Project Description

Hello Everyone!

In this class I am so excited to take a big nerdy leap into color with you.

Project Description:

This class’s project is super easy. Just take some old artwork and give it new life with new fresh color palettes. You can either choose a vector digital illustration or a finished vector pattern. They just have to have been created to start off with in Adobe Illustrator or other vector program such as Adobe Draw on the iPad.

  1. Look for color inspiration around you. Use art supplies, magazines or even look online for color inspiration.
  2. Open Adobe Illustrator and save your new color palettes.
  3. Follow my videos to learn tips about using the Recolor Artwork Tool.
  4. Use the Recolor Artwork Tool to recolor your artwork. Choose a couple of different palettes to relate different moods.
  5. Upload your original designs and your freshly colored designs to the Class Project gallery.

I seriously can’t wait to see all of the amazing color palettes you come up with! Feel free to use my projects as inspiration. But I ask that you try to find your own unique style and use your own instinct when choosing color palettes that suit your artistic style.

Also please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions, I am of course here to help if you get stuck anywhere along the way.

You can also find me on Instagram and YouTube for more content.

Thanks so much for taking my class!

XOXO Kristina
