About This Class

Shrines are constructed from all sorts of materials: books, match boxes, tins, wooden boxes and more.

In this class I will teach you the techniques I used to make my shrine. I'll be using foam board to create the body of the shrine. Foam board is a low-cost easy to use material readily available in craft stores. It can be manipulated in a number of ways, meaning there are endless possible shrine projects in store for you once you've mastered the basics! I'll be decorating the shrine with some art and craft supplies I've gathered for this project.

I was inspired to create a shrine to Frida Kahlo after seeing an exhibition of her work. Kahlo is a personal hero of mine and I wanted to create a shrine celebrating her courageous, creative life.
