divided, but that every passage peace, um, is representing one part off the leave, uh, which has their own work. So, as I've told you in a previous video, the first thing you do concerning cosmic education is giving the vocabulary toe the Children, which will then allow them to learn about definite as nature and other things in this case , about lease. So, um, how to work with this policy? As you can see, this is a wooden board and as with the class before it's, it's two boards a clue to each other so that when the patty pieces are put in, they don't fall. So this positive stable, you can carry it like this being put together, and this is what makes this palace special. Um, if you wanted to do one of those, the shapes, the exact Montessori shapes and colors and the models can be found for free online. You can find them when you go. It and if you have the right type off saw, you can actually saw this out off one board. Then, when all the parts are sold out like this, so you won't have one board, which has, which looks like this. You clue it to a second complete board, which leaves you with a shape. Then you need to paint the parts in the right colors. Make tiny little handles as you can see them so the Children can take it with a pincer grasp, which would prepare them for writing on using off other tools to, um, we have been making its men several times using pins, which it would be the cheapest way and doing them in yeah, the size of the posse could be bigger than this might be bigger, but it's not necessary at all. I wouldn't make it much smaller. I really like this size. 30 best. It's not even 30 25 25 to 30 by 25 to 30 centimeters and a square shape so it can be made by yourself if you have woodworking tools. And it's really not hard to make if you have electric tools. Um, many, many years ago, We tried to make those materials with a sewing it by hand with a small hands, so on, and that's quite hard takes time and patience. But it's still possible, and somebody's cool blue using a hand. So this will turn out to be a very cheap material, because those boards are not expensive but all you bite him in the heart with school a store. The hand saw is very, very cheap and some pain, so that's really easy to make and cheap to make. If you are skillful with the sore, I've had students who made it using foam and cardboard. This older works another way that would work is cutting it out with a knife from a sick cardboard. Cardboard were just used in bookmaking, a sick brown cardboard. Now that works also very well, and that's my personal method. That's my favorite method, because I like to work with cardboard. I'd like to work with a knife, and I find that quite easy. So what you can see already each. They are not many pieces that Paul they have very few pieces. This means this puzzle can be made by Children successful at a very young age, and it will really teach them how to make puzzles. The fine motor skills will be developed very well, and they will become conscious off how leave is being built up, even if you do not work with them, even if you're not there to tell them all the precise words which are needed to describe I leave. Even if you're not there, they will become aware of those parts off the leave on. Then later, when they get the vocabulary, it will be easier for them to retain if ever you happen to work with a kid first, which is useful if you were. If you have a young child and they want to introduce this material, this cosmic material parts of believe, it's very useful. If you are working with the kid and you tell that the child let's take out the steep you'd let's take out the patio. Mostly people call this stem, but it's called Patio. Let's call the monastic, the patio out believe has Vincennes Wien. Let's take out the Viennese off the leave, get and then believe has a blade that's the plague of Believe all these Arctic played off the leave now Let's put them back in. Let's put that step here in. Let's put the patio in. Let's put the Vincennes in the the every leaf has a lot of beans and now let's try to put the blade off. Believe in and you see the blade is the biggest part off the leaks. Oh, uh, left out two words. Which eternal will learn late that because they're not separate parts in this puzzle. So I've left those words out. I've just used the vocabulary, which I can teach using this material. What if also realized that have not been using a three period lesson? Because the focus is on building building the puzzle as a prince support the three period lesson could be used. This is, uh, oops. This is the stickpin. And then you see where is the problem? This is the step you showed me to stipulate, and so on. But as those parts have the same name but looks likely different in different leaves, it's more useful to just say the vocabulary as you do it. So you say blade means means this is also part of the blade, and this is part of the plate, so the viens are inside the blade. Um, then there's the trip. Your lesson. So it's battered. Keep it very elected. Informal. Not so much teaching and focus on latitude. Can you put the petrol in? Yes. That's the one. The petrol. Can you put the V's and that two pieces and then let the child do it. Can you put the blade in? Those are three pieces. The played? Yes. This is part of the blade. Yes, I like this. Can you put another part of the blade in? And you see the beans are within the play and the one more part of the blade, right? So this pass is stolen use. They don't use it to teach for a long time. Let the child build it and as they do it and let the child do many different puzzles off this kind. Like I'm having the horse here and there. Many animal pulseless and, uh, plant processes like us. And they were there teaching the kid that each plan and each animals consisting off several parts and that each part is separate and has their separate name, that's all. And if they just play with it, take it in and out is still very useful for them. No, as I mentioned, that is part one in our tactic. Siri's are doing the detecting. Sears and I have made a photo of this would be the three piece card set andan the others Next step in the didactic series three piece carted off. Believe that looks exactly like the leave and the puzzle. The child might have heard you because you've been working with him, their names off the parts of the leave, and now he can do the three piece card said. That looks exactly like the puzzle, and the child will now focus on the names much more than in the past. So we go only one step at a time. That is number two in the detect stick sequence. Let me make it so that you couldn't see the, uh, these Pass it on the next one, have a three piece crater that looks exactly like your possibly let me show it to you more clearly. I've just printed it out for you so you can see the three piece card said it looks exactly as the puzzle. And now, um, the next step for this puzzle is the next step in the didactic sequence, for this puzzle would be looking like the three piece card said. But now there is a description. The description is telling the child something about those parts about the function where they are located and so on. And this Card said, Is Early is fun for Children who know how to read already. So Children who who know how to read this is what you can give them. They It's not Mina. It's not according to their age. If you have a four year old child who can read and many Children know how to read when, therefore this is the mature you give them. But if the child can read only when he seven, then it's when the child is seven. You can give this material to him, and again you can see the detective sequence, the puzzle, the three piece card said on the card said, which is giving an explanation about the material on When you go this way, the child we'll know a lot about leaves their functions and apart, which is a very detailed knowledge, but a knowledge that allows much other knowledge to be built on the's foundational knowledge. So this is something very important to start with this puzzle at a young age. After this here is being mastered, you can introduce the three piece cards it right away, even if the child does not know how to read yet. So you can introduce it because the Children who now know the names, um, we'll be able to master it if they don't know the names, then through seeing the words how they look like there will learn the names because there is no use doing this without wanting the Children to master the names. And then as soon as the child is able to read on as you can see what this cards that are here that I've printed out for you. The texts are quite, uh, short. So short text on single cards and courage Children to read much more than long. Text in sick books. Maria Montessori found that out. That and this is when she cut she was the knife to cut the books of the Children into pieces because she found out when they just see one single piece, they are encouraged to read. But when this is a CIA book. They're discouraged because they feel it's too much for them. So these cards, therefore, are much more effective than a biology book, which might have the same knowledge. So what do you want to do? How do you find such texts on the Internet? You might copy them from the biology book, and they presented like this in the tree, pissed as in the quite sit, but you match the text to the leave you much the text to the leave. The Children will find it much more joyful and enjoyable to read information of biological information and to learn from it. So that was the detecting sequence off the leaves present. 10. Parts of the Maple Leaf : we have seen the puzzle off the leave where the Children could take out the different parts of the leave, and we have seen the three piece court set that names those parts off the leave. And here we have a different type of leave. Uh, it's is so important that the Children will build general concepts. This is why you need to teach them different leaves the front trees different, um, shapes. So they will build general concept after having seen a lot of different materials. We have the same words the same parts of the leave, but the species off the artery, spacious off the leaf, is a different one. So it's again a three piece card set the same principle, but a different shape. And this will help the Children of only toe better. Remember those words those near vocabularies of the parts of the leave. But they will also understand that no matter shape off the leave, the parts of the leave remained the same, and the words that name them remain the same. So again we have the full leave. The blade, the margene, the app picks. We have the V's, the patio Onda step here. And how often have I heard? Children and even adults. And also teachers say the stem off believe this is called Pactual. On the down part is to stipulate, has a different name. And, uh, if we want Children to learn something about nature, we need to give them the right vocabulary. Which day need Teoh? Uh, Tom read and learn about nature. So these are the different parts off the leave from different species of leave. And if you if you have three or four different types of leaves, it will make it so easy for the Children to grasp the concept how the different parts of the leaves are being named. 11. Parts of the Flower : for every wouldn't passel cosmic puzzle. We need a three piece cards it by making the puzzle doing on doing, manipulating the different parts off the flower. In this case, or the horse or any other animal or plant that is, um, made in a wooden puzzle. The Children become aware that every plant and every animal consists of different parts and how to separate the parts. It's like creating order. How is a plant or an animal being built up with a three piece cart sets? The Children are learning the names off the parts they have been removing on, putting back into the puzzle frame. Here we see the picture after a typical puzzle off the flour, which Maria Montessori developed. It's a flower, and it's not given a special name, but all the parts off the flower can be found in other flowers, too. So this is why it's called flower, and then the tiny, tiny parts of which the flower consists but which are important for the blaspheming and for the development off the flower are being named. The named parts are colored, while the rest remains in black and white. So we have the Seppo the piss. Still, the petals we have, the stay means. And this thin the three piece card set, which is giving special names biological names, in this case a part off the cosmic learning area. Because the Children are learning something about biology. When the three piece card said is teaching the names off things which they know already every day names, then they are used for teaching, reading and writing the learning goal of this treatise cards that are clearly the biological names for the parts of the flower. I want you to be aware again that the Children cannot learn anything about flowers if they do not have names for the different parts of the flower. If they do not have words with which to describe the flower, how would they learn about the development? The blast mean on everything else about flowers? If they don't have vocabulary, which they need to talk about toe, understand information about so the first part and the first step off teaching cosmic concepts to Children that is biology, history, geography and others is giving the Children the real world's the vocabulary they need in order to learn about, and this should be done as much as possible before the Children have this cool, um, celebrate their sixth birthday because this it's then that the sensitive period for language will be over. 12. Star Constilations, 3parts Card Set: Can you see the Lord variety off constellations which could be seen on the nights car? Why do I say could? Because thes days many of our Children are not seeing stars anymore because they live in big cities were light pollutes the nights kind people Human beings have been fascinated by stars on the different shapes and constellations in which they come. Oh, through history, in every culture, in every ethnic groups stars play an important role. Especially if you teach history to kids how the world has been discovered. How the Sheikh the sea captain Sorry. Seek happens, navigated using the stars how important the stores were for navigating, um, and history. Then it makes sense to teach the constellation students to Children. Um, also we should understand that when the Children are not seeing stars anymore, something is missing. That's something normal. As I mentioned nations, ethnic groups, the street people have been always fascinated by stars. Actually, Steven love stars and if they can see them in nature, will be so good. What I found out. Just learning the names off the different constellations by looking into the night sky can be quite challenging. So when they don't have the chance to work with them in the classroom, focusing on the names and see just the stars off. One consolation on wild card. So isolating the difficulty, it makes it much easier. And they just worked with it. It's a game. There's no memorization involved. After a while, they would be able to see the consolations on the night sky. It's important toe isa like difficulties and brain nature into the classroom to for the Children to get to know the names and some background background information. Um, but it's also nice to go into nature and see them. Um, especially if it's autumn or winter and the sun rises sets very soon. That's the perfect time for Children to look at the stars because they don't need to wait so long. It's also nice, Nice toe, have some guided towards to see stars better. But now let's go back to the material and let me just tell you this is a very challenging material, and I will tell you that for this material we changed the manner in which we work with three piece cart sets. The constellations are really challenging, so this time we put the pinch is to the side. We first match the names because for the three piece for the consolations, it's much easier to match the names first. Some having a cart ear. It's the Orsa major or some major is here. I'm having a very good Cassar where it's cancer. Cancer her Que les? Where is my Herculis? Here? No, he's a small child or a child who doesn't know how to read yet was working with these cards . It would be like this taking one cart and then looking at that. Oh, this looks the same then taking another one. This has been met. Have been matched. No, no, no, no, no. Have been matched. No, they look the friends. Oh, this is the same. They would just look at the shape off the letters. But as I mentioned before, even the Children cannot read in this three piece cart set. The names are much easier to be matched. Run them. Uh, the signs the Soviets signs as there was a cold this mob about astrology, it's astronomy. Getting to know the night sky. We have let me dipper. Well, have you this just sidedness Cygnus? Oh, it's a mess. One here. I'm having score pew I'm having did many here is or serious different pronunciations, as those names are not originally English. Second secretary, ISS secretary ISS that has a lot of stores. I'm looking for lead for the Big Pepper, where it's my Big Dipper. It's here. I'm having a Riah very famous. So the X sign. I'm looking for Casa Pia. That's also a very famous one, capped with Corrine is here three more left and proceeded names. Even though there are so many constellations star constellations, it's so fast to match the names. Polaris. Why, yes, and I'm Romeida. That's those a famous name. Now let's go to the Stars off course when you first get this to kids. Um, when the Children are small, you might not want to give all the sets to them. You sorted out. Give them just 10 different um, constellations and give the ones that are easier ordered. A very different like you could use the South and Cross and Secretary is because they look so different. It's easy to distinguish. You could have, for example, Paris and the Lady Dipper. There is some similarity, but still it's the friend enough to be distinguished. Now let's see if we can match the courts. We have here one that's like a lying only that's all right. We have one that looks like a part. Let me see if we can find the one that looks like a Curt. Oh, that's the Big Dipper. Right? Then we have the famous one. That's Orion. And of course, the Children don't know yet how it is. So they could be holding it. Compare, Compare and Ryan. Why is it so? It s so famous. All the stars are so small then that looks like a person. Don't you think so? Looks like a person. And that's what you less looks like a person. And this one looks like a why that's cancer. That's also easy to seven Cross and Liber looks like a my. There's another one that looks like a cross. Which one is this? Another one that looks like a cross. Oh, that's sickness by past more star Societa process only forcers side. That's half several stores, Then this one looks like a snake. Now the Children who are doing this for the first and they don't know which direction to turn, so they really have to go on compete. Oh, that's Graco. There's another one that looks like a why. Let's see which one is that and the killer will soon find out. You see, that's tourists. I'm holding it the wrong side, but they will find that trust them, that they will turn a practice round. If not, if they're not doing it by themselves. Tell them you put her in a quartz run to see which one it is, so that one has worth big. Bright star sex gets appear, and they saw I was holding it the wrong way. That's a funny shape, this fun shape, no cold. So that's and again, you see, I need to turn a cards in order to find it. That's that's Corp. You let me have one here. It has so many, many, many different stars, but all the stores are quite small. Which one would that be? Oh, that's Orsa May Door or some major. Then doesn't it look like twist? Two people holding hands That's jammy. Then we have looking like a triumph of Catholic or we have very good. But you see, that's the wrong way. It should be like us. I would not know it from the beginning, but it's helping them. Our with the orientation in space, having toe corn occurred. That piece well, this be again. It's like, Where is the looking like court? Maybe turn it around, I can't see it. So let me guess. I should actually look for what has not stand. It's not this one. Just look which one. It's not. Take a terrorist