About This Class

I'd like to paint with you a lotus flower with stem and leaves in traditional Chinese painting.

Lotus is a symbol of life and happiness.

Bright and clean, though it rises out of the mud, it is connected with purity and beauty in China.

Lotus also means perfection; its leaves, flowers and seeds simbolises the whole circle of the Universe.

At the class consisting from five parts we will train to draw a beautiful lotus in different technics, using traditional ink and colors.

The lessons will describe in detail how to draw a white lotus with a contour, and its leaf with a large spot using the "master's brush". You will be able to master the technique of working with traditional Chinese materials. It also shows how to draw a lotus boll and arrowhead aquatic plant.

We will learn how to make different lotus flowers and basic strokes for drawing the stem and it’s petals

- to make alive lotuses using ink and one color only

- аnd, of course, we will create two wonderful compositions in traditional Chinese technique!

-Small round plate
-Set of mineral paints MARIES palette of 12 colors, or another brand of mintral paints for chinees/japanees painting. (we will make turquoise color of blue and green)

1. Introduction: Hello, will pay today a White Lotus flower with stem and leaves. In traditional Chinese painting, law, this is a symbol of life and happiness, right? At the class consists of five parts. We will trend to draw a beautiful lotus in black and white technique using traditional ink drawing. Welcome to draw the most mystical and symbolic plant in Chinese art. 2. White Lotus and it's petals to draw: The first lesson about lattice, I will tell you how to make the form of the construction of the plant in general, we always use outline drawing for the White Lotus.
