About This Class

Class 1 in my new series: Becoming a Confident Tangler

Learn new patterns and gain a new tool for choosing how to put these patterns and others onto your tile!

ec606818

I am often asked how I choose the patterns I use, and though it comes almost natural to me nowadays, I know that encouraging people just to practice doesn't cut it. So, I borrowed an idea from Zentangle® HQ and my husband's love for tabletop gaming and adventure, and created a fun game/tool everyone can use to pick patterns! This method is also encouraged by the Zentangle® founders and they include the same tools in their official kit.

I will demonstrate a couple of new patterns, as well as some variations on patterns I've taught in my previous classes. I want to show you that you can break the "rules" for these patterns and have some fun and add some flair!

Materials you'll need for this class:

Pens - I recommend fineliners such as Micron Pigma pens

Paper - I recommend artist tiles 3.5" in size

Pencil - standard HB or 2B work great!

Blending stump - find these at your local arts and crafts stores in the drawing section, they're super cheap!

Game die or scrap paper and a cup

If you don't have the recommended supplies, that's ok! Use any pen and paper you have laying around! Get creative!