like a terrorist is missing. It's not purse ice, just like the ones that you have not done it. So what? This wrong? I don't one wrong. Oh, it's not there. You know what? I have not cut this piece or I have lost it or another child has lost it. This is something that must not happen in your classroom. Please use it to control all the sex off all of games of all the parts on a regular basis, because of if a child would do what I've been doing, just looking and looking and looking which one to put it on? It's not there. It will be a big disaster for the kids because the control of error is being spot, and it's made a teacher who spoil in the control of a row. So in case the May court and the name right but lost that you need to take out, you need to take out eat. Okay. Back in this case, I waas not looking carefully enough because it's Leo and belongs here. You see, it's new. I just over the child says need to look a funnel. This place is still empty. Isn't this? Yes, that's you. No. What else? When I need this one which has so many so many, many, many, many, um, one of the most. If it's the one that has many, many, many, many can be found easily. Secretary us something else, Missy. Let me see. Oh, Aquarius is missing. Let me see. Oh, pair source. That's first choice. But it so it should be like this. And now completely now this said will have the Children to be interested in space and then stars in general. It will help Children toe develop patients looking tightly and maybe asking about the story . Why are the names like this or what do we need? 1/4? And then you could go into history many times for a lot of time, student. I'm not naturally interested in history. Some Children are but a lot of not even Children. People are not. But the stars are something concrete. They see they, uh they're beautiful. They give us a peaceful feeling. So maybe starting from the stars who do the stars that you could go to this tree. What are the names? Who? Waas theorists. Why wasit cold or who called it? So who gave the names? Who? Why were those names given? And then what do the people need this the constellations? Four. How weather orienting you could go into more geography likes about space. What are the stars? Um maybe how far other away or is it seat that you could go into this year? Are all the consolation seen all year long? You could go into job, Dorothy. Our consolation. See only where we live. Are there different constellations in different parts of the wall? So this is teaching a lot of geographic too. So you you can go from here to other parts. Um, the constellations as one way off, starting with something Children are naturally interested in. We as Advil too much. That's not important toe. They should learn something for life, but as a starting point again, starting from the interests of the kids. And then you could go in many other areas, many other topics. So don't overlook the interest of the kids. And it's so great and Children love going out in the night. So we'll be a great that TV tea getting out in the dark, maybe on a mountain, observing the stars. And after the Children have done this several times, they will by themselves recognize the constellations know Marley does a look. Look, look, look, love there. And they would say, Where do I need to look? This is helping them to look, knowing what to look for, and then it will come by themselves. You don't need to do anything anymore. 13. The Solar System : this three piece card said, is a little unusual because it's not about the planets, it's about the solar system. So the main parts off our solar system are being introduced to the kids with the names in this three piece carts it what makes it so surprising that each component is being portrait in exactly the same size, even though the sun, which is not a planet it's so, is also so much bigger than all the other planets. And it's supposed to so much bigger than the moon, which holds is not a planet but the moon. All have the same size because it's about learning the names and how they look like. And it's interesting how Khan trusting the moon and the sun look like both. Morse readies the Venus yellowish, and then you have Jupiter with some stripes, almost like an Easter egg with Saturn, with the rings around Knapton, almost dark blue, evenly dark blue are almost evenly dark blue. You run us almost evenly like blue. The earth is also mainly blue, but as there are continents and Louds, it has a special look, and mercury looks a lot like the sun. Now you might ask, Why are those important for kids? Where is the right time to teach them that? Generally, we introduced the solar system quite late to our Children. I would think what is under on Earth it's more important. Children generally are very fascinated with the universe and all that it holds. They're fascinated by the stores and by space. And if we want to direct the minds of our Children in the goods way in the right way, when we want toe, allow them on. When you want them to be compassion about education, we need to take them by their interest and teach them what they're interested in in order to make it easy for them to learn what their not so interested in. But there was another reason. In the cut Montessori concept, Maria Montessori first gives always an overview off the main concept. She always starts from the large picture, which allows for not to go into details, which might be hard to understand for little Children, but just giving the big picture with correct wordings, correct pictures and teaches the Children rail knowledge on when they have a good over the Then she starts to go more and more into detail, and this is also how she starts a geography. She starts from the solar system, goes down to the globe, then toe the seven continents before she will teach the kids about the province. Were the living at advantage of this way is that the Children feel that they are learning something really, really important when they started space. And, um, when they get to their own province, where they're living on the streets where they are, you have gang so much over the and so much important knowledge that they can easily accept and learn all the knowledge about where the living that what is close by while we started with the streets around where they live, trying to introduce them to geography will not me turned to self the kids, because we're often the kids have this feeling. But I know the street where I live. Why should I learn about it in school? Onda miss a lot of knowledge because they close down their minds. Ozil. When you start from the place where the kids are living, you give them the impression that they are the center off the world. They are the center of the universe, and that holds a lot off, um, eagle centrism. That's like an eagle centrist IQ world view. We're giving for the kids, but it would give them the large picture about the solar system. First come down to the earth, just being one planet among many before going to the continent and then understanding that Europe because I'm teaching in Europe is a small, almost a smallest continent on our globe. They will get a very right, uh, picture about, uh their importance are not important in the universe. They will get a clear picture about their role and who they really are. I think it's all about humility to giving a positive humility, also teaching the Children all for our universe. When you start to teach kids starting with a city or the town where the artist street word a school is this is teaching them pride, self centeredness. This is the most important. This is why we have to study it. And that's a very wrong worldview. We cannot continue like this. This has to do with values, too. Has to do with humility. And it has to do what respect considering others to looking out off myself. And I think this month is our concept is so nice and all these things are being part without words, just through the sequence off the lessons and the materials you introduced to the kids. 14. The Continents/Colored Globe : This is the continent's globe. In the tactic sequence, the continent lobes globe comes after the sandpaper globe. And as you can see from me turning the globe, each continent has their own color. This color needs to be maintained, so it's like it's acting like a signal toe. The Children, Um what? Which continent is being concerned now? Which continent is that? Um, I rapidly want to go through them. I have taken the globe out from his stand number. It's on the sand. Words can turn, but then you can't see and article. This is what's important. Those globes. What can be taken out off their stand. Now let me show to you. This is how a regular globe will look like Europe, Africa, Aisyah, Australia, South America, North America and Antarctica. It's nice. Have you can tell the Children, for example. We're living in Europe, this tiny red continent, and it's really important that you use words to describe them so they will remember. It's red and all the continents material. It will remain red, but it's good as we're teaching geography that the Children will get a 90 idea, and Europe is really a tiny continent Australia is also small on articles bigger than Europe, more or less. But the compared toa Africa. Europe is really small compared to Asia, which just by the side, it's really tiny. And you control the kid's attention to does characteristics. Um, yeah, uh, then you Comptel you can use this globe. So number one is teaching them This is our global, which were living then, too. This is where we are living now. If you have kids would come from different parts of the world. It will be nice that you will tell him. You see, uh, Jamie's mother was born in Africa or a Susan STAD was born in North America. Or when you are looking at pictures of animals or film or you hear a story about a kid, you can tell the kid this happened in South America. So you have an idea that different sayings are happening on different continents. Toe have an idea on of which animals live on each continent so you can use it again and again. So this is one of them, a tourist that might never be taken out of your classroom because you'll need it again and again. What is that was important that we, um, through this without even expressing it expressively, we're teaching the Children right understanding of geography. Because if you see that Europe is so small in Africa is so big and Asia is so big, it will give the Children the right understanding off uh, what is bit, which continents are big and small. Then also, you can look at it from different angles. And you say, If I look from this side, which continents are close to each other Yeah, Actually, Austria, as Europe is closest to Asia and Africa, it's you need a ship, a boat or an aeroplane to reach North America. But it's not so far, but Asia North America closer. Now, if you look at this side, which Continental's stock on article, which continents are close and now by using the colors you see South America, those islands were just so part of South America, their closest on article. This is why, if you go to South America, let me joins in the right direction. If you're in the south of South America, you could and you're using the boat, you can see icebergs. Um, it's important that also get this, It's round. You can go all around you, and you can ask them to use their fingers to go all around also, and this is not aspic was important to be able to take it out from the stand. You can use it to explain the year what is really a year. Tow them if you have a yearly So cook, which he actually should have in your classroom. Teaching the kids about the seasons off the year on the month of the year. No, When you celebrate a birthday, you can use the globe. The child who has birthday will take the globe in their hand stand where they're months. Is that say the child has his birthday in May, so the child will stand close to May hold the globe and you explain to the kids, The world is going around the sun. This is what's important in a game is so cool In the center, you will have the sun, the glow. Our globe will go around the sun all around the sun in a soco one time and that is one year now. You know, if your birthday in, I pray and you are now four years old. And then you let the child go from April to April, all around the yearly, so candid supporting you have the yellow circle with all elements there and the sun in the middle one and you come two and three and four. The globe has made this far journey four times on that is four years on. Then in another month you have another child who has dispersed Lee. And again, one year is, let's say, from June to June on the Children. I get in understanding the metal where you start from its always one year, and this is giving them a really good understanding. So Desk Globe is so important for many, many, many things. You can also use it for experiments explaining day and tonight you could use a flashlight flashing as a lightning one side, and then you actually, where is the light and will say it's from here to here where it starts. They will throw your words dark. So this globe come here is for many, many, many different things on its, uh, can be started very early. And what you can see from this globe also that in the months. Arjo Graffiti CURRICULUM You don't start from small. You start from big and in my understand my experience and understanding. This is making it so much easier for Children to really understand what Joe Birth is all about and to understand what its location on the globe all about, which is actually geography. This makes it easy to understand mapping how a map works, and this is so clear. It's about seven names because we're seven continents. You so you have seven names on you can use it and take it out again and again. And whenever you have something about geography, you can take it out again. So where is it? It's here. It's here on when they know the continent's. That's the big picture, a big concept. They need to know it long before they need to know the country's, because that is a smaller concept. And it's harder to understand what is the country if you haven't understood what is a continent. So actually, I love the Montessori curriculum. Our starting from the big picture on the big picture actually is the right picture. I just tell you, from the point of view that I'm experiencing again and again, uh, people having the feeling that Europe is so important and Europe is so big. It's because they didn't start in a month Sarah curriculum because then you will understand Europe is in the center of the world. But it's really small, really, really small. It can fit several times into Africa, which is much bigger. So this should be more important and it will give us a different perspective on the world and on what it's going, what is going on in the world and we don't tell those things those concept things to the kids. But as we work with the materials, they will really start toe, understand that a lot and understand it easily. 15. How to make your own continents globe: Hello. I've told you how to use the continent's globe or colored blue. If you want to buy this from the Montessori stores, they're quite expensive. Although they are very easy to make by yourself on, I want to show you how to make them. And this is a continent globe self made, not really ready, not yet ready. But you can see already that it's working. It's perfectly round, even though our since 100% round you can recognize Africa, so matter. Continents were not glued in the right colors. Um, you can use regular acrylic paint to paint over the filled so that each continent will have the correct color. You know how to make this? I want to show to you. My my experience is that these self made globes are much more stable. They're more resistant. They really they're more better quality than the ones you buy. I made experience at those bob ones as they're just plastic plastic, and they are 2/2 spheres. Once they fall, they break easily. But this waas I've dropped this one many, many, many times. It has still not It's time of broken. It still looks the same um the only hard thing about this is to fix the continents in the right Exactly Right position. You can recognize Africa, Australia? I need to paint this brown aunt. Yeah, I think Australia and South America, Of course. Um, taking this as ah Madi will make it so easy to stink the continents at exactly the right place. But first, let's get started. There is a fast and easy way. And ah Hardaway, this one was made the Hardaway. I will straight. Both. So the Hardaway is. You take a regular balloon. What? You blow it to the size you want it. And then, uh, you use what are Y? It's sello tape to glue this part toe the balloon so it will be completely flat. You could also use the saluted toe flat in the balloon because there is no perfectly round balloon at all. Or if you want to save these work you have seen my balloon is just burst because it was old , it wasn't new. And those balloons day, they don't have a long life. You could buy a very cheap ball. That's not, um, a doing. Edward. I'm not being paid by them, but you buy the cheapest of balls plastic bowls that you can find and you see that this is quite big. I like it that way because it makes it so handy as a globe take off the price. Those are coming at different stores. Just one your room, and then you use this as your base. In this way, there is no way this can burst and you don't need to bring this into shape because it's already a perfectly round shape. So using a cheap plastic bowl is the easier way. No, what you need is newspaper. Don't use the smooth and shiny ones use really black and white newspaper the ones that is really great because it will so better with water. You need wallpaper glue? Um, the one I have is for heavy wall tapestry. But you can use any wallpaper glue anyone. People, you will work fine. You dissolve this. This is a powder white powder. You dissolve it in water. Um, if you use less off the powder and you wait for another time, it will become sticky like jelly. So when you dissolved this in water and let it sit for a little while it becomes like a jail, like a jail. Like as if you had just jelly or Adam. Something like this. Um, a little bit jet. A jelly structure will be fine if you find out that you have used too much water, just include a little bit more off the powder. Good. And then you need newspapers. So the newspaper, you tear it into small pieces. Small leg less, the smaller the better. Because if you make the pieces off the newspaper really small, the surface off your earth of your globe will be really smooth. So you small, small, small pieces of newspaper What I do. I like it the fast and easy way. I would use my jelly glue, my wallpaper glue. Pour a little bit on top, pour a little bit on top of this, smoothing it with my hand and then stick the letter pieces off. Newspaper army smoothing stick. Another one smooth, and it's take another one, smoothing it. Now, if you're not in a hurry, do one side at the time, so if you start from the top side through that and then let it dry for while two or three days, depending on the weather because when it's humid, it takes longer to dry. When the air strike, it drives much faster. Then you turn it through it from the other side. No, you big advantage. If you're using a ball like this, uh, you don't need a lot off, um, newspaper you didn't need and a lot of newspaper. You don't need a lot of glue just a little bit to make it perfectly smooth, perfectly sticky toe. Be able to work with us, so one or two layers will be perfectly enough. Um, also to remove the bull structure from this. If you have a very good pain, really good pain, you could use it. But still, the Children would feel that that it is a ball. So I want this to go one or two layers of newspaper with wallpaper glue. The structure will be different. Let it perfectly dry and then paint it all over with blue acrylic paint. Use a beautiful, shiny blue not to light, but also not too dark because that's what that's the water That's the ocean. So make it dark, like the night rather lighter blue. Not if you are using the balloon style which works because this is made from a balloon that's made from a balloon. So it works, then the difference would be that you need toe. Take many, many, many layers, but paper would war pick newspaper with wallpaper. Glue would become perfectly hard. Can you see impressing what almost strength is becomes perfectly hard. It has been cut open. This was not to make a globe. This was to make a base. This is why we have something here to let it stand. As you can see, it becomes sick like this. I will show another one. This is not as sick, but it also works, and if you look tightly, you can still see the newspaper inside the layers of newspaper. Now, if you have used to use it in a newspaper, you will need several layers off a crate paint and, depending on the quality of your acrylic paint, 34 or even five layers off blue acrylic paint before the wolf it about the newspaper will be completely disappeared. That's not the problem. That's how it is Any time you want to paint something with, I recall with acrylic paint, and he wanted to be real and even surface. You need three layers to four layers of acrylic paint, so don't you worry about it. When you paint this, make sure that you don't take much pain. It's better to have more thin layers than to have less secret layers. Um, a mystic that is commonly made when doing this work. Is that large pieces of newspaper being used because people thinking that's a big surface? Let me wrap the paper around. This doesn't work. It will look Brinkley like this one. Small, small, small pieces would bring you the smoothest surface. Now if you have the round strong Ah, bull, whether you used the balloon of a lot of newspaper or a ball and less newspaper, we have tried both methods out and pause. Both methods spring perfect results. It's always the in perfect results when there are mistakes. My students lead those things with me, and I'm always having the bad results in my hand and the good results they use in their schools and kindergartens. Word your teaching. So let's say you have the perfect round blue globe. Now you needs the continent's the easiest way to do the continent's let me show you. You look for felt in the respective colors off the continent and those felt pieces The 111 pieces are filled. They are really cheap. They're easy to find in the cheap to find I didn't find the white so I will use this almost white for unpractical. I have perfect yellow for Asia I'm having saying are red for North America. I'm having perfect P for South America. What is missing? Red for Europe. This is right. I will use it for Europe. And then one more Africa is missing. I mean, really Australia, Australia, Australia. Oh, yes, I'm having brown for Australia and 16. Continents of the World: This is the first past map. What? Which Children will be working for the learning go For this passenger up is to get to know the seven continents, their names, their shapes and their location on the world. This is a puzzle which needs to be introduced were any that means when Children are in kindergarten age still long before they go to school. Merima to sorry starts her geography with an overview. So we started with a globe understanding that our world is round and then we move. So this passing map which is still around their Children, have seen the globe which is round. And now they're seeing a map which is round. And we could explain to them that in order to make it practical, uh, the globe has been cut into and flattened. We can show it to them by having an apple which we cut into, but we can't make it flat, so we would them we explain it to them. That's the We make it a picture from on top. We have flattened it, so we have a front side on the backside or a front side on the backside, depending on where we are. So it's better to say one side and the other side some continents. As the world is round, they go from one side to the other because our club is round. But because the colors are there, the Children can still easily recognize That's this and this are both on. Article on article is white and it's on the down part. It's important. Do not introduce this map without having introduced the globe to them, because when you see the globe and the C list, then you will understand as its sound on the dunk part. It can be seen from a front and from the back side. These are two pieces off the same continent. We have a tiny part of Asia here, and the Children who have seen the globe they will understand. Yellow is Asia, and there's a tiny part going until almost North America. When you first introduced this pass, A map also puts the globe by the site so they can compare. It's the same colors and the same shapes this time. Actually, it becomes more interesting because Children can take out the continents. Children can take all the continents and told them in their hands. And this is Africa. Africa has a very particular shape, which the Children will easily remember if they are holding it in their hands and manipulating it in their hand. So for the past, you actually take out and put back in. And the way you do this, a ship put it out. Africa. I'm Article two Parts one and article, but two parts South America, Australia, Europe and North America. And now we have an empty possum out of the blue. He's the water oceans on. The Children will see that there was some remaining pieces in our edge. So belonging to North America in red that's belonging to Europe and yellow They belong to a shop in brown belonging. Teoh, Australia on degree belong to Africa on we explain to them those are islands on as everything in this world belongs to a continent, they belonged to the continent. They have the color off. And now we put it back. Who put North America back and we put South America back. We put a ship back on and you know Oh, there is a tiny part of a ship which so missing now Africa's shape is remaining, they can put it back, and the Children will soon find out. South America's much smaller on the down part is much narrower than Africa. They could ever try toe compere the shapes that's putting back because we're on the puzzle . We put Australia back, and we put on our tika back. And now, with all the continents back in their place on the first thing we want the Children to do is to be able to take the contents in and out, as those are only seven words seven names. It's very easy, even for a very small child, Let's say, a three year old or four year old, they're easy to learn seven words, which are connected to seven colors, seven continents and seven shapes. Different shapes. That's very easy for a three year old or four year old kid. Easy to learn. This overview is so important, helps a lot when they will lay to learn a lot more about geography. Um, what else can they do with this map? They could take the positive parts out as I've taken them out. Place them on paper on a trace. The continents shape on paper. They could do it with one continent or two continents as they like. Four. They could try to make their own map using the shapes so they could. Either. You have them to cut out blue paper and then trace the continent's either on white paper and color them in the right colors or a green paper pink, orange, red and yellow paper as it as the colors of the continents, and then cut them out and glue them to that pasted under blue circus. But it could also, um, trace them and then paint them and place them the way they are. Really, they really are like this ones you see there are place them as they really are and trace them. And then afterwards that's also possible. You could also let them trace the continent, cut them out from paper or from foam on that you can use it for sorting, sorting activities, animals off Africa a share, Europe, Australia on Article South America and North America and the Children was sword, which is a very important activity, always for them to organize their thoughts. But it will also find that there is some animals which are found in Morgan one continent. Some animals, like farm animals, are farmed on all the continents, but a lot of animals are found on Ali. One continent, like the kangaroo, is found only in Australia or did bingo, many others only else premium. And the other animals which are at home only Nesha like the pond, the beard Giant panda, The red panda is at home in Asia only. I was the landmarks. They consort landmarks so you can connect more activities to this. But the follow up activities only after the Children are very sure off the names, shapes and colors off all the seven continents. So as this has so few positive pieces for on this side and want to five on the side. So all in all there, nine puzzle pieces for the seven continent. That's one of the very easiest passes that you could ever give to a kid. So introduce it really enough during the sensitive period for language. So it stays in their mind and everything else was just geography will follow later 17. Continents Star: What we see here is the basic circle off the continent's um it's a circle kind off a circle because our world is round. And so the continents, which are not really beside each other but in one way or the other somehow close which other or not, because the world is round. So this is also round. Each continent is on a try. Amber in the triangle hasen the color off the continent. All the continents map the Montessori color, and then on each triangle we see a globe and on the globe. The continent, the particular continent, is be marked or colored in the color, which the continent has on the continents map, so the Children can easily see the shape and the size of the continent. On each of these triumph courts, we have named labels, and the name labels are also have a frame in the color of the continent. So even Children who can not read can lay out Sissoko in the correct way because of the color Cody. And then we have a little bit of information very short and brief on cards about the continent. Now this is like a basic material on this basic material can be used in many, many ways. In fact, I'm even encouraging that you would be making several sex off this and combine E set with one a topic. So the Children have this chart or so called off the continent, and they can then, um, organized or sort what's been lost to each continent in rows where the continents are what they can sort up could be cards like this one. Or it could be really optics. No, if you are working with Children were not yet reading. I'm suggesting that you leave out the information carts because they cannot read them, so you just don't give it to them. You leave them out like this, you have them in your sore. So as soon as they are able to read, you include them. It's an additional information on the circle for non readers would look like this. But even though the Children are not it reading, we're learning the continent's name the color, the location, the size, um, at the shape. And then they, even though they're not really, ever noting my pistol in the kindergarten age. Like five years old, they can still are already do a lot of sorting activities which will help them organize their idea about our world and about geography of our world. That most basic idea is to sort animals, and for this you would be using really animals. Another idea would be to sort rivers, of course, real photos of the rivers you could sort mountains, landmarks, famous people free most personalities. So you could have, for example, Nelson Mandela for Africa. You could have most hurt for you, um, famous personalities from those different parts of the world. Make sure they are relevant to the Children are relevant to your learning. Go. They're interesting would be musical instruments that is traditional musical instruments. So you would have very different, um, instruments on each side, but you wouldn't have anything in Antarctica. You could pose a traditional cost use. Make sure that you emphasize that those of traditional costumes. And that's not what people wearing every day, but because what people wearing every day it's the same, basically all off the world and may many more things. Um, they Austin. When this type of things are being taught steel types of being talked, that's not the idea we simply fight. That's an over the over the continents. And then, if we look at, for example, Africa, such a big continent with so many, so many thousands of languages and cultures, different different cultures. If you look at Asia, Arabian countries as well as China are in Asia, India's indication. So this has so many coaches, so many religions, so many. So we are simplifying yet we're making, but they're organizing. But we do not want to do Stewart types. For example, if you were using white people for North America, that would be a very Ron stereotype, because the traditional laws Americans were not quite, and today people off every color complexion living here. So the Iran stereotyping is what you should not do or clothing like you have. Dress is dressing styles, as I mentioned today in 2020 for every day for walking, for hiking, for working. No matter what people come from, people are wearing the same suit and ties the same type of shoes, the same types of bags. Um, school uniforms look the same in Great Britain, which is in Europe and in Africa, so don't do run stereotypes like to send to let people in Africa what traditional things on the ones in Europe, where jeans or suits make sure the information give this accurate, But you could do historic sense. That's very well. You could highlight similarities like farm animals are in many continents, not in all, and article doesn't have any farm animals. But you could have typical animals which live early on this continent, and you would find a lot, which is only a ship like the Great the Child Under or the Wreck Fund. This only Asia, the tiger only Asia. You have the Big Five, the jurors, the pop Obama's, which is in Africa. The Lions. Yeah, a lot of animals which live only in Australia. Oh, lead article, then the Rose animals. They live in a particle and in South America and in South Africa because they're kind of, um, my reading between the continents. So make sure the information you give us accurate, but you can use this for a lot of sorting activities, and I'll be back in a minute to show you one of the sorting activities. So I've prepared a basket with left marks, important landmarks off the world, the's landmarks, you combine them online. They're made from plastic, but they look quite typical, quite accurate. And I like to use really optics much more than using pictures. So I prefer using the landmarks, then using the pictures of landmarks. So let's see what we have. And let's sort him we have Big Ben and that this in Europe, statute of liberty. I just North America. Um, well, the cool siem that's in Europe. We have to panacea the Panta. That's also in Europe, in Greece. So we have a ready three different monuments from different. It pops in Europe, and they look for different shapes, different purposes after the rough that's also in Europe. I get the French type of building. Oh, something interesting that's in North America. And the man that's came into the mountains. Um, well, let's look what the pyramids. They are in North Africa. So they are in Africa. Okay, let's see what else? Another obsolete. And that the Egyptian Monument, that's I think, of course, put it so that we can see better. We have the great war from China. That's a ship. We had the Eiffel Tower that's again Europe, and we have these very famous. Um, stack. It's from South America. That's down house. What, Yourselves in Europe. So many different, uh, pox. Oh, that's a typical one from North America again. Another one from Europe. That's again. Eataly were already two abilities from it lead to from Great Britain, wife to France. One. Greece. We have another pyramid, but this pure meat. It's not from America. The's pyramid is from South America, not from Africa, South America, South American cultures. And we have one of the most famous sights of the world. That's, um, the famous Pat Mahal attached. Mile is in Asia, in India, so we have the Great Wall, which is China, and we have the Patch Mahan, which is in India. But we have another Asian side. That's a Buddha statute, which is also from a city. Now, this word waas all about buildings, famous buildings. As you can see, one continent was missed out, and that is Antarctica. We have nothing from Antarctica because basically there are no historic buildings. Um, because all those are historic buildings to have importance in history, learning history, yes, sites which are being visited and we don't have any of thousands on Antarctica, way have from the European point defeat. There are no really historic buildings in Australia. There are buildings, Um but that all the buildings, the famous buildings in Australia, they are not really Australian history. Older, the only grounds who who built those buildings If we did another work, not buildings, historic buildings, but, um maybe landmarks in nature. We would have a lot of things to do here. Or if you have animals which live only on this continent. That would be so many because the animals from, um Australia, they live only in Australia. So the Children might ask twice and nothing in Australia. So if you have those bought landmarks, maybe you would want to add a few pictures. Maybe the uprise Sydney, you could add. But there are not many buildings industrial average of being visited. Australia, Australia's main visited because of the natural sites. And, uh, not so much because of building. So that's a big the press with Australia. So when this work is done, what the Children would do this in this kiss? That's the sites of historic buildings that would put the buildings back. And you might say yes. It is a historic buildings. So is this history or is it geography? It's that again it's approved how history and geography is connected a lot. If this is one work, they would have a basket. Where to have the the carts. The cards are inside, so the continent are inside to make the circle, and the labels are inside and it is in one basket. It's visible. It's divided, so the Children are able to know that is one work. Another on another basket could be, as I mentioned to say, SoCo back with animals. And if they do that again and again, this will give them a real idea about Ah, world and give them a like an overview over our world. 18. Puzzle Map of Africa: I want to introduce to you the passenger off Africa. What you see here is the empty pass a map and you can see the concept. You have the beach wooden board where you have the holes missing pieces basis Africa. Yeah, close to Africa is a yet that's here. But you have, you know, African European really close to each other. When you're standing in the northern part off Dinitia, you could actually see it Lee at cell cliffs. But when you are in Morocco, you can see Spain. It's so close on. Actually, the refugees were hearing about in the knees. They're crossing over here most of the time. Few refugees crossed over here in Tunisia and we should really understand. This is a very those a few kilometres, but they're still kilometers. It's not meters. Um, yeah, I like Teoh. So Africa's really connected to Asia. And to you, it's between those two other continents. But it's a separate continent. Important also is to mention it's a really big continents composed many, many, many different countries on those different different countries are seeing here. I've prepared for you bringing all those countries from the past. Mac toe the control man for the continent of Africa. I do not like the control capital because it's self refusing because countries a cell and, um, and three chord to find out. Um, which country is really work? Because a lot of, um, arrows and lines where the countries are because the carbon and it's a big but the country's as so many. So it's easy to start from one ant and you could start for any end general. People start from northern Africa and mostly peace. The Children would have heard some of the names off those northern African countries who have a last citizens from these countries in Europe telling with us, especially from Egypt's um. But today I want to start from the southern part ready extreme south of Africa. That's where I want to start today. This is South Africa, so Africa and then a middle of South Africa is a small country, cold Lizotte. This is their own country. This is south of cricket, and the next one this fun. Shea that IHS Mozambique have one coastline. No, I was like people most big speak Portuguese on then, here to the corner we have. Although the funny shape. We have Somalia, Somalia That easy to dio is the I am off Modesto Mother basket that if you put this, the Children might ask. And what about this? Yes, These two I Let's our country off. Mauritius! Okay, Next Go back down to So the southern part of Africa. This bitch country is Namibia and many people. But Namibia can still speak. German does having a dreaming quality before. And then we have this country. It's Botswana. That's a really famous country Because I have a very rich culture. We'll have that country s Zimbabwe seen Bob with That's Zimbabwe, these narrow small country. Yeah, you see, if you didn't know it, This is Malawi. Quite small, big leg there. But you can't read it when you take out this path of peace. And that's why I don't like the printed control maps of this is, um now we well, big country here this turns on Yep, times I asked beautiful animals but there are you see legs, big legs. But those air to small countries here, which are connected to tens of in this country, hopes it isn't the best way to continue Uganda that Uganda But let's put it back. It's hard to continue with a small small ones. Let's go back to the south. South is worse. Sound that Zambia? Oh, unless what? Where my friend is coming from. I have a very good friend, Angela. She's coming from Zambia and I like for a while. I also have a friend from Malawi, actually my way from Sandy. There's a big country. See, what is this big country? It's great on this country, actually, um, pathum up it, says Zaidi. But this is not say if anymore. This is called Democratic Republic Off Combo. He's combo. And in Africa there is a river called Combo and two countries through which this river is flowing. Call themselves combo and that's one of them on a map. It says the U. That's wrong. Very wrong. It's the name of the country's combo and now with Angola, and they also speak Portuguese. See here Mozambique speak Portuguese and here in Angola this speak Portuguese. The Portuguese were the first Europeans would try to, um exp your Africa. They took their boats, big ships and explore the coast of Africa. NDA have thrown the first maps. Okay, let's see we have in that country called Gamble. This is what we call Congo Brazzaville toe know Because bus a team, a practical Republics It was a Democratic Republic of Congo, possibly the duo CoCom, because the Kabul River flows through them. And that's the name of Joseph. Someone says In this country here, almost in the center of Africa, there's a small, tiny country can have the art piece, which is denia. And it's interesting. There were several countries in Africa which would also have a name. Guinier, this is Equatorial Guinea A because sequitur is going here is going through here. You want to know this country? I like this country. This is Kenya. Can you have a beautiful animals and beautiful lasted and I love it. And now we can take out of Uganda and fitted tear between Combo and Kenya. We have another big country on this thing. Country is Ethiopia eight years. This big one actually has been separated. Now let's see Ethiopia, which is messing iss Eritrea for many countries transferred an independent country, but they didn't change the past, even on the control of every tree as being mentioned. So that's a big mistake because every trail as an independent country, as if you're as he's Ethiopian and Sudan this big, big, big country. Um, if we have South Sudan and Sudan that two companies. So there's a problem with this passing map and yeah, it's actually a historic map was the nays are wrong on some. Please are wrong, but I didn't find another one Would be future. Find a better one. So actually, my advice is making make your own correct. Well, correct names correct borders Central African Republic, Central African will probably get in the sector. That's easy to remember. And then of this longer country. That's Cameron. Cameron is interesting. It has a lot of jungles, a beautiful nature and a camera this big English and the speak French. And of course, there are languages. They also have. We have a shot. This country here it's also appears like being in the center is chopped. We will not go to the north and you will say something. We have digit. That's a famous one, right? We have Libya, but based can you see these? Fordice are almost straight. They have been drawn with a ruler on the paper map to divide the country's because it says it's there on the people said it's not important which part actually belongs to us. This countries, they are fruitful. They have diamonds, have gold, There are other important goods. So they have foot. Which part balanced which country? This is how this funny shapes came. But they said this only this is we can't even do agriculture. So let's just divide it anyhow. But this low country Tunisia in North Africa, it's the only race. More country. That's right, an interesting country when you're in the nose. Yeah, European climate and European, um nature, European plants. You ask African culture, African landscape on a small time 20 you have native people were left themselves, are blood and have blue eyes. Some are black and have black here, black and truly here and second brown have metal truly brownish here. So so many different people live in this small country and they're all making Tunisian people and they live together peacefully. They lavage other the joke about father and it's not such a big country. I am may his strip from the north to the south. I traveled this country many times and short period of time because I like this country because of its servers. It is so small, so very small. We have a big Hunty. They have a petrol Algeria, they have petrol. And, uh, this country has a lot of that. So this is what would you strike? Board us. But there was a man of famous country. It's also rather small among the north, um, African countries, Morocco, a country with beautiful culture. It's in Africa, African people living there. But some parts of Morocco belong to Spain. Event. They are only African continent. So you see, our world is so diverse. It's really interesting. We're here, apparently which is almost not known. Western Sahara. I didn't We have funny board us. They looked like a stair case this morning. A country which has baby desert are large part of it. It is desert, quite a strategy to deal with it. And then every country, the time a lot of guys of this mommy, the sea. But it's also the first because to see here so different from here we have ***. It's called *** because the river *** is flowing through this country ***, and through this country Nigeria. The river *** flows but through both injuries. And besides, Nigeria is a tiny little country which is called Benny Republic off being another small country here the green one is Togo on a little bit bigger is down Compared to European countries, those countries are really big. But because continent, this subway on the big continent they look small. This is called d'lvoire. Previously they had a lot of defense. But unfortunately people kill the elephant in idea few days for you left overs. So this is called for and there is one missing here. This is work enough So missing. I find it so interesting for Kenya. Faster! It's on top off quality for Ghana, Togo and Benin has so many border They're famous but tiny countries like Syria in that If I was but verse no one is Sierra Leone. They made an effort to make their own puzzle pieces from it. Oh, tumor country Spider name off. Give me you have The purple part is uniquely so and the great park is killing. So we have Maybe so and really And what we have Sydney go as the small dust small, small part within Sinica. That's Gambia. What the famous name but a small country on this big continent no have successful than the continent, Mac. Any time you like, you contact this out off the shelf and do it by herself. That's a fun work to do. 19. Puzzle Map: European Countries: I want introduced to, you know, a material that is fantastic. This is the passing map off Europe, As you can see, um, my size and how big this is. This is so big because we want to take out each and every country on their own with our hands, Each country should be able to be taken out by itself and Europe. That's quite challenging because we have a lot of tiny, tiny countries. This is why did the past map needs to be that big? Um, what is fantastic about it? If you have a country like Russia on, this is only the European part of Russia. This is not all of Russia. This is so big. Have another conduit Chisels of brown. And this is so small. And it's one entire country with their own capital city with their own government, everything so small and big countries and how different that can be chilled learning it without, um yeah, they're learning it. And they're really understanding it because if you haven't had it in your hand, you will never have it in your mind so that the relationship between the size is off the country. The bigger that passing map is and what I'm having here. This is a standard size. All the past maps are the same size. Otherwise, no way to store them, the easier the relationship can be learned. Then you have on the puzzle of just what it's part of Europe. What is not part of Europe is not there. So that's only the European part of Russia. As I mentioned earlier, Um, each country has is their own party piece, and you will see this little tiny naps or handles which served to be able to take the country out. But those, um uh oh, so where the capital city of this country is, so wherever the company city off a country there, the handle will be. This is why, for example, this is Austria. The handle is not in the middle. If you can see that, let me show it to you. The handle is not in the midi because the end is not in the medi. That's thought, but which serves as a hand. It is where the capital city is. In some countries, it's, um, in the middle, are almost unlimited. If you have staying, this is Spain. Uh, cap, Vicky said. This almost in committee and you have here it deliver row. It's almost in the middle, but it's to one side. This is what really is and you have here Great Britain and London is in the South. It's not in the mid Lego good, so that thoughts or handless, which helped me to take it out when using the pencil grass. But for Russia, I'm sure everybody needs two hands on. This is really teaching the kids the sizes. Good. No, this is about all the countries of Europe. Uh, if you're a kindergarten child, let's say 4.5 or five years old, You take all of those countries south and try to put him back back in. If you're good with passes, it might work. But this is not really a puzzle where you need to be really good with passes. This is an education, passes every Children at what to do it that way, and they do it that way. They take all countries out and put them back, and that's fine. Actually, um, if you want to introduce it first, it's nice if you focus on one country or two countries maximum three countries. Uh, maybe countries that have meaning for the Children, because this is where the parents come from. This is where you are right now. Or maybe this is what a vacation was be. Then you choose those and you take up only those. And that will really be a very impressionistic lesson on where our country is located. And what is how it is being located. So let's say from my son point now they look Children, this is Australia, this yellow looking like us like a guitar. This is Austria, he said. This is almost in the middle of Europe. Almost. This is Austria. And then you can do a three period lesson cause I'm not doing all of the countries is a Austria. Can you show me Austria that will shake it? Then what is this Austrian then I'll give it to the child, has a piece, put Austrian back, and now I've taken it out to teach by the child would put it back. I could also let from the beginning be the Charles. The one who is active because of active child is a learning child. So top I know the child has been on their vacation in Italy is as say, this Italy, This is Italy. Can you please take deadly out on the child would not check Where has my finger be? Please take Italy out now. The child would take it out right until you and asking chump once that Italy I might repeat . It's already good. Can you put Italy back? Fine. Onda Uh you know what? There's what country and I know that, uh, you have been there less. We can't. This is Hungary now you see that? This is Hungary. Can you take Hungary out? Another child would take it out. Can you put it back in? And I'm done with three countries and they've now come up with something. But I could ask it chances, eh? Oh, I know you have. You have a case. And in Croatia. And now look at how funny. Gracious This is Gracia. Almost like a pair of tweezers. Um and I can do that just using them up. I can also do something else. I can also ask the charm. Can you find the biggest country and Europe and showered to me? Yes, This is Russia. Russia is the biggest European country. Can you take it out? Piece? And then that Jonah was struggle because it's not isn't. Take it out. Good. Put. Rushing back now. Europe has a lot of small countries on. I wanted to look for one very small country. Try to find one. The extremely small country and extremely small that smallest you can't really say from the map, but try to find the smallest. The one you think is the smallest and most probably the child will come up with Slovenia. But it might be the child will see Montenegro or another country. Uh, that's possible back then. Yeah. Can you? This is I think this is the smallest country for you. This is Slovenia. Can you find another very small country And then the child will come up with this. Oh, are maybe with one of this Get you know what can you show me to countries which are down, down we call itself which are down? Yes, this is Spain. That's you know this is space. And then the other one just was down in the south. Yeah, part off Italy. I was going to stuff on this one. This is Greece. Very good, so I can have different aspect. Look at different aspect off this puzzlement. That's when I'm working with a kid. No, I will show you how the kid can ondo the complete map and work with all the countries of Europe without needing you. And this is like a guarantee. The child is able to really do this by himself. It's off course, not so easy to do it for camera. The Pazzi map will be here, and then the pattern maps come with control charts, and there's one controlled chart that does not have names. It's focusing on the location off countries, so it's important hopes. I'm holding it the wrong site. Uh, this number thing is really not easy. Can you see? That's the map off Europe. And when you have the past, the tendency, the puzzle and then to see the map, so what? This is really teach them how a map org's, what a map looks like, how it's being built up, and you don't need a lot of works. You just need to show them how to work with it. And that is one other control chart, and I call it the cheating chart. because this has all the names off the country's on. All the names are written here, so this is like for cheating so that you will not be mistaken. Which country is which country? Um, if you're not able to read, this might be very good for them to work with a paddle map and the map that has the names but early, if they are already already being able to read without problems, if they're not really a reader's yet, please use the other ones. It's better we focus on the location then and struggling with confusing decoration because worse will be just be confusing. Now, another head I want to give to you. Um, if you are working with in your speaking kids, if you are teaching in endless, you can use this chart. But these starts are not being printed. I don't know why in all the languages they are being printed in English. So what my students did in China, because there is no Chinese chart, even though all the materials of being produced in China. So what they did they used. They bought this map and this map and they were just looking which countries which country ? And then they typed the the types, the names of the countries, a white paper and they just stick did inside the country. So they said it's not possible for us to know all the countries we need cheating char But they made up their own and that would be my advice for you. I feel working in another language, but English used the white charge the play Try. You don't need to buy this one. Just check it from Google. There are so many maps and Google and find the exact correct names for the country's. Whenever you put incorrect names for countries, make sure that you get the latest additions because countries changed their names and it has happened a lot in the past 25 years in Europe. No. So we're going to use No, because I'm teaching an English. We're going to use this and I'm pretending that we're working for it with a kid who knows how to read. And it doesn't matter how old is a chump, because if you have an intelligent for you old you can work with this. No problem. Okay, now I will show you, but, um, yeah, okay, It's hard for the video. So if you have and this is why it's always important, you will start early to work with them onto Sacramento's. Because if the child is not reading the names of the countries, the child is, um, not reading the names of the countries. It doesn't matter. A top just needs to do it. The following And this is how you teached charges You take out one piece look exactly were on the chart. It is, and you put it exactly within the borders. This are the board ist Yeah, on it's easy to start from one corner either from you can start from up or from down from north or from south. Okay, so we start from this side and that the child was not reading is just putting it on the right place on intelligent piece. Put it exactly on the board us? Yes, on that you can take the one that despite aside exactly. And now the Children have to be really exact because there's no afraid. But this is teaching him how the countries are fitting in. Tow it other. Let me do something from down. So you concede better Normally I'll continue like this. I I think you can, and that is the very big one. This is fresh it now it looks you're almost done. But here, in the center of a lot of tiny, tiny, tiny countries, these Kazakhstan is there because you can carried out. But actually it's already part of Asia, so you can take it out playing. Let's start from another side. We had taken this and then I go on until this shark is full and this is empty, and then this will be completely empty. But as you can see, the ocean will remain so there's always like a control of error is the ocean because it's only about countries, and now the child was not. The reader was working with. The empty chart will just put them back. One by one, you take one and you put it back in there space. Take the next, and you just It's like the matching exercises. This is why I want to sort has so many matching exercises that's also matching exercise. But its geography can't not a big West, and you can touch them anyhow. It's important and will be flat. The control of era all the countries are in. It's completely flat again. No, these are missing. Get now. This is a kin. The garden work it's matching, although its geography, its matching and you will find so many matching exercises. Good. Let's go to the child who is reading. They're able to read the names off the country's and they will do the same word. But what? The reading. So they will read. I slammed. I let United Kingdom and you see that now I've started from a different part. It doesn't matter from which parts the child is starting. Four to go Spain. Between Spain and France, there is a tiny country. And already this is not, uh do small toe take separately out descent with Morocco. Monaco, which is also there a separate country. Now this is France. What country? Uh huh. This is becoming too complicated. I want to start from here now. Norway. Oh, yeah. This is so no Norway. And you can talk about how nor we have so many a few Lawrence, How? It's a long and it's bend like a bow. Sweden, Sweden is also really big. Finland is also quite a big country in Europe, sweet and then for a smoke. And I will continue because starting from one side makes it easier to then fits the middle . Because I wasn't what we have here. I've looked Sim work. It's so small that it doesn't have their own piece. And then this ISS bay. Jim, did you miss the race? No. I want to show you how this works because of those small countries benefits in like then this Neverland's They're also quite small. I like I'm having then march. This has a lot off islands and market A lot of islands then drew many Do me a sexual smaller than France Mm. And that a big one is Poland and the Children are in a guessing What is big, what is long, how the borders are then this belongs to Russia. That's an interesting belongs to this country. And I have between you let fear those were interesting shape training and let that yeah, and I'm having is stone you. I believe now, from where teaching in Austria, most people have very little idea about those Nordic countries hasn't yet nordic from our point. He's they were formally part of the Russia as off. So that's a bit union. And now I go on, Go on, go on like this, Panting even the tiny countries being decorations who are done. And I'm not going back. Does this four to go? And this is Spain now another one. I have now done part of Europe on behalf. Then some countries were maybe a little. I'm also sure how getting located. But the center is not done doesn't Mouctar The Children have learned much about the names of those countries? Even the far away I slammed. They haven't focused on this. Doesn't matter. You can't learn everything in one day. So even if they do part, put it back. It's perfectly fun. No business all right before but it's Oh, it's France, This Iceland. Now I'm pretending to be a child who forgot when the look and dips they look at the location at the car, at the location at the color Put it away, I land. Then they put it here. And while they do what they think I have learned. So for next time they have gone. Have a regular in a what Now this is United Kingdom tomb. Never lets do me, then look. No way. Sweden. If they can hold it with the handle, it will be better if they can't because of the shape of the country. It's no problem. Finland having a big one. They see Poland? Yes. Then this is training. Let yeah, Estonia on the puzzle is again ready for my friends. Now the real idea is to do all of the countries and put off the country's back. But in the first around, it's not so important that they really do all of it. I couldn't even tell them for somebody or not so encourage their reckon school. They don't feel like learning time. You do this part and you could use a white board marker so called the party Want them to do with a white board market? Because the white board market you can clean it off. You can wipe it off. Whatever it's laminated, use a whiteboard market. You can wipe it off if it doesn't come off. Use some mess cleaner. What? He used to wash the windows to clean the windows. It will come off two time. You do this part and this part is hard because it has so many tiny countries. But if they have only a small part to do, they will focus, learn something, put it back for their friends and it will work out. So this is Greece and not doing the part that I told you. Please, Albania. This is our Baena. We're a small country too. But I was told this is our beautiful, separate, beautiful country. So now this is covering up because it's so small. Then I'm having. And that a small country, this mustard don't yet listen. Struggling to fits them. That's OK, Bulgaria, it's not so big also was yet what is missing on this map? Iss A Montenegro isn't in the it's a country, but it's not here. But I think this is even Serbia and the days is not really up to date. Um, you need to be careful with those maps. If you fucked, control them before you give the Children and assignment. Change your names if necessary, and you can never news are pains toe pay on those countries which are missing because if you can't buy the real while, you have to find help yourself. So be up. Does that make this map? It says you go slave. It was like it is not existing anymore. It's called Served as many different countries and there's no country. It was lady anymore. Michael maps a still Yugo slavia, so you have to make sure how you can do it. Then your creation really looks like tweezers. Slovenia. A very small one. But you see, it's possible to do evidence moments. It's harder, Brenda. Big once, but it's possible. So let's do hungry. And Austria. So if the Children are in Austria like I am now in Austria, there was no what is going south East Austria, the southeastern part and at a time you give them this part? Yeah, on. They could have started from here on the court started from here. Anyone is fine. So let's put it back. Greece Fulgear Yet so bold area increase our neighbors. If you work with a kid, you draw their attention to that. And as they're doing something, they will remember. This is Macedonia. That's the neighborhoods off Greece. Let him have no being Yeah, so thing is yeah, it will come out. This is Gracia. I put it too much down. So yet wasn't yet hurry Strip and Slovinje enough than it. So I can also choose parts for the kids which day should be doing. I can assure you all those passing maps. I just love them because they will make life very easy for the Children to learn. 20. The Puzzle Map of Austria: we have a year to mess. They know perfectly the same. What? This one, It's just paper. This is just paper. But it looks exactly like this one. And that's the whole purpose of it. Because we are on the Y off teaching our Children about the concept off maps, how to maps work, how, Max work. Um, this is really, really, really important because ah, lot of understanding off the world and what's going on in the world depends on understanding how maps work and being able to understand what the kids see on the map. Now, to my, um, according to my experience in our time and age, it is much more important. Afghanistan, Joe Orphee, the location of countries and provinces, off rivers and mountains much, much more. Then it has ever being four in the world because our world has become like a global village were pleasant, which other than they've ever seen before. But we know less about each other than you have known before, and a lot about a lot of what we know our prejudices. And we believe we know. But actually what we think we know it's wrong. Um, again, we're still working with Ray Small Children. This is something you concerned in a 3 to 6 year old classroom with 3 to 6 year old Children. I believe that you really shoot do that because when you started working with that too late , the Jell 01 feeds to childish too simple, but not having learned it, um, we'll make that they missed out the knowledge that they can acquire one working with this map. Now, what you see here is the country off Austria in Europe. I'm using this one because most of my classes I'm teaching in Australia list. So I have the map off where I am and where my students are. And Austria has nine provinces. It's province. Yes, a capital city on word capital city of that province is the cake in their little lock. The hand which helps me to take out the puzzle piece is on that place on. It's interesting because I'm having free capital cities off three provinces close which other Bergen B'elanna and some are just close to each other. But other stories of very fire distance. Then it's so interesting about the map of Austria that we have the purple is the role, but zero consists of two parts and Southwark isn't a big deal. It's like Kozberg separating Eastern to roll from tomorrow. But that's the same problems. It's one province. Mrs Wife has one color. Then where was the one province that has only one bordering province? And that's Vienna. Vienna is the capital, sick of the whole of Austria and no ostracize all around the and actually this handless one , because the in itself is it's own capital city. And it's not one part of Vienna, which is more important than the others. Now, if you are working in a different country off this world, make sure you get a passing map for that country of the world where you are. I know that seemingly positive marks get exists from Germany. The province's off Australia. The province is in for the state rather off the U. S. So many countries you could buy already make positive maps it for your country. You don't have it. Making yourself are Let somebody make it for you. Make sure each province has their own color. Um, as they had their own color, make sure the capital off the province has the hand. Now how you make it just for your understanding? Because, really, it's like fighting at the Children. Learn property of graffiti. Um, these are. And if you look back, you consider these are two wooden boards you to each other. They are of similar sickness and similar type, and they were just glued to each other. Now the other poor board, you use a saw to cut out each problems and because Dan aboard has the chasm would be duty. You have the support with the parts. Don't fall through. It's on the very big thinking. You have the right pipe off Saw. This is, uh this can make very easily and doesn't afford a lot of money. Now, how to work? Well, this what Children do if they just take out when they start working with us because we want them to be really independent. We don't want them. We don't want that. We will be teaching them, and it will be anything. Duties do that. Johnny, don't go different. Every behave likeness. So what they do is take out one province. Now, if the work alone, they might not talk with themselves. But if you as a teacher there. You will tell them. Take out lower Austria. What? It right here and that will see it's even size equal size of DeCourcy. Oh, yes. Left over. You take out yet? Position it right too. Now there are two ways to do it. Are you concerned from a any side? Um Then where I started was so eagle. Centrist IQ. Um, because I'm living in this promise. This is why I took this out first automatically. If I will be teaching in the kindergarten in my promise, that's the 1st 1 Take that. But it's important the Children know where they are, but we're not starting here. I mentioned earlier. We're starting from the solar system. We're starting from the planet Earth alot us is not the sent off planet Earth. It's one tiny, tiny part which you can ever find on on clip. Yeah, but when we have reached toe dealing with a country, the Children should know where they are. Good. So why we're doing it? I start where you are and do what is around until you work until the end. That's one way of doing it. So it would work like this as I know Astra taken lower Austria out first. Then in the end that because it's inside, then the next would take a bargain that I'm working with kids. I mentioned the names of the provinces on. That's the Children are living in the country. There might hear them. Okay, and now the next one exterior. Take that Syria for the dried over Kristen to get it right now. Which one you like to take, but Austria or currency? Which would you like to take? Okay. You like Apple? Austria? I'd like Apple Oscar to That's where my dad was born. That's where my grandma was born, like US province right now, which one you like? Todo says Bert or correct CIA. We'll exhaust because it Okay, let's take Zansberg out and you see the funny shape of this Southport. That's an interesting shape. Now let's not leave Corinthia. That's also beautiful promise. That's tech runty out, and you don't talk a lot, but a little bit because, as if you work with a kid and then not pretending that I'm working with one kid, I would want to use quality time for some useful valuable conversation on a little bit of information. A little bit of story. I'm not giving child members. Did you hear? I told Tom I like us Province Acosta because my bad on my grandma were born here. Let's take a bus. It's also a beautiful one. So we get small stories. But we don't give numbers because our focus this are the natives off the promises, that shake and location. That's a lot to learn. Now this promise This purple one is called to roll that's picked to rule out and you see past. It goes around. That's a word. All right. Okay, that last one is for a book. For others, it's not a small compared to the others, but it's a beautiful one and have a lot of mountains. Yes. Now this is the shake off Austria. That's the country where we are 11. Looks like a bit like a good target. Physics? Yes. Or violin. You could also call it a violent shape. Okay, but now we have to put the passive parts back. You construct with anyone like you. Okay. Start with lower Austria. Put it right now. You see, if I'm not turning those parts, they're easy to put it But once I start turning them, it's a struggle to find the right way because well, the borders I don't know why they are so strange. So leather to take them straight from one side to the other. Oh, yes. Left over. You want to leave it here? Yeah. Then one would work in that. Right? Okay, now let's take the end. For a city, it's big. But for a province is so small that steer AEA. It's a big province currency. A what was honest work, son? Spurt is right now the purple one. The two part promise that is to roll. What? Promise? What you see Sands forgot in their way. And this one s for Alberich. And that's the passing map off bus trip, not letter. The kids will be able. They would not need the control chart anymore. They just use the positive and they can take the passive parts out like this all around the passage. And it's easy to fall without a carpet. But of course, the kid should be always working on the carpet is just really the carpet is making it so hard for me to film it that I'm taking a positive parts all around the puzzle. Now let's set them right in again. It's easy to start with a cornice. So this is for Albert. Get you have seen. Even though I know how it belongs, Ever know? I know how girls it was still not so easy to put it back when I had just put it to the side . Here we have Bergen land. Let's put it back. Get T Rowe follows for alb. Excellent. 20. Put it in Is quite big having currency A yes, on Syria. I want to do the big Noah Austria and Upper Austria on sell a spurt. And now the capital city off Austria And at the same time an independent province is Yeah, uh and I put it right back. Now, if the Children can do this without using a control chart, then they have mastered eat. When the work on their own, they might not say the names of the province's when you work with and just say that at the leg point of time, you might ask them which province is this? Which province is this? But it s their only nine. It's easy to remember. Um it really doesn't make any sense to let the memorize the names off the province's if they have no idea about their funny shapes about their locations. And precise is that Mitt makes much more sense. Toe. Allow Children to work with a puzzle ever when you're not there to tell them the names of question them about the names. Andre will learn how the country is being built up then, rather than letting them to memorize the next provinces and have no either about their shape and location and how they are intertwined so that waas pass a map off Austria. 21. Puzzle Bodyparts of the Horse & Skeletton : the leave puzzle is part off a Siri's off puzzles where you were, the Children can take out the parts off the animals and plants. And the horse puzzle is part off. A Siri's off pas is where the Children not only learn about the parts that the hind legs on the front legs, but also that are not to meet the inside anatomy of the animal on a want is to show you. So the Children are here going once that further they won't know this is the head off the horse. Then this are what is this? This is the tail off the horse. Then this are the hind legs off the force on the Children should really know the names off those parts. And there are many, many more names, especially the horse. But I think those in older animals and front legs of the horse. Then you have the main. This is the main on. Then you have them body left up. Domon here, the back here. And now let me show you what the Children are seeing. Now they're now seeing the skeleton off the horse, and they can, uh, take it out in pieces. but they're seeing it, and this is get taking them once. The further because a child who sees it for the first time was a very young child, my asking. But once that because the child has been doing the part of the leave puzzle in the flower puzzlement. And what are all those passes? And, uh, this time the child might ask you, but what is this? And they you explain to them very simply at the beginning. These are bones off the horse and we can't see the bones. And but here they are being drawn. And then the child might ask about which bones. Because if the child has started to be sensitive to the different parts, the child might not ask you about the names of the bones. And so if you introduce a passel like this and there was also a serious off puzzles like this, of course, those are just about animals. They are not about, um, plants for short by the child might ask you, and you should know that this is the hules and these are the ribs on. This is the tale, and you should know which are the loins and the heat bones on all of the names of the bones . You should be prepared. So please, if you introduce this posy the Children should be should have done a lot of those simple puzzles as the parts of the leaves. Once before you introduce those ones. Now, this is harder to make. If you wanted to make it by yourself in this case, I would print out something like this. Fortunately, Internet is there to give us all the information and pictures. You could print it out, and then so along this. So along this, or cut along this again, doing this with a knife is much easier if you print this this bones part of skeleton part out from Internet, you should, by all means printed out laminated before you stick it to the board, which is the support at the back. So this can be clean. And that's in fact, that if you work in a kindergartener in the school, you need to be able to disinfected. But then you can do the regular Force One, and you can dio put it back in. So this is the body of the horse, the main off the horse and you see that now I'm using a different sequence, and the sequence actually doesn't matter at the beginning, at your front, back, front, back. But any sequence is fine. The head of the horse. And then you have the legs and the hind legs on the tail, and now we consider full horse again, as I mentioned before, when you white with a Not to me until the Children are in secondary school or middle school , however, is the name off the school in where you are teaching this is too late because they're not to me is a lot about vocabulary, and you should give us much vocabulary as possible to the Children. It at um during their sensitive period for language, which will enable them to be very fast learners later in life. 22. Matching Animals with their Babies, Farm Animals : This is Maxie, moms and Children. Oh, the game is about different farm animals matching the mothers to their babies. Onda. Yeah, Children laugh farm animals and the smaller the are the younger they are, the more they left farm animals. Now we might think what nisi exercise? What an easy game, what other learning? But Children should be aware and conscious of how the friend the babies off a goose have a chicken look like how similar the baby beat the big let resembles his or her mom, but, well, the lamp looks so the friend from his mom, whereas the baby goat is quite similar to his mom, the cough. It's really a small Onda slim version of the cow. The donkey has a bigger head compared to the rest of the body, but still reassembles his mom so much. IHS, that's the young child off the horse, so some animals resemble their months. Some look very different from the month some of similar colors with their moms. And what's the goose on the chicken? Even the color to shape Everything looks so different. Some matchy mother animals, baby animals getting to know form animals much better is a very useful game and should be used especially for young Children. But if every of all the Children who haven't learned it who don't know about it, you should introduce such a game. 23. Matching Animals with their Skeletons: this is not a matching game. Maria Montez Sorry, uh, provides a lot of matching game and is encouraging us to invent and develop more matching games. Important this only that every matching game has one direct education goal. And this game here it's matching life animals with their skeletons. That's very interesting. Activity becomes some skeletons are very different, and some are very similar. Let's look at them. So the first, uh, to piers, you can see here this make on the fish. The skeleton of the snake is kind of funny. It has a lot of ribs. It's so particular and it can be easily matched toe the snake. But still, it's kind of surprising, offset to seeing the skeleton like this. Also the fish. Some Children might eat fish or might used to eat fish, but I've never seen the skeleton just a skeleton like this. And to be aware of the fact that snakes as fish as human beings have skeletons is always an important learning goal. Generally, Children are fascinated by skeletons. When we go to the Natural Science Museum, they're all fascinated by the speak skeletons off the dinosaurs, which those museums exposed but skeletons of other animals are close to never exposed. They're not in exhibitions, but they are in this material on dumbed. Let's look so this Nate the face on the frog. Their skeletons are so special that they can be easily matched. They can be easily recognized. Maybe if the Children see this skeleton just like this, they might come up with recognizing the fish. But the front? Well, I don't know. Let's try now. The next skeletons are interesting. You have to malls with a long and with long legs, and you have to look closely in order to recognize that the EEM, who has only two legs it's a bird and the giraffe has for Lex. It's a mammal, so the skeletons resemble. But they're all so different. So the Children have to look kind of closely to be able to distinguish and correctly matched the skeletons. And then you have three more skeletons. Ah, the bunny, the beaver. On this gunk and the animals, all the three animals are mammals. They are all, um, smaller types of memos. They're all furry animals, but and this is why there's skeletal are not so easy to distinguish when I first saw this skeleton off the skunk. I wasn't able to imagine that this is a skunk. It's only through that control of error, which left me with this character that I knew this waas skunk The beaver can be easily recognized. Wit the big teeth. That's what is making it toe recognized. What we can use to recognize. It's the shape off the legs off the rabbit, which is helping us to recognize the rabbit very well. So the legs off the rabbit are the distinguishing mark, which we can use, but it's a Children are observing the animals closely. They will know if they don't. For example, they haven't had a bunny in their hand. It will be hard for them, the beavers through the big teeth, maybe the long tail, but in the skillet on the tail looks the friend. It's so much narrower than the real tail with the flesh on when the beaver still alive on then the skunk. The tail is so bushy that, um, it's hard to imagine that well, it's a skeleton. It's so small. So this is a really interesting, mature, matching animals and their skeletons very useful for learning and not to me, very useful Andrews for understanding the principles of anatomy. And you can be sure that your Children will love it and they will learn a lot through this game. 24. The Bunny, for very small children: Ma. What you can see here is one very basic material. Um, you might want toe look at it as a material for learning how to read, because every child should be knowing the name of this animal. It's a bunny which has a tell legs, and here it's only four parts of the three piece card said. Very simple. Only four cards to match forwards to match. So for learning how to read, that's perfect, because the Children will most probably no the names off those body parts, um, so learning at the rate. On the other hand, you might want todo included in a project where he learned a lot about animals. And if you are working according to the Montessori method, you have a project about animals. You will need very easy and simple materials, which are fast, done very fast for the impatient and small Children, and you need harder materials for bigger Children. You need materials, fortune who cannot read and chilled, and materials for Children who can read. So if you have a project like about animals, you need to include some very easy and simple materials for, um, let me call it Beginner's Children so they can take part in that project to Andi will see if you work in a mixed classroom. But the all the Children will help the younger Children with this very simple and fast material. And the younger Children will end return. Absi it absurdly all the Children doing the large project, the big works, the materials that take long where they need to read more and so on. But them, as I mentioned, if you say you have the project includes all the Children, don't exclude any of them. 25. Birds & their Beaks-How interesting!: so we're having another very interesting material. We want our Children to Bob to be aware how beautifully God created animals. Each bird has a different type off peak with a different purpose, and that's our material. We are happy, colorful cards. What pictures off the birds off, different birds and their names, their proper needs. There are many, as you can see, I lined them up here, and then we have courts which describe how the different types of peaks look like and what they are for. And I really love this material because I think that's something most of the time we were not a conscious about. We don't pay attention to those details, but how each peak is just the one that tastes bird needs. God doesn't make any mystics. Every peak fits. The purpose feeds the needs of the birds, so let's see how this materials work. I forgot. The peaks have names not only the birds of names, but the beaks have names. So this speech is a spatula with another one, which is a shredder, and we have one that's called tweezers. So the purpose off the purpose of the function of the different beaks if, um in the is in the in the name somehow hidden in the name. So let's see which types of birds we have and which types off, Um, peaks we have. So the 1st 1 I have laid out is the Flamingo. That's the Flamingo Bird and let's look p The peak is long, so we're not looking at the card. We're looking at that picture. It is bent and it's bed. What groups it spent. Why we could wasn't calling it has a curve. It's curved. And uh um, let's see if we can find a peak, which ISS course, and it's curved downwards. Let's see if we have a curved we have a curved and point it feel. No, it's not. Point this. Oh, we have a down curved peak used upside down for separating math and silt from shellfish and all day ace, um, plumbing. Eating what is in the water? Yes, the flamin was eating what's in the water, and then I've been. It's separating the mouth and the silk from the shellfish and the argon. So when something is separating something, we call it Steyer. So the flamingos, it's called a strainer. The faction is a stranger. They we have another bird, a brown one. It's called a curly curly. And this story bird. Uh huh. If you look at the Pete, it's also curved. But it's down. Work, its course downward and it's law and it's sin law and sing curved. You're and sing law six. No, you just like a store with long and slender. Slender is another word for sane. So that law slender Pee off the curly Bert. And what does it do? Lost lead in the Falcon peak for probing the shore life for worms, huh? Looking for once and other, uh, E work breaks that lie buried in the sediment. So he's looking for animals which are in the said he met and he speaks is a pro. Okay, let's move on with this so you can see what we are, what we are doing. I wanted to see that in the picture. Okay, let's look at a very different bird. The Eagle Hiss peak is also like peak worst, or it's Ah, hope. Actually, it's a hook, and the upper part is longer than that. The whole part upper jaw is longer than the down part draw. So the peak of the ego, the upper part is longer than that. The poor on what is an ego eating the egos eating really meet. So we have one. He had tearing flesh law, No strong as strong and short peak with hooped upper jaw. The aperture is going over. The down part is for tearing flesh, and because it's tearing apart, it's called a shredder. Now, yes, the Children find it hard for first time to do this on their own. We have here a hint. That's a control of air, which says the black skimmer has a scoop and so on. The Flamingo, Australia. Her the ego as a shredder. So they have a hint here. The explanation. They have to really fit it by reading, but how the peak is called they confined from this control of aero chart. So let's see, What else do we have? Well, interesting one. We have the blacks Kimber, the black skimmer that down part off the peak is longer than the upper part, and it's very long active, so it's large, it's long and the lower part is longer than up apart. So we said the lower jaw is longer than upper part anti Scooby is that interesting. Is speak is long and narrow, but he's using his down part, the lower part of his P as a scooper. So the black skimmer, he's ah P is it scoop? Because he's using it for scooping. He scoops fish from the water. He scoops the fish from the water. Oh, we have a sweet bird here, the brown gripper on that. This living on the trees and sitting on the stem of the trees So he's peak. ISS speak is very fine. It's also curved, and it's pointed very thing because he wants to eat the insects which are in the park, in the in the bark. So he's a curved and point that Bill Bill is another name for Pete Big or the Bill to say It's one saying about two words, and he's using his a beak or his built like this. And that is he's using it. Asked twisters. That's it. Okay, we have another 10 a beautiful one. I like the cardinal, the cardinal with the blue and red feather blue, red and white feathers. This bird is called cardinal, and he has a peek a big, which is a little bit stout, huh? It's a little bit stout. Um, Andi. He needs his peek toe open seeds. Me, it's is have built up, uh, sees, Uh, because he's open is it's strong. It's short, but it's strong. Opening seat. It's a cracker. He's using toe crack seeds and nuts. Oh, Cardinal Bird. I also like to eat seats and met so that I like to eat mets and seats. Well, let's see, What else do we have? Appellate town. The penny comfort has a very large bill, very hot feet, and he's using underwater for fish is using it underwater under the water. He's using his large bill with a stretchable pouch, so under the underneath it can that can become bigger for holding the fish. That's a transporting the fish holding it, which is catching. So he speak because of this soft part on the need. If serving like Annette Fisher Net, which is carrying the fish, which he caught on this space shot at the species bird as a very funny P on the name of the bird is spoonbill, so hiss a big looks like our spoon, so it's called a spoonbill is the name of the birds, or his name is what he looks like. And it's law and it's left. Let's look for a law flat bill with a tip like a spoon. So when the Children reach this vacancy, OK, that's long. That's flat. That looks like a spoons of the control of error is being able to read this. So this material is really for Children who are able to read, but as soon as they can read fluently, this material is really fun to do. Okay, because it's using it. The way is using it. It's called like it's called a spatula called the Spatula. We have a few more. We have the woodpecker. That's my childhood memories. Who had this, exactly? This type of woodpeckers living in front of our house and looking for worms on the trees in front of our home, actually, at the back of our home, The backyard. Okay, yes, he the one pack or what? This particular for him? He's like, huh? Driller, because it's drilling holes into the um, into the bark off the trees. The wording. What? Becker Waas? There are holes in the barn because what does he want to do? He wants to eat insects, and it's like a chisel or a driller chisel. That's this type of peak. We have three more. Three more. We have you ready The Mallard and the hummingbird. Let's see that here in has a long, quite sick bill. No and sick feel it's law. Yes, especially compared to the others. They the The Mallard has a flak see flag bill. It's a flat bill. Ever have Children didn't recognize that this was like a seat. It's flat, so that's clear, is flat. And then a hummingbird is so special because he's Sochi, the nectar from trees. Like with a straw. Yeah, so because the matter dis using hiss a bill for C it's also called a strainer, like the Flamingo. The same type of usage to say, tired of being ever know, looks the front, the hero, his bill. If he's stopping. Actually, the fish so Hiss Peak is a spear, but the hummingbird speak s, uh, tip. No. Isn't that interesting how the birds bills I used in different ways. They eat the friend food each bird, it's the French food and in orderto eat it properly Each bird needs a different type off be our bill because of the difference of food and is using the bill in different ways. Some years. It's like a seed looking for the wa, seeping out the food from the water. Other stop their food like the hero. Others can carry the food in their peaks than the hummingbird soaking their food. It's really, really interesting. Now. I'm sure you would not have known all these details, but our Children are interested in animals. Birds can be heard when just you go to nature anywhere. So it's really interesting to get to know all these details on the mind of the terminus open. They want to get to know the world so allowed him to get to know the world by giving them interesting materials as a method. Using this cards material if they have short, very short text to read. If you look at this, if the the printing is quite big, it's quite big. So the these only read short passages. Focus passages, one material, one learning. Also, they learn here about bills, different birds, different bills if they because those passages are so short to read, that's encouraging Evan Children who find it tiresome to read. Maybe they're not coming from families where reading is something usual. They're not growing up with books, But this is encouraging every child to read. And because it's not much because it's a cards they only need to read one part after the other. All the Children are able to do it. No, if they are doing this in the classroom, this is one material and one basket or one box one box with three compartments. You need one compartment for the cards for death birds with their nets. One compartment for the description of the bills. One compartment for the name off the type off peaks. It would be nice if you could have the control of ERA somewhere, so that could be somewhere in the box. Um, if they won't decide to do it by Tuesday with three Adam Sue read and discussed on this way , even help them further because Children, when they're six and the bus, uh, learning in the group is helping them a lot. That's the big difference when they are below six. Learning alone is helping them more above six Learning and the group is helping the more for all the Children. So be encouraged gave materials which give really end up scientific knowledge on what? Giving them small, Small, small details like this the Children will remember it did will be in their brains because they're doing something. They're active and later I think they want to get more. They will get more and more and the knowledge will expand. So be encouraged. Used this type of materials looking at details off how God made a bird so wonderful and so the friend in so many species and so interesting. 26. Getting to know Birds by their Melodies : it is really cool if Children get to know the world around them with their eyes being able to recognize different trees, flowers, herbs, mushrooms, chicken and the other animals and plants by sight, being able to distinguish and to name them. But a lot of nature and what makes nature so pleasant is very often invisible. We appreciate the beauty off it with our ears only, and I find it a little hard to teach kids the sounds off nature. If I'm not having material which can isolates that difficulty and teach them one by one, let me show you what I mean. Have you recognized the bird that was singing that missing again? This bird, his yellow and black? It's found in our gardens. It's a very common bird. It's called Look, black it off course. My mother is a little bit bit, but this is the sound of the Great state, and so you can use the three period lesson toe First, teach the Children to detect as toe Remember the melody or the voice off the bird being able to name it. It's important you need one by one, one by one. Let me let us listen to another one. A very beautiful singing bird. I'm sure you know this bird because this bird is so famous for his beautiful sound. The melodies so rich. Yes, you're right. It's the nightingale, famous for its beautiful melody. But the bird is just brownish, not really beautiful, not well visible. And the trees. But temerity is so unique. Let's try another one. This is a colorful one. I'm giving you hints. Thank you. It's the blue tit. This is seen so often in the gardens, and it's easy to recognize for the kids because of the blue color. So the right it at the Blue Tits can be easily distinguished by the kids because of their unique color. Black and yellow, aunt, blue and yellow. They are family and in winter day, look for foods together their family. But there sounds also the friend. Let's listen again. That's that great sit. And that's the blue tit, Um, these models that look more or less like the birds and that make the sound of the bird in a very natural way. The's models make it easy toe, isolate the difficulty, and as the blue and the great tit are so common in our gardens and parks. Um, the Children, for sure, have seen them, so it's good to start with what they already know off course, teaching them the sounds. They should first know the name and how the birds look like. So you started with working with a three piece cart set. Teach the Children that different birds, which a common in in a certain environment that say our forests off guard this apart. And when they know the names, when they know how the birds look like the next step is teaching them their sound. And if they don't know how the birds look like in nature and how their names are, there is no point in one thing to teach the kids the sound off the birds. It doesn't make any sense of it all, and it will not be helpful. And this is a mystic assess, often been made. Don't make it. You can also use to, um, berths who sounds a very different. Of course. Blue tit and great did have different sounds, but these two nightingale and polluted those are very different. You see that the Nightingale, the song is much richer, even though the Blue Tit also has a melody. Let's listen to the Gold Finch. Very rich melody, too. So it's rewarding to teach the kids the sounds off the bird, which they already know and when you want then to be able to distinguish the different bird sounds you take two birds. Would you have been practicing? Whether kids asked, The front s possible. Now I think the greatest it on the nightingale at a most different ones. These are really different after the Children have no the sound to say 11 you hide them. This is why I have my blanket here and you let one word sound how the kids by um explaining the difference in the melody. Let's say here the melody is very rich does up and there is down. It's a long melody. What's the bird that is, shall that is singing along Rich melody? Yes, it's the nightingale. Okay, let's try again. This is a very uniforms song. It's the same malady repeating all over again, and it's a very short one. Listen to it again. This is that great teat. This is the greatest. It very only for Melody. So you have seen how work with two very different birds explain how they are now. That was the first trialling off, letting the turning distinguished. I tell them, Let's try it again. Let's try it again. Listen, which bird is that? The rich melody or the uniforms and short melody? Yes, it's singing for a while, but it stood to do you to. Yes, that's the great tit. Okay, now you guess again, Right? It's the greatest it can. You see what I'm doing? I'm having only two birds with very different melodies on. Once they get a hint how to distinguish them, I repeat with one bird over and over again until they get used to distinguishing, to hearing, being confident enough to say yes, that's the great state. And then I do it over and over again. Listen again. 20. This, Yes, that's not the Greg stick. You are right. So which is the name of the other bird? Right? It's the nightingale. It's the nightingale. It's joint of yet clear, right? That's the nightingale. Guess again. That's the great stick right now. After they know these two, I will take them to the side, introduce our that too. The let it. It's as if yes, it is a little bit soft. And now the European gold fit. He has a bigger voice. Okay, I will hide that. You guess we have now. The blue did as the European Gold Beach, but that's a beautiful melody. Breath. It's the European goldfinch. Let's try again. That was the world finch blue did. Our European goldfinch makes much softer. Yes, right, it's the blue tit. It's a blue tit. Let's try again. What's that? Yes, it waas the European goldfinch. So, as you see, I'm working with only two birds at a time until they are really confident in distinguishing the to. I will take 1/3 1 like these three. My nightingale blue debt. Now I have reminded the Children off the names and off the sounds. I hides the three and they let them distinguish the three. Then, after they able to distinguish all the three, I will let them distinguish four again revive, repeating the sounds and the melodies and the names. Um, you do know do not needs toe work our in a day. Just remember, most people are not even able to distinguish any bird. Maybe just a cuckoo, so it's good. Do it with two next say and let it to next day three next day, another three next day four and so on on. You will see that if you teach the Children in this manner, just, let's say up to 10 birds there would be become very much aware off the different sounds. Melodies hide the length of the melodies and form, and there will be interested when the walk through a park through a forest, when they are in the garden, when you open the window to listen to the various bird melodies. If you do not take the time to teach the kids the melodies off the birds to distinguish them to be aware off them to lessen to them it will be a sound will not be special. They might. So it's beautiful, but it wouldn't have so much compartments than when they know which perp is shot is singing . It's always the more you get connected, the more it gays importance, the less you are connected, the less importance so it's so important to make the Children aware off what surrounds them in orderto kill me, their interest for what So Ron Johnston? Yes, and just introducing you to material. Those are fluffy birds. There are a little bigger than the real birds I would have loved if they had the real bird size. Unfortunately, they don't. They are bigger and you squeeze them like this, and then they make the sound. Um, I preferred is material much, much, much, much, uh, to what we used before. CDs. Because the cities had 50 60 birds on that was just too much and too overwhelming to find the picture of the bird together with the city wasn't easy. So I really prefer, um this material. I think it's so interesting because you can chest up, have a basket as a bird nest and lets the birds sit in that bus. Care the bird nous and the Children can take them out any time. Squeeze Dems on, listen to them. And if they have the possibility tech the mouth turned them around, look at them. They will find out That's the black off. The great state is going through and through the stomach that the beauty tests just a little bit of grain mark here they will find that the France's off the birds, and they will find pleasure in listening to the sounds. And even though this is a wreck part, it sound. It's a real bird sound recorded on the microchip inside. But having the possibility to toe isolated is what we can do the interest and what will make them so much over off that and will happen to treasure and value the nature that surrounds them. 27. Life Cycle of the Praying Mantis: What you can see here is something you might overlook when working on animals with your Children. But small Children, young Children. They're interested in every type of animal, isn't it? And the praying Mantis and how it develops. Or she develops whatever from the end result and more the praying Mantis, the soft egg case, the heart eggs case. Would you still an egg case and then the names before it becomes a praying Mantis again? This is a three piece carts. It very simple, which shows the different stages of development off the life cycle. Off the praying Mantis West is important. The small animals in nature played the biggest role in controlling or helping to control a balance environment. Balanced life, psychos, balanced cycles in nature. This is why these animals shouldn't be overlooked. But when Children grow up, they're not any more interested in the small, small creatures. Unless we have killed the their interest. When there was still young 28. Life Cycle of a Sea Turtle: This is another very simple material about the life cycle of an animal. This is a really sweet animal. I really like them. They are so cute. And there are many ways to lay out this material or prepare it for the kids I've decided today to do like not a circle but development in a row. So in the first picture, we see the adult sea turtle, and this sea turtle is returning to the beach to nest, um, to the beach where she, uh she wanted to nest. The sea is getting out of the sea and lays a number off eggs into a small holes. One scene turtle lays a large number of eggs intra hole, and it's interesting. They dig their own holes with their legs. Then they leave that place. The son is the one breeding on the eggs. And then look at that you creature. The eggs is hatching and a tiny baby sea turtle sea slowly comes out of the Excel. Isn't it cute? I like them. They're so cute. When the final fantasy Truthful was able to get up out of the egg entirely. Look at the baby. It's normally waiting until it's night time. You see how good at this? She's black like the night. So those tiny letters sea turtles wait for the night to come before they are making the way into the ocean. We go into the ocean where it's their environment, natural environment. Where they live, they grow up until they become big a load securities. And then they swim back the word they have Hutch and they lay many eggs into the sand, which is being bred by the sun kind of Lyndon Sitrick. Babies come out of those eggs after a while, and when they are entirely hearts, the baby sea turtles return into the sea on inside. See the grow up to become adult sea turtles. Now, as you have seen, I could have continued this row for some time. I could have laid it out in the circle Tooth? What? We want to teach the Children how life is like a circle. What do you want to teach the Children? That the how God made those animals. How does the adult see total? No, Were she has bean inside the ec where she has hatched. How does she know? A suspicious in turning that same beach because that's the best beach where the eggs could be bread on his in the sand and so on. And it's interesting that from thes 30 little eggs, since the little dirt has come out who developed or which developed into this adult thirties. So it's really interesting. It's something killed. It's something nice, very easy and especially easy. Children don't have to memorize from a book, but if they can be apt active in laying out such materials, make sure you have a number off life cycles for Children to understand the general principle, but also the differences from animal to animal. 29. Meamorphosis of the Monarch Butterfly : another three piece cart set, which is teaching the kids about one very important concept in nature. The Metamor forces often animal. In this case, it's the monarch butterfly. So the Children are getting to know all the real names for not only the butterfly. We name the butterfly, we say Monarch butterfly and then the egg. It's just egg caterpillar. And if you wanted to name it, it's a monarch butterfly, caterpillar and the Cries Elise and the Metamorphosis. So the whole process is the metamorphosis. So the Children are getting to know how the egg develops into a butterfly into a caterpillar. Sorry and a caterpillar in tow, a chrysalis and the chrysalis and a monarch butterfly. It will be really important that in working with Children right from kindergarten age, they get to know as many metaphor metamorphosis off different different animals as possible in orderto understand how they are developing. This will give them a sense off the miracles of nature, because who could guess that from such a small and tiny yellow egg? Such a beautiful butterfly could develop? Who could guess that from a green caterpillar as yellow and black butterfly could come? It's also giving them a sense of understanding that each stage has its importance and that a butterfly has to go through all the stages in order to become a butterfly. It will help them to understand other processes in life, too. So when they understand the metamorphosis off the butterfly, it will help them to understand other developments, what it be history, whether it be geography or even there are life so different. Different ways off life cycles off different animals and different plants will be very important to teach the Children. 30. Human Anatomy real and easy : something we can easily teach the Children and something that has violated for haul the whole life off the Children is to teach them about the human physiology. And I'm not to me before teaching them about the physiology, just like in any medical school, they learn about the anatomy because how can you learn how your body functions if you don't know what is in your body, how your body is being built up? And so it is just logic. If you want a child to learn about how his body works and what the body needs in orderto ba healthy, what is beneficial for the body on what is destroying the body or harming the body? You first need to teach them about the purity of the body. Are there often is being believed that this is something so hard and so obstruct and hard to understand. But that all depends, like for any other subject. Off learning depends on the method. As a rule for Montessori, education is make it as concrete as possible, as natural as possible, as real as possible for teaching a not to make to the kids having, um, such anatomy models. If the best and the easiest to use. If you see my hands the size of this and not to me model is quite big and these can be bought online. They're not really expensive, especially compared toe the wooden Montessori materials on such models can be bought for the brain, the eye, the ear and nobody body organs the heart. So one by one body organs or as you have here, the course is the human tourists. And I think this is a nice one to start with because it contains so much. And it's like a puzzle, like so this to you how this is working. I will not just show you how to take it out. You could take it out. So you have one land and if this be, of course there's something so it will hold when you put it back. But the Children can really see, learn and see the shape and all the different parts of it. And now that we have removed one night, the heart becomes visible. And then the main bacteria. How big is it? That is how important it is. Now we've taken two parts of the land out and they're still part of the land. So now what we see is the inside off the lung, and I find it so fascinating. So from the neck down, I don't think this is visible. Let me know him down from the next time you see those important blood vessels, the Venus and Bacterias are being shown, and they can be really touched. If I packed it with my finger, I can really feel it. And it's so realistic and kiss a small child or small Children can learn, and they will find it fascinating because it's their body. And explain to that your body is like us, your mom's bodies like this and so on so you can take the heart out and we talk off the heart and the Children from a very early age. They're able to draw the heart, Um, but to see how the rial heart inside their body looks like it's so fascinating and you teach them about import. The heart is that it cannot stop beating over in one minute, and nobody knows why it's beating and why it can stop beating. And now the heart can be taken apart, too, and the chambers off the heart in the different oops, partitions off the heart become visible, and that's really important for a change. Understand help, complexes, that organ that keeps them alive. And then you put it back together and they can have the heart in their hands again. As I was saying, I wasn't so careful. So the Inter Stein fell out. Unfortunately, several organs are being put together, the large inter sign and the small intestine. But it's also interesting because that's the biggest Oregon is Thea under sign? So we should really take care of it and understand how importance that for our life on what we can do toe take good care off our intestine, another very large for gun on important organist deliver, and this has more or less know inside. Of course, it has parts to it. And from this really anatomy models, I like to use them really more than any toy things because they look really and the show how really looks like, um, of course, the texture is not there. But that's good, because the my picture was scared off blood or scared of the wobbly structure off the labor . And like this, they contract it and really understand the shake, but without being it being disgusting. Let's not forget we're working with small Children here, and we don't want him to be scared. We want to kindle their interests off, taking the human body apart and see all the different organs that are to it. Now for this model, there's not much more I can take out. But as you can see all the other organs, like the two kidneys and the annas and in the bladder, they're all clearly see that clearly shaped, um, the structure, Sinuses and the ligaments, the Sinuses and all those inside things. They're all visible here. So, um, even those things which cannot be taken out can be explained. So this anatomy model is fit for introducing the Children, so their body organs. It's very useful to do this with a three period lesson teaching. This is one part of the land. You teach them the names using the three period. Listen on. You will see that having this very a clear model, it will take no time, and they will be able to understand. I name all the organs. Um, it's a bit and then put them back. Of course, the Children should be talks to put them back in and to take them out, whip him back in and take the moat. And then they can also see the inside of the bacteria and the V's, the slat inside and to put them back in and how all those things are connected. So it's actually really simple. The only things you need to do is preparing myself before you introduces on the classroom. Make sure that you are very much aware and sure you will be able to name the kidneys and know each organ. What is it? What is it? How is it name? What's the name? Where is it? What is what? But there are a lot of charts online, what you can find, and it's easy to learn for you. Take it out, put it back in several times before you introduce it in the classroom and just have fun with it. Um, Later, other models, as I mentioned before, coupe, introduced lack of the brain that the eye of the ear always bear in mind. This is so important for kids to understand how the body is being built up so there will be a weird off their bodies, and it's ever defaced a pain. They will be able to say, Where is the pain? What is their pain and not to stay having whatever hard pain when maybe excellent would be very much aware off the bodies when they know. Sorry. You see, that's what When they have seen how it looks like when I have seen the position off the different body parts, they will be interested to keep him clean, to keep them well and to care for them. If I have not seen them. If they're not not experiencing them, you tell them, Breathe fresh air. It's so important for your health. The Children don't know for your healthy lungs. They don't know what the lens, so it remains obstruct. But give them something like this that becomes concrete, and they will care for it because it becomes something they know. When I told her a breathe fresh air, it's important for your last. They know all the legs are such big body parts. I take a large portion, so if I just breathe fresh air, it will make my large like parts of my body will or you tell them you need to eat a lot of fiber to keep her in the signs. Uh, please, because the the fiber service as brush for your intestines, they Oh, my interesting are so big. I need to eat a lot of fiber on it because clear why and what So there is no physiology lesson without Previously are not to be lessons. Have fun with this, introduced as Manny models as possible, and use other messages to to make your Children so much aware. Make it easy, make it fun on. They should know all the organs by hard and where they are located in the bus. 31. Our digestive System: on this mat, we have a three piece card set off the digestive system as it is one of the important things to teach the kids healthy habits, a healthy lifestyle. We need to first teach them how the body is working. But we cannot teach them how the body is working if they do not have the words for how it is working. Now, this three piece Kurtzer as a big worked. When you do it all, you see how many courts How many parts does our digestive system have? I'm sure most adults do not know all the different parts off their digestive system. Now, how would we be motivated to take a year off our body if we do not even know how it looks like from within how many parts it has and for how many parts we have to take here. If starting with such a work and put really, very important, you don't give all the quite so the kids don't give them any wrong or only more or less right carts, we just sort out some important organs. First, let them know the names, and then you gradually increase the number off carts which they have to do again. It's a three piece concept. As you can see very clearly, we always have, like in all the three piece card sets, we have one card that has the name off the organ, and we have in red marked the organs. So the organ, which is named, is being colored in red. We have one card which has only the picture. Exactly the same picture with the organ and the Children have to match. But as you can see, especially in the upper part off our digestive system, the Children really need to look very closely. Very precisely. Look, the difference between this and this this is the suckling well blend by. The one I'm having in my hand is also gland. But this is the sub maxillary glance or thes artem axis of maxillary glands. So the Children really have to know to look very tightly in order to match the carts. They're often people underestimate the power at the educational value off the three piece card sense, but especially this three piece card sets for the digestive system makes it very clear once the Children know how to work with a three piece carts. They can be given harder and harder sets off carts with more and more parts which they need to match. And they need to look more and more closely in order to distinguish what is on the card on what is the word for the cart Now, As I mentioned, when you first start to work with this precise set, you third with some obvious courts and some easy words, you could choose off all those many, many ones you might want to choose 10 obvious ones like the tongue. You might want to choose the stomach. That's another very obvious one. Easy to see. You might want to choose the lever. Well, the lever is big and red, like the stomach, but it's on the other side. So already for these big organs, they have to look closely and exactly and precisely. You might want to choose some important one. The rectum. This is one of the organs. It's so important to give the Children real name because very often they're ashamed because we're teaching them some funny names which are not really biological names. And then they feel ashamed to talk about their body because it don't have the good words for it. Now, if you look at the column, the different parts of the color you see the art findable. Let me call it like this so you might want to choose from here. Some famous organs like the appendix is so hard to see because it's so tiny. It's so time you were. If it where is the appendix? It is this small part, so that might not be the 1st 1 you choose. Or you might put it among other easier ones. So they have one heart one, and then they already learned that it's so difficult to see. So when you give them more and more cards and more and more harder cards, they will know they have to look tightly. Um, what Children become aware of how many parts are in that body? It's part having their own name. They will become aware that this system is so delicate. Um, when people start to study medicine, it's giving them a hard time to memorize all these different parts. TRAVERS COLUMN Descending column ascending call and to memorize where they are located. But actually every child should learn how his body is working and how his body is being built up. We cannot expect Children to make healthy choices in their life concerning the lifestyle, their food when they don't know anything about their bodies. Many sicknesses also are easy to hell. If the Children know how their bodies are working later in life, there will be able to hear some party seizes with simple but effective natural methods. Now you see, especially the color one is up all across. One is on the right side, going down. One is on the left side, going up. That's not hard. A child can learn it, and I can guarantee you the Children love working with this carts because if you give this type of cards to Children, they will know that you're taking them serious, that you trust them, that you think and believe and trust that they're intelligent enough to learn all that. Um so it's not only about learning the body parts in this case, it's not only learning about the digestive system, it's also about giving them the feeling and the trust that they can learn that they are intelligent and as working with those things is not an exam it's game. They find it fun. They want observe the one to look tightly. It's like a readily so it's like a game again. It's giving them joy. It's giving them enjoyment. Some Children will be able to memorize all the parts in no time. Some Children will more remember where the parts are located on. Some Children will need to look again and again and again because it's so hard for them to really remember the names. It's hard for them to remember the location, all this heart for them because you have Children who are fast learners. You have Children who are slowly illness, but every child will learn more. Then they would ever learn with a different method. When you use this pipe off Kurtz, trust them. It's useful. It's helpful for the rest off their lives. And one more thing about importance for the life off the Children. Later in life, when there will be older, they will go to the doctor and the doctor will write some diagnosis. When you trust them with learning those words and the body functions, the Children will be able to understand what the doctors telling them and what the doctors writing in his diagnosis so they can be informed patients knowing what's going on and making choices, trusting the doctor or asking the questions they need to ask the doctor. Um, the digestive system. So this speaks set of Kurtz would be also fit when you start working with the story off James Cook and Scurvy. This is also about digestion until sick choices. So it fits into the concept when you start working with cosmic tales, which are talking about health and taking care off your own body. So you see all the materials in the Montessori classroom are connected. Which other? You could make it easy by taking out 10 cards and giving only 10 cards. So the kids, you can make it hard by giving them the full set. If you have many Children, you could have one complete set and one chosen set, so one easy one hard one that's also possible in this case. I would advise you that the easier set, uh, tried toe make the cards a little bit bigger and the writing a little bit bigger, so the kid Children can distinguish and they will know it's to materials, and they will not mix it up. So have fun would teaching the body functions and all the names off the Not to me, off the digestive system to your kids. 32. Systematic Chart of Musical Instruments: Be careful with Materials you buy, there might be errors!: this, um, systematic display off different kinds of musical instruments show some important Montessori principles which apply for all the cosmic education that we want to teach the Children. We want to help them to organize their mind toe, give them an overview over the knowledge so that when later they learned details that they can match the details with the overview. The details can be built in ah, whole picture. So these materialists trying to give a whole picture of instruments. But even this effort to make a whole picture as a picture which have a lot of holes and that's not the complete one. I bought this matter. I didn't make it myself. And even though it shows some systematic approach, the person who wrote the information and toe organized Ah, that material must not have have been somebody who studied anything about music because this material is full of mistakes and this is sold. Another thing I want to tell you when you use brief replicated materials materials not make made by yourself. You have two very fight all the information before you use the material. No, this material is a mixture off classical instruments as you find them in the orchestra. But the orchestra instruments are not complete in this material, so it's a material. It's introducing some instruments off the Sim phone Symphonic Orchestra, but not all. That's one feeble point. The next point. This, the's organization Off Instruments, is mixing a traditional instruments as they're being used in folk music with electric modern instruments as they're being used in modern days for modern music and symphonic instruments, as well as ethnic instruments, which are used in certain parts of the world but certain ethnic groups and this mixture somehow doesn't work out. If it waas complete, that means, um, having more variety. Then it would be okay, but we're just taking one at two samples and mixing them up. It's not OK, then. Also, the information displayed is wrong. Let me show you what I mean. You have two shades of yellow. That's a nice idea for different rhythmic instruments and stay distinguish instruments, which can be tubed, which can play a certain pitch and Abbas, which can't. But unfortunately, I have to tell you that this is very wrong. Uh, sorting. Why? Because if we look at the instruments which are sit that they can't be that they're not playing certain pitch pitches. That's so wrong because at the symbols and the triangle and the drum as well as the double all the drums, actually, which are here, they can be tuned and they come with specific pictures and people play those instruments in orchestras or bands. They tuned them or they use the ones that have the right pitch for the music they're going to play. So this information here is dangerous because it's completely wrong. And if ever Children would be play such instruments and by the time they're able to do such an organized work, they would have learned or they would have started to use this instrument. This is a very dangerous this ASM thing to give a very wrong information. Then also, certain names are wrong. We have here the name silent phone, but what we see is a metal of fun because exile A for it's made of food, asylum means would then the metal for is this one and then you to have a baby toy instead of real musical instrument. I really cannot understand what the baby toy has to do in the in on order off really instruments, so it some names are simply wrong, and some pictures are wrong because the name doesn't fit the picture. Okay, it's a toy, but it's not an instrument. So that's just what I wanted to say. Um, this one is right, but actually, I did it wrong. Why? It says instruments that half keyboards instrument would have keyboards now off course. And Oregon truth organ has a keyboard, but it's so confusing because here it shows the pipes. That's not the keyboard. So how are the Children know if they have not climbed up and in a church to see the keyboard off the organ? Of course, this has a keyboard. Um, the chamberlain has keyboard. The piano has a keyboard. But what? The keyboard also has a keyboard and should be with a keyboard, instruments with instruments that have keyboards as well as the synthesize that clearly shows a keyboard. So it should be on the other side. Doesn't make sense to put it early in, um, the row with the electrical instruments And there was some Morero. So the idea off this material, it's wonderful, actually, this is why I laid it out for you. I'm encouraging you to make your own categorization off instruments Onda. It's easy to make it actually, but it must be done correctly. As you can see, some instruments are missing from the classical. They're simply missing. And the the explanations also sometimes are not really complete. So the idea is wonderful. Let me show you the main idea in the middle, it says musical instruments. Then we have here the blue Let me show the blue wind instruments. We have rhythmic instruments and drums on. Then these are the strings and the peak wants Are the strings well, in a list strings String instruments is also the violin and so on. But in German with distinct sting a string instruments and the ones which have played with hand and the ones which are being played with a bow. Um, this is why there are two. I don't know whether you want him to do it like this. Then we have here. Yeah, wind instruments we have when instruments made from meto and wind instruments made from wood wooden. And, uh, here we have Elektronik instruments. Andi with instruments using keyboards. So the idea is quite good, but the the information is wrong and the sorting is room. But what is interesting in this, um in this charts that when you turn around each and every Kurt has picture on one side and information on the other. So the here on the there's an explanation. What is a wood? What is a wind instrument? What is Ah, a string instrument or, for example, you have here the trombone turn around. You have information on eat, you have the trump pet Turn it round. You have information on it so it could be laid out with information or with pictures. So actually, the's chart equals a whole book. If you want to use something like this, make your own make it into a star, come up with distinguishing. And actually I would make several ones that make the symphonic orquesta one I would make. So you have the different groups which playing the symphonic orchestra, you could make another one s Nick and instruments and you could make another charged with old instruments, old European instruments like the oud and others. So this could be mayor. Several charts like this could be made, and it's so easy to make it on, the Children will have fun. They will get a really overview, and it's so easy to learn the music theory like this. 33. Floor Circles can be used for project learning in class: This is a reminder on how to use the a floor, sir, Course in for cosmic education. This is a floor circle project you can see that was not perfectly designed on the computer . It was cut out from paper. So the different topics were cut out from paper glued onto the different, um, pieces off the circle and the information was hand written. Now I wasn't prepared it for my myself in this way. So me as a teacher, I need to provide perfect material which looks perfect and fees perfect. And hundreds of material is not anymore at all up a possibility. 2020. You cannot handwrite your material on you mature. But if you make it a project, work for your Children in class. This is a perfect project. Work. So how to do this? You prepare a pattern for this. This this and this. So 1234 pattern. You prepared these patterns from the heart carport. The Children They use the hard cardboard to draw the shape the shapes off this the pieces which state e on the color paper which they're going to use toe, create the topics and then the trace around the heart cardboard. They get the shape and they carried out. That's how I did this. And it's really, really, really important that you let the Children do as much as possible. If you're working with school kits, they should be active. You should be passive your active at home rip hearing. Then you prepare some information about the topic. What you want them to learn? Um, this information could be in books. This information could be on carts. These information could be printed out so they should read something. But you might also want them to remember what you have told them. So Possibility Number one, You tell the Children about here. The topic. Waas Philippines him. Let's say you tell them something about the Philippines. You tell them a story, maybe a cosmic story about the child or a family in the Philippines. And, um, and these story or the information your tongue, Then they should remember, And from that they write it or you provide written information with the which they should read and choose what they want to be with in there. Okay, if possibility number one, you make one floor circle for one topic with your whole class. Now, if you have, let's say a few Children in your plus one child would do this once. All this want off this So one color is then by one child. Then you need 1234567 Children on. It will be fine. You might want to have two Children work on one toppy. That's also fine. They can work together. They are three pieces. You can see 123 pieces for each toppy. Two Children can work on that. That's fine. You can have small groups off four or five Children work on Ah, full circle. That was a possible now the less that tell them have to do that easy at ease. So the younger Children, maybe who are doing this? So if you're working in prime, if you're in private school, you wouldn't want tohave one that Children working on one color at this one topic. If you are in secondary school, then you could have group off Children. 34 Children work on a full circle. What I have done. I have printed out pictures have the money of traditional dresses, traditional foods markets, Will Kahlo mountains. Um your markets. Nature. Let's say you want to do such floor circles for one country. You on the Children to get familiar with one country. What are you going to do? You, um you think what ISS particular for the country? What makes the country special? Is it the wild life, the animals which live there, So provide some information about wildlife nature about the animals Provide pictures off those animals which the Children may cut out and glue, Uh, and copy some information. If the mountains make the country particular one month and several mountains ranges of mountain ranges, then you provide information about the mountains. Pictures off the mountains on the Children will can make mountains markets, traditional dresses, rivers, legs. Um, don't you have food, musical instruments, landmarks, that is famous buildings, special buildings or how traditional buildings are being built. So think of what this particular for the country's sorted in tow topics like what I mentioned just now and let the Children work on this, you can be sure they will really know something about the country here. My students chose to put people in the middle and to say hi in the language. The best choice, I believe for the middle would be tohave the location off the country on the map. So have a like a white blind map. And were countries located red spot us where that country is. So the Children will also know where is that country? What would be great to have the background off the circle in the color off the continent on which this country is being found? So this is the Philippines. The Philippines are in Asia. So the background of all the so called should be yellow, so the Children will always be reminded that it is in Asia. You might also want to use Asia as with the yellow Asia as a frame so that each piece, whether it's a here, orange, green or whatever college has yes, the background and a small friend around, like in this three piece, quite a of small frame around in yellow to reminder that this is in Asia as um, as I said, this can be used from primary one to secondary school, making the Children familiar with different countries of the world, and this is a great way to teach geography culture. But it could be history. The topic of the so called could be the Middle Ages. And then you could have monasteries. Nights for must aristocrats, a different social classes. You could have buildings, food, professions. So each color would then be one topping off about the Middle Ages, something you want the Children to learn. And remember again, you provide pictures and information which they can use, and they will never, ever forget what you wanted them to learn about the Middle Ages. You might also want to use this for biology so you could use it. For example, um, Mama's off the seven continents so you could have seven colors off seven continents. Maybe Asian mammals like the panda beer. It's only China. The kangaroo. Oh, it's not Asian, but the tiger is only in Asia. For example, our range for North America animals which live only there mammals off the world could be another topic. But you could also use it to sort things different types off animals sort them into the groups into which they belong. So you see, um, having this floor circles is great for Children. Toe. Place them again and again and do them again and again. and they will. We might be reminded of what they have to learn, but they can be used as a pattern for project work because of the Children have been working with Disclose, of course, say, today we are doing our own floor circle on. This will be just so great for them. So used the idea off the floor so cause toe let the Children work under own projects a class. 34. Jahreskreis mit Erklärungen: Here you can see activities with the seasonal, so-called, the seasoned, so-called is fit. If you're working in an area of this world where you have four seasons, spring, summer, autumn, and winter. If you live in, let's say in a tropical area, this activity and this material is not useful for you. Depending on the age, the knowledge, and the previous experience of the kids. Also, depending on what you want to teach, you can use this circuit again and again for different types of activities. If you're working with very small children, you might just want them to understand what's happening during those seasons. So you could have pictures about how nature looks like during winter, spring, summer, and autumn. For older children, you could do different nature phenomenon during those four seasons, like the hedgehog. What does it do? How does it look like during the different seasons of the year? What's happening in nature during the different seasons of the year. More in detail for all the children. In this way, even if you're working as a teacher in school, the seasonal circle will be a big help. And for you, you could highlight different topics from the perspective of the seasons, like the development of a butterfly or animals which are sleeping in winter, like the head shock I mentioned. You could also talk about festivals of the year, like having Thanksgiving and Christmas in winter and so on. So that the seasons you could to cultural lag cultures activity, cultural activities of the year, which are typical for the area in which you are. And have well photos of what's happening, which activities, which festivals, which holiday seasons during which part of the year? If you want to do a birthday. That is especially for young children, that is before they are six years old or until the asic CS old. Let them hold that globe. Stand with them. Month is where they are born and walk around the yearly so-called, That is the Earth wandering around the sun as often as they are old, that save the child is three years out and born in August. The Charles would stand where Augustus in summer and walk around three times holding the globe and his hand. In this way, we allow the children to understand why their first birthday is after one year and assert birthday only after that low-pass been circling the sun for three times. That it's important for the children to learn the Four Seasons and understand what's going on in those seasons before they will learn the 12 months of the year. Due to climatic change. Many things are not the way they used to be, but the seasons should be there. So even though it's too warm or too cold or too dry, please still talk about the seasons and how they look like. You could also work on with all the children on the climatic change, like having pictures taken in December 20 years ago, 100 years ago, and just last year and working on the climatic change so much.
